Scott Jones: A very special child from different people and one of the two main protagonists. He was an eight-year-old child rebel diagnosed with several mental disabilities (such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum, or Asperger Syndrome). He is the younger half-brother of Ryan Waygetter and the first biological son of a retired senior detective from Grimsborugh David Jones. Under the supervision of his later great grandfather, an astrologer, Scott has an heirloom astrolabe and has psychic powers to help him solve the crimes and assist the hunters track down the supernatural criminals to bring them to justice. As Red Masque, he had an elemental Japanese katana Blade of Celestial created by legendary moon princess Kaguya-hime to slay monsters in his path and protect anyone from danger.
Ryan Waygetter: One of the two main protagonists, he is a nine-year-old descendant of the English pirate captain of the Black Sparrow, Mary Read when his biological mother, a pirate Veronica Waygetter left him under his legal guardian, the alchemist Rebecca Flamel's care when he was two years old. Although he was once a legitimate son of Jones and was left with a compass along with the glowing cutlass to take the enemies down in his path. Despite being an illegitimate son of Jones, he is an older half-brother of Scott.
Chelsea Delaney: One of the two deuteragonists, she is the eight-year-old daughter of Grimsborough Police Lab Chief Grace Delaney, her father Joseph Barnet is the descendant of Jonathan Barnet, the pirate hunter that hunted Ryan's ancestor, Mary Read. She always followed in her mother's footsteps in self-discovery around the world and spent her overachieving lifetime of study throughout her childhood. She also dreamed of teaching children someday as well as disciplining them. She is the first best friend of Scott and Ryan and she had a pet lab rat with her.
Katie Bell: The grand-niece of Grimsborough librarian Constance Bell, she was once the first childhood friend of Scott since he came into the local Grimsborough library and they seemed to like each other, bonding over books and stories until they formed their first friendship when Scott always able to return the library books in time. Years later, after reuniting in Japan, she and Scott are still closer to each other as inseparable best friends and this time embark on the adventure with the hunters.
Captain Gregory Read: The current captain of Black Sparrow and the other descendant of Mary Read, he is the estranged great-uncle of Ryan Waygetter and the uncle of Veronica Waygetter. Despite being the criminal pirate around the world after his niece left all alone leaving his grand-nephew motherless and orphaned, Captain Read is shown responsible uncle to the boys and a caring guardian to Annika Masson. He had a pet parrot named after his late wife Thomasin when his son Tom was little. Once his son took over his position when he was gone, Captain Read was able to accompany the children safely to change his ways into a civilized self.
Rebecca Flamel: An infamous alchemist in the whole wide world and the daughter of Nicolas Flamel, she is also the legal guardian of Ryan when his mother Veronica was gone as a toddler. Ever since she hasn't seen Veronica for years, she spent her whole life caring and raising Ryan until Scott came along because of the astrolabe. Later, along with Captain Read, was able to accompany the children safely to change his ways into a civilized self while teaching and tutoring Annika about the outside world.
Chief Jacob Arrow: The chief of the Supernatural Hunters whose wife Lily was killed in a vampire attack set up by his mentor Falcon where he and Ben discovered the existence of supernatural creatures and hunted them to save many people's lives. He lost his left arm fighting supernatural beings alone, forcing him to recruit the team. Ironically, he had a son named Lloyd and feared that the same fate awaited him soon. As the chief of the supernatural hunters, Chief Arrow and the Supernatural Hunter Team set out to investigate various supernatural attacks across the United States.
Gwendolyn Harper: One of two hunting partners whose family were supernatural hunters and did not share their views on them. She is one of the children's three friends and the best friend of tech expert Hope Newman. She fell in love with a vampire named Pierce Cromwell and they had a son named after Arthur Darkwood, once known as Aratoth. She had a fear of spiders which Ryan used to love collecting when his mother was away while he was two and so was his great-uncle.
Luke Fernandez: One of two hunting partners, Luke used to live in New Mexico when he was seven before he was taken to foster care to grow up. He witnessed a ghost attack which inspired him to become a supernatural hunter. He did meet the children when Chief Arrow mistakenly took Scott in that day although acted as a big brother figure to the children. Luke met and had a crush on a dhampir witch named Annabelle Leek as well as adopted a chupacabra his grandmother told him when he was a child and named after Ronnie Hawk, a dhampir and paranormal TrendVidder.
Annabelle Leek: As the daughter of the vampire leader, Dr. Aculus, and a witch hunter Lorraine Leek as well as a descendant of Petunia Leek, Annabelle has been raised by her grandmother Agnes until she unleased her spirit animal, a bat named Brightburn. She ran away and was taken in by the hunters to become one of them. As a vigilante along with Brightburn, Annabelle dedicates herself to bringing peace between humans and supernatural beings while protecting those from danger at all costs.
Ben Shepherd: A medic who was an army surgeon from a military family, he had a son John from his former flame during his time in the army navy with Jacob. Since he and Chief Arrow formed a supernatural hunting team 27 years ago after Lily died in a vampire attack, Ben begins to treat the teams' injuries and ensure their well-being, as well as the children and Annika, came along in the hope of finding a true family in them with the help of Scott and Ryan's presences. He enjoys cooking for the hunters and the children and making teas for them.
John Shepherd: The son of Ben and his old flame. Like his father, he was an amateur soldier from a military family just like his grandfather Michael. He often assisted the team in investigating supernatural murders across the United States and bonded with the children. He has been very with Lloyd since his teenage years but has grown closer to each other since their first childhood meeting. Therefore they eventually forged an unbreakable but passionate relationship.
Lloyd Arrow: A weapons expert and the son of Chief Jacob Arrow although he discovers his true self as half-human, half-fairy when he was born. He has been following his mother's footsteps to find his true destiny. He had a crush on a tech expert and had a rivalry with John for her love. Despite their rivalry Lloyd and John bonded with each other and became a couple along with Hope.
Priya Desai: An Indiana-American chemist who worked in big pharma as a pharmacist until she was bitten by a werewolf on her way home late just as Ben and Lloyd saved her. She gets her job at big pharma and embarks on a road while missing her big family. She fell in love with another werewolf named Zander Stark and got married.
Hope Newman: A tech expert was raised, created, and homeschooled by her guardian, a demon Rathimael, also known as Bob Nelson and The Pilgrim. When he was kidnapped and murdered by demons by age 17, Hope became the supernatural hunter and often clashed with Gwen. Because the prophecy said that the traitor and the fifth key become one, Hope took Arthur's demon form and defeated the demon queen to save the world thus keeping her demon powers as well.
Felix Reed: A wheelchair-bounded lore expert when a lizard monster chomped on him, he spent his life studying and researching the lore and occult until he was hired by Jacob. He was later avenged by Scott when he slain the same lizard monster that trying to attack him again. He loves to watch Weirder Stuff which Scott and Ryan often watched yearly and spent time with them bonding over the show.
Annika Masson: A nephalem-human hybrid wanderer whom the hunters and the children met on a Japan trip last year. Unbeknownst to her, she is the estranged daughter of one of the demon queen's faithfuls, Matheron (ake George Mathison, disguised as an FBI agent). She loves animals, insects, nature, and even children, mainly Scott, Ryan, Chelsea, and Katie. She and Scott had a strong but unlikely bonded friendship ever since the first meeting in Japan although Scott is very protective of her from threats, especially the stalking neohuman Otto Kessel, the archenemy of Grimsborough police.
