Wanda POV

I am wandering in the shadow of Ered Gorgoth, and see an elf rush by in the pursuit of the greatest of all the wolves of Morgoth. I travel into Ered Gorgoth, and come across Ungoliant the mother of all spiders the first and greatest of her kin. Ungoliant looks at me with all of her eyes fixed on my person, and says.

"Why do you trespass upon my lands mortal?" Ungoliant

"I heard of the great Terror of these lands you greatest of them all, and wished to see for myself if the tales and stories are true." Wanda

"Now that you have seen for yourself what do you say of me Ungoliant Mother of all Spiders on Arda." Ungoliant

"I see that you are indeed great and as magnificent as the night, but it makes me sad that you have absolutely nothing of true value to call your own." Wanda

Ungoliant preens at the praise of the fearless mortal standing before her, but bristles at the slight which came after. Ungoliant narrows her eyes at me, and says.

"Alright then mortal what do you find to be truly valuable?" Ungoliant

"Goodness has value beyond measure." Wanda

"How would I a creature of Darkness obtain something so valuable?" Ungoliant

"Love is the heart of Goodness, and it is easy to obtain, but while there are many kinds of love the easiest for you to obtain would be Romantic Love." Wanda

"How should I go about obtaining this Romantic Love?" Ungoliant

"You bond with a Mate." Wanda

"I have mated with all manner of beasts and felt nothing." Ungoliant

"Not a beast bonding with an Elf will give you what you desire." Wanda

"An Elf? Elves do not pass my lands it is impossible." Ungoliant

"Not so I saw a male elf pass by here on my way in. Surly he has killed the greatest of all Morgoth's wolves which he is hunting, and will pass by here again on his way home." Wanda

All severity leaves Ungoliant, and she says in a merry voice.

"Bring him to me my friend, and your sadness at my plight will be no more." Ungoliant

"I will bring him as you requested, but I am wondering if you are capable of taking an Elf like form?" Wanda

"I am able why do you ask?" Ungoliant

"That is the best way to approach him when he gets here." Wanda

"Very well I will be in the required form when you return with my Mate." Ungoliant

I turn around, and leave with no further conversation passing between myself and Ungoliant.

Narrator POV

Wanda leaves the way she came, and as soon as she has left Ered Gorgoth she sees Beleg Strongbow passing by on his way back to Doriath. Wanda approaches him, and says.

"Kind Sir I am in need of assistance, and I am hoping that you can help me." Wanda

"How may I be of assistance Miss?" Beleg

"My name is Wanda, and my friend is lost in Ered Gorgoth and is having trouble finding her way out before she runs a foul of the various terrors dwelling there." Wanda

"What is your friends name?" Beleg

"You can ask her when you find her we must hurry." Wanda

"Very well. Show me where your friend entered the mountains, and I will find her then bring her back safely to you." Beleg

"Thank you so much for your assistance Beleg." Wanda

"So you have heard of me then?" Beleg

"I have indeed heard of the Greatest Hunter among the Eldar Beleg Strongbow." Wanda

Beleg smirks, and follows Wanda to the place where she entered, and then follows the foot prints into Ered Gorgoth.

Wanda sneaks back into the mountains taking a hidden route that should take her to Ungoliant just before Beleg gets there. Wanda arrives at her destination with time to spare, and as soon as Ungoliant sees her she changes forms appearing in the form of an Elf. Wanda nods to her friend, and steps into the shadows so she will not be seen. Wanda sees Beleg arrive, and Ungoliant approaches him, and Beleg says.

"Your friend told me that you have lost your way in the mountains, and are in need of assistance finding your way out." Beleg

"I am indeed quite lucky that such a strong and good looking ellon has come to assist me." Ungoliant

Beleg looks at the elleth who is attracted to him, and finds her to be quite pleasing, and then takes her hands saying.

"What is your name elleth?" Beleg

"I am Morwen, and what is your name ellon?" Morwen

"I am Beleg Captain of the Marchwardens of Doriath." Beleg

Morwen sighs, and says.

"You must be hungry after travelling such a long way. I am sorry that I have nothing to give you." Morwen

"It is alright as I am well provisioned, and would enjoy sharing a meal with you." Beleg

"Thank you that would be most enjoyable." Morwen

Beleg and Morwen sit down on the ground to enjoy their meal, and while this is happening Wanda sneaks a pouch with a pair of silver rings and a pair of gold rings in it. Wanda watches as the couple gets to know each other, and after some time Beleg takes the pouch from his pack, and puts the smaller silver ring on Morwen's finger and she puts the larger one on Beleg's finger.

One year later the couple exchange their silver rings for gold, and then bind themselves together for all eternity. While Morwen is resting in Beleg's arms afterwards she marvels at the warmth that has filled her being. She now understands what Wanda meant when she said that she had nothing of value, and now that she does she is never letting her treasure go. While she is thinking these things Beleg wakes, and says.

"Morwen my love I know there is something strange about you, and I would like to know what." Beleg

"I will show you what is strange about me, but you have to promise me something." Morwen

"Anything." Beleg

"Do not be afraid of me." Morwen

"I promise not to fear you." Beleg

Morwen steps away from Beleg, and returns to her true form then says.

"I am Ungoliant mother of all spiders, and you have filled me with the warmth of love." Ungoliant

Beleg keeps his promise to his wife allowing no fear into his heart. Beleg dresses, and sits down next to Ungoliant's leg falling back to sleep. Ungoliant senses that all of the eggs in her sac have been fertilized by Beleg, and Ungoliant goes a little ways away laying her eggs where they will be visible to her mate. When Beleg wakes up he sees his wife sitting next to what he guesses is a truly massive egg sac. He walks up to her and says.

"What is that next to you?" Beleg

"An egg-sac full of our offspring." Ungoliant

"How long do your eggs usually take to hatch?" Beleg

"Five months. Why?" Ungoliant

"So our children could hatch anytime between Five months to a Year?' Beleg

"Why a year my love?" Ungoliant

"Elflings take a year before they are grown enough to be born." Beleg

"Hmm well at least we will be able to tell which of our offspring are greater in power and stature, and which ones are not." Ungoliant

Beleg looks puzzled by this statement, but determines to wait, and discover the meaning of his wife's words. The couple watches over their eggs, and five months later all but one of their eggs have hatched. Ungoliant gives their lesser children names, but she waits to see what her mate will name the greater one the one who will be her equal in power and stature. Seven months later the final egg hatches, and an elfling hatches from the egg. Ungoliant and Beleg fawn over their little one, but when Beleg picks up their daughter he sees a red spider-shaped mark on her back. Since this latest clutch of hatch-lings hatched from their eggs Ungoliant feels that the warmth in her heart has grown. As Ungoliant is musing on this fact Ungoliant remembers Wanda telling her that there are many kinds of love, and Ungoliant realizes that one of those other kinds of love must be love for ones offspring.

Beleg sits down with the greatest of his offspring sitting in his lap, and says.

"I give you the name Moriel. My beautiful 'daughter of night'." Beleg

Ungoliant hears the name that Beleg has given to the greatest of her daughters ever to be born, and is touched that Beleg gave her a name that tells everyone that she is her daughter. The daughter of Morwen which means night, and Ungoliant gets to work weaving a blanket that will keep her most precious daughter warm even when she is fully grown. Ungoliant weaves this blanket with unlight, and reinforces the threads with the love that she feels for her daughter. Ungoliant continues weaving the blanket until it is the same size as the blanket in Beleg's bedroll. Ungoliant shows the finished blanket to Beleg, and says.

"Beleg look what I have made for Moriel." Ungoliant

"Ungoliant it is so beautiful. It looks like the night sky. Varda herself marvel at the magnificent beauty of this blanket." Beleg

"That is the highest of compliments that a Valir would be in awe of my work." Ungoliant

Ungoliant takes on once more the form of an elf, and throws herself into the arms of her beloved husband. Ungoliant knows that she can no longer be considered truly evil because she now understands what it is to love, and that feeling has irreversibly changed her. Beleg sends a message to his King telling him that it will be awhile before he will be able to return to Doriath, and that when he does he will not be returning alone. Beleg talks to Ungoliant about them moving to Doriath, and Ungoliant is very hesitant about the prospect because of the confrontation between herself and Melian. Ungoliant is thinking about how this could possibly work while she is wrapping Moriel in the blanket that she made for her. The solution to their problem presents itself to Ungoliant as she is watching her daughter sleep, and she says.

"Beleg we could live happily in Doriath if I stay in my elf form since I would not be seen as a threat even if Melian figures out who I am." Ungoliant

"That is a good plan. When can we use it?" Beleg

"How about now?" Ungoliant

"Yes. It will take some time to get to Doriath. It is a good idea to leave as quickly as possible." Beleg Ungoliant changes into her elf form then tells her and Beleg's lesser children to travel over the Blue Mountains into Eriador, and picks up Moriel then follows Beleg out of Ered Gorgoth.

The couple have travelled far, and are in sight of the forest of Doriath. Beleg and Morwen pass through the Griddle of Melian with no problem, and they make their way through the forest arriving at Menegroth. Krystal Frost takes Morwen to the tailors to commission some clothes for the cute little elfling. The elleths make Moriel many beautiful outfits, and they also teach Morwen about diaper changing since this is obviously her first elfling. Morwen settles into a life in Doriath with Beleg, but her true self shows through in her shadow. Everyone in Menegroth is in awe of the blanket that Morwen made for her daughter Moriel. Morwen goes to work with the weavers, and Morwen finds that she can make a most excellent fabric by combining her unlight with hithlain. Morwen uses her power to store up as much of this fibre as she can get, and is happy that she found a little bit mixed in with the other supplies in the first place. Morwen finds that her new fabric is as hard as dragon scales, and so Morwen weaves exact duplicates of every piece of clothing in her husbands wardrobe out of the Gloom Cloth. When she has finished Morwen using as much stealth as she can switches the duplicates made of Gloom Cloth with the originals in her husbands possession including what he was wearing before his bath. With the duplicates in place Morwen disposes of the originals, and returns to the weaving room to begin working on a replacement wardrobe for Moriel. With how quickly her elfling is wearing out her clothes she doesn't need to bother duplicating them all Morwen needs to do is make new ones, and the best thing is that they will grow with Moriel, and also that they will never wear out.

When Morwen is called before the King and Queen Melian does indeed figure out who Morwen is, but Melian also sees the love that has completely filled the heart of Ungoliant destroying all the evil that once was there. Seeing this Melian relents in her purpose, and instead she says.

"I wish to commission a dress for my daughter from the finest weaver in Menegroth. Can you do this for me?" Melian

"Yes my Queen." Morwen

"Good make sure that it is your finest work Morwen the Weaver." Melian

"Yes my Queen. I will make a dress that will enhance the beauty of Tinúviel greatly." Morwen

"Excellent when can I expect my commission to be completed?" Melian

"I will have the dress finished in two weeks." Morwen

"Good you may go." Melian

Morwen leaves the Throne room relieved that things went so well, but also determined to do the best she can on the dress for Tinúviel. When Morwen has returned to the weaving room Morwen begins weaving a dress made of unlight fortified by the warmth in her heart, and knows that this dress will be just as beautiful as the blanket she made for Moriel. Morwen takes the time required to do the job properly, and when she is finished Morwen asks Tinúviel to come for a fitting. When Tinúviel tries the dress on it fits her perfectly, and Melian pays for the dress, and then they leave. The couples lives go on undisturbed for many years apart from Moriel watching her friend Nellas disappear in a red light never to be seen again. That is until Beleg is sent to retrieve Turin, and bring him back to Menegroth. While her father is gone a now fully grown Moriel decides to spend some time in Nargothrond, and when she gets there Moriel settles into life in this city. When she has been in the city for a year Moriel meets a completely unattached Celebrimbor. Celebrimbor falls deeply in love with Moriel, and takes the proper steps to court this amazing elleth. When the courtship period ends Moriel is happy that she is going to marry the ellon that she loves. After they are married Celebrimbor and Moriel spend many happy years together until Celebrimbor leaves shortly before the fall of Nargothrond. Moriel tells her beloved husband that they will see each other very soon, but for now her presence is required in the city. Celebrimbor gives his wife a precise map to where he is going, and bids her farewell with the knowledge that they will see each other again.

Just before Nargothrond is about fall Moriel leaves with Finduilas making sure that her father has a copy of the map that Celebrimbor gave her. The two elleth sneak away from the city using Moriel's blanket to conceal them from anyone who might be looking for them. They are following the map, and when they are a safe distance from the city Turin intercepts them. Turin is surprised to find that it is his friend Moriel who has spirited away his love, and as soon as Turin promises Moriel that they will go some place safe does she allow him to leave with Finduilas. Moriel made Finduilas vow to destroy her fathers map lest it fall into enemy hands. Once the promise is made Moriel continues on to Gondolin so she may be reunited with Celebrimbor. Meanwhile in Doriath Beleg is asking his wife why his clothing was able to protect him from being harmed by a sword of worth. Morwen tells Beleg that his cloths are made of fabric as strong as Dragon scales. Beleg figures out what his wife did, and starts laughing while holding his dear wife to him. They live happily in Doriath until the Sacking, and leave the havens of Sirion following after Thingol and his family into Eriador. Moriel and Celebrimbor are also in the Havens of Sirion at the same time as Beleg and Morwen. Celebrimbor and Moriel along with other Noldorian elves also go to Eriador only they settle in Eregion living in Ostinedhil the capitol city of Eregion. As Celebrimbor is the greatest of all Elven Smiths he leads the Gwaith-ai-mir-dain the
