The Rift

-Gemworld-

There was an all out war in Gemworld. The battle between Princess Amethyst, the heir to the house of Amythest, and Dark Opal, an evil sorcerer from the house of Opal.

Engaging in a daring sword fight. Princess Amethyst clashes her blade against Dark Opal. It intensifies when Opal uses magic against the princess.

"We had battles like this before, Dark Opal! But we know in the end that time and again, you will fail!" Princess Amethyst declared with the battle tone declaration. Flipping backward as Opal uses dark prisms to crystalized the floors. And slashes some in the air.

Amethyst summoned small pillars of crsytals and shot energy blasts after they spun horizontally. But they missed.

With one last trick, Dark Opal shot a beam of energy. "Reflectus litanas!" Amythest blocks the beam with her prism sword. But it broke into 5 beams, ricochetting all over the temple. Breaking every crystal that was still on the floors, walls, etc. But then, the unthinkable happened. The last two beams shot at the glowing prism. Once they hit, the prism shattered into a dent. But then it shines a spark of light.

"Ashamed that this time, it will be different!" Taunted Dark Opal.

Amythest gasped once she realized her mistake. The prism exploded into multiple pieces. "Gah!" She exclaimed.

She covered her eyes as the light blinded her. The pieces of the prism then transformed into portals and disappeared one-by-one."Oh, no." Amethyst said."Hahahaha! Face it, Amethyst! The order of dimensions is going bent to my will!" Amethyst saw on of tbe pieces of the prism falling close by.

She runs to grab it. But as she leaps and reaches her hand for the falling piece. Dark Opal knocked her towards the wall and grabbed it first.

Amethyst tumbled back as she saw Opal with the prism in his hands. Opal disappeared in a portal.

Amethyst gets up to try and formulate a new plan. Then she sees something glowing, a faint purple light. Amethyst rummages through the pile of crystals, and it turned out to be one of the pieces of the Prism Opal had broken.

Amethyst felt that there is still hope to save the other dimensions. Then her ally, Lord Topaz from the House of Topaz came to the temple, in concern for Amythest's wellbeing.

"Princess! What happened?" He asked as Topaz approached her. "You okay?" Helping the sorceress princess up to her feet.

"Dark Opal broke the prism, and git away withr one of the pieces."

The armies are injured, but they survived once Opal got what he wanted. Amethyst looks at the piece she got.

"We've been guarding this and managed to fend off against our nemesis and his army. But now, he succeeded. What kind of sorcerer am I to fail to guard this prism?"

"It's juat a first fail. It's like my great-grandfather said to my mother: if one stone breaks, even a tiny piece can still do the trick." Topaz said, half-jokingly, but only for advice. Since after all, not only is he a prince, but the most trusted ally who became Amythest's adviser.This got Amethyst thinking. But Topaz felt awkward when she looked at him and blinked. "Sorry, wrong choice of metaphors." He said.

"Actually, Prince Topaz. You're onto something."

Amethyst then uses the piece of the prism to activate its magic and waits for the moment to see if it actually works. To stop Dark Opal before he gets all the pieces.

-Vale-

Ruby and Jaune are chasing Mercury, who is in Mistral, after a failed assassination on a huntsman whom Jaune and Ruby are protecting from him.

"You're not getting away this time, Mercury!" Ruby shouted as she aims her sniper at the assassin's son. But Mercury uses his combat move by kicking upwards and acrobatically deflecting her bullets thanks to his weaponized prosthetic legs.

Rubt keeps firing until Jaune launches his attack on Mercury by slashing down from the air.But Mercury has the advantage by lifting his feet upwards, pushing away Jaune's feet and throwing him off. But Jaune managed to balance himself, landing on the other side and using his shield to recover.

Ruby took her turn to launch at Mercury. Spinning her scythe at him. Mercury clashes with his legs, proving to be an incredible threat despite not having semblance.

Suddenly, when Mercury was going to a counterattack at the two young hunters. He was strangely floating as the gravity became lighter.

"We got you right where you are!" Sun and Blake are about to apprehend Mercury until they were lifted off their feet as well.

"Oh, no!" Jaune exclaimed.

"What is going on?!" Ruby shouted as they were also floating off the rooftop.

"Aw, geez! and just when I was about to have my fun!" Scoffed Mercury.

After being pulled into the portal, Ruby grabbed Jaune's hand. Then they glanced at Sun and Blake, as well as the rest of their friends. "Quick, grab my hand!" Jaune olds out his hand for Sun to reach it as Blake tugs onto him.

But it was futile when Sun, Blake Mercury, and Emerald, Sage, Neptune, Weiss, Nora, Ren, Scarlet, and Oscar are suck we d into another tunnel of the rift.

"I don't know! But I don't trust where it's leading us!" Ruby shouts in response as the rift became louder.

-Japan-

Just as Leonardo, a blue-masked ninja turtle, had dreamed of, he is in Japan. One of the places he wanted to visit since hearing stories from his master.

He, along with Karai, are on a high-speed chase on a motorcycle. Going after a samurai battlemech built by Baxter Stockman, after he was hired by a mysterious boss — since Shredder's demise."Hahaha! Have fun with your little crusade! You'll never catch me!" Baxter taunted, as his battlemech was much more advanced than before. Using old Kraang tech to create more robots. The battle mech Stockman is riding is also holding the remnants of the Mutagen Bomb that was buried in Japan. "Good thing the Utrom warned us about the mutagen bomb! We cannot let Stockman blow it up in the city!" Karai exclaimed as she steered the bike into a U-turn. Leo, who is behind Karai, deflects laser shots that are on the back cannons of the battlemech. "Whatever Stockmans' planning next, he will never succeed!" Donnie and Casey are in the alleyway, awaiting Stockman to head for their path. Casey is readying his hockey stick to aim his hockey puck bombs at the battlemech.

"Okay, on my mark. 3...2..." Before Donnie can finish, Casey inquires when he saw a vortex from the sky. "Hey, what's that?"

Donnie looks up, he saw it too. Jaune and Ruby fell from the vortex. "Ahhhh!" They screamed. And landed roughly on top of Baxter's mech from the head.

"Ow!" Jaune groaned.

"Hey! Get off you pesky kids!" Baxter yelled shaking the mech's head to get the young hunters off. But they were holding on to not fall off.

"Something tells me you're not being nice!" Ruby taunts back. Stockman stops and continues to shake. Just before Stockman can swat the hunters away, Leo and Karai leaped on the mech's back and plunged their swords on the panel.

"Oh, hey, that's every robot's weakness!" Ruby squealed, remembering some of the boss battles weak spots in video games. "Wait a minute." Ruby gasped as she sees the gear their two new allies are wearing. "Ninja swords...ninja armor and gear...Now.I get it, you're ninjas!" Ruby screamed happily to see anything extraordinary.

"Who the heck are you guys?!" Karai exclaimed.

"We're huntsmen!" Jaune adds.

"You're what now?!" Leo inquired.

"Huntsmen! I'm Ruby, and that's Jaune!" Stockman controls the mech to spin fast, throwing the four away.

"Can we get to the introductions, later?!" Karai rolled back after Stockman uses his mech to throw star blades at her. But he missed.

Ruby spirals her scythe to deflects the shurikens. Jaune defended by using his shield and block the melee attack.

"Jaune, give me a boost!" Said Ruby. Jaune nodded and used his shield for Ruby to stand on and launched her into midair. Once Ruby aims her scythe above the mech's weak point. She spins sideways to turn down. Destroying the panel. Leo wasted no time to slice the hatch open to pull Stockman out. Jaune makes a finishing blow by combining his shield and sword into one double blade. Slashing upward. The mech fell back and exploded. Much to Stockman's dismay and anger. "No, no! My invention! My plans! I will get those new kids for this!" Leo still got a hold on Stockman to not let him escape.Karai, impress that Ruby is skilled with a scythe. Lighlty punches her.

"Nice scythe, kid. I think you and me are gonna be BFFs." This comment caused Ruby to smile in glee. Even though they just met, she felt like she had found a new friend."Thanks a lot." Leo shakes both Ruby and Jaune's hands before parting from new allies. "Aw, we missed the battle?! And who are those guys?" Mikey, one of Leo's brothers, along with Donnie, and Raph, and friends April and Casey came to check what is going on. Leo spoke up. "Well what happened was..." Leo paused. Seeing that his team except him and Karai are gone.

"Hey, where did they go?" Karai asked. Jaune then points his finger down to the ground. "I can give you one guess." It was the same vortex that brought Ruby and Jaune to this world. Then the four heroes jumped to tbe same portal to see where it's leading them.

-Happy Harbor-

In Earth-16, Wonder Girl (Donna Troy) and Aqualad (Kaldur'rum) are on a hunt for the missing heroes and villains, disappearing. It all started when the Justice League disappeared.

And so did their teammates. "I don't see them in Mt. Justice either. And I doubt it was the work of anyone from the Light. If anyone, it could be Kalrion." Aqualad suspects, knowing the witch boy is into playing tricks to cause choas."We cannot rule anything out yet. It's not just the heroes. But also our team, our enemies. It feels too eerie without a single sound of life inside the cave." Wonder Girl points out. Kaldur nods.

The two then ventured into Gotham City. And neither, hero, villain, nor civillian are around. It felt like a ghost city with the silence filling the void. "This feels empty. Not a sound, nor aura in sight." Wonder Girl said, she can sense any aura throughout her training.

Then a vortex appears above them. Wonder Girl and Aqualad armed with their weapons, getting into a stance. But four individuals fell to the ground.

"Ah!"

"My back!"

"Sorry."

The two teen superheroes were shocked to see the four allies they recognized from other realms. "Leonardo? Karai?" Wonder Girl inquired. Then turned to Jaune and Ruby. "Jaune and Ruby? You're all here?" Aqualad asked."Aqualad!" Ruby and Jaune exclaimed excitedly.

Then the two hunters turned to the two ninja. "Wait, you knew them?!" They all asked in unison. "How is this possible? Did something happen in your worlds?" Wonder Girl asked. "Not that we knew of. But all we know was that these weird portals keep appearing out of nowhere and sucked all our friends in our worlds." Ruby explains. "Then we ran into these guys." Gesturing at Leo and Karai.

"It all makes sense. A dimensional rift." Aqualad."Who in the world would want to create rifts between our realms? The multiverse?" Wonder Girl inquired. "And why our allies and enemies?" "Whatever this is, it is far sinister. Either they want to merge, or break the fabric of space and time." Their conversation is cut short when another vortex appeared underneath them, and the 6 heroes fell into the portal. Which leads to who knows where it takes them next.
