LITO: Infinity Rising
Chapter Six (Flipside Chapter): A Wounded Gazelle (Part 1)
After the red wolf finished his rant about Sonic and how he had failed to save them, Gazelle was
about to turn and face the crowd. But not before Tails interrupted everything by flying in
Gazelle's line of vision and shouting, "Gazelle, look!" while pointing at Sonic who seemed to be
having either a nervous breakdown, a seizure, or both. Gazelle turned to see her friend circling
around, as if trying to look for something. Then he saw him fall down to the ground and volt up
and down while on his back (almost as if he was already being defibrillated). Gazelle was about
to rush to him before Talis and Chief Bogo held her back. "Easy Gazelle," Chief Bogo warned, "If
Sonic actually is having a seizure, then the best thing to do in this case is to wait it out for the
medical team to arrive." Gazelle, attempting to reign in her compassionate worry for her friend,
knew that he was right; but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel like she had to be in the
middle of the action doing something, saying something to comfort her hurting friend. Especially
after how she had failed to be there for him during the last time he visited; which also happened
to be the first time in a long time, she truly found out what love was. How it acted. How it
showed itself; loyal, honest, faithful, sincere, selfless. How it was all, Love In The Open.
When Sonic's seizure finally ended, Tails and the Chief both allowed Gazelle to come closer to
him. She saw the "scars" that this mysterious villain was able to lay on him while closely
examining Sonic's body. The scars that the wolf was pointing to were actually rough dirt marks,
but they certainly gave the appearance of scars. This was certainly odd to Gazelle, but she was
too concerned for her friend's current condition to even notice. With tears in her eyes, and
sobbing no longer able to be contained, she walked slowly (with a bit of stagger due to the
burden of her emotion) towards her unconscious friend. At her final steps, she collapsed and
knelt down towards him with exhaustion. All of Zootopia and the rest of the Mobians murmured
amongst themselves to each other. Some suggested that Gazelle was simply so sad for her
friend, others scoffed at the move; wondering why anyone would bother helping the "fallen hero
of Mobius." But she didn't care. Not this time. The crowd began to roar in a frenzy. Mobians
going to throw things at Sonic, Zootopians trying to stop them, the ZPD (as well as Sonic's
friends) trying to halt the masses, and Gazelle. The pop-singer, the philanthropist, the champion
of justice. Knelt down to her friend amongst the division she had to witness. Again. But this time,
she didn't care about the division. The crowds weren't even there in her mind this time. Zootopia
wasn't even there in her mind this time. All that mattered to her, was her beloved. "Gazelle?"
another voice called out to her in the midst of all the somber sympathy. "Madame Gazelle?"
Gazelle immediately snapped out of her trance and turned to see Chief Bogo standing next to
her. She also saw that the mob went away after the ZPD set up a barricade and that an
ambulance was right behind Chief Bogo, with an antelope and a chimpanzee carrying a
stretcher, all ready for Sonic. "Madame Gazelle, it's time." Chief Bogo said, sympathetically
reminding her of the inevitable fact, that she would have to let her lover go. As she watched the
medical crew put Sonic in the ambulance and depart for Zootopia Memorial Hospital, she knew
that althoughr it was for Sonic to be physically healed, that didn't mean that the cure for the
anguish in her heart was going to come any sooner.
And that is where I'm going to leave it off for now. Thank you all SO MUCH for the positive views
on this story. I must confess I've been a little sidetracked with life, a few summer jobs (hey,
gotta pay for my summer fun somehow, am I right?) and also I've been REALLY getting into my
other two Sonic-MLP stories. I genuinely apologize for that. Anywho, I thought it'd be fair to
make two Flipside Chapters to show how Gazelle was feeling and/or experiencing what Sonic
was going through (and what she was going through as well), mainly because the previous
chapters were two-part as well and I really want to extend the next chapter into Sonic actually
waking up so that it can feel a bit more like an extended chapter. Anyhow, expect the next
chapter of this story to come soon, I recently finished the next chapter of "More To Me Than
That", so we got that coming up next, then the next chapter of this story, followed by the next
chapter of "Determination of the Strong" , in which I certainly hope that a certain pink horse
decides not to leave me something that just up and destroys my house.
Anywho, as always…
Keep Loving, Keep Edifying, Keep LoveandEdifying! :-D :-D :-D
Catcha later peeps. :-D :-D :-D
