Chapter V: Day 1 Part I of II
Friday (Day 1)

*the sun rises as the music plays*
6:00 AM
(HJ's phone goes off as an alarm to wake up)
(Minecraft note block version of Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt (Morning Mood)" stops playing abruptly)
HJ: *gets up* *stops the noise on his phone* *to the gang* Hey, guys! Get up. Breakfast should be about ready in 15 minutes.
Riga: Ugh, HJ! (yawns) It's too early for this.
Jack: *wakes up automatically from his robot body's sleep mode* HJ? Isn't it a little bit early for this? There are two other people in this cabin who are still sleeping. And there are also other people here in their assigned cabins who still sleeping.
HJ: Kids, we have to have do something to take what the Steamferno Clan has taken over of this camp and bring the whole camp back. Josh, Jamie, Tom, Ryan, and Zoe are ready. *to them* Isn't that right?
Josh, Jamie, Tom, Ryan, and Zoe: Yes, HJ.
HJ: Besides, there's 10 more people in our group that have to get up.
Duke: *gets up* *stretches* (yawns) Okay. I'm up, HJ.
HJ: Make that nine.
Luis: *gets up* Oh, good morning, guys. This is a great opportunity to play my music quietly.
HJ: Now eight. *to Luis* Not now, Luis.
*the other eight members of the team get up*
Tess: Wow, HJ. We got up early as you told us to. I'm still tired, HJ.
Kate: *wakes up automatically from her robot body's sleep mode* Wow, HJ. It's sure way too early for this.
Zack: Yeah, HJ. It's just not easy for all of us to get up early.
HJ: Can we please move things along, you guys?
All 17 in unison, quietly: Yes.
Narrator/EPF: 15 minutes later...
6:15 AM
HJ: Wow, I was wrong. Breakfast doesn't start until another hour. It starts at 7:15. Let's talk to Juan while we're waiting. *to EPF* EPF, find Juan.
EPF: You got it, Hugh Jacob. According to my calculations, Juan should be standing on the front side of the dining hall, and he is 100 blocks away from you.
HJ (to EPF): Thanks, EPF. *to the others* Come on, let's go talk to him. He should be expecting us.
*the gang walks up to the coordinates that EPF gave them where Juan is*
Juan: Hola, Cork Men and rookies. I've been expecting you guys.
HJ: Wow, Juan. You got up early just like us.
Juan: Sí, I did. We didn't get everything done as we planned yesterday. So anyway, we're gonna go to that lake on either Monday or Tuesday. And here's the plan. One of you will swim to the bottom of Lake Sacrificio Profundo and get the secret, hidden evil plans at the very bottom of the lake on the north side of it. And when one of you will swim back to right where we are, you will give the evil plans to me and I'll hack into them and observe them for what the Steamferno Clan will do for their latest evil plan. It's gonna take me awhile to finish hacking into their evil plans and observing them. It'll probably take, like, half a day to do so. I'll hack into the evil plans and observe, like I said, in my hidden hideout to make sure nobody from the Steamferno Clan will look for me about hacking and observing their evil plans. And then, once I'm done observing them, I'll download the info of the plans and give them back to you. And I'll say this again. We're gonna go to that lake either Monday or Tuesday. I'm sorry for any delays.
HJ: What do you mean the mission has been delayed to Monday or Tuesday?
Juan: I mean we're gonna have to wait. Which one of you wants to swim to the bottom of the lake?
HJ: I'll do it.
Juan: Okay, HJ. And I only have one potion left. And the only potion I have left is water breathing that lasts for eight minutes.
HJ: Okay. I don't wanna die from drowning and plus, I'm okay with my breathing underwater to be extended.
Juan: Okay. But remember, HJ. It has done in under eight minutes.
HJ: Okay. We're gonna walk back to our cabin if that's okay with you, Juan.
Juan: Alright.
*the gang walks back to their cabin*
Narrator/EPF: Several minutes later...
6:30 AM
HJ: Wow, you guys. We still have 45 minutes left until breakfast starts.
Josh: Yeah, I can't believe they would let young adults here as well. The six of us are 24 years old and the twelve kids that we're with are all, like, 10 years old.
Jamie: Yeah, it's gonna while before we start our picked activities on the schedule.
Tom: Yeah, I just can't wait for our first activity together with all eighteen of us, in which it is PVE fighting. And I heard we're not fighting real entities. And fighting against practice dummies.
Ryan: Sometimes, we have to do stuff that we don't wanna do.
Zoe: Yeah, but we're here to get this whole entire camp back and get the portion of this summer camp back that the Steamferno Clan occupied. And we must do it before we head back home. Or else, there won't be an overworld to save anymore.
HJ: Zoe's right, you guys.
Drew (to HJ): Uh, HJ?
HJ (to Drew): Yeah, what is it, Drew?
Drew: The other eleven kids and I have been rookies for, like, a year now. How many titles are there, including the rookie title?
HJ: You see, Drew. There are four titles. There's rookie, then there's all-star, then there's pro, and last, but not least, there's the true hero title. It's gonna take years for you and the other 11 kids to reach the max title. In order to reach the next title, which is all-star, you kids have to complete two more missions. Which are this one and one that we will not know about yet.
Drew: Oh, okay.
Duke: Survivors can last for as long they want in the wild.
George: Can't wait for free time later today.
Tess: I wonder if there are any flowers here that I smell.
Kate: Just can't wait for this mission to be over.
Zack: Yeah, this has quite taken an interesting turn on HJ.
Luis: The peaceful music playing quietly on my jukebox is kinda fitting for this vibe.
Rick: I'm listening to peaceful music on my headphones, too.
Nick: Can't wait to fly my kite when we get back home.
Will: I just like to have those plans stolen already.
Riga: It's just not fair that we haven't made any progress on this mission yet.
Jack: Wow, everybody feels nervous.
(noisy, but quiet chatter from the gang)
HJ: Josh, what time is it?
Josh: It's 6:31.
HJ: Wow, only a minute went by?
Narrator/EPF: 14 minutes later...
6:45 AM
HJ: Wow, you guys. Such a beautiful day in the morning, isn't it?
Josh: It sure is, HJ.
Jamie: Yeah, I've been working on my redstone mechanism back home. And it dispenses stone blocks. And also, cobblestone blocks.
Tom: Yeah. I can't wait of what we're gonna have for lunch.
Ryan: Yeah, there's dew everywhere on these grass blocks.
Zoe: I just feel like living the dream here.
HJ (in his thoughts): Just only 30 more minutes until breakfast starts.
Narrator/EPF: 15 minutes later...
7:00 AM
HJ: Wow, just wow. I'm speechless.
Josh: Everyone is getting up according to my calculations.
Drew: HJ, this is not the mission that I'd intended and expected to be.
Jamie: Drew, we will start on this mission eventually.
Tom: Hey, guys. Wanna wait at the front of our cabin until we get called for breakfast?
All 17 in unison: Yes.
HJ: Good idea, Tom.
*the gang walks back to their cabin*
*when the gang walks back to their cabin, they sit on the front porch and wait for until it's time for breakfast*
HJ: *looks at his phone* It's 7:02? Only two minutes went by?
Josh: HJ, it took us two minutes to get back to our cabin right where standing over there in that field.
HJ: (sighs) Okay, Josh. Thanks for letting me know about that.
Narrator/EPF: 13 minutes later...
7:15 AM
(bell ringing in distance)
HJ: That's the bell! Let's go, you guys!
*everyone in the gang stands up and run to the dining hall*
Counselor 1: Okay, guys! Looks like everyone's here and we're having a great time so far.
Counselor 2: Okay, everyone! Listen up! Breakfast is gonna last for 45 minutes. Then after that, you will all head to your activities that you all signed up for.
Counselor 1: Good morning, everyone!
All 300 campers in unison: Good morning, staffers!
Juan: It's good to have you all here. Whether you're from here or from far away from a different country. As you may noticed on the map, the Steamferno Clan has taken over a portion of this camp. But a very famous superhero group and their dozen rookies are here to take back the portion that their sworn enemy group has taken over. Give it up for The Cork Men and their rookies! And also, we're quite surprised to have an incredible amount of 300 campers!
(all 282 campers clap for a few seconds)
Counselor 1: Okay, everyone! Let's have breakfast!
Narrator/EPF: As the gang walks into the dining hall while in line, they eventually get their food and try to know what their plan is to take back the taken over portion by Steamferno Clan. They also come up with different strategies on how they're gonna get past the many members of the Steamferno Clan.
Duke: You know, you guys? The food they have here is great.
Tom: You said it, Duke.
Duke: Thanks, Tom.
Narrator/EPF: 45 minutes later...
8:00 AM
HJ: Okay, you guys. We're going to PVE practice! Now, follow me!
*the gang follows HJ and exit the dining hall*
(steam whistles blow in distance)
Tom: HJ, what was that?
HJ (to Tom): It was those steam smokestacks blowing their whistles behind us next to the dining hall.
Tom: Oh, okay.
*the gang reaches PVE practice*
Juan: Okay, everyone! Welcome to PVE practice! We not gonna fighting real entities, like hostile mobs for example. We're gonna be fighting practice dummies that are armor stands. This is gonna last an hour! We're gonna practice fighting entities so you won't be slain by hostile mobs at night.
*The gang gets ready to fight their assigned practice dummies*
HJ: You know, you guys? It's quite interesting that we have to go against each other in one of our activities.
Jamie: HJ, it's kinda like PVP. We're just gonna practice combat with wooden swords. And we're not gonna hit each other with them. You're just like Tom.
Tom: Hey now, I am right here. *fights his assigned practice dummy with his loaned wooden sword*
Narrator/EPF: 72,000 ticks later...
9:00 AM
Juan: Okay, everyone stop!
*everyone stops all of a sudden*
Juan: It's time to rotate activities.
Tom: Where are we going to next, HJ?
HJ: Archery, Tom.
*the gang walks up to archery*
Counselor 1: Okay, everyone! Follow instructions and be on your very best behavior. And remember the whistle commands.
Tom: Good thing my bow has the Power V, Flame I, Unbreaking III, and Infinity I enchantments.
*everyone draws their bows and arrows*
*everyone tries to aim for the button that will activate a dispenser that will launch fireworks with a flight duration of three*
(many arrows whooshing as they fire from their bows)
(many fireworks launching and exploding)
HJ (whispering to Tom): Tom, don't you think it's cheating to use an enchanted bow here?
Tom (whispering to HJ): Of course not, HJ!
Narrator/EPF: One hour later...
10:00 AM
Counselor 1: Good job, everyone! But before you all leave for your next activity, let's see holds the record for the highest points for this activity. Hmm. *looks at her book and quill* And it's HJ! For scoring 3,200 points and getting a bull's-eye 32 times! You can now go to your next activity.
Tom: What's next, HJ?
HJ: It's mining stone blocks.
Tom: Okay.
*the gang walks to their third activity*
*the gang and their two cabin roommates start to break stone blocks and put the cobblestone blocks into the furnaces to turn them back into stone blocks and place them back where they found them*
Narrator/EPF: One hour later...
11:00 AM
HJ: Here we are, you guys! Track and field!
*the gang and their two roommates start to run on the track as instructed*
Counselor 2: Okay, keep it up, everyone!
Narrator/EPF: One hour later...
12:00 PM
HJ: According to the schedule, it says lunch should last for about an hour.
*HJ hears his phone vibrating*
Drew: HJ, is that your phone vibrating?
HJ: I think it is. *gets his phone out of his pocket* Huh?
*HJ looks at his phone sees something familiar as it were suspicious and ominous looking*
HJ: Guys! You're not gonna believe this!
