"Oh, my, you are my daughter."
Kristina smiles at her and says, "Yes, I am your daughter, Kristina. Aren't you going to invite me in?"
"Yes, of course, please come in," she said, opening the door wide for her daughter to enter the house.
Kristina enters the house, and then Linda closed the door behind her.
"Kristina is a beautiful name."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Let's go into the living room," she said as they walk toward the living room enters.
They sat down on the couch. Linda could not find the words to talk to her daughter. "I am so happy that you are here, Kristina. I have been dreaming of this moment for a long time."
Kristina smiles at her and says, "um...I need to know why you gave me to my father."
Linda knew she would have to answer that question. "Well, the reason is that I didn't know if my husband would accept you."
Kristina accepted the answer and asked, "Did you ever try to see me?"
"After your birth, all I did was thinks about you, and I went to my mom and borrowed some money from her"
"Borrow money. Why?"
"I borrow money because I need a lawyer to reinstated my parental right, but unfortunately, I was too late. My parental right was terminated."
"Terminated"
"Yes, the lawyer says there were terminated."
"Did the lawyer tell you when there were terminated?"
"No, why."
"Because here in the state of Connecticut, it takes at least 45 days before Parent rights are terminated."
"What?"
"So, that means my father and his lawyer went to court while you are pregnant with me and petition the court to terminated your parental rights right after my birth."
"Are you sure, Kristina?"
"It has to be; there is no other explanation for your parental right to be terminated so quickly."
"Wow, um, how do you know that, though."
Kristina looks at her mother and says, "I am Judge, and I know the law."
Linda was shocked to hear that her daughter was a Judge and ask "A Judge."
"Yes, I follow in the footsteps of my mother, Catherine, who was a Judge. I want to continues her legacy."
Linda smile and says, "I am sure she is happy that you follow in her footsteps."
Kristina smiles sadly, and Linda notices the sad smile. "Kristina, you okay."
"Yeah, I am okay, it just."
"What, honey, you can talk to me."
'I missed her every day."
"Your mother, Catherine, lived in another state."
"No, she kills in a car accident 21 years ago."
"Oh, Kristina, I am so sorry. and your dad."
"He, too, was killing in a car accident."
Linda's heart was breaking for her daughter; she lost her parents 21 years ago. Kristina reaches into her purse and pulls out a white envelope.
"My mother Catherine left this for you," she said, holding out an envelope.
Linda the envelope and place it on the coffee table, and she watched Kristina pulling something out of her purse, and it was another envelope. She opens the envelope and pulls out some pictures.
"I have some pictures of your grandchildren."
Linda smiles brightly and says, "I have more grandchildren."
'Yes, you do," she said, handing her the pictures.
Linda took the pictures and looked at the "oh, my, he is handsome."
Kristina smile and says, "That is your grandson Alexander Carrera Jr."
"And how old is Alexander Jr.?"
"Alex Jr. is eight years old."
Linda smile, place the picture of the table, and look a the next picture of a beautiful little girl, "Aw, she is adorable."
"That is your granddaughter Catherine Alexandria Carrera."
"How old is Catherine?"
"Catherine is four and a half years old; she will be five in December."
Linda smiles again and says, "Catherine, look like you."
"Thank you. She is my mini-me."
Linda chuckles, lightly place the picture on the table next to Alex picture, and look at the next picture and saw two babies, "Twins."
"Yes, I had twins too, Stephen Anthony and Kayla Alexandria Carrera, who are one week old today."
"One week old today."
"Yes, I gave birth last Sunday."
"Wow, you look good after giving birth last Sunday."
Kristina laughs and says, "Thank you."
"You're welcome," she said, placing Stephen and Kayla's picture on the table next to Catherine and Alex's pictures.
She looks at the next picture and saw Kristina and her husband.
"That is your son in law Alexander Carrera Sr."
"Handsome looking guy."
"Yes, he is."
"How long are you married?"
"It will be twelve years in August."
"Linda smile and asks, "What does Alex do?"
"He is a Judge like me; he also follows in the footsteps of his mother."
"Kristina, where do you live?"
"I live in Old Greenwich, six miles away."
Linda was stun to hear that her daughter was living in Old Greenwich Ct not too far away from her"
"Old Greenwich Ct"
"Yes, my Grandma Kayla lived there too along with my aunt Kassie, uncle Carlos and their three kids Cristian, Ramon, and Sara."
"Wow."
"Um, you would like to go and meets your grandchildren and son-in-law."
"Yes, I would love too, just let me go get my purse."
"Okay," she said as Linda stood up, walked away, exited the living room, and then climbed the staircase.
Kristina looks around the living room and saw some pictures on a mantle, and she stood up, walks over to the mantle, and looks at the pictures. She smiled while looking at the pictures.
