Author's notes:

For the 20 or so people who've read this, you may have noticed I've changed some text in previous chapters. I made it where Sev was the one protecting Colonel Bugtra (RIP) instead of Scorch. After finishing some more chapters, I realized the dialogue and personality fit better if I swapped them.

After a long journey back, the gunship finally received authorization to land in Hanger A of The Prosecutor. A Republic assault ship and Delta squad's first home since the beginning of the war. The LAAT needed to go through final checks with the pilot so the rest of the squad moved to a separate empty room to receive their debriefing.

The squad were not looking forward to this, especially Sev. The Colonel had died under his close protection. This meant Sev could potentially to be in a lot of trouble, second only to the squad leader.

The Holoprojector lit up in front of the 4 squad members, showing the CC-01/425, the squad's advisor and superior officer. Even through a full-face helmet, everyone could tell he clearly wasn't happy.

"What's the first rule of an escort mission?" he asked rhetorically.

Scorch looked around before putting his hand up "Is it uh… something to do with not sleepin-"

"Makes sure whoever you're escorting isn't shot in the face!"

Boss began to explain "Sir, whilst we did attempt to warn-"

"The Jedi Counsel are going to be absolutely furious."

"We did everything that we-."

"This was meant to be a simple mission, no complications!"

"We are aware-"

"Did you know Colonel Bugtra was on the front lines at Geonosis?"

"Really?"

The rest of the squad were grateful the attention was on Boss as they struggled to maintain their composure.

"The video feeds were all corrupted, so we'll need reports the old fashioned way ASAP. Now as much as I love these calls, please ensure my next one is not accompanied by more terrible news."

Sev took a step forward to address the Advisor.

"Sir, about the incident..."

"Not now, Oh-Seven. Save it for the report."

Sev took a step back as the Advisor turned back to Boss.

"Sir, I'll personally write up a full report on the incident."

"Good. Carry on." Ordered the officer before signing off.

Boss turned to his second in command.

"Fixer."

"Sir?"

"Write up a full report on the incident."

"Yes, Sir."

"Dismissed everyone."

As Boss started to walk away, he was stopped by Sev who was clearly concerned about the incident.

"Boss, am I in trouble with the Counsel…again? They don't think it's my fault, do they? I mean there's nothing we could have done!"

"Sev, I know. It's awful, but we just have to move on. I just need to make sure there's no bad news so just go and help Fixer with that report.

"Yes Boss."

As Sev walked off in search for Fixer, Boss received a call on the holoprojector from the squad's pilot.

"Boss?"

"Four-Two, I could really do with some good news right now."

"Oh. Umm… well…"

"Sigh. What do you need?"

"Boss, I was doing normal checks and I found something in the LAAT's storage. I don't know what it is, but it's got wings."

"What like a Mynock? I told you, bag it and try not to let it bite you again-"

"No, bigger then a Mynock, much bigger…"

With that, Boss immediately grabbed his DC17m rifle and entered Hanger A. He had heard about the indigenous creatures sneaking on their gunships but they had just come back from Geonosis. There was every chance this was something more dangerous then a Mynock. He approached the Gunship with caution, getting ready to battle a drone, a soldier or possibly even an Elite Warrior.

"Whoever is in there, I am Republic Commando 1138. Come out slowly with your hands up or we will open fire into the LAAT. You have 5 seconds to decide, 4, 3, 2-"

"Okay don't shoot! I'm coming out."

Two light blue outstretched arms emerged from the storage before the Toydorian inside awkwardly tripped and stumbled out to the floor of the hanger. She quickly started hovering to the commando's eye level before turning towards the bewildered Delta 42 and offering her outstretched hand.

"I don't think we were introduced yet. Pleasure to meet you pilot, name's Tabura.
