"Tonight did not go as planned," Roman said.
"No shit," Dean said.
"We'll get them eventually. We're stubborn as fuck and we sure are way better than them at fighting. They can't run forever," Seth said.
"The question is, what do we do now?" Roman asked.
"I say we eat," Dean said.
"What?" Roman asked.
Roman looked over at Dean who just shrugged in return.
"We can't fight when we're hungry, and you know just as well as me that they're not coming back tonight. Tonight is over and done but we got a woman locked up who's already used to cooking and cleaning for a big group of people. Let her fix us a quick meal and we can go over ideas on full bellies," Dean said.
"I actually like that idea," Seth said.
"Fine," Roman said. "Solo, go get Pia and escort her to the kitchen. Don't leave her out of your sight."
Solo nodded and left the room. He walked to the room Pia was locked inside and unlocked and opened the door. She looked up at him with scared eyes and he nodded his head in the direction of the kitchen.
"Out!" He barked.
She hurried out of the room, and he grabbed her arm and walked her to the kitchen. He sat down on a chair and crossed his arms. She looked at him for ten long seconds and he just kept staring at her.
"I get that you want me to cook something but I don't know what. Some directions would be nice," she said.
"I don't care," he said. "Just make it fast. We're hungry."
"Alright, guess I'll go with pasta if you got that," she said.
She started opening cabinets and the fridge to see what they had stored. Pasta and pasta sauce would be it for tonight since he wanted her to work fast.
"Give me the whole afternoon next time and I can create magic for you guys," she said.
He let out a grumbling sound and she sighed.
"I get it. You don't want to babysit me. It's not like I want to be here either," she said. "Why are you even asked to sit here with me? It's not like I can get out of this house unseen. You'll put a bullet in my knee to make sure I'll never try again. I'm not that stupid. If I wanted to be stupid, I would have tried that shit back at Hunter's house."
"I just gotta make sure you don't try anything funny with our food," he said.
"Like what? Poison you?" She asked. "Do you have any poison lying around in the kitchen that I can use? I guess not. Judging by the lack of spices, the hardest thing I can do is go heavy on the pepper, and that will only make you annoyed. Not kill you. You really should buy some more spices. I can make a list for you if you wanna run out and do some shopping tomorrow."
A hint of a smile appeared on his face. He liked that she talked back like that. He was well aware there was nothing in the kitchen that could make her poison them. He had to sit there and watch her because Roman had told him to.
"How's it going out here?" Dean asked.
Pia looked up from the pot and saw Dean walk towards her.
"It's almost ready," Pia said.
"Is Solo bothering you?" Dean asked.
"No, he's telling me all about the travels he took in his youth and all the women he used to date," Pia said.
"Solo talks in full sentences?" Dean asked.
"No," Solo answered.
"I did make him smile," Pia said. "Sort of."
Pia and Dean looked over at Solo, and once again there was a hint of a smile.
"I didn't think he knew how to," Dean chuckled. "So tell me, pretty Pia, how do we actually know you're going to help us? Maybe you were the one who spotted us and warned Giri."
"Why was I left behind then?" Pia asked.
"Everyone knows Giri is a sadist. We've all heard stories and seen her work," Dean said.
"We just haven't seen her," Solo said.
"Correct, Solo," Dean said. "That's where you come in, Pia. You're gonna take us to her and maybe, just maybe, I won't hurt you all that bad. That depends, of course, if you can even make me trust you. How can you prove yourself to me?"
Pia sighed and turned around to look at Dean.
"I have a scar on my ass," Pia said.
"Kinky," Dean smirked.
"Giri took a knife to my ass and cut it. She told me that meant I was now marked as hers forever. Her what? I don't even know. I thought it meant her slave but sometimes she lets her victims go again and other times she kills them. I realized it meant just what she said. I'm hers. I can never get away. I'm marked as hers forever," Pia said.
"Let me see it," Dean said.
"What?" Pia asked.
"Let me see the scar," Dean said.
"Dean," Solo said.
"You shut the fuck up!" Dean snarled at Solo. "Let me see that white ass, Pia."
Dean grabbed Pia and pushed her up against the counter while fumbling with her clothes. She managed to push herself out of his arms and held up her hands.
"Alright, I'll show you," Pia said. "Please, don't touch me."
"I can be a good boy," Dean smirked. "For now."
Pia sighed and turned around. She opened her jeans and pushed them down. She pulled her panties aside on her right buttock and showed an ugly scar.
"I need a closer look," Dean said.
Dean was fast behind her. He pushed her up against the counter again and forced her to bent over it while grabbing her ass.
"Please, stop!" Pia begged.
"Dean, maybe..." Solo tried.
"Zip it, Solo!" Dean snarled. "You're below me so shut the fuck up and watch. I might even let you get in after me."
"What the fuck is going on here?" Roman yelled.
Dean looked up and saw Roman and Seth had entered the kitchen.
"Get the fuck away from her!" Roman ordered.
Dean raised his hands and stepped away from Pia.
"I'm just messing with her," Dean said.
"Dean, for fuck's sake," Seth sighed. "We've talked about this."
"You talked. I listened but I didn't agree," Dean said. "Who the fuck cares if I have a little taste? She's just a slave anyway."
"She's a human being," Roman said.
"Look at her ass though," Dean said. "Does that remind you of something?"
Roman and Seth stepped around the kitchen island and looked at Pia's scar.
"Giri did the same to Becky," Seth sighed. "She was tied up and had a bag over her head but Giri made sure to tell Becky it was her behind it before she cut away. She's fucking sick. It's the reason Becky skipped town. She was so fucking scared. She called Giri the ghost in the darkness because no one ever fucking sees her but we all know she's there."
"Pull your pants up," Roman said.
Pia pulled her pants up and closed the belt. She hoped her eyes were thanking Roman silently. He had just saved her from Dean.
"Dean, go back to the others," Roman said.
Dean sneered and left the kitchen.
"He's angry," Seth said.
"I know," Roman sighed. "We'll deal with him later. We can easily find a girl who's ready to accept more than she'll earn all night if she allows him to hurt her."
"Last girl ended with a broken arm," Seth said.
"And we paid for that," Roman said.
"I saw her back on the streets last week," Solo said.
"See, she's back at work," Roman said.
Roman turned his eyes to Pia and stared at her for a few seconds. She didn't deserve Dean's treatment.
"Alright, Pia, you're eating with us," Roman said. "I'm not letting you out of my sight tonight. Dean is in a mood but I know how to handle him. You just need to stay close to me."
