Peeta and Katniss are backstage, "ready for this?" Peeta asks pointing to where the box is in his pocket, "let's do this" ceaser calls them to the stage, "hello hello! How is my favorite couple doing today?" Ceaser asks, "amazing" Katniss says holding Peeta's hand, he asks questions about the tour and 12. It's time. "Well that's about-" "actually I have one more thing" Peeta interrupts, he gets down on one knee and Katniss gasps, "Katniss I love you more than anything in this world, when we first kissed I knew I was gonna spend the rest of my life with you, I would die over and over again for you, so Katniss Everdeen, will you marry me?" She shakes her head and whispers "yes" he jumps up and hugs her, ceaser joins in the hug.
once they get to their apartment for the night they eat dinner and head to bed because as Effie would say "they have a big big day tomorrow." "You know Peeta that speech was amazing" Katniss says hugging him from behind, "I know" he says and she rolls her eyes.
they head to their bedroom.
"you know they are gonna want a big wedding" Peeta says once Katniss cuddles up next to him, "I know" he thinks for a minute "we could get married when we get back" "snow would hate that" Katniss says "no we get married in secret" she smiles "I love it. I love you" she sits up to kiss him, mature part begins here. He smiles into the kiss, they kiss for a few moments before she pulls away, both of their pupils are huge, "I love you so much Katniss" he kisses her passionately and turns them so he's on top of her, he starts kissing down her throat causing her to moan, "Peeta" he gives her love bites and he's definitely gonna leave a hickey. She gets frustrated after a while so she pulls him back up to kiss him, she practically rips his shirt off. (They haven't been able to do this for a month) he takes her shirt and bra off immediately kissing her chest, there's that hunger she feels whenever they are like this, she raises her thigh to rub against his bulge making him moan, she grabs his pants and unbuttons them, he looks adorable while kicking off his pants, he grabs her pants and she lifts her hips up to help him, now they are just in their underwear staring into each others eyes, breathing ragged. "I love you so much" she says holding his face "and I love you" he leans down and kisses her. Mature part over
in the morning (they have underwear on and Katniss has Peeta's shirt on) Peeta is admiring Katniss and she sleeps, she groans and stirs, "Katniss" Peeta whispers and she smiles "morning" she says kissing him "Peeta Katniss!" Effie's shrill voice says, "well now I'm awake" Katniss says getting up and getting dressed, Peeta just watches her, and he won't admit it but he definitely was checking her out a bit. "Peeta our prep teams will be here soon get up!" She says throwing the shirt she was wearing earlier at him.
the prep team gets them both ready, and they had to cover up a few hickeys in both of them.
Effie pushes them forward and they see the president's mansion. Here we go, Katniss thinks and Peeta grabs her hand his silent sign of support. She takes a deep breath and walks into the crowd.
Peeta and Katniss walk through the crowd.
president snow introduces them.
they eat till they feel like bursting. After the incident with the drink Peeta takes her to dance. "Can you believe them. People are starving in the districts-" he's interrupted by Effie, "look who it is! Plutarch, Heavensbee the new head game maker!" He shakes their hands, "so you took over from Seneca crane" Peeta asks Plutarch nods "that's quite an act to follow" he says making Katniss smile and Effie say "Peeta!" Plutarch just laughs, "yes indeed" "may I cut in?" Plutarch asks pointing to Katniss "of course" Peeta leans over and kisses her cheek "love you" "love you too" he walks away leaving Katniss with Plutarch.
Peeta watches Katniss dance with Plutarch wondering what they are talking about. Finnick odair walks up to him, "Peeta Mellark" he says grabbing a glass of champagne behind Peeta, "hello" Finnick smiles "so you and Katniss" Finnick points towards Katniss and Plutarch, Peeta smiles "yeah" he says. Katniss comes up a stressed look on her face "that was so weird" Katniss said as she walked over to them, she leans into Peeta and he kisses her head rubbing her arm, Finnick smiled at them "well I gotta go feed the monsters" he winks and walks over to the crowd. "What did he want" "nothing he just came over and asked about us then we sat in silence" Katniss wonders what that meant but was too overwhelmed to think about it. "Wanna find a closet?" Peeta asks, during the tour whenever they got overwhelmed they would find a closet or empty room to just sit and talk. She smiles and nods.
they are sitting in a closet facing each other, "so what did Plutarch want?" "Just talking about a clock and how he doesn't think the games are fair" "a game maker wait no the head game maker said that" Katniss laughed at his shocked face. They sit there for about an hour.
the door opens and Haymitch appears "get up it's time to go" they sigh and get up.
they both pass out as soon as their heads hit the pillow.
the next day is spent on the train doing nothing.
they arrive home in 20 minutes both not knowing what awaits them after everything.
