Chapter 34, Kell of Wolves
The engines were fired and the large ship slowly ascended.
The Olympus Mons took flight for the first time and this moment was witnessed by the entire legion.
Their Primus's Ship was finished..
It took to the sky and following the Olympus Mons was several more Red Legion ships.
The Red Legion Fleet was finished and Sivert reported this to Empress Caital as soon as he received word.
Caital responded with very good news.
The Imperial Cabal Fleet was finished as well.
The Empire's fleet was ten times larger than it was before and ten times stronger as well.
All in the span of just five months..
But of course, this was because the Cabal had access to tremendous resources. Allowing them to build away without concern.
Also because Sivert helped where he could to speed up the process.
Either way.
It was time..
Sivert looked through the window of his war room. At the thousands of Cabal marching into the last carriers to take off.
Hundreds of Goliath Tanks flooded the carriers as well, with Imperial Land Tanks joining in.
"Primus."
Sivert turned halfway around to look at Otzot who called him. "Empress Caital has sent word. We are to rendezvous with her fleet by Neptune as soon as the last of the legion is loaded up."
The Hunter looked back out the window.
"Understood. I will have you lead the fleet there. I will meet with you shortly."
Otzot titled her head a little to the right in confusion. "You are not accompanying us?"
"No. There's something I have to do first."
It was personal and Otzot could feel it. She bowed gracefully.
"As you wish."
The Psion Flayer left without saying another word.
Sivert took one long last look at the army of Cabal he helped strengthen..
He helped built..
He knows many would disagree with him, with his actions, but he does not care. This was his choice and he will take full responsibility.
Sivert soon took his personal Jumpship and traveled to Earth..
To the Last City.
There he visited the monument he built years ago once again and took a knee before it.
His eyes were closed and the area was silent.
"Devotion.. Bravery.. Sacrifice.." Sivert whispered repeatedly.
The City may have fallen but those who died defending it will be immortalized in Legend.
Sivert will see to it that they are.
He entered the bridge of the Olympus Mons and was immediately captivated by it.
It was larger than most Cabal Warship bridges but what Sivert found captivating was the white and red Throne in the middle of the Bridge.
It was his..
To think the Red Legion, the Legion he destroyed and brought close to death would treat him as a king..
Their Primus..
Sivert smiled softly and walked towards the throne. He sat down on it and rested both his arms on the arm rests.
The Hunter looked straight and out the bridge windows. His golden eyes shifted to each Red Legion ship that flew next to his..
This fleet was massive..
Combined with Caital's..
The Shadow Legion stood no chance, especially with the Supremacy as the Cabal Empire's Trump Card.
It only took an hour for the fleet to reach Neptune since Sivert met them halfway.
Once they arrived, Sivert prepared to leave for Caital's ship but stopped once he spotted unexpected guests at the meeting point.
There was 8 fallen ketches in Neptune's Orbit and strangely, they weren't surrounded by Cabal warships.
Instead they were stationed with the fleet, part of its formation..
Sivert immediately left for Caital's ship on his personal Harvester to learn who they were.
He arrived quickly and was accompanied by Otzot and two Psion's. The group made their way to Caital's war room.
The doors opened and Sivert entered but stopped in his tracks.
His eyes locked on a familiar Eliksni who was standing next to Caital.
She turned around..
"Hello Pawn.."
Sivert immediately cursed this.
More shit to deal with…
Only one person called him that.
The Ship stealer..
Eramis was alive… and she was here.
Accompanied by two Salvation Captains and one familiar Scribe accompanied by another familiar Scribe.
"Guardian?"
She immediately recognized Sivert much to his amazement and walked up to him.
"Eido.. It's good to see you."
The young Scribe's eyes widened in joy. "Your alive! Thank the Light."
She was still the same old young scribe too.
"Yes. Though.. a lot has happened."
"I'd love to hear all about it."
"Another time young Scribe." Eramis told her, though disappointed. Eido backed up.
Eramis took a few steps closer to Sivert and the two had an intense stare off. One that looked as if it would never end.
"So.. you suddenly decided to change sides?" Sivert asked coldly.
"Oh pawn.. there are no sides.. what I do.. is for the future of the Eliksni and right now. That future is at stake."
The Hunter did not respond, only staring at Eramis who stared back..
Sivert could feel her emotions.
Regret..
Nothing but regret.
Eramis has watched her House suffer because of her actions. She has watched her people suffer because of her actions.
And she was able to see that thanks to a Young Scribe.
Sivert broke off the stare and looked at the other Scribe..
Variks..
How the hell was this old bug still alive?!
Goddamn!
"I to did not believe it but… Eramis has proven to want to save the Eliksni."
Sivert crossed his arms, "How so?"
"She saved us from Calus.. my house was imprisoned and forced to work but she saved us. Jeopardizing the last of her House just to save us and other Eliksni.." Eido assured.
Sivert raised a brow and looked back at Eramis.
"It's as I said.. What I do. Is for my people."
"I've heard that before and do you know of the atrocities you caused?"
Variks tapped his staff onto the ground before Sivert could continue.
"Eramis.. will pay for her crimes but now…. we need her help.."
Sivert scoffed, "So your saying she will surrender once we deal with Calus?"
The two scribes gave nods in confirmation but Sivert wanted to hear it from Eramis who surprisingly agreed.
"I will. But before I do.. I will make sure my people are safe from that false Emperor." She declared in a sharp, ruthless tone.
Once again the two warriors entered into a vicious stare down. Sivert's gaze was strong..
It was enough to make even the mightiest of Cabal look away from him.
But Eramis stood her ground.. no matter how hard his gaze pierced through her..
"You and I are not so different pawn.. you killed for your people as did. Both of us were left by the same 'Machine God' that we followed. Yo-"
"No. The Traveler never left me. It came to me."
Sivert's eyes slightly widened and glowed.
Eramis took a step back. Witnessing everything those eyes show.
Seeing all that Sivert showed her. It… scared her.
Her eyes widened in shock and fear..
He possessed so much power…
"Regrettably at least.." Sivert added on and broke off the stare. He looked down at the dark grey floor of the war room and slowly shook his head.
"The Great Machine left us all… for you?" Eido hesitantly asked..
"Yes. It did. For your sake." Sivert claimed and spread both his arms.
"For Cabal Sake.. for Eliksni Sake.. for Human Sake. All of us. Because the Traveler knew there was no defeating the Witness and had it fallen there on that day. Then we wouldn't be here now. It came to me.. to help me get stronger."
Sivert raised both his arms.
"So that I may defeat the Witness and return to you all.. to ensure you survive and return to the once beautiful and prosperous civilizations you once were."
The words were hard to hear for everyone, but the beautiful and peaceful air Sivert radiated around him as he spoke helped convince them all.
"So many lives.." Eido whispered softly..
Empress Caital stepped forward. "A Hard Sacrifice but one that needed to be made for if it wasn't. Primus Light would not be here, with the Light's Chosen standing alongside us. We will not fail! We will defeat the false Emperor and rescue those who have been imprisoned under his rule!"
The Cabal on her war council raised their weapons into the air and cheered.
"Primus Light! Primus Light!"
Sivert lowered his arms and smiled softly.
"Yes.. with the Guardian on our side. Victory will be ours.."
The old scribe walked forward towards Sivert and stopped just a foot away from him.
"Primus Light you are?"
"Of the Red Legion." Sivert replied proudly.
Oh such a change of events this was..
Variks tapped his staff once. "Then… Kell you shall also be. Kell of an old Noble House."
"Yes! I think with Sivert as a Kell. Then our people will see that there is true hope after all."
Sivert's smile was gone, replaced with a confused expression. How did this become the topic?
"If our people will even accept a Human as a Kell.." Eramis coldly added on.
The chances were low.. even if Sivert was the Light's Chosen.
"But with three kell's fighting to free our people. Then surely they will rally to our side."
"Three kell's?" Sivert asked in confusion.
There was only Eramis.. who was the second?
"Mithrax is alive but captured. After the prison break I pulled.. Calus will surely have him fight for his life in the coliseum."
"Father will be forced to fight nonstop to live.."
The sad tone of Eido's words made Sivert consider it.
If..
If It will help unite the Eliksni.. to give them hope.
Then Sivert will do it.
He fixed a quick look at Caital who only gave a small nod in approval. She would allow her Primus to make the decision.
Sivert looked back at Variks.
"I'll do it.."
Eido's eyes lit up in joy as with Variks in satisfaction.
"Rebuild Red Legion you have. Then.. Wolf Kell you shall be. Your right it is.. you killed Skolas, therefor. Kellship belongs to you. Rebuild the old house, remake it in to your image.." Variks declared..
Wolf Kell…
Huh. Has a nice ring to it.
Sivert gave a determined nod. "I will."
Pleased, Variks declared him Kell of Wolves throughout the system and the alliance between House of Wolves, Salvation and Light..
To give the surviving Eliksni in this system hope..
With the reconstruction of the House, Caital decided to hold off the attack on Calus's capital for now.
To allow Sivert to build up his House a little. That and because it was more wise to attack and destroy Calus's hold on any other planets or moons he might have on.
So they may surround him and crush him once and for all.
Sivert stood in the center of the hangar of Eramis's Ketch. Eramis, Eido, Variks and many Eliksni of House Light and Salvation watched him with curiosity.
The Hunter closed his eyes and held both his arms to the air.
If Sivert wanted to help unite the Eliksni, to rally them. Then he needed to do more than simply revive an old noble House.
And with a helpful suggestion of a young scribe. Sivert knew what would help..
Pure Light begun swirling around both his arms and out to the air.
Someone wanted to help… Sivert could feel the Traveler lending it's Light to assist him..
To make right for its wrongs to the Eliksni..
And so.. together.
The two used their combined Light that burned bright in the air, blinding most or filling them curiosity and fascination.
A strange material begun to form from the Light.. the same material the Traveler was made of.
With careful and precise building, this material was shaped together into the hope the Eliksni needed.
The light soon exploded, enveloping the ship and those in it. Filling them with warmness and ease.
Born from the explosion was a giant servitor.
A Prime Servitor, larger than those ever created by the Eliksni.
It had a white central glowing eye and possessed powerful all white plating with some of the plating protecting its eye colored black.
House of Wolves next Prime servitor.
But this Prime Servitor will not provide for only Sivert's house alone, but all Eliksni as well.
"Welcome Riis.. Prime Servitor."
Naming the Servitor after the Eliksni homeworld, it was complete.
A fully sentient servitor with one duty.
To provide for the Eliksni and to protect them.
It was a beautiful sight for all the Eliksni in this hangar.
Even those who still felt hatred for the Traveler were baffled from this.. creation.
Eramis's eyes lowered, looking at Sivert.
With this servitor, the Wolves were to quickly grow. She hated to admit, but she too was amazed by the servitor.
It wielded the Light…
"It's beautiful Sivert! But.. you do know by Eliksni custom Riis needs a-"
"An Archon Priest? Yes.. I know but Riis will choose his Archon one will not be chosen for him." Sivert replied to the young scribe.
Eido gave a small nod in approval.
"With this… House of Wolves will quickly grow.." Variks whispered.
It made the old Eliksni so very happy. Finally.. after years of pain and destruction..
The Eliksni will be united..
Shortly after the birth of Riis, he quickly got to work. Creating smaller servitors with a similar design to himself. Together with these servitors, ether production quadrupled.
One of the reasons is because Riis required no scrap or any salvaged material like other servitors needed so they may convert it to ether.
Riis can create ether just from his Light alone..
The Traveler's gift to Eliksni..
The ether problem Eramis and her house had was quickly resolved and Sivert made sure that the ether was also distributed to those of House of Light.
Riis did not only create ether though, he also begun repairing damaged areas of the ketch's Eramis had in her fleet.
Also reinforcing them in the process. Riis was capable of sending visions as well to Eliksni, but he's been mostly sending them to splicers and such. Feeding them ideas and how to improve Eliksni tech.
Until Sivert's house has a ketch, Riis was going to reside in Eramis's.
Eramis watched from the sidelines of how this one servitor, provided for her House and the House of Light..
Her Eliksni were no longer depressed or exhausted, but happy and energetic.
She was alone when she witnessed it all thanks to the video feed she had access to, in her quarter's.. and because of that..
The old Kell allowed herself to shed a tear of ether full of relief and happiness.
Six ketch's moved through the emptiness of space. Dawned in a dark purple color with gold linings around the ketch's.
A small fleet belonging to House of Chalice..
Eliksni loyal to Calus…
The Captain of this fleet, a Baron of the House was ordered to investigate a distress signal sent from one of the Shadow Legion mining facilities in Sol.
This was Captain Peruniks, once a Captain of Salvation and before that a Vandal in House of Wolves.
He was a young Captain but his skill in combat is what made him a Baron in the House of Chalice.
Personally promoted by Calus for impressing the Emperor with his calm and open mind.
Peruniks sat silently on his small throne, looking out through the bridge window of the ketch.
The bridge room was silent and.. depressing as usual but everyone's gotten so used to it that they just don't care anymore.
Peruniks wasn't sent alone to investigate this distress signal though. Accompanying him was an awoken warlock, she wore jet black armor and robes and possessed shoulder length black hair and fierce orange eyes.
One of the many once Guardians of the last city to join Calus.
She stood in silence by one of the monitors in the bridge, watching and staring at it in a cold and creepy manner..
She was quite strange, even in the eyes of her fellow Lightbearer's.
But Peruniks didn't care what she did as long as she didn't get in his way.
This mission itself was quite crappy, but it was better then having to go assist the guardians with dealing with the vex..
If what the rumors say are true, they've already lost multiple bases and fleets. Before long the Emperor will take notice and will not be happy.
Soon, the six ketch's found their way to a origin of the distress signal.
Europa.
The silence in the bridge was gone, replaced with confused and silent chattering of the many Eliksni.
For what they saw confused them..
Wreckages and debris from destroyed Shadow Legion warships..
A once large fleet, now reduced to a graveyard.
Peruniks stood up from his throne, for he too was shocked from this.
There should be no one to oppose the Shadow Legion..
No one at all.
So what happened to this fleet?
He shook his head in dissatisfaction for this was going to be one hell of a report to make to his Emperor.
How was he even going to explain this?
Best to do some investigating first.
"Baron! Ship's incoming." One of the Vandal's operating the terminals of the bridge said in Eliksni tongue.
Shortly after, the ketch was being shot at.
Peruniks looked at the attacker's. Cabal ships.. but they were all red.
And there was a lot of them!
"Red Legion? But… they are destroyed!" Peruniks yelled in confusion.
His fleet was completely outnumbered and surrounded!
"Retreat and prepare to send a transmission to the Empir-"
Peruniks was unable to finish, the violent shaking of his ketch made him focus on keeping his balance instead of giving order's.
Many Eliksni collapsed from the violent shaking.
"Engines have been disabled!"
"Our weapon systems are destroyed.."
"We cannot call for help. Our communications are being jammed!"
Several reports were lobbed his way in order, Peruniks couldn't believe his very eyes or ears.
Suddenly the Red Legion fleet stopped firing, as if their only goal was to disable the ketch's.
The six ketch's were now dead in space, defenseless.
Peruniks watched a cabal carrier fire out several drop pods towards his ketch.
"Were being boarded!"
"Shut up fool I know that!" he shouted at the dreg that reported it.
Peruniks grabbed his Shrapnel Rifle that laid on the armrest of his throne. He fixed a sharp glare to the warlock in the bridge.
She silently turned around and walked out of the bridge..
Peruniks wanted to strangle her so bad for acting superior to him but knew if he did then his forces would lose a powerful ally.
"Direct all forces to the hangar!" Peruniks ordered before rushing out of the bridge with a few Vandals at his side.
The outside of the ship was in ruins but the interior was also going to shit. Fire engulfed most of the hallways and fire systems were failing.
Door's kept opening and closing and injured laid everywhere.
It only took a few minutes for Peruniks to reach the hangar, it would've taken him only a few seconds if the teleporter wasn't offline.
Peruniks rushed inside the hangar with a small army of Eliksni behind him. Ready to fight alongside their Baron.
When they entered they found the warlock in the middle of the hangar, engaging in physical combat with a…
Human!?
He was adorned in bulky white armor with red and gold detailing along with a white cape.
The human was effortlessly fighting the warlock, and Peruniks could easily tell by his lack of interest in the fight.
He swiped his right arm and the warlock was sent crashing against the hangar walls but was suddenly pulled back by the human without him even actually pulling her.
She was forcefully pulled to him by some sort ability.
He grabbed her by her neck.
"Traitor.."
The human said with malice before tossing her back where she landed roughly in front of two large Cabal Psion's.
They were quick to restrain her and apply a Light suppressing device to her ghost that tried to heal her.
The hundreds of Eliksni in the ketch aimed their weapons at human but he simply lifted two finger's in response.
Suddenly every single weapon they wielded was crushed, even Peruniks's mighty shrapnel launcher was crushed..
Completely shocking him and the Eliksni on the ketch with his display of power.
"I am Sivert Light! Primus of the Red Legion and Kell of House of Wolves." the human spoke in his own tongue but..
Strangely the Eliksni in the ketch were able to understand him..
Peruniks stepped forward and out to the middle of the hangar.
"I have an offer for you all." Sivert declared.
Peruniks was cautious of Sivert but he still.. carefully observed him. For he knew that there was no point in fighting this….
God..
There would be no glory or honor and he would not even be remembered for attempting to fight him.
"And what is your offer… Kell of Wolves?" Peruniks asked in response to Sivert's words.
The Baron stood over the human by a few feet and looked down at him. Small human but powerful.
"Life and unification of the Eliksni. Together, with House of Light and House of Salvation. We will bring an end Calus's reign."
Sivert lifted his right hand up into the air.
Peruniks and his Eliksni looked up at where his hand pointed at.
A white light suddenly appeared and grew bigger before forming into a…
Magnificent and… beautiful Prime servitor.
Peruniks took several steps back from Sivert so he could get a better look at this marvelous servitor.
The servitor suddenly unleashed a wave of Light that engulfed the entire ketch.
The severely injured were suddenly healed and given large amounts of ether.
Peruniks watched this all go on, his injured crew member's standing up like nothing ever happened to them.
"Our Light burns bright."
Sivert said and held out his right hand to Peruniks.
The Baron focused his eyes on the hand.
A once and lifetime offer.. was before him.
A chance to actually do something for his people.
That was something, he and many Eliksni wanted but were too afraid to do so for they knew the consequences of failure.
Peruniks stepped forward without hesitation and reached out his top right claw, grabbing Sivert's hand with it.
The baron was confident they will not fail.
Taking the offer, shortly after the Baron got down on both knees, lowering his head.
"I offer my life to you.. my Kell.."
The first to submit and shortly after he was joined by his crew. The many Eliksni performed the same actions as Peruniks and submitted without hesitation.
"We offer our lives to you.. Our Kell." They declared in unison.
Sivert smiled in satisfaction. That went as planned!
"Worry not. You will all be treated equally and with respect."
"Traitor's! Your all filthy traitor's!" the captured warlock begun shouting.
Sivert sighed drew his Ace, aiming it at the warlock and shooting her in the head.
Her lifeless body dropped to the floor and Sivert took back the Light that she possessed along with her ghost.
Such a cruel woman..
She was unworthy.
Sivert holstered his Ace and looked back at the Eliksni who witnessed the execution.
"Forgive me for her rudeness. No one will insult my followers." Sivert told them while bowing.
A Kell.. bowing for them all..
With this alone, they all knew they made the right choice.
Soon after the five other ketch's full of Eliksni also joined and Sivert secured the first members of his House.
And six new ships as well! Of course they required redecorating but fortunately Riis quickly got to work on that.
He removed all Pyramid Tech within the ketch's and sent them to Sivert who transported them to the Supremacy in secret.
After. Riis begun repairing the ketch's and changing the color scheme to them.
They were colored all white and the line around their main engines were painted black, possessing the House of Wolves symbol on them.
Sivert may have decided to become Kell of Wolves, but he was rebuilding it in his image.
The Wolf banner was the same, only the background was white and the symbol and black.
Representing the Light and Dark.
With Ketch's secured.
Riis begun creating more servitors to help Sivert provide for the Eliksni in his House, as he did this.
Sivert revealed one of the main rules of his House.
"There will be no docking and there will be no more Dregs."
It was cruel and not allowed. There will only be Vandals and Captains, Barons, and Archon Priest's.
Peruniks was quickly promoted to Baron while many others were promoted to Vandals to Captains.
"I thank you once again Sivert Kell.. we are all in your debt."
"No. You are not. None of you are.. the only thing I ask in return from you is your loyalty and assistance to help save other Eliksni from Calus's reign."
It was something Sivert would make sure is done before he returned to the Cardinal World.
Peruniks obeyed and not only that, but he provided all the intel he had on Calus and his forces.
Providing locations for more mining facilities or fleet bases and fleets. Coordinates that Sivert made sure to send to Caital who was once again, impressed by his work.
With this information, trapping Calus was going to be easier but destroying the facilities and bases was Caital's job.
And Misora's.
Sivert's of course lent help, sending ships to destroy other bases but he was more focused on the Eliksni at the moment.
It was safe to say though that.. his Legion was jealous and there was some problems..
But once those under Sivert's House proved their worth, they warmed up to them a little.
Shortly after Peruniks and his fleet joined, many more Eliksni begun joining from Sol and Calus's Empire. As the Baron was sending out secret transmissions to those who wanted to flee Calus.
Many answered, bringing their ships as offerings so they may join.
They were accepted without hesitation.
Many great Eliksni warriors who sought to fight for the freedom of their race also joined and filled the ranks.
Sivert's House grew very quickly within a span of a month and as much as he loved to see it grow..
It unfortunately added more work to his desk. Not only was he the Primus to a large Legion of the Cabal Empire, but also a Kell to many Eliksni.
He had to keep a lot in check.
Cam laid lazily on his chair, with his feet propped up on his desk and arms crossed. He stared at the warlock Cody who stood in the center of the large war room of his Command Carrier.
Surrounded by several Guardians and Cabal commanders.
This meeting like the others before it were extremely boring…
And Cody is still a bastard.
Still.. Cam has to admit he's impressed with what the little warlock has amassed here.
A large fleet, the largest currently deployed in the Shadow Legion aside from the fleet defending the capital. It was designated the Warbeast Fleet by high command.
Consisting of 72 Cabal Warships, 64 Carriers, 7 command carriers, and 34 Eliksni Ketches.
This large fleet was stationed at fleetbase Oros as it filled up on fuel and ammunition.
Commanding such a large force and ensuring it stuck together is probably taking a mental toll on Cody.
Especially with him having to talk most of the time in all these meetings that discussed battle plans and possibilities on why the vex are attacking.
Though Cam still thinks someone pissed them off!
"With our current intelligence. I believe the Vex will hit fleetbase Maximus, and then Lanner, then here.. Oros. We will meet them head on at Maximus and crush this attacking force."
Cody turned to look at Cam, pointing at the titan. "Former Fleetbase Commander Cam believes the Vex have created a new mind to lead their forces. If true then our main priority is eliminating this mind."
"What if we can't find it?"
"Then the Vex threat will remain, unless that mind is destroyed. Our problems will not end. We've already lost to much to them, we lose anymore and the Emperor will not be so forgiving then he already is."
But they should not lose. With such a large force, they were unstoppable! Usually such a large fleet wouldn't be amassed unless they were to conqueror a world, but Cody has received permission from the Emperor to amass this fleet to deal with the Vex.
"Any more questions?"
"Admiral!"
All eyes turned to the young human bridge officer that entered the war room. "This interruption better be important."
"Fleetbase Maximus and Lanner have been destroyed!"
"What?"
Cody's reaction was priceless to Cam but the titan was just as shocked as he was. Actually, everyone in the room was just as shocked.
"Are there any survivors?"
"One ship has made it out, led by Captain Kily. She has lost her ghost though.."
"Has she sent any reports?"
The young officer looked down at the tablet in his hands, shaking slightly in fear.
"They are coming for us…."
"I asked for a report!"
"That's all she sent Admiral!" The officer turned the tablet over to the warlock. Cody angrily approached the officer and snatched the tablet out of his hand.
"Well… guess were all fucked.."
A hunter said as he stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"Getting the hell out of here."
"Desertion is treason!"
A titan threatened, aiming his rifle at the hunter.
"Piss off you cunt!"
"Fuck you!"
The war room erupted into chaos.
"You goddamn pussy!"
"Hell you say?!"
"Shut up!" Cody swiftly silenced them all. He shoved the tablet back into the young officers hand.
"If you attempt to leave I will kill you!"
"Dare you to try it."
Those who wanted to leave had no problem fighting their way out, and by the looks of it. Cody didn't have many supporters..
He couldn't take on so many guardians by himself..
*BOOOM!*
"Shit!"
"What the hell?!"
The ship was struck violently, causing a few Lightbearer's to fall over. The ships alarms started blaring.
"We're under attack."
"You hear that? You can't leave now! The only way out is if we fight!" Cody told those who wanted to leave.
They had no response, only cursing this shitty timing.
"Fine!"
"Good. Now everyone! Battle stations!"
Cam stood up from his seat and sighed in annoyance, he turned to look at the huntress Riis who already started walking out.
He rushed to catch up with her, "Cam, get in your jumpship. I want you leading a squadron."
"Yeah, yeah."
The titan increased his speed and jogged past Riis to rush to his jumpship in the hangar.
As soon as he arrived he was met with absolute hell.
"What the fuck?"
The hangar was already under attack by Vex?
Goblins and Minotaur's appeared inside, slaughtering the mechanics without opposition.
"Shit!"
Cam ignored them and ran towards his jumpship. He didn't plan on staying here. The titan was leaving..
He doesn't know where he'll go…
Maybe back to Sol? Live his days off on his own farm on earth?
Wherever! As long as it's far away from the Vex!
The titan was transmatted into his jumpship by his ghost who has already activated the jumpship.
Allowing for a quick take off!
"Fuck me…"
It was even worse out here!
It's like the Vex became more aggressive. They were assaulting each ship and overwhelming the crews with their unending numbers.
"Shit!"
Cam shifted his stick right, evading a group of harpies that he almost rammed into.
The titan looked down at Fleetbase Oros.
It wasn't doing any better…
"Cam, to your right. Look."
The titan did just that, his eyes widening in disbelief.
The Fallen Ketch's that were apart of the fleet were turning around.
They were retreating! All of them!
"Fucking cockroaches!"
Cam wasn't mad they were leaving, he was mad they were leaving without him!
"Look at that…"
If Cam had looked away he wouldn't have noticed it, but he spotted another Ketch that appeared near the other ketch's. An all-white ketch bearing a symbol on it's hull that Cam couldn't make out.
Not this far out..
"Cam! I'm picking up a large energy signature! It's increasing in mass." His ghost warned!
"What?! Where!"
"In the center of our fleet! It's getting bigger-" his ghost didn't finish.
A bright light formed, causing Cam to look back at it.
It grew bigger.. and bigger.
It didn't take long for the Titan to realize what was about to happen. That amount of energy?
Oh yeah…
One big ass explosion!
"What….."
Where was it coming from?!
Soon enough, his fears came true. The light formed into one large explosion, creating an extremely destructive shockwave that tore through fleet.
Nothing survived!
Cam went full speed with his attention turned on the nearest ketch.
They were already departing but few remained. But by his ghost's calculations. They will make it!
It's only a matter if Cam will make it!
"Come on…. Come on….."
He could feel the shockwave getting closer..
His heart raced.. he's never been so scared before..
Each ketch that departed filled him with more fear..
Will he make it out?!
"Come on! AHHH!"
The titan's screams were silenced as his ship was destroyed by the shockwave, just as the last ketch departed.
The once mighty fleet that gathered here was now a graveyard..
"Oh… ugh…."
He was met with a sudden, killing headache! It felt like his head was about to explode!
"Cam, wake up."
The voice of the Huntress Riis filled his ears and the titan's eyes slowly opened. Eventually his strength returned and he fully sat up.
"What? What happened?"
"You survived. Just barley, like us.." she pointed at the surrounding area, a few Lightbearer's remained.
As Cam looked around more, he could see that he was on the surface of the moon that firebase Oros was built on.
And it was a complete graveyard.
Wrecked warships and carriers laid everywhere, with bodies littered all over the place.
"How long was I out?"
"Not sure.. just found you and your ghost right now.."
"Fuck…."
Cam's headache was horrible! Combined with this situation…
Oh how unlucky he is.
"So.. you got a plan Captain? On how the hell we're getting out of here.."
"We're not leaving…. I don't even think we'll be alive longer…"
"Huh? Why?"
Riis slowly lifted her right hand and pointed behind Cam. The titan turned around, where his eyes immediately fell on a cold.. yet beautiful looking woman levitating in the air.
The warlock Cody stood before this woman who didn't seem to like Cody's presence.
"Disciple of the Witness! We are not you're enemies!" he shouted..
"Fuck is he on about?"
"That woman was the one responsible for that explosion. She alone destroyed the fleet. Right now.. she's executing survivors, and Cody is trying to plead with her."
"Is it working?"
"No…."
Cam chuckled lightly and laid down. "Fuck me….."
"You are mistaken to assume I am a follower of your Witness." The woman responded with a cold tone.
"You're… not?"
"No. I despise this Witness and all it's followers. I serve my great master, my god. Who has destroyed your Witness and It's followers. Your false Emperor is all that remains. You are finished."
Those words had shocked the remaining survivors who heard them. Hearing that the Witness had been killed… was hard to believe.
"Well.. you've won! There's no need to kill us! We won't fight anymore."
"I'm afraid not. You've betrayed you're people. My Lord, who controls the Light and Dark has commanded me to slay you cowards. You false.. Guardians who've sided with an even bigger coward."
"What….?"
Cody couldn't believe her words..
"But.. we're defenseless!"
"I don't care, I will make you're deaths quick though."
"Wai-!"
Cody was silenced, the warlock's head was crushed in an instant by the woman's right hand, his ghost that tried to escape was grabbed and crushed without hesitation.
She turned her eyes onto the others..
No one even bothered fighting..
And they only accepted their fate…
One by one they each fell until the woman came upon Cam.
Looking down at the titan..
"Ugh.. get it over with…"
The titan held out his ghost who fell immediately to the Woman's crushing hands.
Eventually Cam was impaled by her glaive, and his life left his eyes..
The largest fleet the Shadow Legion has amassed was destroyed. Their numbers are still large but with such a defeat…
And without knowing how..
They will be put on high alert.
She sat up against the back wall of her large cell. A cell that smelled horrible with food that smelt even worse given to her.
The large Captain growled and fixed a glance at the wall next to her. She reached out her top right arm and carved another line onto it with one of her sharp claws.
Line 428..
Meaning she was on this cursed prison ship for 428 days!
She looked out through the orange ray shield of her cell and at the many awoken soldiers who commanded this ship.
Traitors to their kin..
"!?"
The ship begun shaking violently and the alarms were blaring. Several awoken collapsed or fell off from their posts.
The violent shaking of the ship injured many.
The Captain watched the awoken soldiers panic and run around confused.
They were poorly trained as were many of Calus's Empire, except his cabal.
She waited for the cell to malfunction so she could go out there and kill them all!
A large explosion occurred in her cell block and she watched many Eliksni charge in, all of them adorned in white and black armor and cloaks..
Their armor looked well made as with their weapons.
Shiny white and black Shrapnel Launcher's or Wire Rifles.
They had what looked to be the House of Wolves Symbol on their cloaks.
The awoken soldiers were quick to surrender and to the Captain's surprise, the Eliksni accepted their surrender.
"Syrsieks!"
The Captain heard a familiar voice call her name.
"Peruniks! Brother! Here!" she called out to her younger brother who was quick to spot her cell.
He was accompanied with two splicer vandals and the three made their way up to her cell.
"Brother! You're here.."
"Yes sister!"
Quickly, the cell's ray shields were disabled and the splicers moved on to free other trapped Eliksni.
Syrsieks slowly stepped out from the cell, revealing her large size.
She was at least 13 ft tall. Way taller than most Captains and the size of a Kell or an Archon.
She was way older then her brother and had more experience. Once a Baron in House of Wolves then just a Captain of her own crew while her brother joined House Salvation.
They reunited shortly after the fall of the Last City but separated when Peruniks left her so he could pledge allegiance to Calus. While she was shortly captured after.
For years she's been forced to fight for her life and has been moving from prisoner transport to prisoner transport..
Her brother who was 9 ft looked up at his older sister. Despite being imprisoned for so long, she was still mighty as ever!
Peruniks moved into hug his older sister but was suddenly struck violently by her two right arms.
He was sent crashing into the wall across the cell block.
"That's for leaving me!" she yelled.
Peruniks made no response, still suffering from the force of her strike.
Yup..
She was still as strong too.
"Forgive me.. sister. But I knew they wouldn't kill you." Peruniks painfully responded and slowly recovered.
Syrsieks scoffed at that excuse.
"You left to save yourself. Coward!"
Peruniks did not reply as those words were very true.
Syrsieks leaped over the railing and landed in front of her brother.
"Now, what is going on?" she demanded.
"I've come to rescue you and other's. I've rejoined our House as it was rebuilt by a great Kell who seeks to destroy Calus and free all Eliksni from his rule. To unite us once again."
Syrsieks rolled her eyes, "Where have I heard that before…"
So many Kell's have said the same thing and all have fallen.
"Sister please. I ask that you at least meet him." Peruniks begged, ignoring any shame he'd bring himself.
"Yes, Yes I will meet him.. just get me and my crew out of here."
Peruniks was filled with joy and nodded in response.
"Yes sister. Come!"
Peruniks quickly escorted her and her crew along with the awoken prisoners off the ship and onto his ketch.
Leaving the ship to fall.
The large Captain walked down the fancy hallway.
This ketch..
It was very nice.. to… refined.
Syrsieks was used to seeing ketch's being kept together with scrap the crews could find but this..
This ketch looks brand new. Something Syrsieks had a hard time believing. Another odd thing the Captain noticed is that there wasn't a single dreg in sight.
Only vandals and Captain's..
She was led to the Ketch's bridge which fascinated her even more by its cleanliness and advanced Eliksni tech.
Her exploring eyes eventually found themselves focused on the one sitting on the throne of the ketch..
A….
Human..
Syrsieks couldn't believe her very eyes.
"My Kell. I have returned with the rescued prisoners." Peruniks stated as he bowed before the human..
Syrsieks again couldn't believe her eyes..
Has her younger brother gone mad!?
No.. he must be brainwashed by this human.
Syrsieks locked eyes with the human and the two entered an intense stare down.
His golden eyes were beautiful and sharp.
The eyes of a warrior…
Syrsieks took a step back.
No..
Her brother was not brainwashed. He truly was loyal to this human.
"I am Sivert Light. You are Syrsieks?" He spoke in human tongue yet.. Syrsieks could understand him.
"I am."
Sivert smiled, "I'm glad your brother found you. I looked forward to meeting you."
He stood up from his throne and walked towards the Captain, looking up at her in the process.
"You wish for me to join your House?" Syrsieks quickly asked.
"Yes but it's up to you. My house is working alongside House of Light and Salvation along with the Cabal to help defeat Calus. Powerful Eliksni like you will help but as I said. You do not have to. You may leave and you will be given a ship and a reasonable amount of supplies."
A tempting offer as Syrsieks wasn't interested in fighting a war but surviving instead..
Still, she could see before her an opportunity..
A bright light from above interrupted her thoughts, Syrsieks and her crew looked up at the bridge ceiling and watched as a large all white servitor appeared.
It.. was beautiful..
"Riis?" Sivert didn't call him here, so the servitor came on his volition.
The servitor looked down at Syrsieks.
"You wish for me to join as well?" the Captain suddenly asked to which the servitor responded.
Though no one else but Sivert could understand.
Riis was a strange servitor, he didn't talk to people other than Sivert. He communicated with Eliksni by sending them visions.
But if he was communicating with Syrsieks then it was obvious what he wanted.
For her to be his Archon.
Now Syrsieks saw a greater opportunity, to be given such a rank in a House.
She looked back down at Sivert. "I will join."
Sivert clasped his hands together, "Great!"
Now the chain of command was complete in his house..
Kind of.. he still needs a couple of Barons but with Syrsieks as the Archon, that's going to be her job.
"Let's get you set up."
With such a powerful Eliksni warrior at his side, more were bound to flee to his ranks. Calus's Empire grew weaker every day!
The room was dark, with little light in it.
Standing around a large round table were 6 figure's with many more watching from the shadows.
"Listen up.."
A man spoke up. A Titan and a mighty one at that.
He placed 5 data pads on the table and slid them to the 5 other Lightbearer's.
"Recently we've lost contact with several bases and mining facilities just outside Sol. Not only that, we lost contact with the fleets in Sol. We've also haven't received any resources either.." he explained.
The 5 Lightbearer's took the data pads slid towards their direction and carefully read the details on them.
"More importantly though. We've lost contact with Admiral Cody and his Warbeast fleet.. they were dealing with Vex attacks. I find it hard for such a large fleet to be destroyed by Vex but the possibility is still there." He said.
"We've also had reports of several Eliksni Ketch's and skiffs departing from their bases and disappearing, going off our grid. Something's going on. The Emperor isn't worried but it's our job to make sure nothing bothers him. That false Empress is still out there to.."
One of the other Lightbearer's put her data pad onto the black table.
"But our intel says Caital doesn't have the resources to take us on. Intelligence reports also suggest her fleet is in a poor state.."
She lifted her hand and caressed her chin. "Then again. That was years ago.. she could've built her fleet up. But that doesn't explain the missing Eliksni ships or the lack of communication with the warbeast fleet.."
"Indeed, your mind is sharp as always Kryze. That's why I'm sending you to investigate. You'll take your fireteams and check out these three coordinates." The Titan tossed another data pad towards the now named Kryze.
She caught it and read the details.
"A Prisoner transport.. a Mining facility… and firebase Oros…" Kryze whispered.
The first two sent out distress signals, for as for Oros. They haven't heard anything from them or the warbeast fleet that was stationed there.
"Go and report what you find. Or if you find the cause for those locations to not be responding. Then destroy it."
Kryze looked back at the Titan, "Understood."
She turned around and left the room without another word. Those in the shadows followed her..
The Titan turned to the warlock on his right.
"Now, what's this about the scanners reading a massive object near Sol?"
Sivert stood in silence, looking out the bridge of his Cabal ship the Olympus Mons. He had both his hands behind his back and was listening to Otzot's report.
"Baron Peruniks reports that another ketch has joined your House. Therefore, House of Wolves fleet has forty three ketch's."
A large fleet..
"But Peruniks believes more will flee from Calus and that we should wait a little longer."
"The Empress is almost finished with her quick campaign against Calus's forces in the outer regions. Tell Peruniks he will have to hurry up because once she's done. We're moving in on Calus before he can react and flee."
Otzot lowered her head. "Yes, Primus."
The Psion Flayer turned around and quickly left the bridge.
Sivert opened his eyes and looked out at the stars..
They looked back..
His brows furrowed in dissatisfaction at what they revealed to him.
He turned slightly around to the right and looked down at the Psion's working at their stations.
"Have the fleet proceed to these coordinates." Sivert ordered before typing the coordinates in on the terminal next to him.
The Psion's gave small nods and got to work.
Sivert looked back out through the bridge window.
The Olympus Mons begun moving, accompanied by four other warships and three carriers.
This fleet soon jumped into warp speed.
Three shadow legion warships jumped out of warp speed, arriving at the first set of coordinates.
The prisoner transport distress signal.
Six jumpships flew out from the lead warship in the middle and towards the origin of the distress signal.
They moved at a slow pace and shined the spotlights of their ships towards the ship.
Immediately revealing the once large prisoner transport. Now a wreckage, drifting in space.
Kryze focused her eyes on the most severe damaged areas of the wreckage.
"This ship was torn apart.."
This prisoner transport was awoken made and was upgraded a little with Pyramid Tech but it was very resilient.
To think it could end up in a state like this..
"There's no bodies.. or any sign of the crew or prisoners Captain." Her second in command Rook stated over the comms.
"Whatever happened here. It happened fast.." she added on.
This prisoner transport may have been resilient, but it didn't stand a chance against what attacked it.
Kryze cursed this situation, there were no leads or anything to allow them to know what happened!
The ship was in ruins as well! So trying to get any surviving data from its camera's was useless too!
"Return to the warship and let's go over what we have.." Kryze ordered and turned around.
The five other ships followed in pursuit.
Shortly after they found themselves in the bridge of the warship. Operated by Humans and Awoken's.
To keep infighting among his ranks low, Calus usually has humans under the command of humans as the same with Awoken and Eliksni. To prevent them from tearing each other apart or going at it with his Cabal.
Infighting still happens but not as much as when Calus organized this type of chain of command.
"There isn't much to go over Captain.. it's like whoever attacked this ship didn't want us to trace them." Rook spoke first, with the other's nodding in agreement.
"There has to be something…" Kryze mumbled.
No one could be this.. perfect.
"Perhaps we will have more luck on the next sort of coordinates." Rook said, hoping to keep Kryze's spirit's up.
"Perhaps… make a jump for those second coordinates." She gave the order.
Within seconds the ship started moving to the right, away from facing the wreckage.
It stopped and the engines begun firing up at max power.
Kryze stared silently out at the stars, to ponder about what they found.
{BEEP!}
Many monitors of the bridge begun blinking red and beeping.
"We have multiple ships incoming!"
"Break!" Kryze quickly commanded, her crew reacted in time and the warship did not jump to warp speed.
But her other two ships were not so lucky, they jumped just as a massive warship emerged.
Crashing into the ship and destroying themselves.
But for the giant warship?
It was unscathed!
"Shit!"
"AGH!"
Kryze's warship was struck violently by the wreckages of her other two ships. Many of the crew were sent flying out from their station's due to the force of the violent shaking of her ship.
It was a shit show!
"Get us the hell out of here!" she ordered but the bridge crew could not fulfill it.
Half the crew was injured or unconscious.
"What is that thing…"
One of Kryze's subordinates whispered while looking out through the bridge windows.
A massive red cabal warship..
Several other red cabal warships arrived behind it.
"The Red Legion!?"
"But their dead!"
There was no way in hell they could even build a large warship with their lack of resources!
The massive warship opened fired on Kryze's ship, easily disabling it.
"Several cabal drop pods incoming!"
"Were being boarded!"
Panicked reports were lobbed her way.
"We are dead in space! Engines have gone out!"
"Send out a distress signal damnit!" Kryze shouted in response.
"Our communications are being jammed!"
Of course…
"Goddamnit!" Kryze turned around and stormed out the bridge, accompanied by her subordinates.
They marched quickly down one of the many hallways of the ship, making their way towards the closest boarding party.
"Captain. We should abandon ship! We-"
"Like hell we are! We're fighting till the last man standing. If the Red Legion wants war! Then give them wa-"
An explosion in their hallway interrupted Kryze. Red Legion Psion's made their way inside with speed at their back.
They immediately fired at the group.
"Ugh!"
Kryze was struck, not by a bullet though..
Her eyes widened and she dropped to her knees, feeling her light be suppressed.
Her subordinates shared the same fate.
With their worried ghost's joining in.
"Your…. Kidding me.." Kryze whispered, reaching out to grab her ghost that laid defenseless on the floor, she brought it close to her so she may protect it.
She looked up and straight down the hallway where a larger Psion appeared.
A Flayer…?
Your shitting…
It moved fast, striking Kryze in the face with a deadly kick that knocked her nearly out.
Her vision was.. fady but she could see her subordinates being dragged away from her.
The Psion Flayer that knocked her out grabbed her by her right leg and begun dragging her as well.
Kryze tried her hardest to reach for her Handcannon but she didn't have the strength.
Plus.. her arms might be broken..
Her vision still fady, Kryze watched as she and her subordinates along with many of her crew were being loaded onto Red Legion Harvester's.
Her vision went black before shortly returning.
They were being dragged and carried off the Harvester's and only to the cold floor of a Cabal hangar.
It was large and full of Red Legion ships and troops who all watched Kryze and her crew get dragged.
Eventually they stopped and Kryze felt the Psion's grip on her leg release. It walked away with the other's.
Here is where Kryze felt some strength return to her and her vision slowly return to normal.
She sat up on both her legs and begun looking around.
Her crew was with her, gathered together. But Red Legion Legionaries and Psion's surrounded them.
Kryze continued looking around at the marching legionaries led by centurions, or the harvester's entering the hangar.
Bringing more survivors from her ship..
She shook her head and looked around for her ghost.
It wasn't.. with her!
Her most trusted companion, her best friend!
Kryze panicked and looked around more but couldn't see her ghost or anybody else's ghost.
Her eyes were quickly drawn to the main door's where the Psion's left to. It opened and two large Psion's exited, following a…
Human..?
They walked on both his rear's, carrying slug launchers, or a rifle variant of it.
These Psion's were treating him with respect and care, prioritizing his safety..
The human wore all white armor which looked to be cabal made.
Kryze's eyes moved up so she could get a… good look at his beautiful face.
His beautiful golden eyes seemed to hold knowledge beyond her understanding. His long black hair which was tied in a slim low pony tail.
This guy was… something.
He stopped in front of the gathered crew, they all looked at him with curiosity and shock.
"I am Sivert Light. The Young Wolf as many of you would know me."
The name immediately brought up silent chattering between the crew.
Kryze's world froze at those words.
Young… Wolf?
"But now I am Primus Light of the Red Legion and Kell of House of Wolves. You are here because I wanted you alive. To give you a choice."
"I challenge you to a rite of proving!"
Kryze's head turned to the right, to the one who shouted.
Her fellow hunter Reeves…
A skilled hunter but reckless as well.
A rite of proving..
Kryze looked back at Sivert who rolled his eyes, annoyed by this. It looked like it wasn't the first time he had to deal with this..
But if Reeves win's.. she'll be able to get the crew safely away from this ship.
If…. She wins.
Sivert snapped his finger's. The two psions behind him backed away several feet along with the surrounding Legionaries.
The cuffs on Reeve's wrist were released at the same time as well..
She stood up and drew her two of her hunter knives from her waist belt, the hunter waited no longer and lunged at Sivert who stood idly..
Reeves ruthlessly attacked him but he begun evading her attack's effortlessly. Sivert eventually grabbed her right arm with his and turned around to the left, striking Reeves in the face with his left elbow.
Her helmet shattered from that one strike alone and she was sent back several feet.
"Ugh…"
The female huntress had a painful headache now but she wasn't out of the fight yet. She raised her knives..
"Huh?"
It took a second to realize her knives were no longer on her hands..
She looked at Sivert who held both her knives, crushing them to pieces with ease.
Hunter Knives were sharp and insanely durable. So to see a human casually crush them with his right hand shocked the spectating crew.
Reeves clicked her tongue in annoyance and lunged at Sivert once again. Deciding to engage him with physical combat.
She began delivering several kicks and palm strikes in a graceful manner. Reeves was trained with a deadly style of martial arts.
But not even that was enough for this human who blocked her strikes, he was fighting back with a beautiful style of martial arts that definitely looked like it took years to master.
He was stopping Reeve's attack's before she could even land them.
Sivert delivered a quick palm strike to her right waist, shattering the Hunter's armor in that area and breaking several bones.
She dropped to one knee and threw a punch towards Sivert, but he grabbed it with his left hand and delivered a knee to Reeves face, breaking her nose and knocking her out of the fight.
The huntress dropped to both her knees and held her bloody nose.
Sivert lifted his right leg and gently pushed her face with his boot, she dropped to the floor, still holding her nose.
This battle was won before it even begun.
Reeves was a deadly hunter! With years of experience and knowledge yet she was easily defeated by this guy!
Who's combat style was beautiful and deadly at the same time. So refined and precise!
It entranced those who witnessed it.
"Now.."
Sivert looked back at the crew.
"Anyone else? Or can I finally say what I wanted to say?"
No one responded nor tried to fight him.
Two Psion's walked up and picked up Reeves, throwing her back into the gathered crew before walking away.
"Now."
Sivert placed both hands behind his back, "You are all filthy traitors. You awoken have betrayed your Kin and the same goes with you humans and you six Lightbearer's."
His gaze was hostile and piercing.
"You've allied yourself with a gutless traitor who worshiped a false God. Who I killed."
Their eyes widened in disbelief.
This man killed the Witness?! It.. was hard to believe for most but for Kryze..
It made sense.
For Calus has said that the Witness will not return, but he never said why..
"But like I said earlier, I'm willing to give you a chance at redemption. You will be given the opportunity to join me and the Cabal and the Eliksni. To take the fight to Calus and end his tyrannical rule."
"If we refuse?" Kryze was quick to ask.
Sivert turned his gaze towards her, it was hard… to keep looking at him.
Kryze felt like knives were being stabbed into her, but she did not break away.
"Then you will be locked away in a filthy cell where filthy traitor's like you belong."
One of Kryze's titans stood up in response.
"Look asshole. We didn't have a choice! We joined Calus because we were pressured into joi-"
"You joined to save your own ass's. People in the city relied on you! All of you! AND YOU JUST LEFT THEM!"
His shout echoed throughout the hangar. There was nothing but anger and hatred on Sivert's face.
The titan sat back down, struck heavily by those words.
"You can deny it all you want! But the truth is you joined for your own sake!"
The hangar was silent, the crew had no words.
They all looked down in shame.
Kryze did not though.
"The Traveler left.. what else was there to fight fo-"
"Are you fucking stupid!?"
His response was quick and cold and Kryze averted her eyes from Sivert.
"Your duty as a Guardian was to protect the people. The Traveler didn't give a shit! It's why it gave you it's light! It's why it left to come to me! So it could assist in me getting stronger!"
Sivert placed a finger on his chest.
"SO I COULD COME BACK AND SAVE YOU ALL! BUT INSTEAD, YOU MAKE MY JOB HARDER BY ALLYING YOURSELF WITH A FAT PILE OF SHIT!"
The Hunter has never resorted to such language like that in a long time..
He seemed to have also scared his prisoners into absolute submission.
Sivert shook his head and took a deep breath, quickly calming himself. Letting his emotions take control was a big no no.
"Now. I ask again, will you join us?" he held out his right hand.
Immediately the first one to go was Reeves, the huntress wasted no time in standing up to run over and grab his hand.
She could see her mistakes now, and she wants to fix them.
"Reeves…" Kryze called out to her fellow hunter. "After all we've been through?"
"You're kidding if you think I'm going to serve under that fat pig! Have you seen what he's done? I've told you many times Kryze, I couldn't stand the sight of those we were supposed to protect be chained up and forced to work."
The Hunter stood up. "Then why did you serve alongside us anyways?!"
"Because I was holding out hope for an opportunity like this. I cried every night.. praying and begging and here it is.. I'm going to do right and help free our people."
Kryze had no response as she looked down at dark floor.
She was conflicted…
"What about our friends…? If Calus learns we joined his enemies. He'll kill them."
"Then we free them. We call to them and have them join us as well. We will all do right." Reeves quickly answered. Portraying a soft smile as her wounds were quickly healed by Sivert.
Kryze turned slightly around and at the rest of her crew.
Waiting for her to make the choice. Whichever it may be..
They will join her.
It made her shed a small tear to see how loyal they were to her. She looked back forward.
At Sivert.
"I will join… just please. Don't hurt my ghost. She's my only family.." the Hunter begged to him.
Sivert fixed a glance at one of the Flayer's behind him.
The Psion held out it's right hand and several small cells specifically made for ghost were transmitted onto the floor.
They were opened and the ghost's flew out.
"Laze!"
"Kryze!"
The ghost quickly flew to her guardian who embraced her without a second though.
A wholesome reunion.
The other ghost's reunited with their guardians and begun healing them.
Sivert watched the rest of the crew walk over to him.
Accepting his offer..
Sivert gave a satisfied smile and begun shaking hands with everyone.
Another good start!
Sivert entered the war room of the Olympus Mons, alone as well.
Standing by the round war table in the middle was Otzot and two other Psion Flayer's.
"Primus." She bowed and greeted him.
"Sorry I'm late."
The Psion shook her head, "Do not worry. Now I have completed what you've asked for."
Before Sivert met with his new friends, he had Otzot work on something for him.
"Great! Now. What do you have for me." Sivert excitedly asked.
Otzot pressed one of the button's on the war table and it projected a few holographic images.
Schematics for human made Cabal armor.
Very advanced and made specifically for humans, Awoken's and Exo's.
The schematic provided various details on what this armor provided.
A highly flexible and comfortable black body suit to provide comfort and allow more movement for the wearer.
Highly resistant to damage and light armor made from a rare metal that would be placed over the body suit.
Several gadgets such as jump jets, magnetized boots, tactical displays on their helmets, and vambraces with specialized gadgets such as a flamethrower or an extra gun.
This armor was extremely advanced, not only that but there was also Cabal weaponry alongside the armor schematic.
Cabal weapons made for human hands.
It wasn't only Cabal tech in the armor or weapons, but also human tech. To help the wearer's feel more comfortable.
"The strange metals you've provided to me Primus. Those from the universe you were sent to. They are powerful and will serve as perfect material for this armor."
This will be one of Otzot's greatest creations!
"Good. I will provide more if you need it."
"Thank you Primus. As of now, I have two sets of armor finished right now. Ready for testing."
Sivert smirked. He loves how quick Otzot works.
"I got just the people."
Kryze looked down at herself and the armor she was asked to wear.
It was pretty comfortable and light.
"Good mobility." She commented while jumping and moving her limbs.
The armor was dark blue at the moment, it provided Kryze a chest plate, boots, knee guard, gloves with a handguard around them, a vambrace on both arms along with an elbow guard on both arms and a collar guard.
Finally, it provided a helmet with a T like visor.
Kryze could see through the visor better than most armor she's worn.
"How about you Bone?" the Hunter asked her other fellow Hunter who wore the second pair of armor.
"It'll take some getting used to." he replied calmly.
The armor also provided a jump jet, similar to those many Cabal soldier's wear. Only this one allowed the wearer to fly for long periods of time.
Even through space.
The helmet provided oxygen for the wearer's as well since they needed it in space.
So they could fight in space which was cool!
But to master this highly advanced armor and it's potential. It'll require a lot of training, even for a Guardian. The ability to be able to use it's gadgets and create individual fighting styles with it is proficient to the success of the armor's wearer.
For now, time to proceed with testing.
"Test one."
Sivert fixed a glance and a small nod to the Psion standing next to him.
It nodded back and aimed It's slug rifle at Kryze.
"Oh boy.."
Slug rifles hurt…
Very bad!
The Psion fired two shots, one at Kryze and then Bone.
The bullet crashed against their chest plates and shattered.
Kryze looked down at her armor and didn't notice a single scratch or dent..
"A few more rounds." Sivert ordered.
The Psion obeyed, firing five shots at both the guardians.
The bullets crashed against different sections of the armor such as the leg guards or shoulder guards.
Along with the thigh groins.
They didn't leave a single mark.
Otzot and the other Psion's took notes on their data pads and Sivert waited until they were finished before he continued with the next test.
"Now. Test two."
The Psion switched weapons, grabbing a slug shotgun and immediately started firing at the two.
The projectiles struck the two and the Psion continued firing until it ran out of ammunition.
"Wow…"
Kryze and Bone couldn't believe it. They were expecting to at least feel the incoming force from the projectiles but it seems the armor absorbed it!
Otzot let out a satisfied sigh and took more notes.
The Psion tester continued firing different weapons at the two, from Cabal Slug Launcher's to a Projection Rifles, Head Hunter Rifles, and a Bronto Cannon.
The armor took no damage, but the body suits did get damaged a little. To which Otzot took note of.
She'd have to make them more resilient but other than that! The tests were a success.
"Hold on." Sivert stopped her before she could finish up.
He looked back at the two Guardians and drew his Ace. It turned into a golden gun and he fired two shots at both the Guardians.
They were immediately sent flying from the force of the golden gun shot. Crashing against the walls behind them.
"Ow….."
The two groaned in pain and their ghost quickly healed them. The armor absorbed the damage but couldn't absorb most of the force.
The golden gun shots did leave dents in the armor though.
Sivert holstered his Ace and gave a small clap.
"Good work Otzot. Make sure to make different variants for those who worthy are enough to wear this armor. Oh, and send the Empress a report on this. I'm sure she'll be very pleased with your work."
The Psion expressed her happiness thoughtfully.
"Thank you Primus. I will."
She quickly and happily departed the testing arena with her assistants.
"You two did good as well." Sivert complimented.
Kryze and Bone only groaned in response as they slowly sat up.
"But you're going to have to train to master that armor. I will help you and your friends."
Kryze stood up and took of her helmet, "Why?"
Sivert shrugged, "Well you guys have potential but.. because you will also become my Siege Dancers."
Kryze and Jack looked at Sivert in confusion.
"Empress Caital has allowed me to revive the Legion, but in my image. You will work alongside talented Psions and Cabal to swiftly take down key enemy positions and bases."
Kryze looked down at her helmet for a moment. Such powerful armor quickly given to her.
She's only been here for 2 days..
Now she's being offered to join an elite legion.
"You'd trust us that easily?" she asked while looking back up at him.
"Yeah.. even if you tried anything I'd see it coming from miles away and would kill you before you could even do something." Sivert answered in a casual tone.
Kryze scoffed and shook her head.
Screw this guy…
He can be a prick sometimes..
"Very well.. we are in your care." The hunter bowed with Bone following in suite.
She dropped to the floor, sweat pouring down her body.
"Get up." Sivert ordered to which Reeves obeyed.
She got back in line, limping in the process.
There was two long rows full of Guardians. Most being defectors Kryze managed to acquire.
There was 50 of them and they all wore the black body suits that came before putting on the armor they were going to wear soon.
Sivert was overworking them but he didn't care.
They were Guardians..
Shake it off and get back up..
At the moment, he was teaching them some of his martial arts. Those his mother taught him many years ago..
The arts these 50 guardians desired to learn and master.
Along with this, Sivert was strengthening their resilience. By viciously striking them with deadly palm strikes and kicks.
He didn't allow their ghost to heal them either. Making them shake the pain off and stand back up.
As what just happened with Reeves who was struck in the chest with a palm strike.
Which broke several of her ribs.
But she stood up, fighting the pain..
"Good."
Sivert gave a satisfied nod and continued on.
This type of training continued on for several weeks, which allowed Otzot enough time to study guardians more and ensure the armor satisfy their needs.
Hunters have more mobility and lighter weapons, Titans have more armor and heavier weapons.
Warlock's have minimum armor and a variety select weapons along with support gadget's on their armor.
When the physical training was finished, it was time to train with their armor.
Sivert took them all on at once and was actually enjoying the fight. The armor proved to be useful as well, keeping them alive, even after taking some of his hardest hits.
But the one who stood out the most was Kryze..
She combined her martial arts and armor gadgets together. Frequently using her jump jet to give her a boost which allowed for speed and force on her kicks.
Also even managing to catch Sivert off guard with some new tricks.
Aside from her good fighting style, her leadership skills are what stood out. Directing her fellow Guardians when to and how to attack Sivert through comms which he didn't have access to.
It was amazing to see such coordinated warriors!
Had they been in the Cardinal world and become Saint's! Sivert probably would've gotten killed by them.
This battle lasted hours until Kryze was the last one standing, but she soon collapsed out of exhaustion.
Sivert stood over her, looking down and holding out his right hand.
"You did good."
Kryze looked up at him…
Highly entranced by his… eyes.
She slowly took his arm and stood up. She lifted her right arm and removed her helmet, revealing her chin length red hair and beautiful green eyes along with her soft white skin.
She's a young beauty that's for sure!
But she has a scary look sometimes.
"Thank you.. there will be more battles like this right?"
"Of course. For the rest of the week!"
Kryze smiled in excitement, she's never been pushed to her limits before like this the past few weeks.
She couldn't wait for more battles with Sivert.
With this whole week.
Kryze and her fellow Guardians quickly accustomed to their new armor and weapons and mastering them.
They're all formidable fighters.
Of course, these Guardians aren't the only ones training with this armor. There are more and even some Lightless humans and Awokens have qualified to put this armor on and fight for Sivert.
The training for Kryze and all those training in the armor finished soon after Caital finished her campaign against Calus's forces across space.
The resistance grew more tougher according to Caital as the Shadow Legion now know what's going on, but with such a late reaction.
They were done.
Now it was time to finish this once and for all!
End!
Don't have much to say other than I enjoyed making this chapter. As for what material Sivert gave Otzot to make the armor. That material would be magisteel, not to powerful and not to weak, just perfect for the armor!
Hope you enjoyed and see you guys next chapter!
