AN: I borrowed the dialogue from the scene where Tony figures out time travel. I am no scientist. I barely have a brain, I barely function.

I have shortened the contents page. Some of the things I was going to cover in this book can easily be covered in flashback in book 2 or book 3.

Chapter 16 How do we fix this?

Tony's point of view

I was drying dishes at the eco-compound. I saw the picture of Pepper, Maria, Peter and me that sat on the shelf above the sink. The frame read "World's Greatest Dad" and the kids got me it for Father's Day. In the picture we were pulling goofy faces and giving each other rabbit ears. Pepper was sitting on the couch, reading. My mother had pulled out the seats under the table, and she had the broom in hand, sweeping up the crumbs from dinner.

Inspired by the photograph, I went into the lab once I'd finished drying the dishes.

"Look at a mod inspiration, let me see what checks out. So, recommend one last sim before we pack it in for the night. This time, in the shape of a Möbius strip, inverted, please."

"Processing…"

"Give me that eigenvalue. That, particle factoring, and a spectral decomp. That will take a second."

"Just a moment."

"And don't worry if it doesn't pan out. I'm just kind of -"

"Model rendered."

"What the… oh… SHIT!"

THUNK

The bottom fell out of my chair and I landed heavily on the floor.

Three pairs of arms came from behind me and helped me onto my feet.

"What happened?"
"Friday and I just figured out how to rescue those lost, but then the bottom fell out of my chair…"
"You figured out time travel?"
"Yes"

"Wow, that's spectacular."

Bruce and the others came in.

"OK… I have something concrete…"

"It's really dangerous" said Hank "really really REALLY dangerous"

"But if we can stop Thanos…"
"It'll be worth it."
"Have you looked at all the possibilities? All the loopholes and closed them all?"
"Let's do that now"
