It was weird, Izuku reflected.
When she saw Kacchan, how he usually acted, and the way he was completely and totally confident in his own powers and future, she still felt those old feelings of admiration in her heart.
She probably shouldn't. She knew that Kacchan was a bully, who liked to pick on other people… But she couldn't help it.
She wanted to be like that too… Not the bullying part. She wanted to be strong… Confident, and able to face things head-on.
He had such a cute smile too…
Not that it ultimately mattered in the end, however, as these feelings of admiration would always last right up until he inevitably directed his feelings in her direction.
And he always did.
Every single school day, there didn't go one by where he didn't pick on her.
It wasn't always that bad… Today wasn't either. Just him talking down on her while standing there, towering over her.
She could hardly breathe.
She wanted to say something. She always wanted to say something. Speak up, show that she wasn't just some lifeless doll to be kicked around as people pleased.
She didn't though. She never did.
The thing that truly, truly crushed her though… It was not that she didn't speak up, or stand up for herself.
It was that she wouldn't do it tomorrow.
As Kacchan and his two buddies left, she took a while to compose herself and gather her strength before leaving.
She felt a strong, powerful sense of self-loathing as she did.
It was not a new feeling, and just made it feel worse.
Coward.
Shaking, she steadied herself as she brought out her phone, planning on maybe checking out the Local Pro Hero news.
That usually made her feel better. Made her forget about this pain.
She hadn't been physically hurt today. That was something.
Her plans were immediately cut short by a message.
From her dad.
She stared at it. Then immediately clicked it and began reading.
Her mood immediately picked up.
It was just a message asking her to come to his lab.
That made her feel better. If her dad wanted her to come there, it was usually because he had something he wanted to show her. A new invention, or something.
Those never failed to make her smile.
Her dad was one of the most brilliant minds to ever live. He never failed to showcase the most amazing things and inventions.
He didn't do things related to Hero work though… But there was more to her life than just that.
She wished she could remember that sometimes. At school. But there it was like… The only thing she was ever allowed to, or able to think and be reminded about was her hopes and dreams.
She called her mom up, as she began walking.
"Hey, mom? I'm going out for today so you don't need to prepare the usual… Yeah, I'm Going to visit dad… Yeah, he asked me to come so he probably has something to show me."
Talking with her mom also made her feel better, and as she stepped out of the building she hated so much, she began feeling life and energy return to her.
Her life, despite how she felt almost every single day, was not confined to the coffin that was her school.
Her mood picked up even more as while she was waiting for the train she got to see a real Villain Hero brawl not less than 20 meters away!
It was so exciting!
She felt her heart begin to beat like a drum as she filmed the entire thing, planning to dissect it when she got home… Though it happened much quicker than that, as she began doing it on the train.
It had been a spectacular fight. Far more so than she'd have expected to see on her daily routine.
As she usually did she began taking notes and speculations about the Hero in question going over their powers, estimated height, costume, and so on.
It was one of the things that brought her joy in life.
It was also so distracting that she only realized it was her stop when the train speaker announced they were there.
She hurriedly began scrambling off the train… And right into pouring rain.
She blinked in surprise then internally swore, began frantically packing away her notebook and fishing for an umbrella… She didn't have one.
She'd left her small, easily foldable umbrella at home.
Crap!
It wasn't that it was THAT far to her Dad's lab, but jogging it was still about 10-15 minutes.
She immediately zipped her bag firmly shut and took off.
About 10 minutes later, she was forced to lean up against the wall and just breathe inside a side shop.
She was soaked and cold, but that seemed nothing compared to the painful, burning sensation in her lungs.
The cashier just by looked her over, and glared at where she was leaving water on the floor and wall.
She didn't say anything though.
"I…hah…I'll… Leave soon… hah… Just… Need… hah… To catch… hah... My breath…"
"Take your time." She said in a voice of politeness that Izuku could see right through.
She was making a bit of extra, unnecessary work. She immediately felt guilty.
She immediately felt a sense that she had to comply… To go back out in the rain.
The old urge to just… Fold when presented with someone pushing her being strong and well.
Whether or not she would actually just go along with the woman's wishes, and go back out in the rain, rather than stand and drop water from her soaked clothes, Izuku would never know.
A massive "FWWWOOOOSSSHHH!" sound echoed from outside, but it was NOTHING compared to how for one moment, the entire shop was lit up by light from flames.
Izuku immediately turned around, expecting there to be some sort of fire-based Quirk fight outside… But there wasn't.
"Seems it came from old Midoriya's lab… Wait, is the building on fire? Holy crap it is!"
Izuku stared at the sight where, sure enough, one portion of the roof of the old building was completely engulfed in flames.
There was a massive hole in the roof from which the fire had seemingly spread from.
Then as she watched, another, just as bright if smaller burst of flame punched out through the building this time from the side.
Her dad's fire Quirk.
She didn't even think.
She was out and running again, the pain in her lungs almost completely numb, by the time she realized what she was doing.
She didn't stop though.
More bursts of flame shot through the buildings, as the rain poured down, down, down.
Had she not been so close, it would have been hard to see as anything but huge flashes of light in the downpour.
As it was she heard sounds. Jets of flame, and the sounds she was so familiar with through watching countless Hero battles.
The sound of impacts, and people moving at high speed.
But never in her life had she felt like this watching Heroes and Villains duke it out.
Fear was what ran through her veins now.
Fear so overwhelming it made the pain in her sides seem almost non-existent.
It was not the fear she felt every time Kacchan opened his mouth. A fear of what would happen. This was another kind of fear. One she had never experienced before.
A fear that only grew and grew as she reached the entrance of her father's lab and saw the entire entrance was cleaved right open like someone had cleaved the four sides of the thick steel door with an enormous cleaver.
As she began sprinting up the stairs she heard something else, a powerful, masculine voice that boomed through the building where the walls were on fire.
"A SCIENTIST DOESN'T CARE HOW WELL SOMETHING GOES OVER! NOT IF THE RESULT OF HIS RESEARCH IS SOUND!"
It was such a thing her dad would say.
Normally that would have filled her with happiness and pride… But the tone… The rage, the power in his voice… It was something she had never heard before.
The other sounds did not abate either. The release of jets of fire, impacts, movement, the shaking of the walls and floor as something was happening somewhere up above.
Fire, pain, fear.
It all tumbled together inside and around her as her legs carried her with a desperate, primal speed she had never known.
"Darrrhhh…!"
She tried to scream for her dad but her first, pitiful attempt ended up like a choking sound as her lungs felt like they had daggers through them.
She collapsed against the wall, the wall opposite blazing with fire from molten rock.
She felt tears of fear and frustration begin to set in as she just panted, in and out, in and out, deep breaths to try to stabilize her wrecked lungs.
Then she felt it. She heard it. Heard something… On the other side of this wall.
It was a woman's voice, though what it said she didn't hear.
Then she heard her dad scream in pain and agony.
It was a sound that shook her out of all of it. pain, fatigue, confusion.
It all seemed to wash away, leaving only a horrible, terrible fear and a surge of adrenaline in its place.
She staggered to her feet, and out from her throat she screamed.
"DAAAD! DAAAD!"
With pain in every movement, she staggered herself back up, and suddenly in a flash, she remembered the layout.
She knew how to get to that room. The room her dad was in.
As she once more took off running, she heard one more, massive gust of flame.
She rounded the corner, ran forward, and snapped around.
"Dad…"
She stopped completely.
Her dad was lying up against the wall on the opposite side of where she had just been.
His… His entire intestinal system was hanging out of his guts, spilled across the floor. Blood was everywhere.
Opposite to him, and facing him was a woman. No a girl. Just like her. Wearing a pink dress and boots.
She had her strawberry hair in two enormous, frilly ponytails from either side of her head.
One side of her face and the hair around it was a giant, open burn wound, her eye having exploded into liquid in its socket.
She was wielding a katana coated in blood. Her dad's blood.
She was looking down on her father, with a feral expression as she panted, clearly agitated.
Izuku was… Numb.
She didn't breathe. Didn't make a sound. Just…. Stared at the aftermath of the carnage before her.
Then, suddenly, and without warning, seemingly not even having realized Izuku was there, she turned and walked over to the now open roof, and jumped out.
Izuku didn't care.
She didn't even look after her.
Instead… Slowly… And with the realization as she did so, that the man against the wall still drew breath, she walked forward, until she reached him.
Midoriya Hisashi's remaining eye was glassy, but when she knelt beside him and grabbed his hand, it focused.
"Izuku… I…" he coughed and a huge surge of blood surged from his mouth.
At any other time, she would have pulled back in revulsion.
Not now.
Some of the blood splattered across her legs.
She didn't care.
"Figures… I finally… Have so much to say… And now… so little time…"
"Don't… Don't die, Dad. Please don't…"
She could feel the tears begin to flow, as she began to truly realize what was about to happen.
The old man smiled.
"Forgive me… My child… I… I couldn't finish off that fool girl… This is it… for me…"
"No… No, it… It can't…"
She felt herself beginning to sob in earnest as she raised his hand to her forehead and squeezed it as hard as she could.
As if it was the only real thing in the world.
"It can't… I can't end like this…"
Her dad gave a short, but surprisingly cheerful chuckle. His usual quirky laugh, sounding like the ones he'd used when she bounced on his knee so long ago.
"You always were… The Kindest one… Don't lose that Izuku… Don't… Lose your… Way…"
He squeezed her hand in return.
Then… The pressure on her fingers lessened.
The pained, wheezing breathing stopped, and Doctor Midoriya's eyes glazed over anew.
Pain. There was nothing but pain in her world.
Pain unimaginable.
It was suffering on a level she had not dreamt existed, even in her darkest nightmares.
She cried, for that was the only thing left to her then.
Cries and sobs, as the rain kept pouring down, extinguishing the flames, and snuffing out the last few embers of Midoriya Hisashi's existence.
I
The fire dome that Yuei had lovingly crafted to simulate hazardous fire catastrophes was rapidly finding itself ceasing to be as huge sections of the entire thing vanished from reality in enormous explosions of brilliant, glowing green.
It had the side effect of making every single person inside, whether it be the isolated and alone student Ojiro, or the various villains suddenly deciding that discreteness was the greater part of valor, scattering to the four winds, as everything around them(as well as their clothes) disappear into nothingness.
Absolutely everything around Izuku disappeared into the void… Except the one thing she was trying to erase from the face of the Earth.
"COME^BACK¤HEREAND(((DIE!"
"Gonna have to pass on that one~"
Nui flipped like cardboard as Izuku barely missed taking her right in the throat with a savage Lariat.
"You know…"
There she was interrupted, as Izuku, after having hit the ground snapped around, and launched herself forward again, hitting her in the face with a knee.
She landed on her feet again, now with a bleeding nose, quite far away, Izuku being there after her almost immediately.
"I've faced Kamui user before you know?"
She began blocking, clearly not able to match Izuku's blows, but finding more success with the side of her blade and her arms than trying to continuously dodge Izuku's blows.
"When they lose it like this, the suit becomes feral, taking over and either devours them whole or turns them into monsters. But that's not happening to you~ Why is that?"
She didn't know.
She didn't care.
Mei brought the Katana's blade down on her.
It was no doubt a stupidly hard and durable material, but it was not nearly sharp enough to cut through Izuku's skin.
This rather than being hit with a blade, for Izuku it was like Nui had slapped her with a giant metal rod.
It hurt sure, but only to a degree that it served to fuel her rage.
Izuku grabbed Nui's wrist and pulled the target of her ire and hatred towards her, pummeling her with her other hand with blows that in any other situation would have astonished her by the sheer force behind them!
It felt good.
She hadn't even considered that as a motivation, but it was true enough.
Beating the shit out of Nei gave her a satisfaction and schadenfreude that was frankly speaking… Exhilarating.
Pummeling Nei's face and body was satisfying in a gritty, brutal way that was so alien to her and the kind, shy girl she usually was.
This girl… She only wanted to make her feel Pain.
The kind of pain that Nui had inflicted upon her back then.
The wound that had never healed.
The satisfaction was brought to a swift halt as she found herself getting kicked in the face by one of Nui's Gogo boots.
The impact sent Izuku flying, and was accompanied by a flash of pain from her nose, as she felt blood running down it.
The broken nose snapped back into place and the flow stopped. She hadn't consciously done it, but it just did it on its own with a speed way quicker than usual.
"Also… You're not that fast~ So how do you keep managing to hit me?"
The girl sounded a mixture between that cutesy tone she had found herself despising so much already, along with a hint of petulance and curiosity.
Izukuku lunged at her, to which the girl easily dodged.
"See? I can easily dodge the first strike, but then you-"
Izuku shot forward and planted a sideways kick right into her guts.
Once more the impact sent her flying, and she collided with the outer wall at a speed that shook it.
Izuku was not far behind.
As the girl spat out a huge glob of blood, she for just a moment flashed a face that was far less whimsical, and more like that of an angry animal.
"How do you keep hitting me like that?"
"DONT CARE!"
She could do it, and in her state where anger and rage buried absolutely everything else, that fact was the only thing that mattered.
The fact that she could hit her, and Nui for whatever reason wasn't able to dodge effectively.
She was going to keep doing that until Nui stopped getting back up.
I
All Might looked after the girl who had just sent the pink-haired monster flying in a manner similar to how he'd done with so many villains.
The massive bolts and flashes of green that shot up from the area brought to mind something else.
His master's last stand.
Odd… That thought felt… Oddly fitting.
He had failed his master.
An utter failure in all regards.
"ALL MIGHT!"
Melissa's voice was what truly broke him out of it.
He looked to her, where on top of the cliff that had until recently been the top of a set of stairs, still feeling numb inside… Then he realized she was pointing to something.
That something was Nomu, who had, up until now, been rather docile after Nui had given her orders.
Now though, as she was gone, he had gotten into a fighting stance, facing him.
A guttural sound roared forth from his throat.
Right…
Suddenly strength returned to him.
He was a failure. A failure as a student to the woman he'd regarded as his own mother.
And here he was falling as the world's strongest Hero, as he would have to leave the greater task to someone else and trust in young Midoriya to do what he could not.
But he was not dead yet, and he felt his guts ripped open, he understood now, how his own master had felt at the end. The calm tone as she faced the great monster that was All For One.
No… He hadn't failed yet. Not completely.
He had DESTROYED All For One, he had found a Worthy successor to carry on the fight, just like Nana had.
Yes, he still had a task to do.
After all… He was the symbol of Peace! He still had his role to play to secure the future for those around him. After all… Protecting the innocent to one's last breath, was that not what a Hero did?
He launched himself forward as Nomu did the same.
The entire plaza shook under their blows, and the ground beneath began to crack, as All Might's world became utter and complete pain. It was blinding, so all-consuming was the pain from his gutten stomach.
Yes, even if he was not mortally wounded, this was a foe that he could never have held back against. It would take his all.
He grit his teeth and powered on through like there was nothing in the world that was wrong.
He was a powerful foe Nomu. A mighty enemy… strong enough to match his blows… at least the blows had been dishing out so far.
But he had not been giving it his all before now.
This was it though.
His final battle.
"TELL ME VILLAIN! DO YOU KNOW THESE WORDS? THE MEANING BEHIND THEM!? THE WORDS THAT THE HEROES OF THIS SCHOOL LIVE BY?"
As he barraged his enemy with punches that he had not unleashed the likes of since that fateful day he defeated All For One, his enemy began to buckle and break!
Shock absorption huh..? Should have looked for nullification instead he mused wryly.
"PLUUUSSSS!"
He gathered every bit of his power into one, final blow.
"ULLLLLTTRRRRAAAAA!"
With massive bolts like blue lightning, the punch hit Nomu with such force that he was sent flying skyward, and SMASHED through the outer dome and continued flying through the air dissipating clouds he passed through through the sheer force of the speed as he flew… Before disappearing as a dot in the distance.
He took deep breaths.
"Hah… Hah…"
The world was pain. His vision didn't return… But somehow, he could feel where Melissa was.
"I really… Have been getting old… that… Would taken five blows in my prime… It took… 300 now…"
His thoughts went out to Nana's Grandson.
Yes… He had failed him. Just like he had failed his Grandmother… And Son… It would be up to Melissa to try to fix his mistakes… He would need to put his trust in her… Just as Nana had put hers in him.
He raised his hand, and without turning to face her, he pointed.
At his heir. His successor.
Just like his master… He had chosen someone to carry on the flame.
"You're… Next…"
And with those final words, with his guts and entrails open to the world, All Might, the Symbol of Peace, the single greatest Hero in History passed from the mortal coil.
I
Mei and Tenya looked over the situation in front of them, where on the top of a plateau, a whole host of villains lay on the ground unconscious and charred, seemingly from Kaminari's electrical quirk.
That was the good part.
The bad part was that Kaminari was currently being held hostage by the neck, being lifted by the remaining villain, who was clearly threatening to kill him, while Momo and Jiro were both holding their hands up.
"Bad situation… What do we do?"
The two of them were currently hiding behind the stony entrance to the plateau.
They hadn't been seen yet, which was good.
The problem was that they couldn't move any closer without exposing themselves immediately.
What to do, what to do?
She considered.
She had several gadgets that would do the job from this distance, but none of her big babies would do it without hitting all 4.
She'd need to improvise something else if she wanted to save Kaminari.
Also, step over a line.
A huge line.
"I have… An idea that would do it… But it would be brutal. Exceedingly so… And I'd need your help."
Tenya looked at her.
"Brutal."
He clearly recalled the fight below.
"Yeah… The permanent kind."
He looked from her, and back to the situation, where the villain now had caught Jiro trying to do something, though Mei could see the movement in detail she wasn't entirely sure what she had been planning to do.
Tenya, also catching it, stiffened.
He poked his head back from cover and looked at her in full.
"What do we need to do?"
"Oh, you trust me then?"
"Yes, I do. We MUST save the three of them."
Mei zoomed her sights in on the man's head, where he was wearing a metal helmet of some kind.
That was the key… Or rather the two holes to allow him to see through.
As she pulled out her grappling hook gun, she considered.
Yes…. He was just wrong in what direction he was looking.
23 meters. She could make that. She had done it easily enough in tests.
She felt sweat on her skin.
Nervousness. That was not like her. Not like her at all.
"He needs to look here. I need him to look directly in our direction."
She needed him to turn his head just slightly.
Tenya nodded.
"Does he need to look in this direction for long?"
"No, I just need a moment."
"Very well. Are you ready?"
"Yeah…"
She got to her feet.
Why was she suddenly feeling a sense of uncertainty?
She knew exactly what to do.
She redied her gun.
"One… two… three. Go!"
Iida immediately stepped out from behind the rocky cover. Followed directly by Mei who was just off to the side from him.
"Villain! Cease your-"
It all happened in that moment.
She had her grappling hook gun aimed exactly where it needed to be.
The villain just needed to turn just a bit more.
He did so, his head snapping, then coming to a halt.
That was all she needed.
She pulled the trigger, and like a javelin the head of the grappling hook launched forward, and sharp edge first it buried itself in the villains right eye.
Then it hit something hard, the inner side of the man's skull, and punched through, before unfurling on the other side of his head.
She let go of the gun before the automatic winch sent it shooting forward.
For a brief, brief moment, the ginormous man stood there, swaying, not quite certain whether he'd topple forward and crush the hostage teenager in his hand, or backwards.
Then the gun part of the launcher hit him straight in the face and decided it for him by throwing him backwards from the impact.
It had only taken a moment.
But the silence that followed seemed to last an eternity.
Mei took a moment to assess the situation, the fact that Kaminari was getting back up relatively unscathed, his hand feeling about what was no doubt a very sore neck.
Both Momo and Jiro were in various stages of absolute shock, staring down at the bloody, gory scene in front of them.
Mei for her part was feeling strangely… Stoic? Was that the word? Not calm, you could feel very engaged while keeping calm.
She eventually began walking up to them, hearing Iida following after she began walking.
Nobody said anything as the two newcomers came there, but Momo's gaze shifted from the scene on the ground to Mei, her face turning a very forced calm, while Jiro flinched away from her.
"You okay Kaminari?"
The blonde boy, whom Mei had pegged as the regular, standard class clown was surprisingly handling it the best it seemed, as while he looked a bit disturbed, it was nothing compared to the girls.
"Y-yeah… Damn. That was…"
Iida walked past him and instead continued onwards, where he knelt down by where Mei's grappling hook gun had winched itself towards, looking like he'd been stabbed with it.
Bile suddenly shot up her throat.
Not much, but it still forced her to lean over and hurl.
After finishing, she wiped her mouth and jaw clean using the back of her non-gauntleted hand.
"In a hostage situation, you need to neutralize the hostage taker before he can enact injury on the hostage, using any means necessary."
The rest of them stared at her, but other than Jiro looking even more disturbed, she wasn't able to tell what the other two were feeling, especially not Tenya, with his face hidden behind his masked helmet.
Somewhere behind her, far below the plateau, but carrying with no problem, sounds of hundreds of supersonic punches suddenly erupted, to accompany the bolts of green lightning that danced all through one corner of the dome.
I
Melissa felt… Numb. So numb that the pain in her hastily bandaged gut seemed almost non-existent.
"Holy Shit… He… He died standing."
And so he had.
Uncle All Might had died standing.
Like Benkei of Old, he remained on his feet, arm still pointing where he had put it before he obviously took his last breath.
Vaguely, she sensed that the rest of the gathered students around her were staring at her, the girl who he had clearly been pointing at as he said his last words.
She wasn't able to process it.
Instead, all her focus was on All Might.
The sudden… Void that had just opened up inside of her.
Her mental anguish and breakdown were forced on hold however, as suddenly, and without warning, Nui and Midoriya slammed into the Exit, busting it wide open along with the accompanying wall.
I
Izuku didn't get a chance to get back on her feet before Nui kicked her back into the dome, though the kick she had used to send her flying was nowhere near as powerful as the one that had just sent her flying all across the plaza and out of it.
She bounced along the ground before coming to a halt on the small raised section by the entrance, not far away from where she had lost control and the rest of her classmates.
As she crawled to her feet, she found herself hurling, though what she hurled was copious amounts of blood.
God… Had she really been hurt THAT badly?
With said blood, as her body stitched itself back up again, she suddenly felt two things.
The first was that she was suddenly lightheaded, and the other was that the seemingly inexhaustible rage that had propelled her through this entire fight began to abate.
It wasn't gone though. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
The HATE was still there, as powerful as it had ever been… But suddenly she found her mind was… Clearer. MUCH clearer.
Nui landed after a jump quite far away.
She was in rough shape too. The broken nose hadn't healed, and all across her body was a whole host of smaller and larger bruises, but as she looked at her as she staggered to her feet, the cocky, childish, infuriating grin was BACK!
"I figured it out~ When I get close to you… I become weaker. My strength, durability, even my Quirk abilities… All of them go down a lot~ That's some interesting powers you have there you know? Like they were made to beat me and others like me. Not at all like Satsuki's~"
Izuku hadn't realized it at all. But having it explained, she immediately understood how to harness it.
"#Then/I]just***need^^to))get=closeand=Keepyou=there¡"
Actually hearing how she sounded was a small shock in and out of itself.
She sounded… Bloody scary.
That thought was immediately washed away by Nui replying in that voice she HATED.
"Sure~ That's what I'd do too~ But so long as I keep my distance, I can launch myself forward with the kind of power attacks I just used! Just like like All Might often used to do~"
Somewhere behind Izuku, a blonde girl's head turned, two eyes burning like cold, blue sapphires.
"^^^I'llDodge=Those!"
Dodge, then counterattack.
The girl raised and leveled her Katana in a fencing position as if she was about to thrust it like a rapier.
"Sure you can~"
Her eye went from Izuku to something to the left of him.
"Feel free to dodge if you want~"
She didn't think.
She just just moved forward.
She planted her feet hard, anchoring them with… Something. Something physical that shot deep, deep into the ground from her feet.
With a sound similar to an artillery shell slamming into something of metal too hard to break, Nui's katana buried itself into her gut to the hilt, punching, not piercing its way through her flesh, doing with brute force and localized power application to do what the cutting edge power had failed to do.
The blade stopped 10 cm from Minoru Mineta's head.
Pain. Insane pain.
It wasn't just the wound that screamed in pain, but the entire area around felt like it had been hit with an artillery shell.
She coughed up blood again.
"Wow, you actually did it~ Just like a real Hero~!"
Two hands closed around Nui's arms… Then with a sickening sound, thorns shoot out of it, as below, similar thorns into the ground itself immediately retracted back up.
Izuku raised her eyes upwards and looked into Nui's face.
It was a face of hate, spite, and wrath, like a demon.
Izuku brought back her head, and BASHED it forward against Nui's skull with ALL her might!
She felt the shock run through her, the pain around her stomach wound feeling like she was being ripped in half.
She brought her head back again… Then bashed her a second time!
The pain… God almighty the pain…
She growled, then as Nui's head was literarily spinning in that way you sometimes saw Manga characters do after head trauma, complete with a whirly eye and cartoonish yellow birds around her head, she planted her foot on Nui's chest, and began to PULL!
"NNNNNRRRGGGHHH!"
She put ALL of her might into it, as she felt the flesh she was grabbing so hard, began to TEAR.
"RRRRAAARRWWWGGGHHH!"
With a roar, and two massive YANKS of might, she RIPPED Nui's Arms from their sockets, blood spilling everywhere, and a host of bright, glowing red lines accompanying it.
Then she KICKED Nui in the FACE!
It should have sent her flying out of the dome, but instead, it only sent her away a few meters.
Izuku suddenly felt woozy. Completely out of it.
It came without any warning.
She fell to her knees blade in her.
"Hah…hah…"
She stared down at the blade like she was just now realizing it was there.
The blade that had… Had…
Images of her dad suddenly shot through her head.
Her eyes went wide, and she grabbed the blade and pulled.
"NNNNnnggghhhh…"
She began to cry, so sudden was the pain. Holy shit… It hurt… It hurt so bad… Was this… Was this how her dad had felt?
She grabbed the blade and pushed the filthy, evil thing out of her.
She collapsed forward, the wound below closing.
Where… Where was the fire… The energy… It was just gone…"
In front of her, screams began to be heard.
She looked up numbly, as in front of her Nui was screaming her head off, her severed limb twitching on the ground but still connected to her through some bizarre, glowing red lines.
Holy… Had… Had she done that?
It was… A gruesome scene.
"MY ARMS! OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH! MY AAAARRRMMMMSSSS?!"
She turned to face Izuku looking absolutely furious.
"YOU JERK, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW VALUABLE MY ARMS ARE? I'M THE GRAND…Grand…"
Her face suddenly got a puzzled look, like she was trying to recall something.
"The grand…"
For a very, very brief moment, her eye flashed purple, then returned back to its regular color.
"Ah, Just kidding. If you rip my arms off, they'll just pop right back on again."
Izuku stared at her in shock.
Then like they were being pulled back by a fishing reel, both arms suddenly shot back, the red lines retracting before both snapped into place.
"-We really should have gone for the head instead."
Fuku's voice was suddenly back, as nonchalantly as if he'd never left.
Not that Izuku was in any position to consider the implications of that.
Her limbs suddenly felt like lead.
It was a feeling she had NEVER felt with this suit transformed.
Move. You have to move. You have to FIGHT!
The hate was gone, replaced by fear as Nui rotated her reattached arms, seemingly just to feel them stretch.
She had to get back up. Her body didn't budge.
"See? Good as new!"
She then bucked over and hurled a load of blood so massive it was frankly cartoonish.
"Oh… Oh man…" She shook her head. "Oh man… I need to go lie down for a minute. But first I need to…"
She fixed her eye on Izuku again and began walking forward.
Then she face-planted into the ground.
On her knees, she looked back to her left foot, where her boot was currently glued to the floor through a purple ball.
"What the hell… The hell is this?"
It was one of Mineta's balls.
When… When had he thrown that?
Her reflexes were completely gone.
As such, beyond a flash of motion, she completely missed it, as from behind her Melissa Shield launched herself forward, and with a crackle of blue lightning, she pulled her leg back, and KICKED the kneeling over Nui in the face with such force, that she was sent flying out of the open entrance of the dome, and vanished into the sky much like how Nomu had.
Izuku just stared after her, not managing to catch the moment when she disappeared as a speck of pink in the eternal blue of the heavens.
"You okay…? You… Back now?"
She nodded… numbly.
Then she fainted.
She felt several sets of hands close around her and catch her as she bottomed over, and then everything went black.
