"Don't you have work?" Kakashi asked Sakura as he played with her hair.

Sakura snuggled closer to him, she did remove the pillow that separates them. "I asked Ino to cover for me today, right?"

"But that was because you're crying." Kakashi said.

"I'm taking a day off because I'm happy." Sakura answered him. "How about you? Don't you have work?" She looked up at him and saw how he leaned back into the pillow that supported his back.

"I just came from a mission. I have at least three days before they send me to another mission."

Sakura grinned, feeling a sense of contentment. "Perfect timing then. I'll send a hawk to Tsunade for a time off. We can enjoy these three days together."

Kakashi chuckled, "I like the sound of that. Any plans for our mini-vacation?"

Sakura thought for a moment, then suggested, "How about we spend the day doing nothing? Just enjoying each other's company, maybe watch a movie, or take a walk in the park."

"That's a good idea." Kakashi admitted. "Though I really wanted to kiss you more." He brushed her lips with his thumb lightly. "Though it does look swollen now."

"Kakashi!" she swatted his hand away. "That was embarrassing."

"Why?" he asked. "It's true. I think I kissed you thoroughly last night."

Sakura blushed at Kakashi's bold comment. "Kakashi, we should keep our private life private."

Kakashi chuckled, "Fair enough. But seriously, I'm glad we had this conversation. I don't want there to be any more misunderstandings between us."

Sakura nodded, "Me too. Communication is key, right?"

Kakashi smiled, "Exactly. We'll make this work, Sakura. I promise."

"Now, I want that kiss." She pouted.

Kakashi's chest rumbled because of his suppressed laugh. "Come here."

And as Sakura leaned in for a kiss, the weight of the past six months seemed to lift completely. The room was filled with a sense of reconciliation, and they both realized the importance of open communication in their relationship.

As their lips met, the kiss was not just a physical connection but a symbolic bridge mending the gaps that had formed between them. It was a promise of understanding, of being there for each other, and of embracing the vulnerability that comes with love.

Sakura leaned in further, further deepening their kiss. Kakashi had to pull away when he felt something stir within him. "Sakura, you better stand up if you want to leave this room." he whispered.

"What if I want to stay here?"

"Sakura, don't tempt me. It's hard enough that we're in this bed together now. Tempt me more and I'll ravish you."

"Not so shy now, ne, Kakashi-kun?" Sakura observed.

Kakashi chuckled, "I guess not. But I don't want to rush things. We've got plenty of time now."

Sakura smiled, feeling a sense of happiness and security she hadn't experienced in months. "You're right. We have all the time in the world."

They spent the rest of the day in each other's arms, savoring the simple joy of being together. The past misunderstandings and pain seemed like a distant memory as they focused on building a stronger foundation for their relationship.

As they embraced the warmth and comfort of each other, Sakura couldn't help but think that sometimes, love needs a bit of patience, understanding, and a willingness to communicate. She was grateful for the difficult conversation they had, as it paved the way for a deeper connection with Kakashi.

In the days that followed, Kakashi and Sakura continued to navigate the intricacies of their relationship. They learned to communicate more openly, express their feelings, and appreciate the unique ways they each showed love.

"Sakura?"

"Hm?"

Kakashi scratched the back of his head. "I'm thinking, maybe you would want to move in?" he asked.

Sakura looked at him deadpanned. "Move in?" she repeated. "As in move into your home?"

Kakashi nodded, a hint of uncertainty in his expression. "Well, yeah. I mean, I want to see you everyday. I want you to be with me. We wasted six months already, why can't we take this step?"

Sakura's eyes widened, surprised by Kakashi's suggestion. She took a moment to process his words before a warm smile spread across her face. "Kakashi, are you sure about this? I mean, it's a big step, and we just started working things out."

Kakashi nodded, his gaze steady. "I am. I've had time to think, and I don't want to waste any more time. I want you to be a part of my everyday life, Sakura. I want to come home to you."

Sakura's heart fluttered at his sincerity. The idea of living together, of sharing their lives on a daily basis, was both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. "I... I'd like that, Kakashi." she murmured. "I mean, okay. I'll move in."

Kakashi's grey eyes lit up with a genuine smile. "Really?"

Sakura nodded, a matching smile on her face. "Yes, Kakashi. I'm sure. Let's do it."

Over the next few weeks, Sakura gradually moved her belongings into Kakashi's home. He was beaming during the whole process. Even paid some genins to help them in the move, a gesture that made Sakura laugh. She never witnessed Kakashi spend voluntarily.

When the move was done, Kakashi wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "What do you think?"

Sakura looked around the shared space, a blend of Kakashi's minimalistic style and her own touches. She smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and belonging. "It's perfect, Kakashi. Thank you for inviting me into your home."

Kakashi pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "No, thank you for being a part of my life, Sakura."

As they settled into their new routine, Kakashi and Sakura continued to grow and learn together. Living under the same roof brought its own set of challenges and joys, but their commitment to open communication and understanding strengthened their bond.

Months passed, and their relationship flourished. Kakashi and Sakura found solace and happiness in each other's company. The once distant and misunderstood medic and the enigmatic ninja had become an inseparable pair, proving that love could indeed overcome obstacles.
