"Hey, Sakura, slow down!" Ino grabbed Sakura's wrist as she made to chug down another bottle of sake.

Sakura laughed, a bit unsteady on her feet. "Come on, Ino! Drink up!"

Ino exchanged worried glances at Sai. Sakura never drunk this much.

"You know, Hag, this is the exact reason why Kakashi-sempai won't marry you. You're a drunkard." Sai commented flatly.

Sakura's hand froze mid-air at Sai's remarks. She put the bottle down before she plastered a fake smile on her face. "I didn't know you're interested in my love life, Sai." she shot back. "Ino, keep a leash on your husband, I'm dancing."

Sakura swayed her hips in tune of the music before she made her way to the dance floor.

On the dance floor, Sakura moved with a carefree energy, letting the music guide her movements. The dim lights and rhythmic beats created an atmosphere of liberation, a temporary escape from the complexities of her thoughts.

Ino watched Sakura from the sidelines, concern etched on her face. Sai, ever observant, remained silent, his eyes fixed on the unfolding scene.

Sakura twirled and swayed, losing herself in the music. As she danced, she felt a mixture of emotions bubbling within her—frustration, confusion, and a hint of sadness. The revelation about Kakashi's past marriage lingered in her mind, casting a shadow over the celebratory atmosphere.

Her thoughts were being drowned by the music when she felt hands on her waist. Normally, she would punch the living daylights of any man who tries to grope her. But she let the hand stayed on her waist as she danced to the music. Determined to drown all the things that hurt her.

"Hey, beautiful." A voice sounded on her ear. "Want to dance somewhere else?"

Sakura turned to see a stranger with a playful grin, his eyes filled with confidence. The alcohol in her system muddled her judgment, and she found herself swaying to the rhythm, captivated by the stranger's charisma. She laced her hands on the man's neck and smiled at him. "You're handsome."

The stranger chuckled, a hint of arrogance in his demeanor. "Well, thank you. You're not too bad yourself."

She grinned at him and continued to dance. She's trying so hard to forget the conversation she had with Kakashi that she wasn't able to feel the wandering hands of the man she's dancing with.

Seeing this, Ino glanced at Sai. "Don't just watch there! Do something!" she told her husband.

"Sakura is a grown woman, she can handle herself." Sai commented before drinking his sake.

"Sai!"

"I'll step in if he goes any further. Just let Sakura have her fun." Sai said.

Ino huffed in frustration but continued to watch the scene unfold. Meanwhile, Sakura danced, the music blurring the edges of her consciousness as she tried to escape the thoughts that haunted her. The stranger continued to dance with her, his hands occasionally wandering to places they shouldn't.

As the tempo of the music increased, so did Sakura's disorientation. She felt a hand on her lower back, guiding her towards a quieter corner. The stranger's intentions became more evident, and Sakura's senses started to kick in.

Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared beside her, placing a protective arm around Sakura. It was Sai, his expression stern as he addressed the stranger.

"Enough is enough. She's not interested," Sai stated firmly, his gaze unyielding.

"She danced with me. I'm sure she's interested." The stranger arrogantly refuted.

"She won't be. She's my wife." Sai lied and carefully grabbed his teammate from the clutches of the stranger.

The stranger looked surprised and somewhat intimidated by Sai's sudden appearance. Ino joined the scene, her eyes narrowed at the unwelcome intruder.

"Your wife? Since when?" the stranger questioned, trying to challenge Sai.

"Since now. Back off," Sai asserted, his grip on Sakura firm but protective.

Sakura, in her slightly intoxicated state, leaned into Sai, appreciating the rescue. The stranger hesitated for a moment, then decided it wasn't worth the trouble. With a dismissive snort, he walked away, leaving the trio alone.

Ino crossed her arms, shooting a disapproving glare at Sakura. "What were you thinking, Forehead? Dancing with a stranger like that?"

Sakura rolled her eyes, still swaying a bit. "I needed to forget, okay? It's not a big deal."

Sai sighed, "Sakura, I don't know what's happening, but Kakashi-sempai would have killed that man if he knew that you were dancing with him like that."

"Kakashi is my problem, and I'm sure that he won't do that!" Sakura yelled. "He won't even care. I bet that even if I sleep with that man, he won't bat an eye."

Ino and Sai exchanged a worried glance, sensing Sakura's underlying turmoil. In her inebriated state, emotions were running high, and the recent conversation about marriage had left her vulnerable.

"Sakura, let's get you home," Ino suggested, her concern evident.

"I don't want to go home. Kakashi is probably there," Sakura replied, her words laced with frustration, she walked towards their table and continued her drinking spree.

Sai intervened, "You live with him, of course, he will be there. I would have thought that you would want him there than thinking about where he was if he didn't come home."

Sakura snorted. "I know where he would be when he does that. Probably with his wife."

Ino grabbed Sakura's shoulders as she said that. "Wife?" she asked. "What do you mean wife? You've been with him for three years and he has not married you yet."

Sakura hiccupped and gripped Ino just as hard. Her vision blurring, "Sorry. Not wife. Ex-wife." she clarified. "Did you know that the Great Copy Nin was married before?" she grinned at her best friend. "I found out earlier and when I checked the marriage records, he was once married to... Mitarashi Anko." She informed her, then fat tears started to escape from her eye. "That is why he doesn't want to marry me. He said his first marriage was bad. And he doesn't want to chance it now. I'm never going to get married."

Ino and Sai exchanged shocked glances, realizing the weight of the information Sakura just revealed. Sakura, in her intoxicated state, continued to express her emotions.

"I'm never going to get married," she repeated, her voice breaking. "He doesn't want it. I thought... I thought we had something special." she cried harder. "It hurts, Ino. I've put my all in a relationship that wasn't going to get any further." She turned to Sai. "Thank you for making my best friend happy, Sai. If I can't have that happiness, at least my best friend had."

"Sakura, it's okay. We'll figure this out. Let's get you home first," Ino reassured her.

Sai nodded, his expression serious. "Sakura, you need to talk to Kakashi-sempai about this when you're sober.

"I don't want to go home." Sakura protested. "It hurts so much, Ino." she pleaded. "Don't make me go home to him."

"We can't leave you here." Ino stated. "You're so beautiful that others are bound to notice you. If Sai had not intervened earlier, Kami's knows what would have happened. You need to go home."

"I'll send Kakashi-sempai a message." Sai whispered to his wife.

Ino nodded at Sai's suggestion. "That's a good idea. Let's inform Kakashi and get Sakura home safely."

Sai quickly scribbled a message in a scroll and had it delivered by one of his ink animals. The message reached Kakashi swiftly, and he read Sai's words with a growing sense of concern. Quickly excusing himself from the gathering he was attending, Kakashi made his way to the bar.

Kakashi arrived at the bar and immediately noticed Sakura in her distressed state. Ino and Sai stood by her side, both looking concerned. He approached them, his grey eyes narrowing in worry.

"What happened?" Kakashi asked, his voice laced with concern as he glanced at Sakura.

Ino crossed her arms, shooting him a disapproving look. "You happened. You came barging into her world only to know that you're never going to marry her."

Kakashi's eye widened at Ino's accusatory words. He looked at Sakura, who was visibly upset, tears streaming down her face. Guilt and concern etched across his face as he tried to comprehend the situation.

"Sakura," he began, reaching out tentatively, "what happened? Why are you upset?"

Sakura pushed his hand away, a mixture of anger and sorrow in her eyes. "Don't act like you don't know, Kakashi. You tell me you've been married before and then I'll find out that it was Anko. I don't want any part of you."

Kakashi's heart sank at Sakura's words. He hadn't anticipated that his past would have such a profound impact on her, especially when it came to the topic of marriage. He glanced at Ino and Sai, realizing that the conversation he had with Sakura earlier had unleashed a storm of emotions.

"Sakura, I didn't mean to hurt you," Kakashi said, his voice filled with regret. "I should have been more honest with you from the beginning."

Ino snorted, clearly unimpressed. "Honest? Kakashi, you should have told her about your past. She deserves to know."

Sakura wiped away her tears, then stood up. "I don't even want to talk to you." She said to Kakashi, then she turned to Ino. "Give me that." She grabbed the bottle from Ino's hand and chug everything in one go.

As Sakura finished the last drop of the bottle, she handed it back to Ino with a determined look. The alcohol, combined with her emotional turmoil, seemed to fuel her boldness.

"I don't need you, Kakashi. I don't need anyone," Sakura declared, her words slightly slurred. "I'll find someone who actually wants to be with me." She stood up, slightly swaying, and stalked towards the dance floor. And like what she did before, she started dancing and she began gaining attention.

As Sakura danced, the onlookers were captivated by her uninhibited movements. The combination of the dim lighting, the pulsating music, and Sakura's fiery energy drew people's attention. Some joined her on the dance floor, while others watched from a distance.

Kakashi, Ino, and Sai exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to handle the situation. Kakashi felt a heavy weight of regret and guilt, realizing the impact of his silence on Sakura's emotions. Ino shot Kakashi a stern look before following Sakura onto the dance floor.

"Sakura, you've had enough. Let's get you home," Ino insisted, trying to reach out to her.

Sakura twirled away, evading Ino's grasp, and continued dancing. "No, I don't want to go home. I don't want to go back to him," she slurred, her words fueled by both alcohol and raw emotions. She bumped into someone, and the person steadied her.

"Careful there." A man smiled at her.

Sakura turned and laced her arms in his neck. "Hello, handsome." she slurred. "You with anyone?"

"No, I'm here alone." he answered. "Though, maybe you want to change that."

Sakura leaned into this new stranger's embrace. "I would really like that."

Ino and Sai exchanged alarmed glances as they watched Sakura get closer to the stranger. Ino hurriedly approached them, her expression stern.

"Hey, buddy, hands off. She's not in the right state of mind," Ino warned the stranger.

The man chuckled, looking unfazed. "Come on, we're just having some fun. She seems to be enjoying herself."

Ino crossed her arms, her protective instincts kicking in. "No means no. Leave her alone."

Sakura, caught in the haze of alcohol and emotions, seemed oblivious to the confrontation. She continued to dance with the stranger, a distant look in her eyes.

Kakashi, feeling a surge of responsibility and regret, stepped forward. "Ino, let me handle this."

Ino shot Kakashi a disapproving look. "You've done enough handling for one night. Maybe it's time to let her have some fun without your interference."

Kakashi's gaze hardened, and he spoke with a firm resolve. "This isn't about me. It's about Sakura's well-being. I won't let her make decisions she might regret later."

Ino sighed, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Fine, but be careful."

Kakashi approached Sakura and the stranger, his presence commanding attention. The stranger eyed Kakashi warily as he noticed the stern expression on the older ninja's face.

"Sakura," Kakashi called, his voice cutting through the music.

Sakura turned to him, her eyes slightly unfocused. "What do you want?" she slurred.

"Let's get you home," Kakashi said, reaching out to guide her away from the stranger.

Sakura, however, resisted. "I don't want to go home with you. I want to stay here."

The stranger, sensing the tension, stepped back. "I think she wants to stay, man. No need to cause trouble."

Kakashi's patience was wearing thin, but he maintained his composure. "Sakura, please. Let me take you home. We can talk there."

Sakura glared at him, a mix of anger and sadness in her eyes. "I don't want to talk to you. I want to forget everything."

Kakashi sighed, realizing that arguing with Sakura in her current state wouldn't lead anywhere. He turned to the stranger. "Keep an eye on her. Make sure she's safe. I'll be back."

With that, Kakashi left the dance floor, and the stranger looked at the pink-haired woman in his arms. "Hey, beautiful, I think there's a lot of people interfering on our fun. We can go to my place if you want?"

The stranger's suggestion was met with a slight nod from Sakura. In her intoxicated state, she sought a temporary escape from the emotional turmoil that had enveloped her. The man, feeling victorious, guided Sakura towards the exit.

Sakura in her inebriated state leaned into the man's touch and let herself be guided outside. Leaving her friends behind.

"They called you Sakura, right?" The man asked.

"Yes, my name's Sakura."

"Well, I'm Yuki. Never saw you in the bar before. Guess I'm lucky that I was the one you bumped into."

Sakura just smiled at the flirty man she's walking with. All of the painful thoughts quieted down. It was like her whole system is shutting down. She wasn't able to notice that the man is leading her to a dark alley.

The dark alley seemed to swallow Sakura and Yuki as they ventured further away from the lively atmosphere of the bar. Unbeknownst to Sakura, the danger of the situation escalated with each step. Yuki's initial charm morphed into a sinister intent as the shadows enveloped them.

As Sakura and Yuki reached a secluded part of the dark alley, Yuki's demeanor shifted further. He gripped Sakura's arm with a force that made her wince, and a malicious glint appeared in his eyes.

"Now, sweetheart, you're going to have some real fun," Yuki sneered, his intentions becoming increasingly sinister.

Sakura, still lost in her intoxicated haze, began to sense the shift in the atmosphere. Fear crept into her consciousness, cutting through the fog of alcohol. She tried to pull away from Yuki's grasp, her instincts telling her that something was very wrong.

Sakura's attempts to break free only seemed to amuse Yuki further. His grip tightened, and a predatory smirk played on his lips.

"Where do you think you're going, sweetheart? The fun is just about to begin," Yuki sneered, his malicious intent unmistakable.

Sakura's heart raced as the realization of the danger she was in started to pierce through the fog of alcohol. Panic set in, and she desperately sought a way out of the threatening situation.

"Please, let me go." Sakura said, her words slurring and her movements sluggish. "Please."

The atmosphere in the dark alley became increasingly tense as Sakura pleaded with Yuki to release her. Yuki, however, remained unmoved by her pleas, reveling in the power he held over her.

He leaned in to kiss her as he groped her petite frame. He reveled at the cries that Sakura lets out, and he can feel himself growing harder by the second. "You know I really love those women who beg. Beg for me, Sakura." Yuki whispered as he nipped Sakura's earlobe.

"Let me go, Yuki, please." Sakura struggled in the man's hold that she can't break. "Please, just let me go back to my friends."

"But you chose me earlier, right?" Yuki gloated. "They asked you to come to them, but you chose me. You even turned away the silver-haired man who looks at you so lovingly."

Sakura's mind, clouded by alcohol and confusion, struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation. She felt trapped, helpless, and a deep sense of regret washed over her. The pain of her emotional turmoil was now compounded by the physical threat Yuki posed.

As Yuki continued his assault, Sakura's thoughts raced. In her desperate attempt to find a way out, she summoned her chakra, hoping to muster enough strength to break free. However, the alcohol in her system and the fear coursing through her veins hindered her abilities.

Yuki, noticing Sakura's feeble resistance, chuckled darkly. "You can try all you want, sweetheart. No one is coming to save you here." He gripped her waist tightly as he bit the exposed flesh of her neck. Sakura just whimpered as she felt his wandering hands groping her chest.

Just as Yuki was about to remove the buttons of her top, a sudden surge of chakra disrupted the tense atmosphere in the dark alley. A gust of wind swept through, and Sakura felt the pressure on her lessen. In the blink of an eye, Yuki was forcefully thrown back, releasing his hold on her.

Sakura stumbled backward, her gaze widening as she saw a familiar figure standing between her and Yuki. It was Kakashi, his normally calm demeanor replaced by an intense rage.

Kakashi's eyes glowed with a fierce determination as he faced Yuki, the weight of his fury palpable in the air. Yuki, recovering from the unexpected attack, glared at Kakashi with a mix of surprise and defiance.

"You picked the wrong person to mess with," Kakashi growled, his voice low and menacing.

Yuki, now realizing the gravity of the situation, tried to summon his own chakra, but fear started to creep into his eyes. The experienced ninja, known as the Copy Ninja, was not someone to be taken lightly.

"Who the hell are you?" Yuki stammered, his bravado faltering.

Kakashi stepped forward, his movements fluid and calculated. "Someone who doesn't tolerate scum preying on the vulnerable. Now, leave before I make you regret your choices."

Sakura, still disoriented from the alcohol and the traumatic encounter, watched as Kakashi confronted Yuki. The fear that had gripped her started to dissipate, replaced by a sense of relief and gratitude. She knew that Kakashi had intervened to protect her, and a mix of emotions swirled within her.

Yuki, sensing the danger he was in, decided that it was wise to retreat. With a final, venomous glare at Kakashi, he stumbled backward and disappeared into the shadows of the dark alley.

Kakashi turned his attention to Sakura, his gaze softening with concern. He approached her cautiously, mindful of her fragile state.

"Sakura, are you okay?" Kakashi asked, his voice gentle.

Sakura nodded, her eyes welling up with tears. "Thank you, Kakashi. I... I didn't know what to do."

Kakashi, without a word, enveloped Sakura in a protective embrace. He could feel her trembling against him, and the weight of his earlier revelations and their impact on her became even more apparent.

"I'm here, Sakura. I've got you," Kakashi reassured her, holding her close.

Ino and Sai, who had followed Kakashi to the alley, watched the scene unfold with a mix of relief and concern.

"I'm taking her home, Ino." Kakashi assured the blond woman.

Ino nodded, still visibly upset but grateful that Kakashi had intervened. "Make sure she's okay. We'll talk about everything later."

Kakashi acknowledged Ino with a nod and gently guided Sakura away from the dark alley. As they walked through the night, Kakashi supported Sakura, who leaned on him for both physical and emotional support.

Once they reached their shared home, Kakashi helped Sakura inside and settled her on the couch. He fetched a glass of water and sat beside her, waiting for her to regain some composure.

"He..." Sakura started, tears started to form in her eyes. "He touched me. He groped my breasts; I can't get him off of me."

Kakashi's gaze hardened, anger simmering beneath the surface. He reached out, gently wiping away the tears from Sakura's cheeks. "I'm sorry, Sakura. I should have been there earlier." He made a move to embrace her but froze when he saw something in her neck. He swept the hair concealing the view from him, and saw a very red, angry mark on her neck.

"He bit you?" Kakashi asked.

Sakura nodded, her expression a mix of pain and vulnerability. "Yes, he bit me. It hurt, Kakashi."

Kakashi's jaw clenched as he fought to contain his anger. He gently traced the mark on Sakura's neck with his fingers, his touch tender yet filled with a silent promise.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from that," Kakashi murmured, his voice edged with regret. "No one should ever make you feel unsafe like that."

Sakura leaned into Kakashi's touch, seeking comfort in his presence. "Thank you for saving me, Kakashi. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come."

Kakashi sighed, realizing the impact of the events on Sakura's emotional well-being. "Sakura, we need to talk. About everything."

"Not now, Kakashi, please." Sakura pleaded. "I just want to be held."

Kakashi looked at her with soft gaze. He held her hands in his and sighed. "Sakura, I know that you're feeling overwhelmed right now. But if we don't talk about our issues now, our relationship will suffer more." he reasoned. "I can make you anything if that will help, but we have to have this conversation now."

Sakura, still emotionally fragile and physically shaken, nodded hesitantly. She knew that avoiding the conversation wouldn't make the pain and confusion go away. With a deep breath, she looked at Kakashi and whispered, "Okay, let's talk."

Kakashi nodded and released her hands. He went to the kitchen to prepare some tea, giving Sakura a moment to collect her thoughts. As he returned with two cups of tea, he sat down beside her, and they faced each other.

"Sakura," Kakashi began, his voice gentle, "I will start from the very start." he promised. He took a deep breath. "I... I was a child prodigy, graduated in the academy at five. Chuunin at six, jonin at twelve. My father died when I was four, he killed himself." He took another deep breath and looked at his hands. "I was 13 when I started in ANBU."

Sakura listened intently as Kakashi shared the painful details of his past. The weight of his revelations began to settle in her heart, and she could sense the deep scars that marked his journey.

"I was 13 when I led my first team, Team 7," Kakashi continued. "It consisted of Obito Uchiha, a close friend who sacrificed himself for me, and Rin Nohara, who later died during a mission. Losing them left me with a profound sense of guilt and loneliness."

Sakura observed Kakashi's visible struggle with the memories, realizing that the man before her had carried burdens far beyond what she could have imagined.

"After the loss of my team, I became more distant, emotionally detached. I believed it was the only way to survive in this world," Kakashi confessed. "I wore a mask, figuratively and literally, to hide my emotions and protect myself from further pain."

Sakura nodded, absorbing the depth of Kakashi's vulnerability. She could see the toll his past had taken on him, and a newfound empathy stirred within her.

"When I told you about my past marriage earlier, I wasn't trying to keep secrets from you. I just... didn't know how to share everything," Kakashi admitted, his gaze fixed on his tea. "My marriage to Anko started as a mission, I was 18. When we were in one, she was kidnapped. I was able to get her back, but she was never the same. She blamed me for her capture. I blamed myself too. We annulled the marriage six months after we got married."

Sakura listened quietly, the pieces of Kakashi's past falling into place. The weight of his experiences, the loss, the guilt—it all painted a picture of a man who had faced more than his fair share of darkness.

"We never got along. But we are shinobis, our personal lives should not interfere in the mission. So, whenever they partnered us, it wasn't a big deal. Until we just forgot about it. It was six insignificant months of our lives. We laughed at it now." he explained. "It's not an excuse I know. But that marriage just proved to me one thing, everyone I let in faces or would face a tragic end. And I don't want that fate for you." Kakashi paused, his gaze meeting Sakura's. "I've been trying to protect myself from forming deep connections because I've lost so much. But without even meaning so, I fell in love with you, so hard that I cannot see myself without you. But even so, I want to protect you from the curse that seemed to follow me. I didn't know that I was hurting you in the process."

Sakura, her eyes filled with a mixture of understanding and compassion, reached out to gently cup Kakashi's face. "Kakashi, you don't have to carry this burden alone. I wish you had trusted me enough to share all of this earlier. We're a team, aren't we? We face challenges together."

Kakashi closed his eye, leaning into Sakura's touch. Her words resonated with him, offering a glimmer of solace in the midst of his internal turmoil.

"I'm sorry for not trusting you enough," Kakashi admitted, his voice tinged with regret. "I didn't want to burden you with my past. I thought it was better to keep you safe by keeping you at a distance."

Sakura smiled gently, wiping away a tear that had escaped from Kakashi's eye. "You don't have to protect me from everything, Kakashi. I can handle it. We can handle it together."

Kakashi sighed, a weight lifted from his shoulders as he realized the truth in Sakura's words. He had pushed her away, thinking he was shielding her, but in doing so, he had caused her pain.

"When I told you that I marriage didn't cross my mind, it wasn't because I don't want to marry you. It's because I don't want to solidify our bond that will cause you harm. And we were happy the way things were. I don;t want to complicate it." he told her honestly, "I just didn't realize that you would need to be in danger first before I can get my act together."

"Is that the only reason, Kakashi?" Sakura asked, insecurity lacing her voice.

"No, Sakura," Kakashi replied, his gaze sincere. "I also feared that my past would cast a shadow over our relationship, that you would look at me differently. Knowing that before you, I was a married man. But Sakura I promise, we were done and over with before I even turned 19. I am a single man before I met you and until you agreed to be with me."

"So, I'm the only one?" Sakura asked again. "There's nothing between Anko and you now? Even during the month-long missions?"

Kakashi took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding. "Sakura, I want you to understand that there is absolutely nothing between Anko and me now. We are colleagues and nothing more. During our missions, there's no romantic involvement. It's strictly professional. I am committed to you, and I want to make that clear."

Sakura bit her lip, contemplating whether she should ask or not. Kakashi lightly brushed his thumb over her lip, trying to make her release it. "Is something wrong?" Kakashi asked.

"I... I just want to know why you can't marry me." Sakura said.

"It's not that I can't." Kakashi clarified. "Legally, there is nothing that's stopping me from it. I'm a single man, you're an adult."

"But?" Sakura prompted.

"But I won't because I saw how people die just because they have some sort of connection with me." Kakashi admitted. "I know I said that I love you, that I cared for you. All of that is true. I love you so much that I want to give you all the things that you want. But I can't."

Sakura took a moment to absorb Kakashi's words, her heart heavy with the weight of his internal conflict. Then, she nodded. "Okay. I understand."

"Sakura?"

"I won't leave, if that's what you are worried about." Sakura reassured him. "I won't force you to marry me. We'll continue as we were before all this. I'd rather have you with me without the legality than lose you. Just... just stay with me, no matter what happens."

Kakashi looked at Sakura, his heart torn between gratitude and guilt. He recognized the depth of Sakura's understanding and the sacrifice she was willing to make for the sake of their relationship.

"Sakura," Kakashi began, his voice filled with emotion, "thank you for understanding. I don't want to lose you either. I just... I want to protect you from the pain that might come with being with me."

Sakura smiled softly, her eyes reflecting a profound sense of affection. "Kakashi, we've faced challenges together, and we'll continue to do so. I love you, and that includes accepting the parts of you that come with pain and darkness."

Kakashi nodded, a mixture of relief and gratitude washing over him. In that moment, he felt a renewed sense of connection with Sakura, a bond that transcended legalities and societal norms.

"Let's face whatever comes our way, together," Sakura whispered, leaning in to place a gentle kiss on Kakashi's lips.

Kakashi returned the kiss, his heart swelling with love and appreciation for the woman who had chosen to stand by him. As they held each other, the weight of their shared struggles seemed to lift, replaced by a profound sense of unity.
