Ereinion Gil-galad spreads word about the Yokai throughout Elvendom, and the Elves welcome them with open arms. The Yokai incorporate themselves into Elvish society, and accept Elvish customs and beliefs as their own. They have also been granted the immortality of Elves because they so resemble Elves in Grace and Goodness despite them being beings of darkness. Kagome plants the seed her father gave her in the Garden in Mithlond, and hopes that the Tree of Ages that she just planted will not have to fulfill it's purpose. Kagome and her husband have pledged themselves to the service of High King Gil-galad, and swore that they would fight beside their king if they should ever go to war. When the Tree of Ages planted in Mithlond matures Kagome can often be found sitting in the branches talking with her father, or in the training grounds training to keep her skills sharp. When she is doing neither of those things Kagome is either in the library learning all she can from the Lore Master Elrond, or with her husband enjoying the peace there is to be found in Mithlond. Life goes on like this until the year 3429 when Sauron shows himself to the free peoples, and war breaks out once more. After years of siege and battle the final battle takes place, and Gil-galad is burned by Sauron's fire, but when Kagome sees her King and friend lieing there on the ground barely alive she unbuckles Avalon from her belt, and secures it to his person staving off death and causing his injuries to begin healing. What Kagome did not think about was that her own injuries were grave, and in need of healing as well this causes Kagome to sink to her knees.
Isildur has cut the Ring from Sauron's finger, and the battle is won even though Isildur refused to destroy it. Kagome and Gil-galad have been taken to healing tents to recover, and Elrond as well as the other healers are surprised by how well their King is healing. When he was first brought to the tent they tried to remove the scabbard, but this caused Kagome great distress so they decided against that. Now The High King is healed enough that he could wake up any time, and when he does he looks around with relief that the war is over. Ereinion looks around and sees Kagome badly injured on a cot next to him, and tries to remove the scabbard to give it back to her so her injuries will heal faster. At this action Kagome wakes up, and says.
"Ereinion my friend please don't do that. Please allow your injuries to heal before returning Avalon to me." Kagome
Ereinion sighs, and says.
"Very well Kagome, but I will be returning Avalon to you the instant my injuries are healed." Ereinion
"I would expect nothing less from you." Kagome
With that said Elrond puts Kagome into a healing sleep to speed along her recovery while also eyeing the scabbard that is apparently responsible for healing his King's injuries.
As soon as Ereinion's injuries are healed he gives Avalon back to Kagome, and Elrond is surprised once more at just how useful Avalon really is. Kagome's injuries have completely healed by the time they get back to Mithlond. When they get back life continues on like it had before until Elrond brings a young Yokai to Mithlond. Kagome recognizes her as soon as she sees her, and says.
"Kanna I'm so happy to see you again. What happened to bring you here?" Kagome
"I'm happy to see you again as well, and as for how I got here well..." Kanna
Kanna goes on to tell Kagome about being adopted by Bruce Wayne, and all about her life in Gotham. Kagome notices the utility belt around Kanna's waist, and Kanna shows her the Bat-a-rangs she inherited from her father, because that is indeed what Bruce Wayne is to her. Kagome helps Kanna settle into a life in Mithlond, and then goes to the Tree of Ages that is growing in the garden to talk to her father about everything that has been going on. While this is going on Elrond Establishes Imladris near the Misty Mountains and the Bruinen river. The defeat of Sauron ended the Second Age, and began the Third Age of Arda. As the Third Age is passing Ereinion has not forgotten about the ring, but he realizes that it is wisest to allow things to happen as they will.
While this has been happening Ereinion and Kanna have been spending time together, and now they are courting with the intention of getting married. Cirdan looks on, and sees that his King is very happy in the presence of this female Yokai. Cirdan sends a letter to Elrond telling him of all that has been happening. Elrond sends his congratulations to Cirdan for Ereinion's engagement. A year passes and Ereinion sends Elrond an invitation to his wedding. Elrond travels from Imladris to Mithlond arriving in Mithlond with enough time before the wedding feast that he can spend time getting to know Kanna. In the time before the wedding feast Elrond takes her measure, and finds Kanna to be an excellent match for the King in both intelligence and virtue. Elrond sees how much they love each other after only a single year of courtship, and rejoices at this glad that his King and friend has finally found someone that makes him happy. The Wedding Feast is enjoyed by all, and the couple consummate their union binding them together in the sight of Iluvatar. Halfway through the night Kanna leaves their bedroom to find a suitable place to lay her eggs changing into her full Yokai form when she is successful. Kanna lays her eggs in egg-sacs, and goes to sleep waiting for Ereinion to come find her.
The next morning Ereinion wakes up to find his wife gone, and goes looking for her following the constant tug of their bond. After much walking Ereinion finds Kanna who is a spider sleeping in an empty storage room. Ereinion walks up to Kanna and puts his hand on her leg gently stroking it until Kanna begins to stir. Ereinion doubles his efforts saying.
"Kanna it's time to wake up." Ereinion
Kanna wakes up, and says.
"Ereinion you are here. I have been waiting for you." Kanna
"Why are you here instead of in bed?" Ereinion
"I needed to lay the eggs you fertilized last night." Kanna
Ereinion smirks at the memory of last night, but when he looks around he pales at the sheer amount of children he and Kanna have created. Ereinion composes himself, and says.
"I will go get you some breakfast." Ereinion
"I'll be waiting." Kanna
Ereinion walks out of the storage room, and towards the Kitchen when he is intercepted by Elrond who says.
"Good morning my friend. Where are you going if I may ask?" Elrond
"To get breakfast for Kanna and myself." Ereinion
Elrond smirks, and walks away leaving Ereinion to his task.
Kanna eats her fill, and then goes to check on her eggs to make sure that nothing is wrong. Ereinion comes with her, and sees that the babies in those eggs switch between elfling and spider-ling. Ereinion determines that they will not be having anymore elflings for the next century. After an acceptable amount of time life returns to normal in Mithlond. The peace of Mithlond and Lindon in general continues for many years until one day Kanna is looking in her mirror when she sees Riana the elleth Thranduil has fallen in love with about to leave the forest in shame to go to Lothlorien. Kanna leaves Mithlond, and gets to Riana's side just as they are being attacked by Orcs. Riana pushes her elfling into the tree telling her to stay there until she tells her to come down and gets ready to fight the Orcs, but before she has a chance to Kanna steps in between them, and holds her mirror out deflecting any attack that comes their way from all sides. Riana is shocked that someone so powerful would try so hard to protect her when the ellon she loves couldn't do something as simple acknowledge her publicly. This continues for a while until Riana looks over her rescuers shoulder, and sees Thranduil ridding in their direction looking quite determined. Thranduil and his guards kill all the Orcs, and he walks over to them with a soft look on his face that Riana had only seen when he spent time with her. Kanna lowers her mirror, and steps aside allowing Thranduil access to Riana. Thranduil gathers Riana into a hug, and says.
"Riana I am so sorry that I hurt you I was to blinded by pride to see how much I love you, and how incomplete my life is without you in it. If you wish it I would be happy to have you as my wife in front of the whole Kingdom and beyond." Thranduil
Tears fill Riana's eyes, and she says.
"Yes Thranduil I will gladly be your wife. Would you like to meet your daughter now?" Riana
"I would like that." Thranduil
Riana steps out Thranduil's arms, walks over to the tree, and says.
"Tauriel you can come down now." Riana
Tauriel climbs down from the tree, and runs to her mother saying.
"Naneth I was so scared, but I stayed hidden in the tree just like you said." Tauriel
"I am so proud of you for that. Your adar has come to rescue us. Would you like to meet him?" Riana
"Yes Naneth I would like to." Tauriel
Riana takes Tauriel's hand, and walks over to Thranduil saying
"Thranduil meet our daughter Tauriel. Tauriel this is your father." Riana
Tauriel runs up to her father, and throws herself into his arms saying.
"I'm so happy to meet you adar, and I don't want to leave you." Tauriel
"And you won't have to for a very long time." Thranduil
Tauriel smiles, and buries her head in his shoulder. Thranduil picks her up, and gets onto his horse with Tauriel sitting in front of him.
When they get back to the palace Thranduil asks a maid to take Riana to a room in the Royal Wing, and when they have gone Thranduil goes to find Legolas with Tauriel accompanying him. When they find him Thranduil says.
"Legolas come here please." Thranduil
Legolas walks over, and says.
"Father." Legolas
"Legolas meet your new little sister Tauriel. Tauriel this is your older brother Legolas." Thranduil
Tauriel approaches Legolas, and says.
"I am happy to meet you big brother Legolas." Tauriel
"As I am to meet you little sister Tauriel." Legolas
Legolas smirks playfully at his sister who giggles, and wraps her arms around his neck refusing to let go. Legolas picks Tauriel up, and says to his father.
"You remarried father?" Legolas
"Yes I did, however there are some things concerning Riana that need to be taken care of to make it official. So I will leave you two to get acquainted, and we will speak more later." Thranduil
Legolas nods, and Thranduil leaves his children to bond happy that the Queen of the Noldor was there to save his beloved. After Thranduil is gone Legolas sits Tauriel down out of the way while he finishes his training, and as soon as he finishes Legolas takes Tauriel to the library to begin tutoring her in the arts, history, and culture of their people. Legolas takes charge of Tauriel's academic instruction, and mentally picks out the best Sindarin Lady to see to Tauriel's other lessons. Legolas selects Lady Amare, because she possesses no predjudas against those with Silvan blood, but she also knows how to teach proper etiquette without destroying the students view of themselves.
Legolas and Tauriel are walking down the hall to the head healers office, and when they get there Legolas pokes his head into her office, and says.
"Lady Amare may I have a moment of your time?" Legolas
"You may. Come in, and have a seat." Amare
Legolas and Tauriel walk into the room, and Legolas sits down in a chair with Tauriel in his lap. Amare looks at her friend, and says.
"What can I do for you my friend?" Amare
"Lady Amare this is my little sister Tauriel. I would like it if you tutored Tauriel in etiquette, sewing, and anything else an elleth needs to learn." Legolas
"I didn't know the King got remarried?" Amare
"Neither did I until today." Legolas
"I see. What about academics?" Amare
"I will see to that personally." Legolas
"What about the Royal tutors? Can they not handle some of Tauriel's education? It is their job after all." Amare
"They are to demeaning towards anyone with even a drop of Silvan blood to be trusted with this task." Legolas
Amare sighs, and says.
"You are worried because Tauriel has significantly more than a drop of Silvan blood doesn't she?" Amare
"Tauriel's mother is a Silvan elf, and therefore I absolutely refuse to entrust her education to those bigoted fools." Legolas
"Alright Legolas together we will educate your sister to the best of our abilities, but you will have tell your father what you told me when he asks what is going on." Amare
"I understand. Where do we start?" Legolas
"I must put another healer to be in charge of the Healing Halls when I am unavailable. I will return in a moment." Amare
Amare leaves, and when she returns she says.
"Now we have to talk about scheduling. What responsibilities do you have in the day?" Amare
"Well I have morning, midday, and evening patrol with the guard as well as two training sessions in between." Legolas
"While you are on patrol Tauriel will have lessons with me, and when you get back after refreshing yourself from patrol Tauriel will have academics in the library with you." Amare
"Lady Amare can I go with Legolas to the training grounds between academic lessons?" Tauriel
"Why would you want to do that sweetheart?" Amare
"I want to watch big brother training. It is so fascinating." Tauriel
"Alright, but you must come with me to the Healing Halls for two of the three patrol sessions." Amare
"What happens in the Healing Halls?" Tauriel
"We heal injured people making all their hurts go away." Amare
"That sounds very interesting as well." Tauriel
Legolas smiles at this pleased with the balanced interests Tauriel has. With the decisions made Legolas and Tauriel leave the office determining that lessons will begin the following day.
Thranduil has done all that he can Riana is accepted as his wife, but they will not accept Riana as their Queen for many still remember their great love for Calathiel who was burned up in Dragon fire destroying her completely. Thranduil has heard of his son and head healer taking charge of Tauriel's education. Thranduil has no problem with this as it will give the siblings a chance to bond that they might not have otherwise had. Thranduil also sees how insulted the Royal Tutors are by this development, but knows that Legolas definitely has a good reason for handling the situation as he has done. Thranduil makes sure that he spends meal times with his family, and is quite pleased with the relationship his children are building. Thranduil watches Riana and Legolas get to know one another, and is equally pleased with how well they are getting along as well. Thranduil knows that his family will only grow closer with time, and he is happy to be feeling love in his heart instead of the debilitating pain that was his constant companion before. When the time of the Elves is over Thranduil knows that his folk will sail into the West in large numbers, and when all the elves under his protection have left either to the West or simply to another settlement Thranduil will take his family to the Grey Havens then take a ship to Valinor. Thranduil will do all that he can to keep Riana safe, because Thranduil never again wishes to experience the pain that accompanies losing the elleth that he loves. Even through the peace and tranquility of his Kingdom Thranduil can feel his many long years, and he knows that the longing for Valinor will come eventually, and when it does Thranduil will heed it's call once the mentioned conditions have been met. Thranduil smiles once more at his happy family before continuing to enjoy his meal content with how his life is at the moment.
