Chapter 3: The Best Birthday Present
Blue Tagg: You're right
Ainmals1: I have done something like this before. And thanks
Two months later
Gabby woke up in her bed, feeling very happy. Today was her 13th birthday. She then leapt out of bed, and hurried over to her vanity. She looked at herself in the mirror, and smiled.
"I'm officially 13-years-old." she told herself.
Carina then hurried over to Gabby, and barked at her happily. It was like she was saying,
"Happy Birthday, Gabby".
"Gracias, Carina. Come on, I bet my birthday breakfast will be ready soon."
The two left her bedroom, and went downstairs. Her parents and grandparents were already awake. When they saw her they all smiled and went up to her.
"Good morning, Gabby happy birthday." said Maya.
"Feliz cumpleaƱos." Alberto told her.
"Thank you, gracias."
They all gave her hugs and kisses, and then led her over to the table. Sebastian had made some delicious pancakes, and made them special for Gabby's birthday.
"Here's your birthday breakfast, Senorita Gabby." Sebastian told her.
He set the plate down in front of her. It was a plate of pancakes, but they were covered in powdered sugar, strawberries, and fudge.
"Dessert for breakfast." Gabby replied.
Soon the rest of her siblings came down for breakfast. They all wished her a happy birthday, and dug into the pancakes Sebastian cooked for them.
"So Gabby, how does it feel to be 13?" asked Carlos.
"It feels pretty good." Gabby replied.
"You say that now, hermana." Susanne joked at her.
"Now Susanna." Jorge told his oldest daughter.
"When is the fiesta going to start?" wondered Alberto.
"My friends will be here at 11:00." Gabby told him.
"And we'll get everything decorated before then." Maya told her.
After breakfast, Gabby went back to her room to get dressed. She changed into a nice purple dress with matching shoes.
"How do I look Carina?" she asked her dog.
Carina barked as if to say,
"You look great.".
Then they went back downstairs and saw that the living room was decorating with white, purple, and pink balloons, streamers, a pinata, and glittery confetti.
"How do you like it, Gabby?" asked Jorge.
"I love it. Gracias." Gabby replied.
When 11:00 came around, the doorbell rang and Maria answered the door. Inez, Estella, and Carmen were there wearing their party clothes, holding presents, and their overnight bags.
"Welcome girls, Gabriella is waiting for you." Maria invited.
The girls went inside, and saw Gabby.
"Happy birthday, Gabby." the girls told her.
"Gracias." Gabby replied.
The party turned out great. The girls tried on some of clothes Maya designed and had a little fashion show. They were cheered and applauded by Gabby's family members as they watched the girls strut.
After that, they got their lunch of tacos and lemonade. The girls gobbled them down, and then decided to watch some movies in Gabby's room.
"This party's great, Gabby." said Inez.
"Gracias, I can't wait until cake and presents."
Carina barked.
"Come on, Carina. You can join us." Carmen told.
She picked up the little dog, and got on the bed with her.
When they finished their last movie, they went downstairs for dinner. After some shredded pork, yellow rice, and black beans it was time for presents and cake. Sebastian brought out the cake on a silver platter.
It was a rectangle shaped cake, had strawberry frosting and icing, and had 13 candles on it. He set it down in front of her, and she was that written in white icing were the words, "Feliz CumpleaƱos, Gabby".
Then everyone began singing, and when they finished, Gabby blew out all the candles.
"Yay!" everyone cheered.
Then the cake was cut, and eaten.
"So Gabby, are you ready for your presents?" asked Jorge.
"Si, Papa." Gabby replied.
And with that being said, everyone then pulled out their presents for her. From her grandparents she got a new pair of dancing shoes and a new outfit to go with it. Antonio gave her a bracelet.
Susanna bought her some new headbands. Carlos bought her a simple pink t-shirt. Carmen gave her a new Chamacos poster, from Inez she received a new pair of headphones, and Estella got her a new phone case.
"Gracias, everyone I love the presents." Gabby told everyone.
"You still have one more." informed Maya.
Jorge then walked up, and handed his daughter an envelope.
"What could this be?"
She opened the envelope, and pulled out five tickets. When she looked closely, she saw they were tickets for the Chamacos upcoming concert. And not just any tickets, VIP tickets.
"(Gasps), are these for real?" she asked.
"Si." replied Maya.
"One for you and each of your friends, and one for mother. She'll be going with you." Jorge explained.
The girls were ecstatic.
"Gracias, Mama and Papa. This is best best gift."
She hugged them tightly.
After a while, the girls were in their pajamas and hanging out in Gabby's room.
"I can't believe your parents got us tickets to see the Chamacos." said Inez.
"Neither can I. They're the best." Gabby replied.
"I can't wait to see Eduardo." mentioned Carmen.
"He's like a big teddy bear."
"I'm looking forward to seeing Gabriel." told Estella.
"You know I can't wait to see Jorge." piped up Inez.
"And you all know I'm looking forward to seeing Miguel."
"It'll be the best night of our lives." sighed Carmen.
"I say we watch their latest music video." suggested Estella.
"Sounds good to me." Gabby replied.
And she used her remote control to turn on her TV, and pulled up a video of the Chamacos. As they watched the boys play their music the girls watched them with dreamy looks.
