Kanna who has been watching these events take place cancels the effect, and goes home happy with what she accomplished. Kanna's life continues on like it always has with Kanna and her husband enjoying watching their elflings grow until one day after many years have passed Kanna sees Legolas Thranduilion living a happy life with his wife in Imladris, and Kanna contents herself with watching the happy couple for the next ten years. The night before he leaves Imladris the two of them are intimate, and the next morning Legolas leaves to travel with the Dunedain. The morning after Legolas has left Kanna uses more of her power, and it is almost as if she is right there in the room. Kanna hears The Song of New Life coming from Faron, and knows that she is pregnant. Kanna spends the next year with Faron in Imladris as a shadow. As soon as Faron has recovered from giving birth Faron packs up her things to return to Erebor. Kanna goes with her, and watches as she is greeted by her cousin who welcomes her son into the family. While Dain is holding his baby cousin Faron says.

"I have come home Dain, and I am never living anywhere else again." Faron

"That's good to hear cousin. Come let's get you and this little one settled into the mountain." Dain

"Thanks Dain. Could you stay while I introduce him to the Company?" Faron

"It'll be my pleasure Faron." Dain

When Dain and Faron arrive at Faron's apartment Faron goes inside while Dain goes to tell the company of Faron's return to the mountain. Faron walks into her apartment and finds her parents things have been put in trunks in the storage room, and the place is clean and ready for her to live in. Faron takes her belongings to the room that used to belong to her parents, but is hers now then she unpacks all of her things before feeding Kiron. As soon as Kiron is fed Faron lines an empty chest in the corner next to the bed with a pillow, blankets, a sheet is next, and then lays Kiron down putting a smaller blanket on top of him. Faron leaves Kiron to nap, and goes to re-familiarize herself with the family apartment that is now hers. While Faron is looking around her apartment Faron makes herself some dinner. After dinner there is a knock on the door, and when she opens it Faron sees the Dwarves of the Company as well as Dain standing there waiting to be allowed in. Faron steps aside allowing them into her home, and everyone settles into the living room while Faron brings some refreshments.

Once everyone has their refreshments Balin smiles at Faron, and says.

"It's good to have you back Lassie." Balin

"It is so good to be home. I had ten happy years with Legolas in Rivendell, but it is time for me to live among my kith and kin once more." Faron

"And where is Legolas?" Gloin

"Traveling with the Dunedain." Faron

Before Faron has a chance to say anything more Kiron wakes from his nap, and starts crying causing Faron to go tend to him. As soon as his nappy has been changed Faron brings him into the living room, and says.

"Everyone meet Kiron Son of Faron Daughter of Thorin Son of Thrain Son of Thror." Faron

Everyone crowds around Faron eager to meet the new member of the house of Durin, and Dain walks away happy to have his family back in Erebor where they belong. After that while Gloin is holding his baby cousin he says.

"Why don't you come over for a visit tomorrow Faron? I'm sure that Barana and Gimli will be happy to see you, and to welcome Kiron into the family." Gloin

"Sounds like fun Gloin. When should we be there?" Faron

"I'll come pick you up after breakfast, and take you to my apartment, and while we are at it I'll show you around the Mountain so you will have no problem getting around Erebor." Gloin

"Alright see you then." Faron

Gloin nods, and hands Kiron to Faron before going back to enjoying the last of the refreshments.

The company visits for the rest of the evening each taking turns holding Kiron speaking softly to him helping to teach him Khazdul as is his right. As soon as Kiron falls asleep everyone goes home bidding Faron a good night. Faron tucks Kiron into his bed, and goes to sleep happy to be home at last. The next morning Faron gets up then gets ready for the day, and feeds Kiron, and then has breakfast getting Kiron ready for the day after that. Just as Faron has finished all of the preparations there is a knock on the door. Faron opens the door, and sees Gloin standing there waiting. Faron puts Kiron in the sling she got in Imladris, and follows Gloin out the door. Gloin takes them on the promised tour explaining things that need explaining, and the other Dwarrow are shocked that someone is speaking in Khazdul with an elf who isn't one of the Gwaith-ai-mir-dain until they get a good look at her and see that this is the daughter of their previous King. These Dwarves see the marriage bead in her hair, and the Gold ring upon her finger indicating that she is married. One of the more curious Dwarrowdams asks Faron about it saying.

"Where is your husband, and why is he not here with you?"?

"Legolas decided to travel with the Dunedain a year before I left Rivendell." Faron

"So he has no idea that he has a son?"?

"None, Mistress..." Faron

"Leotti at your service." Leotti

"Faron at yours." Faron

"Can I hold him?" Leotti

Faron recognizing Leotti from Ered Luin then decides that it is safe to allow this Dam to hold her precious son, and hands him carefully to the young Dam. Leotti coos at the adorable babe, and says.

"What is his name?" Leotti

"Kiron Son of Faron Daughter of Thorin Son Thrain." Faron

Leotti nods, and says.

"Kiron is so adorable. Faron do you think that I could come with you on your walk?" Leotti

Faron thinks over all she knows about the Dam in front of her, and says.

"I would like that Leotti. Shall we go?" Faron

Leotti hands Kiron back to Faron, and the two walk on next to Gloin chatting away like old friends. When they get to Gloin's house Faron and Leotti go inside while Gloin goes to work happy that Faron is starting to make a life for herself in Erebor.

Meanwhile Kagome is arriving in Ered Luin having been asked by the High King to investigate the rumor of an elf living in the Dwarven settlement. Kagome walks around the settlement until she sees a red haired elleth in the market with an infant. Kagome strikes up conversation with the elleth, and is invited over for tea so they could discuss maters privately. When they get to the elleth's house Kagome finds out that the elleth's name is Tauriel, and after she has served the tea she takes her seat, and says.

"Why are you here Kagome of Yoru?" Tauriel

"I am here to investigate the rumor of an elf living in a Dwarven settlement. Now I see that the rumors are true, and since they are I'm going to have to ask you to come back to Mithlond with me. This is not an appropriate place for an elf to be living." Kagome

"I will not! I would have lived in a Dwarf Kingdom had my husband lived, and I will continue do so even though he is dead." Tauriel

"You married a Dwarf!" Kagome

Kagome sighs, and says.

"Fine you can stay here, but you are no longer welcome in Lindon, or it's fiefdoms." Kagome

"Very well Kagome. I hope that we can still be friends regardless of this little disagreement." Tauriel

"I hope so as well Tauriel." Kagome

Tauriel and Kagome visit for a while, and then Kagome leaves the settlement. After Kagome has left Tauriel seeks out Lord Celebrimbor of the Gwaith-ai-mir-dain. When Tauriel finds Lord Celebrimbor his wife Moriel invites Tauriel to have tea with them. Tauriel arrives with her son in a sling, and once she is sitting in the living room Tauriel takes Norithil out of the sling allowing him to toddle round their feet. Tauriel then goes on to explain why she moved all the way out here at the request of her sister-in-law. Lord Celebrimbor is quite intrigued by this, and tells her that as soon as Norithil turns 33 years of age he will personally train him, and when he is an adult he will be welcomed into the Gwaith-ai-mir-dain. Tauriel breathes a sigh of relief that her son will still have an elven influence in his life other than her. During the conversation Moriel asks Tauriel a question saying.

"Tauriel do you have somewhere to live in the settlement?" Moriel

"Yes I do. I inherited my husbands childhood home, and all of his possessions." Tauriel

"Your husband must have been quite a wealthy Dwarf for you to be adorned with all that jewelry." Moriel

"I am married to Kili Son of Dis Daughter of Thrain Son Thror." Tauriel

"That would make Norithil an heir to the Throne of Erebor. I can see why Faron Daughter of Thorin wanted him to be raised among Dwarves, but also at a safe distance from the mountain until the throne of Erebor is vacant." Moriel

"Yes, and when that happens we will journey to Erebor providing that nothing happens to force us to make the journey early." Tauriel

"Should you have to make the journey early my husband and I will travel with you." Moriel

"I thank you Moriel. I must be getting home, but I am looking forward to our next visit." Tauriel

"As am I Tauriel." Moriel

Tauriel hugs Moriel, and leaves the house happy that things are going so well for them.

Kanna watches as Faron Daughter of Thorin spends the next 33 years living happily in Erebor with her son. After Kiron's birthday celebrations have ended Faron leaves Erebor to visit Bilbo, and plans to visit her sister-in-law and nephew afterwards. Kanna decides that she would like to meet this unusual elf in person, and so she meets Faron outside of Dale. After a greeting Kanna travels with Faron until she gets to Bilbo's house in the Shire, and then goes to an inn until Faron has finished visiting with her friend. When Faron's visit with Bilbo ends Kanna travels with Faron to Ered Luin, and as they are walking through the market Faron sees her sister-in-law doing the shopping, and says.

"Tauriel!" Faron

Tauriel walks up to Faron, and says.

"Faron it is so good to see you again." Tauriel

"As it is to see you Tauriel. Tauriel I would like to introduce you to my new friend Kanna Wayne. Kanna this is my sister-in-law Tauriel." Faron

"It is a pleasure to meet you Tauriel. Faron has told me many good things about you." Kanna

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Kanna. Why don't you two come over to my house for tea?" Tauriel

"That would be lovely Tauriel." Faron

"I have an errand to run before tea Faron. Why don't you take Kanna to the house?" Tauriel

"Sure, and I'll even get the tea started while I'm at it." Faron

"That would be very helpful thank you Faron." Tauriel

Tauriel goes to get Norithil from Moriel who was watching him while she was on guard duty this morning. After leaving Moriel's house Tauriel goes home, and finds Faron setting out the tea. Tauriel freshens up, and then goes to entertain her guests. Tauriel once again allows Norithil to play at their feet though Faron does spend some time holding her nephew. During the conversation Tauriel tells Kanna about Kagome's visit, but makes sure not to mention her reaction. Kanna responds by saying.

"Kagome has since relented in her views that she has never held before, and is very sorry for the way she treated you Tauriel." Kanna

"I forgive her, and I hope that one day Kagome will see that Dwarrows are good honorable people who deserve every bit as much respect as elves." Tauriel

"I agree with your view of Dwarves." Kanna

Tauriel smiles at Kanna, and the conversation turns to other things.

Half way through the visit Kanna returns to Mithlond, and then Faron begins teaching her nephew Khazdul in the morning when Tauriel is on guard duty. From these lessons Norithil learns the rule that no one outside of the Khazad may learn the secret language. When Norithil asks his aunt about why she was allowed to learn the language Faron tells him that she was counted among the Khazad when she was adopted by Thorin Son of Thrain Son of Thror. Faron remains in Ered Luin until she is certain that her nephew is fluent in Khazdul, and then returns home to Erebor promising that she will visit annually from then on. Faron keeps her promise, and has many adventures on her return journeys. Faron makes many friends during her travels including the steward of Gondor and the King of Rohan along with his entire family. Even though this is true Faron never lacks for time at home with her family and friends in the company. For this Kiron is exceedingly grateful, because his mother is the only parent that Kiron has ever known. During one of these adventures Faron helps Balin and his expedition retake Moria from the Orcs the success of which Faron reports to Dain when she returns home. Faron also meets up with Aragorn from time to time, and this makes Faron very happy because she views Aragorn as a younger brother. Faron delights in telling him tales of her nephew's life in Ered Luin also making him privy to the continued existence of the Gwaith-ai-mir-dain when Faron told Aragorn about Norithil apprenticing under Lord Celebrimbor. Aragorn wisely keeps this information to himself, because he knows that it would be bad if Norithil's existence was made known before the time is right. This is Faron's life until she takes part in another quest which will change her life greatly. Kanna stops watching Faron's life happy that things are going so well for her friend even if that will not always be so. Kanna tells her husband all about the unique elleth that she has befriended, and he is pleased that there is someone working to improve relations between elves and Dwarves.

In a while Kanna watches as the Lady Galadriel leaves Middle-Earth with the help of Gandalf, and when she gets to her destination Galadriel goes in search of the one she wishes to send to the Council of Elrond. Galadriel walks right into the house, and when Arina Tepses sees Lady Galadriel she immediately bows her head with her finger tips touching her forehead, and says.

"My Lady it has been to long since we last saw each other." Arina

"Yes it has indeed been to long since we last spoke my friend." Galadriel

Arina relaxes from formality then her father walks over to them, and says.

"Arina! Who is this that you bow your head to her?" Vlad

"This is the Lady Galadriel, and she deserves the utmost respect." Arina

"Yes I can see that Arina. You met her when you went on that trip awhile back correct?" Vlad

"Yes father." Arina

"Arina when we last spoke you told me that there comes a time when even the war weary must stand and fight in defense of all that is good and fair. I have come to tell you that the war for Middle-Earth is about to begin, and ask you if you will stand with the Free Peoples?" Galadriel

"Yes My Lady I will stand with the Free Peoples." Arina

Galadriel smiles at her friend, and Vlad interjects saying.

"If my daughter is going to fight in a war I'm coming with her." Vlad

"Very well Lord Impalor you will indeed be a great asset to the Free Peoples. A War Lord so fearsome that whole armies would turn and run at the mention of your name Vlad the Impalor." Galadriel

"How did you know that?" Vlad "It was in your thoughts, because you have chosen to stand with the Free Peoples I will speak with the reincarnation of your soul-mate. So that when you come back you will have a happy future ahead of you." Galadriel Vlad nods his head, and Galadriel goes to speak with Mina Murry like she promised while Vlad goes to speak with his son. Galadriel is able to divert Mina's heart away from Johnathan Harker, and Mina opens her heart to Vlad. Vlad tells Ingris that him and Arina are going away for awhile, and promises that he will make sure that they will return safely. Ingris hugs his father, and then goes back to running his slaughter house/butcher shop looking over at Demitri who also heard the news. All the while praying for the safety of his father and sister. Vlad returns home to gather his things in preparation for their journey. Arina also gathers her things, and once they have everything that they need including armor and weapons Lady Galadriel brings them with her to Middle-Earth along with all necessary supplies.
