Batman is watching as golden sand is flying through the air giving all it touches pleasant dreams. Batman looks for the one responsible; He traces the sand back to it's source. He sees a small golden man floating on a cloud of sand. Figuring that this is the Sandman he melts into the shadows, and appears on the roof directly behind the pudgy man. He taps the man on the shoulder, and waits to be acknowledged by the maker of dreams. The Sandman turns to him, and says in his unique way.

'Who are you?' sandman

"I am Batman Jack Frost told me that you would give me a sample of dream sand since he is my friend." Batman

Sandy thinks over this new information, and says.

'Do you have something for me to put it in?' sandman

Batman takes a test tube out of his utility belt, and hands it to the sandman. The Sandman fills up the test tube, hands it back to Batman who corks it, and returns it to his utility belt. He nods his thanks, and vanishes into the night.

When Batman gets back to his cave he begins analyzing the dream sand sample he got from the sandman. He finds the preliminary test results to be quite fascinating. With the data he has been collecting from his experiments he should be able to design weapons specifically made to destroy the monsters that are plaguing the world. Batman has been receiving reports that the monsters reform as soon as they are destroyed. So when they are destroyed by his weapons they will not be coming back. Batman knows that the permanent destruction of these beasts will draw out the Nightmare King. As soon as he is out in the open they will capture him and imprison him in the one prison on earth that he can never escape from. As soon as the weapons are finished Batman calls Wonder Woman, and says.

"Dianna do you think your mother would be willing and able to imprison Pitch Black?" Batman

"I will talk to her, and see if she is willing to imprison this horrible menace. If she agrees then he will never be able to escape from the magically reinforced prison of the Amazons." Wonder Woman

"Good get on it as soon as you can. It will do no good if we capture him, and have no prison that is secure enough to hold him." Batman

"Understood I will leave right away, and call you when I return with mothers decision." Wonder Woman

Batman nods, and terminates the call. Wonder Woman heads off immediately to do as she was bidden.

Batman goes to the infirmary to check on Jack. When he gets there he finds Jack enjoying himself with the fairy that appears to be his closest friend. Batman watches Jack recover whenever he is in his cave while he is taking a break from destroying Pitches nightmares. Batman is very pleased with how well Jack is recovering. Soon Jack will be well enough to help them find Pitch, and then after that he will have Alfred prepare a room for him in the manor. Batman is determined to make sure that Jack is never alone again even if he outlives everyone of them his line will always be there for Jack. The Justice League goes after Pitch as soon as Dianna returns with a positive answer from her mother. After much fighting The Justice League manages to capture Pitch Black, and they hand him over to Hypolita who has come personally with a contingent of guards to receive the prisoner. As soon as Pitch Black is safely locked away in the prison of the Amazons the Justice League notices that fear has greatly diminished in the world. Fear will never be completely gone, but now there is always a rational reason for that fear. All irrational fear is completely gone from the world. Life continues on as it always has with the exception of the fact that Jack now has a place that he can call home. That being said Jack is still honored to be a guardian, and he spends an acceptable amount of time hanging out with them. Jack and the other continue doing their things, but they are always vigilant encase some other enemy pops up to threaten the children. This does not stop the Guardians from enjoying their day to day life, and as the days pass settle back into the rhythm of bringing joy to children hoping that the fighting has finally ended forever. Batman continues to keep an eye on this new side of the world to make sure that they will be able to back up the Guardians if they ever need it. One thing is certain no one will ever forget when Jack Frost became a Bat, and the living Nightmare after which defeated by the Justice League.
