chapter 9: What?! You again?!
In Ripto's Arena, Ripto was trying out his new sceptre, which was powered by the power crystal he'd stolen.
"Now that is a very impressive sceptre, Ripto," said King Magnifico, "Just perfect for us to begin our reign over all of Avalar!"
Ripto was testing said sceptre out on 3 terrified sheep, but the minute he fired a fireball from his new sceptre, the 3 sheep scattered.
"Gah! Come back here, you useless animals!" he yelled, not even noticing Spyro come in behind him.
"Hey, shorty!" he called out, making Ripto and Magnifico jump. "Maybe I can help!"
"What?! You again?!" Ripto shouted.
"Oh, COME ON!" Magnifico snapped. "Can't you just leave us alone, you purple lizard?!"
"Yup." said Spyro. "If you two wanna test that power crystal, why don't you both try it on me? I'll stand still, I promise!"
Ripto thought hard. "Hmmmm..." he thought. "I like that idea!"
"So do I, Ripto," King Magnifico said evilly, "This is gonna be fun! With that pathetic lizard and his friends outta the way, Avalar is ours for the taking!"
Ripto prepared himself for the battle. "Dragon, you've just sealed your fate!"
"Prepare to die, Spyro the Dragon!" King Magnifico added.
The final battle, for the future of Avalar, now rested in Spyro's claws...
