"Yes, and zat eez all very good," snapped Fleur, "but still eet does not explain 'ow zey knew we were moving 'Arry tonight, does eet? Somebody must 'ave been careless. Somebody let slip ze date to an outsider. It is ze only explanation for zem knowing ze date but not ze 'ole plan."
(Chapter 5 – Deathly Hallows)
"I know what happened," growled Mrs Weasley. "You just said Mundungus had this damned seven Harry idea. That man has barely any brain cells from all the smoking and drinking he does. Someone planted that idea in the man's mind."
Everyone turned to face Mrs Weasley in shock.
"Molly, I - "
"Don't 'Molly' me, Arthur," she screeched. "It makes perfect sense. Alastor has been furious with the man the last couple of weeks. Clearly some here overruled him on this decision, and now he's dead because of it."
The guilt that was gnawing away at Harry evaporated. He was honestly feeling that Mad Eye's death was his fault. Now he was furious.
"WHO here overruled him?" he thundered, speaking for the first time in nearly ten minutes.
A little squeak came from Tonks. "I did." Hot tears came from her. "It's my fault he's dead."
Harry didn't want Tonks to field the guilt. She was far too miserable. Everyone knew how close she was to Mad Eye.
"Someone find Fletcher and interrogate him," said Harry. "But I have a very good idea who it was who spoke to him."
"Who?" asked everyone.
"Severus Snape," said Harry with disgust. "He was always doing things to curry favor with Voldemort while supposedly spying on him. He knows who's in the Order. We're now all named, probably tracked too."
Everyone went pale.
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE," roared Molly. "My son nearly died because of this mission. GET OUT AND DON'T COME BACK UNLESS YOU CHECK YOURSELVES FOR TRACKING SPELLS."
Everyone in the room disapparated.
Luckily no one had a tracking charm on them. Kingsley however had managed to catch up with Mundungus. Harry's assessment of Mundungus turned out to be correct. Not only was the drunken idiot being tracked, but had been tricked while drunk by Severus Snape.
Finally realising that the man was a liability, he was turned loose from the Order with several memory charms. He would still have the memory of the locket when he was next confronted.
Everyone in the Order became more efficient throughout the rest of the war.
AN: Just a little filler. The Order should have never trusted Fletcher or his ideas. People like him are only out for themselves.
