A paper boy soon tossed a newspaper over to a familiar house as Cherry and Cleo ended up in front of it.
"How are we gonna figure out where Dexter and Dee Dee live?" Cleo asked Cherry.
"That must be the place." Cherry said as she pointed at the house in front of them before she knocked on the door.
Out came a redheaded woman as she opened the door. "Yes, may I help you?" she then greeted.
"Excuse me, ma'am, I'm Cherry, and, uh... I'm going to school with Dexter and Dee Dee," Cherry began to explain casually as Cleo stood beside her feet. "I was wondering if they were ready?"
"Oh, yes, please, come right in." The redheaded woman nodded.
"Thank you, Mrs... uh... Dexter and Dee Dee's mom." Cherry replied as she came inside along with Cleo, though she was a little grumpy due to it being so early in the morning over here.
"Dee Dee?! Can you please check if your brother's ready for school?" Kathy called out to upstairs.
Dee Dee came out of her room with a small smile. "Whatya say, Mom?"
"I said, go and check if Dexter's ready for school!" "Mrs. Dexter" told her daughter.
Dee Dee soon squealed, looking excited to do that job. Cherry and Cleo soon came upstairs to see Dee Dee.
"Hello, Dee Dee." Cherry said, a bit grumpily.
"New friend?" Dee Dee asked, tilting her head.
"Yes, Dee Dee, I'm your friend, Cherry," Cherry said, trying to trick the ballerina a little to go along with the adventure. "I'm a friend of yours like Mee Mee and Lee Lee."
"Clever." Cleo whispered.
"NEW FRIEND!" Dee Dee beamed as she brought Cherry suddenly into a bone-crushing hug.
"Why does everybody wanna hug me so much?" Cherry groaned while gasping.
"Let's go see Dexter!" Dee Dee smiled to them as she soon danced over to her brother's room before gently knocking on the door.
Cherry groaned, falling from the hug in slight pain.
"Dexter, are you ready for school?" Dee Dee whispered before she smiled and put her ear to the door, but didn't hear anything.
"Must be asleep." Cherry said before she stood up, holding her back.
"Oh! There doesn't seem to be any answer! I guess I'll have to go inside!" Dee Dee shrugged before trying to open the door, but it was locked. "Ooh! The door is locked."
"Well, too bad, we tried." Cherry said as she turned away.
Dee Dee grinned as she pulled out a credit card.
"Or we could break into your brother's room like a crazy person." Cherry then said.
Dee Dee then used the card to trigger the lock and soon made it inside her brother's room. The room appeared to be empty of Dexter as they took a look inside what looked like a normal young boy's bedroom before Dee Dee ran into the secret room which was Dexter's laboratory.
"How big is Dexter's lab anyway?" Cleo asked Cherry.
"Probably bigger than Jimmy Neutron's." Cherry guessed.
Dee Dee kept skipping around until she would then find her brother, and soon she did.
"Here we go..." Cherry said as she knew what was going to happen.
Dexter appeared to be working on a remote control before beaming. "At last! My greatest work completed!" she then kissed his invention before going to set it down, not seeing his sister at first.
"Hiiiii~" Dee Dee beamed to her younger brother.
"What'd I tell you?" Cherry snarked, seemingly to no one.
"I dunno, I wasn't listening." Cleo replied.
Cherry rolled her eyes a bit.
"I'm just here to check on my favorite little brother." Dee Dee smiled innocently, pinching Dexter's cheek.
"Stop it! I do not need you to check up on me!" Dexter glared, trying to push her out. "So if you would kindly please leave MY LABORATORY!" he then stopped before seeing Cherry and Cleo suddenly. "And who are these people?" he then demanded.
"These are my new best friends, Cherry and her sister." Dee Dee introduced.
"Seriously? You think my cat is my sister?" Cherry deadpanned before winking at Dexter with a small smirk. "You'll remember me later on." she then told him, but didn't say anything else.
"At least they seem smarter than Mee Mee and Lee Lee." Dexter muttered a bit.
"Ooh, what's that?!" Dee Dee smiled, zipping over to a helix and soon rearranged it to make a flower.
Dexter yelped and chased after his sister. "Help me catch her!"
"Do you want me to get a net?" Cherry offered.
"I don't care! Just do something!" Dexter urged.
"Close enough," Cherry said, taking a net from nowhere and running. "Chaaaarge!"
Dexter yelped as he ran after Dee Dee before getting zapped and then crushed by one of his machines.
"Ooh, that's gotta hurt." Cherry said before running right into Dee Dee, falling flat on the floor.
Dee Dee soon saw a doll that was strapped down with torture devices around it which made her yell out.
"Sorry, Dex, can't help ya here." Cherry said before zipping off to hide.
"That must be Bubbles 2.0." Cleo commented as she and Cherry went to hide away from Dexter and Dee Dee.
"YOU WERE PLAYING WITH MY DOLL!" Dee Dee glared as she stomped towards Dexter. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD GO IN MY ROOM, TAKE MY DOLL, TAKE IT BACK TO YOUR ROOM, PUT IT ON YOUR STINKY, SLIMY MACHINE, AND THEN YOU-"
Dexter backed up against his stand which sent the remote control in his sister's hand.
"Ooh... What does this button do?" Cherry quoted as Dee Dee was about to push it.
"How'd you know I was gonna say that?" Dee Dee asked.
"...Lucky guess?" Cherry grinned nervously.
"I wonder what that remote is for?" Cleo pondered to herself.
"Something dangerous in the wrong hands, I'm sure." Cherry replied.
"Please! Please, do not push the button!" Dexter begged his sister. "You have no idea of what it-"
Dee Dee pushed the button anyway which zapped Dexter and he was now a bunny rabbit.
"Does..." Dexter finished with a sigh.
"Heh, that's kinda funny." Cherry chuckled at what had happened to Dexter.
"Ooh! Look! What a cute little bunny rabbit!" Dee Dee cooed as she then reached out to hug Dexter tightly.
"Let! Me! Go!" Dexter glared before popping out and picking up the remote control. "Have you any idea what you've done?"
"Hmm... No?" Dee Dee smiled innocently.
"Well, let me show you," Dexter smirked. "What would you like to be more than anything in the world?"
"Ooh... I wanna be a beautiful princess with long golden hair and a big red bow!" Dee Dee beamed, dancing around before wrapping Dexter's bunny ears like a bow.
Dexter then zapped his sister, turning her into a frog. Cherry and Cleo then looked at each other.
"Looks like it's Princess and the Frog all over again." Cleo commented.
"How so?" Cherry asked.
"Well, she turned into a frog," Cleo pointed out. "Isn't that what happened with Tiana and Naveen?"
"Well, I guess, but that's not the full story..." Cherry shrugged.
"I wanna live in a big castle with lots and lots of horses!" Dee Dee beamed as she seemed to be unaffected by the transformation.
Dexter soon hopped off to put the remote control back in the stand and decided to explain to Dee Dee what was going on.
"So, uh, you got a way to reverse this or what?" Cherry asked. "I doubt you can go to school as a bunny and a frog."
"I'm sure Dexter will find a way since he's so smart." Cleo suggested.
"Dex, you wanna help us out here?" Cherry asked.
"Let me see," Dexter said as he began to lecture them. "Now, do you understand-"
ZAP!
Dexter was now a pig. "That by combining the positive and negative ordinaries and across radium-"
ZAP!
Dexter was now a cape buffalo. "We can excrete the elements from any variety of single forming-"
ZAP!
Dexter was now an orangutan. "And unificate them with of the magnetic prosperity-"
ZAP!
Dexter was now an ostrich. "And lastly, that should not be used by-"
ZAP!
Dexter was now a hamster before he then stopped himself as Dee Dee giggled to him before whacking her hand. "YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO ME! Now pay attention!" he then took the remote, zapping her into a tiger.
Cleo and Cherry laughed at that which made Dexter mad and he zapped them, turning them into a horse and a beaver.
"Congratulations, Cleo, you've evolved into a pony." Cherry smirked.
"Well, I guess it's better than a dog." Cleo shrugged at herself.
Dee Dee soon roared at Dexter, chasing him away before turning him into a cow, a walrus, and a penguin before he soon came out of the room and waddled downstairs. Dee Dee giggled at her two new friends and changed them into a bull and a panther.
"Don't be such a bull-head, Cherry." Cleo smirked.
"Easy, you might have the claws, but I can still charge you." Cherry told her familiar.
In the kitchen, Mrs. Dexter was reading the newspaper, unaware of what was happening.
Dee Dee soon tripped downstairs, dropping the remote and Dexter hit it, turning her into a camel.
"Uh-oh! What day is it?" Cleo smirked.
"Don't start." Cherry grumbled.
Dee Dee hit the remote, changing Dexter into a vulture, then the remote zapped Cleo and Cherry, changing them into a raven and a crow.
"I'm cool with this." Cherry smirked at her new bird form.
Dee Dee was then a snake and Dexter was a whale.
"Make sure you two brush your teeth before you come down to breakfast!" Mrs. Dexter told her children.
The remote zapped again changing Dexter as a beaver, Dee Dee was a T-Rex, Cleo was a wolf, and Cherry was now a bat.
"Eww... I'm a filthy, mongrel wolf." Cleo complained.
"It won't last long." Cherry reassured her cat.
"Again... Can't really complain..." Cherry said as she flapped her wings. "Pretty typical."
Dexter brushed his teeth quickly as Dee Dee had trouble due to her tiny arms, unable to reach her mouth. After that, they came into the kitchen as a grizzly bear, a rooster, a lioness, and a weasel.
"Kids! Chew your food!" Mrs. Dexter said without looking.
The kids then tried to eat their breakfast in their new animal forms, especially after the bear tried to destroy the table by chewing it.
"Now go upstairs and get ready for school." Mrs. Dexter smiled as she took their plates to the sink.
Dexter and Dee Dee looked at each other, then zipped past the kitchen, destroying the table to get the remote.
Mrs. Dexter flinched a bit as the room shook a bit as they dashed out of the room before she sighed to herself as Dee Dee was soon a goat and headbutted into Dexter's room as he ran off with the remote before becoming a hippo. "What are those kids up to?" she then asked herself with a weary sigh.
Dexter and Dee Dee were changing into different animals before changing into a turtle and a snail.
"That's it! I'm coming upstairs!" Mrs. Dexter's voice said from downstairs.
Cherry soon took out her wand, changing herself and Cleo back to normal out of panic.
"You gonna hit Dexter and Dee Dee too?" Cleo asked.
"I'm... Not sure..." Cherry replied nervously.
Dexter and Dee Dee were then seemingly luckily back to normal just as their mother walked into the room. Cherry then hid her training wand behind her back.
"You kids stop fooling around and come downstairs or you'll miss your bus!" Mrs. Dexter told them before walking away.
"Last one down is an icky, icky slimy spider!" Dexter beamed in Dee Dee's voice before twirling like a ballerina, going out the door.
"Why not? I've been everything else today?" Dee Dee shrugged in Dexter's voice.
"The next one should be interesting." Cherry said, checking through her book that was given to her.
"And what is that?" Cleo wondered.
"We're going to a diner." Cherry explained.
"Oh, good, can I get salmon?" Cleo asked hopefully.
"We'll see what we can do." Cherry told her cat.
