A Growing Concern

In Rock Village, Naofumi was left with a concern regarding Sadeena. She knows; Naofumin knows that she knows; and Sadeena knows that he knows she knows and it was vexing.

She's enjoying this, Naofumi believed it with all his heart. She knew about him and Mirellia—somehow she knew, Naofumi was not sure how she learned (unaware she had caught them in the act back on the beach) but she knew and that was concerning enough to warrant some fear.

Does she know Hal is my son? Is she going to tell Raphtalia and Filo? Could she have told them already? Could more people in the village know? Could this lead to Trash anf Bitch finding out?

A myriad of these thoughts rushed through the Shield Hero's mind as he contemplated on the possibilities.

It was not as though she was doing anything malicious toward him with the information—he was not being blackmailed by the sakamata therinthrope into doing anything he would not do otherwise—only making slight jabs with it when they were alone and attempting to flirt with the Shield Hero, making her usual advances. But Naofumi could not help but be concerned. Hal's well being was now at stake.

I need to tell Mirellia, Naofumi thought to himself.

He did not need much excuse to talk himself into visiting his secret wife. Any chance he would take to be with her. The only problem was not making it look suspicious. He did not mind the idea of visiting but he needed to ensure that Trash and Bitch never found out—to prevent them from becoming a potential threat to his love child.

Thankfully Raphtalia and Filo offered him plenty of reprieve from the concern, as did his duties in the village, but distractions can only last so long.

Something needed to be done, and so he put ink to paper.
