"Noooo! don't give up my fluffy boy!" Vicky screamed. She's already too close to victory and her last Mon, an Arcanine is still fresh after defeating Watson's Magnemite, leaving Manectric as the last hurdle.

Then her Arcanine got paralyzed by a thunder wave.

A scream of frustration followed after before she faceplanting on the cafeteria table.

"Oh! tough luck." Dennis winced after seeing her gameplay. It was close but she got unlucky.

"There, there. You'll get him next time." Dean comforted his girlfriend for losing on the current trend.

Pokemon came out a week before and people's skeptical of it.

Monster fights isn't actually welcom due to the Endbringers and Nilbog's existence.

But gameplay reviews are putting the game on a high pedestal, even nominating it as game of the year.

Naturally, people soon tried it out.

And boy, it blew up.

Pokemon game is literally play until you learn type of thing. The developer didn't put a tutorial or a manual but only summarized the features of the game.

As of now, the player community are literally building a very huge tutorial manual which is still being updated.

From typings, moves and evolutions. Everything new discovered in the game is shared.

The whole mystery and expansive world of the game netted most of its players around the world.

As of now, there is over 20 million players world wide.

"Hey, just caught a Ghastly! Anyone wanna trade?" Chris asked, hoping for a good trade.

"Got a Scyther. Wanna take it? It got metal coat on." Dennis replied.

"I'll take it." A Scizor would be good against Koga.

Suddenly, Vicky looked at her sister, who is playing seriously for once.

"Ames! can I trade your Charizard?" she needed the firepower.

" No, my dragon is not for trade." Amy said, not taking her eyes off her game. She is currently farming rare berries for her Mons.

A new feature in the game, a player home and hub to relax and farm some berries.

She needed to feed her entire Ever line. She got them all.

"He's not even a dragon!"

"He will once the admins send my papers to the devs."

She got hooked to the game on day one. Pokemon Evolution is what she is really interested on. Theorizing how monsters rapidly evolves into their more powerful forms is fun.

The very first actual fun she had. She even enjoyed having conversations with the players of the community to exchange some theories or talk about biology of the Mons themselves.

That's how she got an invite to the admins of the community.

Her papers, that was their combine theories for the devs to add in the game.

The Mons needs lore.

Vicky shook her head at her sister's seriousness. She's happy that Amy had a hobby now except for healing but not at the cost of her becoming a gamer.

She only played the game because she saw a lot of cute Mons.

Then they turned into big scary cute monsters and she loved it.
