Ch 99 An Unforeseen Situation
It was the middle of the Night at the Stone Mansion, the sounds of Nocturnal Pokemon could be heard at the nearby Routes.
Helena was sleeping peacefully in her room, her Pokemon was also sleeping in their beds peacefully.
Silence fell throughout the Mansion, almost as if nothing bad would happen. Kirlia's eyes suddenly work up, feeling malice feelings outside their room. "Kirlia…Kirlia." She turns to Hattrem, also feeling the same emotions as Kirlia.
"Hattrem, Hatt," The Serene Pokemon looks at Kirlia, helping her to wake up the others from their sleep.
Helena heard her Pokemon making small noises to the side. "Mmm…" Opening her eyes, she looks over to her Partners, curious about what they are doing up. "What are you Girls doing up so late-"
Steven woke up at the sound of a Windo breaking, "What was-Helena!" He tossed his covers, grabbing two Pokeballs on his stand, not caring if he wore only pajama pants and his unbuttoned white shirt was opened or putting on some socks or slippers. He quickly ran out of his room and headed towards Helena's room.
"HELENA!" Steven burst open his Girlfriend's room, seeing two red-hooded People holding Helena in Vines.
On the side, Kirlia, Hattrem, Dragonair, and Sylveon were Battling with Team Magma's Pokemon. Two Golbats, a Mightyena, and a Numel, holding them back as their trainers took the black-haired Professor.
One Grunt looks at their Pokemon as the other Grunt holds Helena, struggling to get free. "You guys, keep those Pokemon busy while we make our escape." He ordered their Pokemon, to which they all cried out.
Sylveon used Quick Attack, attempting to get to her Partner. However, one of the Golbats intercepted her, using Poison Fang to stop her.
"Sylve!" The Intertwining Pokemon fell back to the ground, being Poisoned during the process.
Dragonair raised her head, a light blue ball appeared on the tip of her horn before releasing her Ice Beam to free the Golbats. Her idea was to freeze them so both Kirlia and Hattrem could get to their Partner.
Numel steps in, getting in front of the others. "Numel!" The Ground/Fire-type's Body heated up before releasing his Overheat to counter the Ice Beam.
Gritting his teeth, Steven held one of his Pokeballs, tossing it over to Helena's Pokemon. "Carracosta, help them out!" The Champion called out his newest Pokemon,
"Carr!" The Rock/Water-type Pokemon cried, releasing a powerful Hydro Pump at the Enemy, slamming them against the wall.
Hattrem looks at Kirlia, wanting her to go after their trainer. "Hattrem, Hattrem!" Kirlia looks around, seeing both Dragonair and Sylveon, recovering from her Poisoned Status ushering her to join Steven.
Carracosta looks down at Kirlia, "Carracosta," The Prototurtle Pokemon said, ensuring he has everything handled here.
Kirlia nodded, turning to Steven chasing after the Grunts who were escaping through the Window. "Kirlia! Kirlia!" the Duel-type Pokemon cried out to Steven, following him to the Window.
"Huh? Kirlia?" Steven saw Helena's Partner running towards him. He quickly understood that she wanted to help save her Girlfriend, "Kirlia, let's go!" The Champion called out to Helena's Partner, both making it to the window and jumping out.
Steven fell from the second floor, rolling over the grass and planted his feet on the ground. Looking up, he saw Helena struggling in the vines, "Helena!" He shouted, his eyes then shifting to a familiar face standing with a violet-haired Woman.
"M-Maya?" Steven's eyes widen, not expecting her to be a part of the kidnapping, Frowning, he glares at her to which she gives a wicked smile.
The Grunts turn around, seeing Steven and Kirlia on the ground. "Shit, the Champion was here!?" The Team Magma Grunt exclaims, not expecting him to be present at the Mansion.
"Did Courtney's prediction didn't come to fruition?" The Second Grunt asked, not sure if they can beat a Champion.
Helena looks up, seeing her Boyfriend with her Partner. "HMMMPP!" Her muffled mouth expresses relief at the sight of him.
Courtney remained silent, calculating the situation within her mind. 'Analyzing, the situation has reached the point of divergence. Carefully calculating to reach desired-' The Team Magma Admin turns around, seeing the other point of the divergence of her Future Sight.
Maya approaches Steven, smiling at him. "Steven…" She spoke his Name, approaching him with Vileplume beside her.
"Maya, what are you doing with Helena?" Steven asked, Maya, not even giving a proper greeting.
The teal-haired Grunt flinched, never seeing this side of Steven before. Thinking it was just her mind playing tricks with her, shaking her head. "Steven, please calm down. This is just correcting a mistake you've made," Maya said, reasoning with the Champion.
"Mistake?" Steven asked,
"YES! A MISTAKE!" Maya points to Helena, not caring for the looks her fellow Grunts and Courtney are giving her. "WE WERE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER, JUST THE TWO OF! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PREGNANT WITH YOUR KIDS, NOT HER! EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING SHE HAS, IT SUPPOSED TO BE MINE!" She turns around, looking at Steven.
"Everything? You claimed that everything that Helena achieved is supposed to be yours?" Steven asked his Friend's Sister, not even looking up at her.
Maya nodded, "That's right, now that Team Magma has come to get that Bitch, everything should go back to how it should-"
Steven looked up, glaring at Maya for saying those things. "YOU DON'T DESERVE A DAMN THING THAT HELENA ARCHIVED, MAYA!" The Steel-blue haired Champion exclaims, glaring at Helena with an angered look.
The teal-haired Girl steps back, taken aback by Steven's outburst. "S-Steven, this isn't you! A strong, brave, selfless, kindhearted, and-"
Steven took out his Pokeball, ready to send out his Pokemon to Battle. "What you're listing is not the Person you see, Maya." He stated, dismissing everything that she described him. "I may be a kind Person and care for others, but that's it. I'm selfish at a point, I'm not strong; in fact, I'm weak when it comes to certain situations, but I will do what I must to protect the People I love."
Steven held back his arm, "Even if it means trampling over your views of me! Duraludon, help me out!" He tossed his Pokeball, releasing his newest Pokemon onto the Field.
The Steel/Dragon-type Pokemon landed, glaring at Maya and Vileplume. "Duraludon!" The Alloy Pokemon roared, ready for Battle.
"Kirlia," Steven looks at his Girlfriend's Partner as she looks back at him. "Lend me your strength, please." He asked the Emotion Pokemon,
Kirlia nodded, allowing Steven to command her for the time being. "Kirlia!" She quickly joins Duraludon, facing Vileplume and Maya.
Maya frowns, seeing that Steven isn't listening to whatever she says. "Fine, if you refuse to listen to reason, then I'll Battle you to make my point clear!" She took out her Second Pokeball, tossed her Pokeball, and released her Second Pokemon.
"Salazzle! Vileplume, help me out!" Maya held out her hand to her Pokemon,
Vileplume smirks, having her eyes set on Kirlia wanting revenge from the last time. "Vileplume," The Grass/Poison-type grins, ready to Battle.
"Salazzle," The Toxic Lizard Pokemon nodded, obeying her trainer.
Steven glared at his opponent, holding out his hand to Kirlia and Duraludon. "Duraludon, use Gyro Ball on Vileplume, Kirlia use Future Sight!" The Hoenn Champion ordered the Pokemon before him,
"Kirlia!" Kirlia's Body began to glow, releasing two orbs into the air. Two Portals appeared as the orbs went inside before disappearing.
"Duraludon!" The Duel-type roared, spinning around in a Metallic aura heading for the two Pokemon.
Maya quickly retaliated to the Attacks. "Vileplume, Sludge Bomb on Kirlia and Salazzle, Fire Lash on Duraludon!" The teal-haired Grunt ordered her Pokemon.
Salazzle stood up, smirking at the Opponents. "Salazzle!" She leaps in the air, her marking glows as Flames burst from them. She spun around, whipping her Flames around.
"Vileplume!" The Flower Pokemon held her head back before releasing a ball of sludge at Kirlia,
Steven gazes at the Attack, raising his hand. "Duraludon, Kirlia," He spoke, not taking his eyes off the two Enemy Pokemon.
Behind Maya, the Grunts with Helena and Courtney watch as the teal-haired Grunt Battles with the Hoenn Champion. "She can't really think of winning against the Steven Stone." One Grunt said, seeing the newest Member of Team Magma losing against him.
"Her obsession with the Champion is going to be her downfall, everyone could see-"
"Cease your chatter, we have a few seconds before-" Courtney turns around, takes out her own Pokeball, tossing into the air,
Courtney's Pokeball opened up, releasing a golden Fox-like Pokemon with nine tails. "Ninetails!" The Pure Fire-type Pokemon cried out, releasing a Fire Blast at the incoming Attack.
Looking up in the trees, Courtney and the others saw three white Men wearing dark Clothing standing on the branches. "Who are you?" Courtney asked the three strangers before them, 'These People…they appeared just like I foresaw…mission outcome...'
Helena's eyes shift to the three Men, both widen at who they are. "MMMM MMMMM!?"
Standing with them were Pokemon rare to Hoenn, the middle Man stood up, addressing Team Magma. "Release Lady Potter or you'll face us in Battle, the Shadow Triad, Guardians of the Potter Family." The Leader of the Triad announced to the Enemy.
Joining beside each of the three were Pokemon from the Unova Region. The one on the left has an Accelgor, the right has a Liepard, and the center has a Bisharp.
"Shadow Triad? Weren't they with Team Plasma in the Unova Region?" The Grunt holding Helena over his shoulders,
The Grunt turns to her fellow Grunt, "Didn't you hear? Team Plasma was disbanded a few years back, but how come the Shadow Triad is here now? In Hoenn no less?" She asked, unsure how they were going to escape with their target now that Team Plasma's Elites were here.
Courtney closed her eyes, turning to Maya who was still Battling with Steven. "Leave the target, the Mission was set to fail once Maya has confronted the Champion." The violet-haired Admin told the Grunts,
"B-But, Courtney, what would Leader Maxie say if we return empty-handed?" The Grunt asked his Superior, wondering what their leader would do when they returned.
Using her Ability to see the near Future, Courtney opened her eyes. She saw many possibilities, but one would give them the outcome they were looking for. "I'll explain to Leader Maxie of the situation, for now…Ninetails, use Fire Spin around us!" The violet-haired Admin ordered her Pokemon,
"Ninetails!" The Fox Pokemon raises her head, releasing Flames down on the ground. The Flames spiral around, prompting Helena to shut her eyes and brace herself from the Heat and Fire.
The Shadow Triad immediately went into action, landing in the Stone Family's yard. All three of them rushed over to their Charge, attempting to rescue her.
The Grunts turn around, whistling as their Pokemon within the Mansion come from the broken Window, escaping Carracosta and Dragonair Attacks.
The two held their Pokemon's Pokeballs, holding them out to them. "All of you, return!" They cried out, calling them back to their Pokeballs.
Carracosta and Dragonair stood at the damaged Window, seeing things were the same as the inside.
Helena felt the Team Magma Grunt suddenly let go of her, feeling her Body falling to the ground. She twists to her side, avoiding where her Sons are. "HMPH!" She felt a jolt of pain in her back.
Back where Maya and Steven were Battling, both Vileplume and Salazzle fell to the ground after taking on powerful Attacks from Duraludon and Kirlia. "Why…WHY DON'T YOU SEE THINGS MY WAY, STEVEN!?" Maya exclaims, demanding to know why he's opposing her. "I'M THE PERFECT WOMAN WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR WIFE! WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILDREN! ANSWER ME STEVEN!"
"You want to know my answer, Maya?" Steven asked, chuckling at the teal-haired Grunt. He glared at her, answering the question. "Simple, because your obsession with me is troublesome. You held me on a pedestal, thinking whatever you see is the real me."
"I held hope that your personality would change when you grow up, but it seems you've proven me wrong," Steven said, seeing Maya was seething with anger and rage. "After today, no matter what, even if Arceus demands it; nothing in this World would make me fall in love with you." He stated,
Maya grips her fist before speaking her mind. "STEVEN, YOU'RE-"
"Roserade, Power Whip!" A new voice came from the side, green glowing whips wrapped around Maya and wrapped around her mouth, causing the teal-haired Girl to fall to the ground.
Landing on the ground next to Maya was Lydia's Roserade, "Roserade," The Bouquet Pokemon nodded at Steven, indicating she got this covered.
Steven turns to the side, seeing both his Mother and Father coming over with Office Jenny and Amethio running towards them. He was about to relax when suddenly Flames burst behind Maya and Roserade. "HELENA!" He didn't waste time rushing over to where the Team Magma Grunts held his Pregnant Girlfriend.
Running past Maya and Roserade, the Hoenn Champion saw Helena on the ground as three Figures crowded around her. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" Steven shouted, pulling back his fist before propelling it at the center Man.
Steven punched the center Triad in the face, causing him to stumble back. He huffs, noticing that his Bisharp stepping in front of him. "Bisharp…" The Dark/Steel-type Pokemon growls, defending his Partner.
"Bisharp, stand down." The Triad Leader spoke, making his Partner step back. Getting up, the Shadow Triad Leader looks at Steven, apologizing to him. "Forgive me, our appearance must be a shock for you, Champion of the Hoenn Region. Know that we mean no harm to Lady Potter." He explains to the Steel-blue haired Champion.
"W-Who are you then if you're not here with Team Magma?" Steven asked, still not trusting the three Men before him.
"We are the Shadow Triad, former Members of Team Plasma." The Second Triad spoke, informing Steven who they were. "The Shadow Triad has been requested by Lord N and Ladies Anthea and Concordia to protect Helena whenever she's in trouble."
Steven's eyes widen, knowing about Team Plasma and what they did in Unova. He was about to speak when the Third Member spoke. "It's understandable that you'll get that reaction. However, rest assured that Team Plasma is disbanded, and we swore to follow the beliefs of Pokemon that the Potter Matriarch has unveiled to us." He showed the P Logo on his shoulder, stitched to his Outfit.
"Many who still wish to follow Lord N and the new beliefs he adopted now follow. Along with serving the Family, he has been a part of now." The Third Triad explains, rebranding the Team Plasma Logo they wore into the Potter Family Crest. "In short, we're the Potter Family's Guardians."
Steven looks at Helena, being helped up by two of the Shadow Triad Members. Forgetting about what the Leader of the Triads said for a second, he went to Helena's side, assisting her for a moment. "Helena, are alright? Did Team Magma hurt either you or the Boys?" He asked, placing his hand on her abdomen.
Helena nodded, smiling at Steven. "The three of us are fine, though I did hit my back once that Grunt let go of me." The black-haired Professor explains to her Boyfriend, feeling slight pain.
"Are you sure?" Steven asked, really concerned for Helena's well-being.
"Yes, I'm alright Steven. Don't worry," Helena smiles before addressing the Shadow Triad. Three People she hadn't seen for what seemed to be the longest time. "Now, you three. What are really doing here, the last time I saw you guys was when you helped us enter Team Plasma's Castle."
Steven looks at Helena, surprised to hear she was a part of the Battle at the Unova League. "Helena, you were at the Battle with Team Plasma at the Unova League?" He asked, both shocked and impressed by her capabilities other than being a Pokemon Professor. He shouldn't be surprised, considering that she did become a Temporary Gym Leader for a short time.
Helena merely smiles at Steven before getting back to the original topic. "Anyways, can you three tell me the real reason why you're here? Don't think that I'm not appreciative of saving me, but it's rather suspicious to have you guys show up out of the blue. " She asked her now Guardians of the Potter Family,
The Leader of the Triad spoke, giving the same answer as he gave to Steven. "We weren't lying that we were sent by your Siblings, Lady Helena. Lord N and Ladies Anthea and Concordia were very concerned over you…"
"Lord N came to us, requesting those who followed the beliefs you've set out for us to follow to help you, Lady Helena." The white-haired Man explains to Helena who has requested to help them. "As such, Lord Rood whom you've personally shifted his Beliefs to the one he believes in now rebrands the former Team Plasma Followers to the Guardians of the Potter Family. Making you, the Matriarch of the Family." He explains to the new Matriarch of the Potters.
The Second Triad Member showed the Logo of what was once the Logo of Team Plasma to Helena. "The Logo you see before you now stands for the P in the Potter Family." He stated, adding the little detail.
Helena blinked, looking at each Shadow Triad Member before chuckling at the situation she'd found herself in. "Ha…hahahahahaha!" She laughs, almost falling over if Steven didn't hold her.
"Woah there, Helena. There's no need for you to fall over." Steven said, holding his Girlfriend carefully.
"S-Sorry, I-I just found it funny that what was just a Family Name became what seems to be a Mafia Name." Helena laughs at the troubling situation before her. She took a moment to rest before addressing the Shadow Triad.
Thinking over what was revealed to her, she can't exactly say that she and her Family doesn't need a Mafia army thing. All she wanted was a peaceful Family Life, not a hectic one, however considering the situation…"Alright, if there are any more of Team Plasma Grunts who are here in Hoenn, they can stay because of Team Magma." She told the Shadow Triad, allowing them to stay. "Relay the message to N and the others,"
"As you wish, Lady Helena." The Triad and their Pokemon inclined their head to Helena before leaving in a flash.
Steven chuckles, looking at Helena curious about one thing. "So, we have a personal Family Army now…what are the chances of that happening." The Champion said, feeling both relieved and unsure about it.
"Don't think this is permanent, Steven. It's only temporary until I figure things out when things die down with our current situation," Helena looks at her Boyfriend, not wanting to add more complications.
The Hoenn Champion held his hand, understanding Helena. "I understand, ma'am." Steven smiles before frowning as he turns to see Maya and her Pokemon being taken in by the Police.
"What will happen to Maya and her Pokemon?" Helena asked, placing her hand on her abdomen,
"Detective Amethio and Officer Jenny will take Maya in for questioning about Team Magma. It's something you shouldn't get yourself involved in," Steven said, feeling a slight tug on his sleeve. "Ellie? Is there-"
"S-Steven…m-my stomach...t-the Twins…i-it…." Helena said before falling over.
Steven's eyes grow wide, quickly grabs Helena before she falls to the ground. "HELENA!"
