Hey there everybody, hunter41963801 here with a new chapter of The Dark Knight. But this is more like a side story.

This was thanks to a review from a fellow author by the name of bp3878193 who was a big help in making this chapter.

Now with that done, onto the chapter.

(I only own my OC and other OCs that I make later down the line in this story)

Side story: Batwoman

At night in Starling City

It was a cold breezy night in Starling City, which was due to it being around Christmas time which meant a lot of people were doing their best to get presents for their family and friends.

But seeing how this was Starling City, there will always be those who will try to rob and even kill someone just for the fun of it.

Case in point:

"Ha, can you believe how much cash we got here, man?" A robber named Cole cheerfully asked his friend Dom, while holding a ton of cash in his hand.

Nodding at this, "You got that right. It's like stealing candy from a baby and those idiots didn't see what was coming when we jumped them in the alley." A smiling Dom says, counting the 20s in his hands.

Unaware of the criminals, a dark figure lands a few feet away in the shape of a bat.

As Cole was counting the money, he noticed Dom stopped counting his money, "Hey man, what's up with you?" Cole asked his friend.

"Do you think we shouldn't have done this at night?" Dom asked him.

Cole shook his head at this. He should have guessed that Dom would ask this seeing what has happened as of late in Starling with a certain bat in town. Still, though, he and every other criminal were surprised to find out that another Batman was here in the city, as they thought he only stayed in Gotham.

"Just relax man, it's near Christmas and the bat has better things to do than to go after us while this is happening," Cole assured his friend.

But Cole was proven wrong when the both of them felt movement above them.

Looking up, they were shocked to see Batman glaring down at them, "Are you sure about that?" Batman asked the criminals. (1)

Jumping down, Batman tackles both men towards the ground which causes them to drop the money. Getting off the ground, Cole tries to fire his gun at Batman, but Batman is quicker by throwing a Batarang at Cole's hand, making him drop the gun.

Before Cole can pick up his gun, Batman stops him by knocking him out with a roundhouse kick to his face.

The second man, Dom, tries to run away, but he's stopped by Batman who fires his grappling hook at Dom's feet. Dom screams in terror as picks him up by his jacket, and the last thing he sees is Batman's fist coming right at him.

"Did they think I wouldn't be out on patrol tonight?" Batman asked himself. Shaking his head at this, he ties up both men and makes an anonymous call to cops on where to find the men who stole all this money.

Batman's night is about to get a little weird due to someone behind him, "Wow, that was amazing!" Someone says with excitement.

Quickly grabbing a Batarang from his belt, Batman turns around to find out who this unknown person is. But once he did, Batman quickly knew who this unknown man was, "What do you want, Bat-Mite?" An annoyed Batman asked the fifth-dimensional being.

Smiling at his question, "Oh, I see your father told you a lot about me, which isn't a surprise as I know a lot about you, Damian." Bat-Mite cheerfully says.

Putting the batarang away, "Yeah, I bet you do. But don't avoid the question, what do you want?!" Damian demanded as he didn't want to play any game with Bat-Mite.

Taking a seat, "Well you see Damian, I need your help with something." Bat-Mite says to Damian.

Damian raises an eyebrow at this. Why in the world would Bat-Mite need his help? From what his father has told him about this fifth-dimensional being, he usually wanted to play around with him when he showed up, but now this is different. "Why do you need my help and no games!" Damian warned him.

Scratching the back of his head, "You see, I need your help with this problem that I have on another earth. And quite frankly it's pissing me off to no end." Bat-Mite angrily says.

While he has never met Bat-Mite unlike his father, Damian could tell right away that Bat-Mite wasn't joking around and that he was genuinely pissed off!

"What could make you this angry all of sudden?" Damian asked him, as he can take a good guess this is the reason he's here right now.

Grabbing a remote out of nowhere, "This is why." Bat-Mite says, pressing a remote on the button.

(One Batwoman Season 1 Trailer later)

Once Damian was done watching the trailer, there were a lot of things going through his head: Who the hell did this woman think that his father's suit was a better fit for a woman? Where is his father now? But most of all, did they seriously change his father's bat signal to match this wannabe's symbol?

Now seeing why Bat-Mite was here, "So, you want me to go to this other world and take care of this woman who's thrashing my father's legacy?" Damian asked him.

Angrily nodding at his question, "Yes I do. So, are you in?" Bat-Mite asked Damian.

Damian didn't even need to think twice about his decision, "Of course I am. This woman is going to regret her decision to take my father's cowl and making it her own." A determined Damian says, ready to leave right away.

Without being told twice, Bat-Mite snapped his fingers which teleported Damian to the Batwoman world aka Earth-Batfake.

Sitting back and taking a soda off a table, "Oh, this is going to be fun. Better watch out batfake, because an angry son is coming for you." Bat-Mite says, taking a drink from the soda he was holding.

There we have it for this part of the side story.

Here we got to see: A breezy night in Starling City due to it being near Christmas, 2 robbers named Cole and Dom counting money that they stole, Damian/Batman taking them down, Damian meeting Bat-Mite, Bat-Mite asking Damian for help, Bat-Mite showing him why, and it ending with Damian heading to Batwoman's earth called Earth-Batfake.
