Silver and Blaze were at Seaside City rooftop, talking to each other. Silver can't believe how his voice sounds a lot like that human cat. Same age, and have the same desire for happiness and want peace. It was as if he was a counterpart from another world.
"Don't get so naive again, Silver. Just because his voice sounds exactly like yours" Blaze said.
"Only some differences. Well, if I was a cat, it would make more sense" Silver joked.
"You purred once. Hedgehogs can purr" Blaze remembers the last time he accidentally purred.
"It was unexpected! I just thought cats are the only beings that purr but I didn't know hedgehogs like myself can" Silver blushed a little.
"Oh, Silver" Blaze shook her head chuckling.
"But I kinda like that kid. It was hilarious to fool Metal Sonic with our voices sounding alike" Silver snickered.
"Yeah, it was" Blaze replied. She noticed the cat and ladybug mobians pass by on the street, "Those two below resemble them a little"
"Kind of. How Ladybug makes tools out of nowhere is like how Amy summons her hammer out of thin air" Silver said.
"And Cat Noir's ability to destroy anything he touches is like Shadow's chaos spear," Silver said.
"Pretty much" Blaze replied.
"So far, I see nothing happening yet. In my vision I only see what looks like a human but as a fox-themed maniac. I didn't ask those two because I don't want to jeopardize the events of coming true" Silver said, knowing that interference can have serious consequences.
"I understand, Silver" Blaze then stood up.
"But doing nothing is risky. I learned my lesson whenever I get ahead of myself, something else goes very wrong" Silver said before two giants of Ladybug and Cat Noir appeared, not knowing they were illusions but to everyone's eyes, they looked real enough.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are, Sonic!" Giant Illusion Cat Nour taunting.
"You and your little cute furry friends are the ones to get squashed for working with Dr. Egghead!" Giant Illusion Ladybug laughed.
"Giant versions of them!" Blaze creates fire in her hands.
"Wait! Something's not right here!" Silver stopped her, "Find what it is while I observe these giants. There's no way they can grow into giants" Silver takes flight.
"Or go rogue" Blaze ran her way.
"Sonic! Get over to Seaside City!" Silver said through the earpiece.
"We're on our way" Sonic spoke through the earpiece.
"Good. I'll hold off the threat" Silver hung up.
The Mobians were trying to not get stepped on and tried to get inside the building, "Hurry! Into the bunkers!" Vector was leading some mobians inside.
Silver observed the giant illusions but noticed something was off with them. No footprints when they are giant enough to step on something hard. They are barely touching anything without damaging the buildings.
"Wait a minute!" He fires psychic blasts at them, and they go straight through one of them, causing the giant illusion of Cat Noir to disappear into nothing.
"They are illusions" He hovered down to Vector, Espio, and Charmy.
"What trickery was that?!" Charmy exclaimed.
But there was no time for explanation when Tails carrying Ladybug while flying saw what was going on.
"Silver, what happened?" Ladybug asked once they'd landed.
"Two giant versions of you appeared but they were illusions" Silver described them.
"Lila is trying to convince your people to think we are the bad guys!" Ladybug said.
"No good" Silver said.
Vector noticed Ladybug, "So this is the real Ladybug?" He asked.
"Yes, she's on our side," Silver said.
"Come out, Sonic! Don't be shy! Egghead would gladly wanna see you soon for your funeral!" Giant Illusion Ladybug cackled.
"There it is again!" Ladybug saw the illusion.
"Let's do it!" Espio took out a throwing star.
"Wait! Everyone! It's not real! It's an illusion like you're seeing a mirage!" Ladybug said.
"Look!" Silver threw his psychic blast at it and once again the illusion disappeared.
"They really are fakes!" Espio exclaims.
"This is Trickster's doing!" Ladybug said.
"And how can we trust you? That madman is also a human like you!" One of the mobians said.
They all agreed that these human teens can't be trusted and they all formed in protest. Especially believing the lies from Trickster using illusions of random Mobians to trick them into believing the rumors earlier.
"Um, guys..." Ladybug got nervous.
"Lila has probably used one of the illusions to lie to them," Cat Noir said.
"No kidding" Tails said.
"She's very good at lying to turn everyone against the other!" Cat Noir said.
"ENOUGH!" Amy Rose yelled so loud to stop the protestors before taking out her hammer in anger.
"Whoa! Easy!" One elephant mobian backed off.
"That's enough!" Amy shouted.
"Whatever you say!" The mob complied.
"Listen up! You saw those giants were fakes! These two right here are the real ones! Yes, they are humans but they are nothing like Eggman! Whoever told you this is only making you turn against one another!" Sonic said.
"She's using lies to turn you against me and my partner!" Ladybug joined.
"You know this better than anyone!" Cat Noir said.
"Whatever you do, don't trust that liar," Ladybug said.
"Well, that could have gotten worse," Vector said which made Cat Noir note that he sounded like his dad but gruffer and louder.
"Look, I know this is all new to you but they are friends," Sonic said.
"Trust us. My kitty and I are here to help" Ladybug said.
"There you are, you cunning trickster!" Blaze burst flames from the distance at the target she found responsible for this.
"GAH! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Trickster ran from her flames.
"Oh, crap!" Silver knew what's gonna happen if his best friend gave in her anger, the human enemy would akumatize her the same way she did to Knuckles, "NO BLAZE! NO!" He flew over to stop her from setting Trickster on fire.
"Come Ladybug!" Sonic ran with Ladybug.
"No need to burn me, cat! I'm just doing what's good for everyone!" Trickster lied.
"Those two are heroes from Earth!" Blaze corners her.
"Blaze! Don't burn her!" Ladybug pleaded.
"I'm not gonna let her lie to anyone!" Blaze was this close to burning her.
"Blaze! If you kill her, you're no better than her!" Sonic rushes in.
"Yeah, you can do better than this, fire cat!" Trickster threw her Akuma on Blaze's scrunchie on her ponytail.
"NO! BLAZE!" Silver gasped seeing his cat friend akumatized.
"Not today! Cataclysm!" Cat Noir saw where it landed and touched it before Blaze almost accepted it.
Breaking the connection with Trickster before the akuma would have almost influenced her, "Thanks Cat Noir" Blaze said in relief, but her hair fell down.
Ladybug chooses to catch the Akuma and purify it. Only to let Trickster get away by creating clones of illusions of herself.
"Oh no you don't!" Sonic runs after her.
"Ha!" Trickster used Shelter ability on him as the green shield encased him up.
"Hey! Let me out!" Sonic pounded on the shield.
"So fast at running but never a fast thinker, blue rat!" Trickster cackled before running away.
"After her!" Ladybug chases her.
"Multitude!" Trickster shrinks into sizes with multiple clones of herself to outsmart them.
"Damn it! Not again!" Ladybug failed to catch her with the others.
"What the hell is she, really?!" Shadow can't believe this woman is very good at escaping.
"She akumatized herself to use any power!" Ladybug stomps her foot in frustration.
Sonic struggled to get out of Shelter shield but it was not breaking, "Get me out of this!"
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir touched the shield as it broke to free Sonic.
"Thanks, Cat Noir," Sonic said.
"You're welcome," Cat Noir said.
"This is getting tougher than we thought. She has the butterfly miraculous. If only we had our teammates to stop her together" Ladybug said.
"You gotta tell us something we don't know, bug! This is very new to us than we already faced Doctor so many times" Shadow said.
"Alright. You see in our world we have more of us holders with different powers" Ladybug explained.
"Like this Rena Rouge, you were talking about?" Tails asked.
"Yes. The green shield you all saw, that's the miraculous of the turtle. The shrinking multiplication, that's the miraculous of the mouse. The butterfly miraculous is supposed to grant the person any power they desire, depending on their negative emotion. But if used for evil, it can be dangerous. Lila is obviously finishing what Monarch couldn't do" Ladybug said, though no one knew that Gabriel surrendered the miraculous and became the sacrifice of the wish to reunite with Emilie in the afterlife.
"Like getting our miraculous" Cat Noir said.
"I'm not supposed to say this but mine and Cat Noir's miraculous grants one wish when merged. But this is not like a genie. The wish is balanced between creation and destruction. For example, if you wish to become human, someone else has to lose their humanity. If you wish to cure someone, another will fall ill. If you wish to revive someone, someone else will have to die" Ladybug explained why this cannot be used.
"Understood. Whatever this Trickster has in mind, it's a bad idea" Tails said.
"Tails, you mentioned that Lila is not her real name. What did you mean?" Cat Noir asked.
"When I scanned her, my screen showed that she had multiple identities than just one. This Lila person obviously is a deceiver than a liar" Tails showed the device to Ladybug.
Ladybug read through and saw names like Cerise among them.
"What? She can do that?! Especially changing her eye color?" Cat Noir saw it too but then felt angry at how naive he was from the beginning he trusted her until she revealed herself to be a liar but never thought she would go that far to changing her identities and disguises.
"Worse than I thought. You two didn't know this, did you?!" Shadow glared at them.
"No. Please don't blame us! One of my friends once said that lying is a powerful superpower. All of us fell for it too until my lovely princess Marinette was telling the truth the whole time, except the disguise thing" Cat Noir explained to the Ultimate Lifeform.
Sonic, Amy, and Tails felt bothered by the name but stayed quiet about it.
"There is more to her than meets the eye, Kitty," Ladybug said.
"That deceitful liar! She really has no heart or mind to ever change! What kind of monster would lie her way out of trouble when in reality, she's still a fraud, a liar, a nobody, and a con?! Just like she manipulated Chloe we did not see it was a setup!" Cat Noir felt like cataclysming something out of anger.
"I really wish we did" Ladybug sighed.
"You two didn't know. Don't doubt yourself but this is your chance to learn from your mistakes. Just like Sonic would always do to learn from his mistakes and never let history repeat itself" Amy said to them.
"That's true, Ames" Sonic said.
"And sometimes violence is a bit necessary whenever an enemy taunts your weakness. You can't let them make you vulnerable or they take the chance to defeat you" Shadow said, explaining why he's brutal because he doesn't show hesitation in a fight.
"You suggest we better not hold back?" Cat Noir asked.
"Do you want them to let your guard down or not?" Shadow glared intensely to stop hearing a hesitation.
"No!" Cat Noir replied.
"It's just I can't bear to kill anyone," Ladybug said.
"Kill or don't kill, enemies getting away only makes them learn more and be prepared for something. Just like you let her escape without noticing it. Villains are either smart to fool their enemies so they don't get defeated or manipulate them in the wrong direction" Shadow said.
"Jeez, you sound too harsh" Cat Noir crossed his arms but he did make a point.
"We got to find Lila as soon as possible," Ladybug said.
"How? She's copying our teammates' powers. Possibly ours too. The peacock miraculous creates sentimonsters and it's not gonna be easy to find the amok object from her" Cat Noir said.
"Well, that's gonna be tricky. With the stolen computer she might be looking for the chaos emeralds too" Ladybug said.
