Inside Ninjago, the the Monastery Of Spinjitzu. Chantal, young Wu, Rainn, Maya and Ray stood in the court yard looking up at the sky as a MergeQuake appears and grows in size.
"Looks like we arrived just in time, Ray." Maya said, she and Ray had wanted to visit and surprise Kai and Nya.
"What's happening?" Wu asked.
"Whatever's happening in Imperium, I bet that's where the MergeQuakes all started." Chantal said. "We need to get inside!" She turns to everybody gathered.
Maya grabs Ray's arm. "Let's go! Everyone get to the Hanger Bay."

Inside Imperium, the MergeQuake that Beatrix open, grows. "It works!"

On the top of the Broadcast tower, the Ninja and the Resistance stare up at the rift.
"Come on." Rapton complained. "Beatrix got her MergeQuake weapon online? She's gonna destroy us all!"
Dorama is now sitting on the ground is is handcuffed with zip ties. "Ah, the Empress has such incredible flair for the dramatic." He said and Rapton turns to him.
"You're gonna be destroyed too, you washed-up clown!"
Dorama stares at him with shock. "Oh. It appears I did not think this whole thing through."
"It's not over yet, Rapton." Sora said.
"Yeah, not sure what you know about Ninja, but we never quit." Arin added.
The Ninja and Percival quickly leave.

"Beatrix! You don't want to do this!" Lloyd said, still holding his sword as the MergeQuake grew larger and larger with lightning as it grew dark.
"If you continue to use that weapon, you will push the MergeQuakes to the tipping point!" Zane added.
"It'll create an unstoppable MergeQuake Storm." Nya said. "It'll destroy all of reality!"
"And that includes Imperium!" William finished.
"Lies! You just want my power for yourselves. But my destruction of you ninja will be legendary!" She swings her sword, sending a wave of energy at the Ninja, sending them flying backwards. Beatrix then turns her weapon on the protesting Imperium citizens. "And all you traitors to your Empress. You are no better than the Ninja! No one will rule this kingdom but me, and I will destroy everyone who stands in my way!" She opens fire at the people, opening a rift and people are sucked in from the vacuum force.
"Move!" Lloyd yelled when Beatrix turns to the Ninja and shoots, the Ninja were able to quickly get out of the way just as another rift opens. She shoots at the Ninja again and Nya ducks her head and leaps out of the way from another rift opening up.
"Behold my true power!" Beatrix yells as she randomly open fires all over the city, causing the citizens to flee or get sucked in.

In the confusion, the Ninja were able to regroup.
"Beatrix lost of marbles!" Raya cried as she stood between Kai and Wyldfyre.
"That's just half of it!" William states.
"Beatrix has really gone off the deep end!" Kai replies. "What do we do?" He asks.
Lloyd turns and watches as Beatrix continues to randomly shoot her weapon as she laughs maniacally. He turns to face his friends.
"What we do best." He flips over the drabs. "Ninja, go!" His companied by the other Ninja.
The Ninja charge at Beatrix. She turns to see Nya, and Zane coming at her with Spinjitzu, Beatrix turns to her other side to see Sora and Arin running at her. Beatrix reaches for her weapon and swings it sending an energy wave, but the Ninja easily dodges it.
Both Raya and Wyldfyre leap high in the air, Raya summons her element, as Wyldfyre summons her own power. "Fire!"
"Eat flame!" Wyldfyre yells as they shoot their respective powers. Beatrix turns to her and aims her weapon at her.
"Raya!"
Kai and Nya turn at Zane's warning just in time to see Beatrix firing her weapon behind Raya and Wyldfyre, the two turn and gasps.
"DAAAAAAD!" Raya screams. All the Ninja pause and look up just in time to see Raya and Wyldfyre are sucked inside the rift.

Back in Ninjago, and inside the Hanger Bay inside of the Monastery. Everyone stood safely inside the Hanger as they watch the sky from the large computer. "Thanks to the security camera outside, we can watch the sky and monitor that new MergeQuake that just opened." Chantal said as she sat at the computer and typed, bringing up the footage.
"Is there a way to hack into Imperium?" Rainn asks. "What's happening over there?"
"No." Chantal said, shaking her head as she had the camera zoom in on the rift. "Everything over there is probably corrupted or damaged or completely broken." Raya is seen leaping into the air with Wyldfyre.
"Skylor!" Maya smiles, looking at Wyldfyre, but Ray frowns.
"That's not Skylor." He said. Everyone watches in horror as a rift is opened up behind Raya and Wyldfyre and gasps when the two are sucked inside.
"RAYA!" Maya cries, grabbing Ray.
"Oh no." Rainn whispered.

Back in Imperium.
"NOOOO!" Kai screams. "RAYA!" Putting his sword away he lites his hands and charges at Beatrix with raging anger, Nya is quick to join her brother and the siblings team up on Beatrix, but she easily knocks them down.
"Her fate will be all of yours. Blasted out of existence!"
"Look out!" William yells as the Ninja quickly take cover as Beatrix opens rifts all around the city.
"We gotta get that weapon from her!" Lloyd said as he hid behind a plant with Arin.
"I got this!" Arin said, pulling out his grappling hook just as the planter is suddenly sucked into a nearby rift, the boys slid towards it, but Lloyd is able to keep from sliding and grabs Arin's hand, but the grappling hook is sucked in.
The two run away from the rift.
Nearby, a citizen is nearly pulled into a rift, but Jiro rescues him, shocking the man as he looks up.
"Never thought I'd say this, but. Thank you, dragons!"
Jiro looks down at him, not sure how to really take that.
More citizens are fleeing from all the chaos and confusion. Percival and another teen are holding the doors to the bunker open. "Everybody! It's safer in the bunker!" As some of the citizens hurry inside, a child is about to start but she trips and falls, next to her a lamppost is severed in half and the top part falls and lands on her.
Percival runs over and lefts the lamppost, his friend runs over to help and together the two lift the lamppost and the girl is able to escape and the boys drop the lamppost.
"Are you ok?" Percival asks as the boys help the child up.
"I think so. The Empress is off her rocker!"
A rift opens up near them, Percival's friend and the little girl run for the bunker but something hits Percival and he's thrown into the rift.
Beatrix is having a ball, not caring what her kingdom looks like as she fires more and more rifts. Strong gusts of wind are blown throughout the city.
Sora runs around a corner and bumps into Zane. "Zane?"
"I cannot determine how to get in her proximity to disarm her."
Sora turns to study the Mech, she turns back to Zane. "We don't have to get close to her. "I just need a burst of elemental power from Riyu and I can dismantle her weapon from here." She looks around, finding Riyu standing next to Kai, who throws out some fire breaking a boulder. "Riyu!" She yells, getting his attention. "Let's do our thing!"
Arin runs from the side and watches as Riyu and Sora run towards each other, but a blast is shot out and a rift opens - sucking Riyu inside.
Sora instantly stops running. "RIYU!"
"No!" Arin pulls off his hood. "Not Riyu!" He turns to see Beatrix aiming at Sora. "Sora!" He runs to his friend, but trips on a rock. Picking it up he runs and does Spinjitzu and throwing the rock at the mech. The powered rock slams into the mech, knocking it down and the weapon breaks off, but blasts towards the sky, creating a very large rift.

In Ninjago, in the safety of the Monastery. Everyone watches with more horror as the newest rift opens. Young Wu had climbed into his mother's lap and hugs her tightly.
"Oh dear, not another one!" Mr. Frohicky exclaimed.
They all jump, young Wu and Frohicky yelp when they hear a noise and turn to a door opening to reveal a Mech.
"Dad's mech!" Wu exclaims.
"But how's he controlling it?" Rainn asked as they watch it leave the Hanger Bay.

Beatrix's mech picks herself up, she growls as she sees the broken part of her mech, she looks around and screams in anger.
Lloyd and Arin run over to Zane, who turns to them.
"She is pushing us dangerously close to the tipping point." He points to the sky, showing three MergeQuakes and lightning.
Beatrix picks up the weapon and continues to randomly fire. She's hit in the back by a large fireball and she turns to find Kai standing on a lamppost.
"That was for Wyldfyre!" He summons his elemental dragon. "This is for Raya!" He jumps on his dragon and flies at Beatrix.
"You want to join your brat?" Beatrix lifts the weapon and shoots, knocking Kai into a rift.
On the streets, Nya watches in horror as her brother disappears. "KAI" She raises her hand. "NO!" A hand grabs her and she's pulled to safety.
"Come on! Let's take her down like a dragon!" Rapton said, handing Nya a sword and she does a double take.
"Since when are you on our side?"
"The world ending can change a man's attitude, young lady."
Nearby, Arin watches Beatrix from a safe distance, he turns to Lloyd. "There's no way to get close to her!"
"Yeah, that's why I called in something that might help." Lloyd said, they turn to see the Master and dragon Mechs landing in front of them. "Remote autopilot."
"This is why you're the leader."
Beatrix runs through the city with Nya and Rapton in hot pursuit. The two leap out of the way but are both sucked in.
"Nya!" Lloyd yells. Beatrix turns and is hit by Lloyd's kick, detaching the MergeQuake weapon off her mech. Arin detaches from Lloyd's mech and runs for the dropped weapon, but Beatrix trips him.
"Nooo!" He yells as she throws him to the side before engaging in a battle with Lloyd.

In the streets somewhere, Sora runs past her parents.
"Ana! Ana!"
Sora stops and turns. "Mom?" She pulls off her hood. "Dad? You see now I was right about Imperium? You have to get to safety! This is too dangerous!"
"No, you need to come with us!" Her father demanded.
"What? I - I … I can't!" Sora refused. "I have to help stop the Empress! She's going to destroy everything!"
"No, you need to trust the Empress!" Her mother said. "She wouldn't do any of this without a reason!"
Sora stared, not believing her parents. "Didn't you see the video? The reason is that she's evil!"
"That video has to be fake! Our Good Empress would never do those things." Her father insisted.
"We missed you, Ana." Her mother said. "Don't abandon us again."
Sora turns to watch Lloyd and Beatrix battling, she turns back to her parents. "I didn't abandon you! You abandoned me!" Her voice started to shake a little. "I thought I had to prove myself to you, but you should never have to prove your worth to your own parents!"
"You're young and naïve, Ana. Just come back to your family!"
"I have a new family now." Sora told her parents. "One that loves me for who I really am!"
Beatrix aims her weapon, firing a shot and a rift opens up behind Lloyd and Arin.
"Eject! Eject!" Lloyd yells, hitting the eject button as does Arin and the two are thrown into the air as their mechs are sucked into the rift and the boys fall to the ground, Lloyd falling falling on his stomach as Arin landed on his butt. The boys look up when Beatrix slams her mech foot down.
"This ends now, Ninja!" She aims her weapon directly at them.
"NO!" Sora screams, activating her powers, gaining control over the weapon.
"What's going on?" Beatrix demanded as she struggled to keep the weapon aimed.
"Ana?" Sora's mother gasped. "You have elemental powers?"
"I do. And my name." Sora's eyes glow as she successfully detaches the weapon with her power. "Is SORA!" She dismantles the weapon, creating a shockwave. The fake Dragon Core malfunctions and drops, while the other two lower down safely.
"Sora!" Arin breathed.
"You will never stop."- Beatrix is cut off when Arin knocks her into a rift with Spinjitzu, she screams as she thrown and sucked into the rift.
"That's for Riyu."
Sora walks over to them. Lloyd walks up to her.
"You did it." He said, pulling off his hood. "I knew the elemental power was yours this whole time."
"You were right. I thought I needed Riyu." Sora looks down sadly. "Riyu."
Arin places his hand on her back. "That little dragon was a hero."
Zane and William come running up. "I don't mean to interrupt, but the Empress has caused us to reach the tipping point." Zane said as he and William pull off their hoods.
"The world-destroying MergeQuake storm has already begun." William added.

In Inside Ninjago, still in the safety of the Hanger Bay inside the Monastery of Spinjitzu. Young Wu hugs his mother tighter as he buries his face into her chest as the adult watch the sky with horror as the combination of all the rifts sucks in, then erupts into a giant rift coving the night sky.
"May the First Spinjitzu Master save us all!" Chantal gasped. "Lloyd, where are you?" She asks brokenly.
"Jiro and Zenth!" Rainn cried, pointing at the computer, and they watch as the two dragons are hurriedly returning home.
"Lloyd must've ordered for them to return home!" Chantal said, moving off her chair. She runs over to a door opens it, everyones yells when the vacuum of the giant rift threatens to suck them.
Jiro and Zanth hurried into the Hanger, and Chantal slams her left hand onto the button and the door closes. Both dragons nuzzle her gratefully and she smiles.
"Are you two ok?" She asks with worry, the dragons let soft roars. "You two were both very brave." She coos at them, earning licks from both dragons.

Inside Borg Tower, everybody is being evacuated to the basement. "Everybody, hurry!" CJ yells, while standing on a desk. "Get to the basement!"
"Junior!" Lou runs over to him. "We need to leave, now!" He grabs his grandson and they hurry off, following everybody.

Back in Imperium, the remaining Ninja are standing on the Destiny's Bounty. "We know how to stop this!" Lloyd yelled over the high powered wind. "We have two Dragon Energy Cores with us! We just need." He breaks off when the the Bounty's engine fails and he losses grip on the helm and the Bounty nose dives.
Suddenly something hits the Destiny's Bounty from underneath making the Ninja stumble around.
"What was that?" Arin asked, just before someone fell onto the deck and rolled before leaping up.
"And who's that?" Sora aded.
The new arrival turns to them, pulling off their hood. Revealing long dark red hair with a familiar face.
"SKYLOR!" Lloyd gasped, shocking Arin and Sora.
"The Skylor?" Arin asks. "As in Raya's mom?"
"Yes." Zane confirms with a nod.
"I hope I'm not crashing the party." Skylor said as she walked up to Lloyd, making the blonde laugh.
"You're a sight for sore eyes."
"How can we help?" The red head asked.
"We need to get back to the city and save it from this giant nightmare!"
"Where's Kai, Raya and Nya?"
Lloyd pauses, he turns to her. "We have to talk about that later."
"Lloyd, where's my family?"
"They … they got sucked in three different rifts."
Skylor gasps. "What?"
He turns to her fully. "Kai would want us to continue with the mission." He told her gently as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
A few tears slide down Skylor's cheeks. "You're right." She nods. "I want to help."
"Great! Cause we need all the help we need."
"Excuse me." Arin's voice had the two turn to see him standing there. "Um, but who's keeping the Bounty steady?"
Skylor smiles. "My dragon of course."

Back home in the city, the Ninja race to rescue citizens. A Pincher puppy tries to flee as an up side down truck follows him, the puppy slides to a stop when a fences blocks his path, suddenly Arin leaps in grabbing the pup and they make it to safety and the pup licks his face.
"Aww, who's a good boy?" Arin smiles as he pets the dog. Suddenly a rift opens up and he sees his parents inside, shocking the teen to the core. "Mom? Dad?" In a blink of an eye, the rift closes and Arin is left alone.
Zane rejoins Lloyd, who's now holding the Cores in his hands as they glow.
"The Spirit of the Temple said we need to unite all three Cores, but the third one's back at the Monastery! There's no time to get it here!"
"It's already on the way." Zane told him, and suddenly the Spinjitzu Race Care arrives while on autopilot, with Mr. Frohicky hugging the third Dragon Core.
The Spinjitzu Race Car races through the city. "I am not prepared to drive in these conditions! Look out! We're sorry!" Mr. Frohicky screams in terror as he continues to hug the Dragon Core. The car starts to pass the two Ninja, until Zane stops the car with Ice. "Did I bring the thing? To the place?" He breaths out as Lloyd walks up and the frog gives him the Core.
"Yep. Still the best Assistant Keeper of the Monastery ever."
Mr. Frohicky sighs heavily as he leans back in the driver seat and slouches as Lloyd hurries back.
The Ninja regroup, and Lloyd places the Dragon Cores on the ground and they al stare at them.
"What are those?" Skylor asks.
"Dragon Energy Cores." Lloyd answered. "They're the keys to stopping this madness."
"But what are we suppose to do with them now?" Arin asks.
"Just, put them together, maybe?" William suggested, he and Lloyd roll the three Cores together. But nothing happens.
"Ugh, why didn't they come with an instruction manual?" Arin complains.
"Like all things involving Source Dragons." Zane starts. "The details we have are stunningly vague."
Skylor frowns, looking at him. "The Source Dragon?" She asks.
"That's it!" Sora cried. "Lloyd, you're the conduit. If these Cores were made with the Source Dragons' power, then you might be able to process their power."
Arin turns to her. "We don't know what would do to Lloyd!"
Lloyd looks up at the sky, then gently places his hands on the Dragon Cores. "I have to give it a try, if it's the last thing I ever do." He closes his eyes to concentrate, but can't focus. "There's too much chaos. I can't focus. I can't do this!"
"Lloyd, your grandfather brought you back when you were on the brink of death." Skylor reminded. "You said that he said the world still needs the Green Ninja."
He looks at her. "Master Wu's words. Ninja never quit." He turns back to the Dragon Cores and closes his eyes, after a minute he opens them and his eyes glow brightly green.
Lloyd glows a bright green mixed with gold as he and the three Dragon Cores levitate in the air and the Dragon Cores start to spin around him, before rapidly spinning, he levitates higher and soon a shockwave bursts out throughout the whole city.

At the Monastery, the doors open to reveal those inside, walking out into the courtyard. "Wow." Young Wu smiled as he sat on Jiro's back. "It's back to normal!"

Lloyd levitates back to the ground and he stops glowing as he collapses. The Ninja run towards him.
"Lloyd!" Zane said as he and Skylor knelt down on either side of him and slowly lift his upper body up as he slowly wakes up.
"What … happened?"
"You saved the world." Arin smiles.
A noise is heard, Lloyd looks up and screams as Zane and Skylor quickly back away from him and Lloyd tries to brace for impact. But gets the wind knocked out of him when Kai drops sideways on him, followed by Nya, Raya, Wyldfyre, and lastly Riyu.
"What a wild ride." Raya said dizzily, she lifts her head and smiles down at Lloyd. "Hi Lloyd!"
"Hi." He wheezes out as Riyu jumps to Arin and Sora, the teens hug the baby dragon as Kai, Nya Raya and Wyldfyre slide off Lloyd.
"Nya!" William smiles, grabbing her in a hug.
"You did it Lloyd." Raya smiles as she and Kai help Lloyd up.
"Yeah buddy." Kai agrees, clamping Lloyd on the shoulder. "The Green Ninja saved the world again."
Skylor's yes grow. "Raya?"
Nya sees Skylor first, she gasps. "Ohmygosh!" Her hands fly to her mouth. "Skylor?"
Wordlessly Zane and William took a step backwards, making Arin and Sora frown as Kai spun around.
"What!?" He demands. "Where? Where? Where?" He franticly looks around.
Wyldfyre points at Skylor.
"MOM!" Raya screams, racing towards Skylor and tackling her. Kai turns.
"SKYLOR!" He races over and tackles both Skylor and Raya, grabbing both in a tight group hug.
Soon, all around them, citizens fall from the sky and look around. "What happened? I thought we were goners." A citizen said.
"The Ninja saved us." Another citizen beams. "It's true! They're really back!"
As the citizens cheer, Nya walks up to her family and Kai grabs her pulling into their family hug.
"Skylor, welcome back home." The water Ninja smiles at her.
"Thank you, Nya." Skylor returns the smile.
Sora smiles as she wipes a few tears as she watches the broken family being mended. The pink haired teen turns to Lloyd, who's still sitting on the ground with one Dragon Core in his lap while the other two are next to him.
"Do we take these things back to the temple now?" She asks.
"No. I have a better idea."

The Ninja return to the Monastery, Raya opens the doors.
"RAYA!" Maya races towards her, sending the door flying back and smacking Arin.
"Grandma." Raya wheezes as Maya squeezes her tightly.
"You did it!" Rainn smiles as everyone walks into the courtyard.
"It was mostly Lloyd." Sora smiled as she turns to him.
"Yeah." Kai laughed, punching Lloyd on the back playfully. "Once again the Green Machine saves the day."
Ray smiles as he looks around, then his eyes land on Skylor and his eyes grow. "Skylor?"
Skylor turns to him. "It's me." She smiles.
Both Ray and Maya walk up to her and grab her in a tight hug.
Arin smiles as he walks up to Raya. "Wow, your mom's pretty Raya."
She smiles. "Thanks." She turns to him. "I bet yours is too." She grabs his arm and pulls him toward her mother and grandparents. "Mom, you have to meet the new guys."
Skylor turns to the two teens. "New guys?" She asks.
Arin smiles at her. "Hi Mrs. Smith! My names Arin." He introduces himself. "Raya and Kai talk about you all the time!"
Skylor smiles. "Hello Arin. And please call me Skylor."
Chantal smiles as she walks up to Lloyd, he kisses her. "This is exactly why I stay." She told him, smiling as the two watch Skylor being introduced to all the new faces.
Raya moves over to them. "I was wrong Lloyd. I'm sorry for making you promise to find my mom."
Lloyd smiles at her. "I forgive you."
Chantal smiles. "I have an idea. How about instead of my cooking tonight. Skylor cooks one of her great meals?" She suggests.
Kai frowns. "I don't know about that. She literally just came back!"
Skylor smiles. "I don't mind at all."
Soon everyone enters the Monastery.

I still don't know how the new Mech shorts plays into Dragon's Rising. And with Cole's mention of Chen's Noodle House. I fought the urge of waiting to see when or if Skylor will return. So I decided to give Kai and Raya the ending they need.
Now when season 2 comes out, that'll be a who different ballgame!
