Chapter 28th

Leroy Jethro Gibbs had gotten abroad the Apache helicopter that had been sitting on the airfield in Ct. He had asked the pilot Colonel John Martin for a special favor since he was going to be paid well afterwards.

Colonel Martin had been retired from the service for the past five years and decided to open up his own helicopter business for the local . He came over to Gibbs wearing his grey sweats with the work order to head out to sea so that they can catch up to the U.S.S. Donaldson.

Gibbs had to explain to Martin in what he intends to be doing with getting on board the vessel and try to stop Major Edison Tompkins.

Moments later the both of them were on board the helicopter as Gibbs places on his helmet and earphones to listen to all of the transmissions. He will ask the Colonel to use the radio in order to send a message to NCIS in Washington, D.C.

"Gibbs are you sure the message will be able to get through to your director?" he asked with a serious tone of voice as he starts up the Apache helicopter.

Listening over the earphones. Gibbs will say the following. "I really don't know Colonel at this point of time." Gibbs advised.

MEANWHILE BACK AT WASHINGTON D.C.

Director Leon Vance waking up in his bedroom. His phone had been ringing off the hook with several people calling him and including the communications department of NCIS giving the director and update on what had been going on with Gibbs and the rest of the team working on the case.

"Lt. Roberts are you sure it was Gibbs sending the message?" he asked with taking in a deep breath with his lungs hurting slightly.

"Yes, sir! The message was loud and clear Director. He's in a helicopter with Colonel John Martin and he's going to try to stop the U.S.S. Donaldson." Lt. Roberts turned to face his co-worker from inside the communications room downstairs of NCIS.

"Son of a bitch! I told Gibbs not to be this wreck less with coming back from Alaska." he explained.

"I understand sir. Are there any further orders from you, sir?" he asked in a loud tone.

Thinking about it for the moment from inside his bedroom. "Not at the moment. Otherwise just be sure to monitor any further messages from Gibbs or Colonel Martin." he says.

"Sir, I will be sure to keep working on it. My shift is almost over, I will be sure to advise my replacement to keep track for any further broadcasts." he will say over the phone.

"Very well Lt. Roberts." it was at this point that Director Vance ended the conversation with Lt. Roberts. It didn't take long for Director Vance to make the decision to get cleaned up and dressed to head back to NCIS to find out further information on his team.
