The setting sun flooded the fields in a wash of fire and gold as the sleepy village awoke to greet the shuffle of folk returning home and visitors seeking rest.
As they approached, Yuya noticed Kyo studying the pink line where the spear had grazed her cheek.
"All good," Yuya assured, "I, ah, might have overreacted."
"When do you not?"
She stuck her tongue out and almost bit down as Kyo lowered his head. In a deep rumble, he murmured intimately in her ear.
And with a smirk, left her blushing and blundering at the entrance.
"Well done today, Yuya."
