Author's Note: A big thing is going to be happening with this fic. What exactly? Well, read the other Danny Phantom fic when it's out.

Until then, enjoy.

Dash Baxter was anything but scared. There were people who had thought he feared nothing, that he was all powerful, or just that brave.

But ever since two weeks ago, that changed.

Now, he was scared as all hell. It all started when that ghost haunted him. In the house at 7th Street Avenue. A ghost of a girl that haunted that house had scared him.

That was the first time in his life he felt vulnerable.

He felt scared.

He hated the feeling. He wanted to lash out, and attack the ghost for making him feel weak. For making himself feel scared. And yet he couldn't.

What could he do, it's not like he can just punch an intangible object. He was stuck in fear that that ghost may show up again, and spook him out of his socks. And how will he be able to live with that? With everyone staring at him, how many more people may take the fact that he was scared by a ghost, and use that against him.

He had hidden his face for two weeks now, with him just in his room, only really going down to eat or fill up his water bottle. His parents noticed that he looked terrible, and went up to him to talk.

"Sweetie, are you okay," Mrs. Baxter asked.

"Yes Mom, I'm fine," Dash said, annoyed.

"It's just… we haven't seen you out in a while," Mrs. Baxter said, "And we allowed you to have your space, but two weeks is enough space. Do you want to talk about it?"

Dash considered it, but ghosts were supposed to be seen as a fictional thing. Would his own parents think he was crazy? He was already a slacker at school, what if they mis-interpret this as an excuse to get out of school?

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," Dash replied.

This seemed to upset Dash's Mom.

"Well, if that's the way you want to say it, then you can go to school," Mrs. Baxter exclaimed, "You are not missing another week of school, do you hear me young man?"

Dash couldn't argue with that.

"Yes Mom," Dash said, as he got out to get ready.

(Later)

Sam, Danny, Tucker, Jazz, and Ember were with each other, with Sam explaining her powers and how she got them to Jazz and Ember. It was kind of getting tiring for her to explain what she can do, but she at least had something new to say.

"So, you're like a laser shooting ghost," Ember asked.

"Well, yeah, I guess that summarises it," Sam said, "Although, I have been trying to see if I can use telekinesis like Pointdexter did recently."

"And you got these powers from an accident involving the Ghost Portal," Jazz said, "And you don't know how to get rid of them."

"Yeah," Sam said, "Without that option, I'm left keeping them a secret from my parents."

"Speaking of your parents, what's happening between you too," Tucker asked.

"Since the whole Skulker thing, they allowed me to have this on hand," Sam said, as she pulled out a green and silver thermos.

"A thermos," Tucker exclaimed.

"Not just any thermos," Sam said, "If my parents are correct, it can actually catch ghosts."

"Capture ghosts."

They looked behind them, and saw Dash there.

"Hey there, Dash," Danny said, suspicious, "Haven't seen you in a while. What brings you here?"

"Uh…nothing of your notice…Fent-nerd," Dash said, as he left, embarrassed.

"What's up with him," Jazz asked.

"Beats me," Ember said, "He hasn't said a word ever since he got back."

Sam was actually feeling a bit guilty. She must've really scared him. He didn't even insult Danny, outside of calling him by the nickname he calls him by. Dash doesn't seem to be the same.

Suddenly, a voice inside her spoke to her. It was basically screaming, "ABOVE YOU!"

"Sam, what's wrong," Danny asked.

"Nothing, it's just…agh," Sam moaned, before a figure showed up from the roof.

It looked to be a ghost, with overalls and a beanie, light blue skin, and red eyes.

"BEWARE," he yelled in a… somewhat threatening voice, "I AM THE BOX GHOST, MASTER OF ALL THING SQUARE, CARDBOARD, AND TAPED! FEAR ME!"

Everyone started to run in fear, while Sam and the rest just stared in confusion.

"Seriously," Sam said, "A box ghost. What, were all the good ones taken? Cover for me."

The group understood as Sam ran towards the girls bathroom, only to accidentally trip over a bunch of students running in the opposite direction.

"Sam," Danny said, as she got knocked out, and the thermos fell out of her hands.

Dash was one of those who was running in the opposite direction, but then, he saw his friend, Kwan, being threatened by this ghost.

"NOW," he said, "PREPARE TO FALL UNDERNEATH…" before trying to read what this box was made for, "THE MIGHT OF… frog… dissection… tools… by !"

It was at that moment that something clicked in Dash. He saw the same night that that ghost haunted him, and he was unable to do anything against it. But not this time. He wasn't willing to let anyone go through that again.

He then grabbed the thermos next to the group.

"HEY, WEIRD GHOST GUY," Dash said, directing the Box Ghost's attention to him, "OVER HERE!"

"Weird ghost guy," the Box Ghost said, "I AM THE BOX GHOST, TREMBLE IN FEAR OF THAT NAME!"

"Yeah… sure," Dash said, with a bit of confidence, as he pulled out the thermos, "Now how does this thing work?"

He pulled the top of the thermos, as he looked for a button, all the while the Box Ghost attempted to catch him. Eventually, Dash noticed the button, and aimed it at the approaching Box Ghost, as a beam of light aimed at the Box Ghost. The Box Ghost realised what was about to happen, but it was too late. He then gets absorbed by the blinding light, and his form becomes less physical, and he is sucked into the thermos, before Dash closes it.

Dash then looks at the thermos, now realising that he has the power to trap ghosts.

"Dude, that was awesome," Kwan said, "Where'd you get that?"

"Just found it," Dash said, "And now, I know just what I can do with this."

(Meanwhile)

Sam eventually woke up, with a bit of a headache. She saw all of her friends surrounding her.

"What happened," Sam said.

"You were knocked out when everyone was panicking over the ghost," Danny explained, "But he seems to have left."

"Where is he now," Sam asked.

"Beats me," Tucker said, "He just sort of showed up, and then just disappeared."

That's when she noticed something that wasn't with her.

"Where's the thermos," Sam asked.

"Wait, what, you lost it," Tucker said.

"Ohh, mom's gonna kill me,"Sam moaned, before Danny grabbed something from his pocket… another thermos.

"Here, my parents wanted to have one too, just in case, but you can have it," Danny said, as he handed it over to Sam.

"Really," Sam asked, "What about your parents?"

"Are you kidding me," Danny said, "They wouldn't be half-surprised I lost mine. Ask Jazz, I lose a lot of things all the time."

"It's true, he does," Jazz said.

Sam just smiled, but still confused as to where the other thermos went.

(Later)

Dash had called Kwan to his house. Kwan was confused, but obliged to meet at the end of the school day.

"Dude, what's going on," Kwan asked, "You've been acting up ever since the last day before half-term. You didn't even talk to me, or Paulina, or Ember. What's going on?"

Dash sighed, 'He's my best friend… he can handle the truth.'

"Promise me you won't laugh," Dash said, "And you'd keep this a secret between us?"

"I promise dude," Kwan said.

"Remember when I said that Ember was in trouble the night before break," Dash asked.

"Yeah, and you really were excited to save her," Kwan said.

"Well, it turned out it was a trap, by a ghost," Dash explained, "I don't know what she was after, but she started to scare me, and I was starting to feel helpless against her, as she just… tormented me… like my suffering was something she enjoyed… and it was horrible."

"I wonder who that sounds like," Kwan said underneath his breath, before Dash revealed the thermos that he had.

"I found this with Manson, and heard it can trap ghosts," Dash said, "Now I can catch ghosts."

"What do you plan to do with it," Kwan asked.

"I was thinking I take a little bit of revenge against the girl who haunted me in a building," Dash replied, "But I don't want anyone to know. I just don't… okay. Can you help hide me?"

"Dude… you're like a brother to me," Kwan said, "Whatever you need, I'll be there. So, here, borrow this I stole from Foley."

It was a red beret that he stole from Tucker long ago.

"Maybe this could work as a good mask," Kwan said.

"Thanks," Dash said, as he looked at it, and considered how he was going to use it as a mask.

(Meanwhile)

Sam, Danny, Tucker, and Jazz just showed the Ghost Portal to Ember.

"So you were caught in that," Ember asked.

"Yep," Sam replied.

"It's a miracle you're still alive," Jazz replied, "Well, half alive."

"Thanks a lot," Sam said.

"So, how exactly do you prevent ghosts from coming out," Ember asked.

"Dad just recently added a safety wall that can only be activated," Danny said, "So nothing can get in or out without a Manson, or a Fenton."

Danny then leaned on a desk, only for the portal to open, revealing that Danny accidentally turned off the lock, as the portal. Quickly, Danny took his hand of the ID lock, but it was too late, as a figure came out, all code based, as it gained a form with spiky hair, dark sunglasses, and a white trench coat.

"I AM TECHNUS," it shouted, "GHOST MASTER OF ALL TECHNOLOGY AND ELECTRONICS!"

"Another one," Sam said, "Isn't one already enough?"

She then turned into a ghost, as she headed towards the ghost.

"Well, I may not be the one to beat Box Ghost," Sam said, "But I hope you won't be as lame as he was."

"Oh don't worry, child," Technus replied, as he started levitating the tech around him, "I promise you, I will be a much bigger threat."

Technus then launched the wires at Sam in an attempt to hold her down, only for Sam to phase through it. Then, Technus levitated the PDA that Tucker had, and threw it at Sam, but Sam just went intangible.

"Man, I got to learn how to levitate objects," Sam said, as she launched herself at Technus, throwing him out of the room, up the floors, passing by Pam and Maddie.

"Alright, who activated the ID lock," Maddie asked, as Tucker, Jazz, and Ember moved away from Danny.

"I'm in trouble, aren't I," Danny said.

"We'll talk about this later," Maddie said, "Pam, get Jack and Jeremy on the line, we'll continue this conversation later."

Maddie then went down, as Pam went to the phone to call Jeremy and Jack.

"What do you think they were talking about," Ember asked.

"Pretty sure they were arguing who was the better cook," Danny sighed.

Sam meanwhile, pushed Technus all the way out of the house, and into the sky above. Technus then shocked the girl with a lightning rod he pulled out, launching her down to the streets.

"Soon, all the world's technology will be mine to control," Technus said, "And nothing you can do can stop me."

"Yeah, but I can!"

Sam and Technus then looked behind Technus and saw a muscular figure, holding a white and green thermos, and wearing a red mask with eye holes.

"Ugh, I regret taking something like this, this reeks," Dash said underneath his breath, "You two will not be able to hurt anyone, not as long as I'm here."

Sam noticed the voice almost immediately.

"Dash," Sam said in shock.

Dash then opened the thermos.

"I've been waiting a long time for this," Dash said as he aimed at Sam.

Technus meanwhile couldn't help but marvel at the tech.

"Very interesting technology there young man," Technus said.

"Thanks, mind if you have a look," Dash said, as he aimed the thermos at Technus, launching a flash of light that sucked him up.

"Now as for you," Dash said, directing his attention to Sam, aiming the thermos to her.

"What are you doing," Sam asked.

"This is for revenge, for what you did to me back at the warehouse," Dash yelled.

"Ok, for that, I understand what I did was wrong, and I never got the chance to apologise for you for that," Sam said.

"Don't expect that," Dash said, "You made me feel weak and scared for weeks."

"And what, it's okay for you to do that to other people," Sam asked, "Look what I did to you was wrong, but I only did that because you were harming those kids. So if you can't see what you did to deserve that, then you must be the biggest hypocrite of all time."

Suddenly, just Sam finished, the thermos to start bubbling, and suddenly, a green shock of electricity knocked the thermos out of Dash's hand, as the white parts turned black.

It levitated in midair, as it grew, created a face, and screeched.

"Oh yeah, I can make use of this," Technus replied, as it grew, becoming around human size, gained arms and legs, with the arms having glowing green holes, and a robot head.

"OH YES," Technus said, "Now, face the wrath of Technus, as I show you how much stronger I am now!"

"Are you also more annoying now," Sam asked, sarcastically, as she launched an ecto beam, only for a beam of light to engulf her, as she slowly felt her body becoming less physical, as she was sucked into the now enlarged, and heavily armed thermos.

"OH-HO-HO-HO YEAH, NOW I'M REALLY STARTING TO LIKE THIS," Technus laughed as he looked at the now defenceless human.

Dash's fear started to build up again. As the bot slowly walked to him, he felt his fear start to take him over again. Now, he had no defences, and the ghost that haunted him for weeks, was just sucked up like nothing.

That's when another blast came. It came from Maddie, holding a giant anti ghost bazooka over her shoulder, before Jack, wearing the ghost gauntlets, launched a flurry of punches.

Jeremy then came into play, as he held another thermos, and started tinkering with it, while Pam covered for him.

Jack, meanwhile, kept attacking, with Technus launching back his own attacks, before Jack could block them, and knocked him back to Jeremy's position.

"Jeremy, what are you doing," Jack asked.

"You saw that thing turn the thermos against us," Jeremy said, "I'm trying to make sure it doesn't happen again, but I need more time."

"Ok, then, I'll buy you some time, J-man," Jack said.

"Don't ever call me that again," Jeremy said, as he continued tinkering.

The battle continued to rage on, Dash just watched as the Mansons and the Fentons battled against the ghosts fearlessly. Seeing them, it felt… inspiring. He made fun of Fenton and Manson for their "ghost hunting" parents in the past, but now, it genuinely feels like there facing threats that our world cannot even comprehend was real.

Jeremy suddenly stopped tinkering.

"Done, get him out of that thermos, and we can shove him into this one," he said.

"Alright, you heard him," Jack said, "Time to get out of there."

Jack then reached for the thermos, only for him to blast back.

"You ain't moving me anywhere," Technus yelled, as he blasted Jack, Jeremy, Maddie, and Pam.

Dash then saw Jeremy let go of the thermos, as once again, it rolled towards him, tempting him to pick it up.

At that moment, Dash felt all of his fear go away. He was no longer just gonna stand as people he saw give their lives to die.

He wasn't going to just stand by and let these… These ghosts, try to destroy everything that they as a society held dear.

They want Amity Park, they'll have to go through him.

He picked up the thermos, and then launched himself at Technus.

"Hey, what are you doing," Technus yelled.

"Giving you a warning," Dash said, as Technus aimed at him, only Dash to aim back with the thermos, and suck in the energy he was sucking in.

"Listen up punk, my name is Dash Baxter," Dash boasted, "And this is a warning to you and to all ghosts like you. You want Amity Park, you'll have to go through me."

The energy then continued to be sucked up, as something appeared out of him. Technus' spirit started to lose grip of the vessel he was possessing, as he got sucked in.

"I'll be back child, mark my word, I'll be back," Technus yelled, as Dash closed the thermos on him.

Dash breathed a sigh of relief as the thermos in front of him changed back to its normal self.

Dash then sighed, as Jack came to him.

"Kid…" Jack said, "You want to talk?"

(Later)

Dash just came out of a room, now wearing a red jumpsuit, with goggles and a hood to protect his identity to the public. He was also equipped with a steel belt that, according to Jeremy, is supposed to repel ghosts.

"I still can't believe you allowed me this," Dash said, "To allow me access to all of your devices and weaponry."

"Hey, anyone who's willing to join in fighting the things that goes bump in the night is all right by me," Jack replied.

Dash then left the room, while Danny, Tucker, Ember, and Jazz were in the kitchen, attempting to free Sam, successfully pushing her out of the thermos. Outside the thermos, she changed back to human form.

"Sam, you okay," Danny asked.

"A bit dazed, and I feel like my organs are crushed, but yeah, I'm good," Sam said.

It was at that moment that Dash went up, now in the new jumpsuit.

And all Tucker, Sam, and Jazz could do was laugh.

"Oh my god, you look ridiculous," Tucker laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," Dash said.

As he did, he then approached Danny. And he did the unthinkable. He apologised

"Uh, hey uh, Fenton," Dash said, "I know that… I'm a bit of a jerk. But… If I truly want to have that ghost that haunts me gone… I have to be better than her. So… I'm sorry… for bullying you for years."

"Uhh… wow… Thanks, Dash," Danny said, still in utter shock of this.

"That might've been the nicest thing you ever did…," Ember said, chuckling.

"Yeah well, tell anyone, and you're dead," Dash said, as he left the front door.

"Yep, there's the Dash we know," Sam said.

"You do realise he swore revenge on you, right," Jazz said.

Sam just started to process this fact. Now, she has yet another complication in her life.

"Oh boy," Sam thought to herself.

Author's Note: So, yeah, in case you aren't aware, Dash is this world's version of the Ghost Slayer. I thought it would be unique take on the character, and would make for a really fun story. I'm also starting to finish the third chapter of the Hilda fanfic, so that should come soon.

Anyway's hope you enjoy it. See you next time.
