Percy's P.O.V.:
(Crowley says if I don't tell you guys what happened next he would get Annabeth to tell you. Dam him.)
Anyway, where was I, right being dragged to the girl's bathroom by Clarisse, daughter of Ares and a few of her siblings. They were going to give me a swirly when the next thing I knew all the plumbing exploded. Sinks gone, shower heads and pipes obliterated, and the toilets were now geysers. I had no clue how it happened.
The water was everywhere and somehow I was miraculously dry. The Ares kids left. "Nice I'm going to have to talk to Luke now." I heard a voice say but I could swear I was alone now. That's when the blonde appeared out of thin air holding a Yankee cap. She was also soaked. "Don't worry about the water Azira and Crowley will clean it up. But I think that I want you on my team for capture the flag." She added before leaving.
Well, that was a few days ago and I noticed that at meal times that Crowley and Mr. Fell sat by their selves and not with any cabin. Even though they claim to be a part of the Demeter and Athena cabins respectively. I asked Luke about it. "Don't ask about them just leave them be. Even Mr.D. leaves them alone." He explained.
"Are you sssure you want to play tonight angel? We could just have the beach to ourselves without having to look like kids." I heard Crowley ask before turning his attention to a plant he had at the table. Mr. Fell smiled at Crowley.
"Quite sure my dear. We have been here for years and have yet to participate in the weekly capture the flag game. And I believe that we will be on opposing sides. Like old times." Mr. Fell responded making that last bit seem like an inside joke between them but Crowley didn't find it funny.
Crowley then sighed and he changed to how I remembered him from before I got here. Mr. Fell also changed into a twelve-year-old but his hair was still the white blond it was before a bit longer maybe and thanks to Crowley now wearing something other than his usual suit with the silly plaid sorry tartan bow tie. Both of them now wore the camp shirt and capri pants Mr. Fell's were his usual beige and Crowley's were black with red details. I was going to question it but Luke told me to leave it so I will for now.
After dinner was the game of capture the flag and Annabeth daughter of Athena had left me guarding our team's flag alone so I couldn't ask Mr. Fell my questions. "Crowley untie me." I heard someone call from my right.
"Where isss the fun in that angel? I jusst did a little temptation I'm sssure he'll ssurvive thisss." I heard Crowley hiss back before Clarisse and some of her siblings came after me. How could Crowley think I could survive this?
I ended up breaking Clarisse's spear and she wasn't happy about it. I guess Mr. Fell untied himself because he was now fighting with Crowley on my left. But it seemed more like flirting. Clarisse and her siblings had to go after someone who got their flag. "That went well remind me to thank Crowley for distracting his boyfriend and telling Clarisse that you were here alone." I heard a voice say to my right and and Annabeth appeared.
"You planned this." I was angry and she laughed until we heard a growl. That's when a great big black dog attacked me. Crowley cussed something that I won't repeat. He wasn't happy about the dog either. Annabeth was scared for me but I eventually killed it.
"It has begun angel. Here we go again." Crowley whispered and Mr.Fell looked up before what appeared to be flying off to get the others. When they got there they all knelt except for Crowley but he did a little thing that showed that I had his respect and Mr.Fell who looked worried for me.
"All hail Perseus Jackson, son of the sea god, shaker of the earth, Lord of horses, bringer of waves, Poseidon." Chiron announced. I looked up to see a disappearing symbol of a trident above my head. The next day I was moved into cabin three. Where I found Crowley and Mr.Fell waiting for me.
"We wanted to say goodbye before we head out. But I'm sure we will run into you soon." Mr. Fell explained.
"Mr. Fell..." I started when he cut me off.
"Aziraphale. Most of the campers just call me Azira though and well Crowley calls me something else." He started rambling.
"Anyway as he was saying we are heading out. And will meet up with you soon. A friend of ours needs us. He's in Virginia somewhere close to D.C. so we will probably take him to the museums and the botanical gardens." Crowley explained pulling out car keys. I watched them head out hearing Azira say that he is never playing capture the flag again. Crowley seemed happy with that as if that was his plan all along, for a child of Demeter he acts like a Hermes kid. I followed them to the hill wondering what they were driving off in I got there just in time to see the old Bentley from my mom's place speeding off and to hear what I would guess was Queen fading off in the distance as they speed off.
Crowley's P.O.V.:
We had a few days with Warlock at most so yeah I'm speeding. All he knows is that Angel and I were stateside not the where. But when we met him he was running from something. "Nanny help me there's this weird thing after me and why do you two have wings?" He asked hiding behind me.
"Long story for another time. What's after you?" Aziraphale asked and Warlock pointed at a hellhound that was being followed by a teenaged boy trying to get it to come back. Well at least Warlock wasn't in trouble it was just Adam and Dog. Why they were in America I had no clue. Aziraphale who already had a sword drawn lowered it.
"There you are Dog. I told you not to run off on me like that we aren't in England anymore." Adam chided the hound in question before noticing us. " Oh hi Aziraphale, Crowley is this where you've been for the last five years? And what's with the orange shirt Crowley?" He asked and I looked down to see if I was indeed wearing the camp shirt. I forgot to change on the way over it seems.
"Adam you know better than to let your dog chase people. What are you doing in America anyway?" I responded deciding not to talk about the camp shirt. He just shrugged it off.
"What a guy can't move away from his friends it's called a foreign exchange program. But seriously I want one of those shirts I've seen purple ones I'm trying to get one of those two." He explained. What caught me off guard was when he told me where the purple shirts were on the other side of the states. Warlock for the most part calmed down now and I sighed.
"Since you're here would you like to join us? We were going to the museums for the next few days I'm sure the hotel will let Dog in." Aziraphale offered. I wanted to say no but we only had a few days before Anethama said that Percy would leave camp and we would have to meet him in New Jersey. Something about a bus catching fire and then a lady of snakes. Not looking forward to that. But anyway Adam agreed if I gave him the shirt. I don't see why not, I don't need it.
Our hotel was in D.C. on the second floor because of Dog. Even better we almost didn't get our room because they overbooked due to a wedding. But Aziraphale handled it. We got our keys and I parked the Bentley not trusting anyone else to drive it.
Those days went in a blur at least they were on summer break. "Can we come with you? I'm always looking for adventure and Dog can help." Adam asked then Warlock wanted to go two. And before I could say no Angel said sure and started explaining what was going on. Holding almost nothing back.
"So the son of Poseidon like the Greek god and the daughter of Athena need help from my old nanny and gardener. Okay, I'll bite what are you two going to do no offence Frances but you aren't scary. Nanny is surely terrifying. But are you going to flap your wings and poke monsters with a stick while Nanny sets them on fire?" Warlock asked from the backseat of the Bentley. I was trying not to laugh as we passed the sign for New Jersey. The voice of Freddie Mercury was soon the only voice in the car as I sped. And no Angel I won't slow down we need to meet with Percy. I don't want to know what that idiot got himself into this time.
Annabeth's P.O.V.:
(Percy let me talk you do a really terrible job.)
Any way I'll pick up after Azira and Crowley left camp. Yes, I knew about Adam and Warlock and their other friends from back home. Well, names at least but there was a book that Aziraphale guarded he showed it to me once. It was a book of prophecies. One caught my attention.
1145) Wisedom's daughter, son of sea beware the one wronged by both parents. Find help in the one who can see through the veil and the son of beasts who know one with wings of white and wings of black. Trust the black snake when seen it will keep you safe.
I saw that before Percy came to camp. And it came to the front of my mind as Percy had to go see the oracle. I then volunteered to go with him. Luke wasn't happy. But handed Percy a pair of shoes. Which he quickly handed to Grover. We then got dropped off at the bus station. That was when the Furies got on the bus. At least they waited until we were in New Jersey to fight us. That ended with the bus on fire and most of our stuff lost in the fire. We did get lost in the woods for a while until Grover started to smell something fried. Percy and I followed him.
We found the highway and a garden center. We thought that would be a good place to get directions. That's where I saw a familiar black Bentley pull into the lot. Two boys left the back seat and went around the back of the building. I overheard one of them saying that their pet dog had a bad feeling about this place. The other boy must have asked why they were going through the back. I was going to say something to Grover and Percy when they dragged me in.
That's where I found the two boys at a table being fed by a woman in sunglasses and a hair cover in fact everything was covered but her hands. The woman turned her attention to the three of us. "Too bad you left Dog in the car I'm surprised Nanny let you take him in the car though." One of the boys said.
"Won't stop Dog if he thinks I'm in danger he'll come help if he can." The other said. I couldn't hear more because I was suddenly focused on the hissing of snakes. The lady then noticed that the two boys left and she went to find them. Something must have caught their attention. While she was out Azira walked in and told us that we should look for the boys and a black snake right but for now he will be in the car. He walked out just as the woman came back. I guess she never found the boys.
But why were they here? I didn't have time to think about it as Percy was leading me to a bench. The good news is I could see one of the boys from earlier he made a quiet motion and was trying to give me a hint of what we were up against. As if he could see through everything he held up a piece of broken glass and pointed to Anthony the snake who made his way in. With a wave of Anthony's tail, we all had sunglasses on this angered the woman who went after the other boy. Then there was a low growl that I would only associate with a Hellhound. Things got crazy then Percy took off his sunglasses, mine broke, and Grover fell and lost his.
One of the boys was chasing a dog that was clearly a hellhound and the other one made himself comfortable on a chair to watch everything Anthony joined the boy in the chair. When the first boy caught his dog he told it to go back to the car. It surprisingly listened to the teen. Anthony seemed protective of the teen boy in the chair since when the woman came close to him the snake hissed ready to attack I also noticed that his eyes were really unfocused as if he was blind. He must be shedding. Azira normally collected Anthony's shed skin I don't know why but the black feather pens he writes with also have to come from somewhere. Right back to the story.
The woman turned out to be Medusa. The one wronged by both my mother and Percy's dad, Anthony was the black snake and now I just have to piece together the rest of it. These two boys are older than Percy one seems fine with the whole monsters being real thing and the other just disconnected as if they just managed to see behind the curtain. Medusa got annoyed with Anthony protecting the boy and moved him. He hissed in anger then quickly shifted into a well-put-together woman the only things unnatural about her were the black wings coming from her back that quickly covered the chair boy's face and the snake tongue hissing from her mouth. The other boy tossed something to get Medusa away from them before vanishing to somewhere else. But that boy left Percy wide open but he didn't look scared as if they talked about it. And when Medusa went after Percy he chopped her head off with the reflection in his shield to guide him. The first boy came back over laughing taking his sunglasses off and handing them back to Anthony who was a guy again the wings were gone and he looked the same as always. The other boy did the same.
"Right meet you five in the car. I believe that we are to drop you three at the train station." Crowley explained before heading out. We continued to look around for a while and looted it. Finding money, gold drachmas, and a few bottles of water. Neither we nor the two boys wanted the head of Medusa and Percy came up with a bad idea to send it to the gods. "Do it if I could send it to the one who hurt Nanny I would." One of the boys told Percy implying that all gods no matter from where are the same.
"You forget Warlock you wouldn't have met them if it didn't happen. " the other boy said back but it wasn't a no so I tried to tell Percy that the gods would think he was impertinent and Grover was worried about getting in trouble. But it was too late Percy only listened to the boy named Warlock and sent the box he got to put Medusa's head in to the gods. Waiting outside for us next to the car was the hellhound that came running over to start kissing the unnamed boy.
"How did you train a hellhound? And why is it so small?" Grover asked the boy.
"This is Dog I didn't have to do anything to train him. He just listens to me just like reality to an extent. Anyway, cool shirts Crowley said he'll get me one." He replied before getting into the car with his dog following him. Azira made sure we were all okay as we got in the car. That's when the news came on two stories were interesting one was about Percy and his mother and the second was about the two boys in the car with us were reported kidnapped Warlock's dad works with the government apparently. The second boy Adam was a foreign exchange student from England.
"My parents don't really care they just want me to be around to pose for photos with them. Aziraphale and Crowley were there for more of my childhood than my own parents." Warlock sighed. Azira doesn't seem like the type of person to kidnap anyone, Crowley on the other hand probably would. "And it's not kidnapping if I asked to come I had questions." Warlock added. Percy, Grover and I were still a little nervous about the hellhound in Adam's lap. When we pulled up to the train station as if by magic Crowley pulled out three new bags for us from the trunk.
"Now Percy don't do anything stupid angel, your friends and I aren't always going to be around to help you." Crowley told him before getting back in the car. We watched the car leave blasting Queen. Neither of us spoke until we got on the train.
"Did you guys find anything off about those boys?" Grover asked.
"Other than one of them having a hellhound as a pet no. The other looked like he was trying to take in the fact the supernatural exists." I replied.
"But are we going to gloss over the fact that Crowley can shape-shift into a snake, a kid and a woman? Can Azira do that two?" Percy asked and we just shrugged it off. I knew for a fact that Azira could be a woman if he wanted to everyone in camp did.
"Not a snake that's a Crowley thing but I think once this is over we should take Adam to camp he would probably fit right in." Grover explained.
"And his dog?" I shuddered thinking of the hellhound the boy kept as a pet. But Percy was freaking out about the fact that Azira can also shape-shift. Anyway our train was going to stop in St. Louis and I wanted to see the arch. This is where we're going to leave you for now.
