"Is it possible to become a hero even if I don't have a quirk?!"

"I'm a normal kid without any powers. Could I ever hope to be someone like YOU?!"

At that moment, All Might clutch his body, and some mist covered him. Midoriya hadn't noticed yet until the fog was cleared. It revealed a skinny skeleton-like blonde man.

"HUHHHHHH???!!!!"

His image of his idolized Hero has gone shattered.

Midoriya screams as he witnesses the sudden appearance of the skinny man.

"I— Wait. Who...?" The young man wondered. "What happened? You deflated! Ah! Where'd All Might go?" He searched for his Hero's whereabouts. Then he started accusing the man in question as an imposter.

All Might (?) sighed at him.

"I assure you that I am All M—" All Might (?) started dripping blood from his mouth.

Midoriya started screaming again. All Might explains how his body can be buff and full of muscles, but the Boy still denies it. The skinny man had no choice but to show the Boy a wound he'd gotten five years prior. He also explains that he can only do Hero work for three hours a day.

"I'm supposed to be the guy who's always smiling, right? I'm the Symbol of Peace." All Might commented.

He explained that he only smiled to hide his fear that it was just a mask that he had to put on everyone. Midoriya gasped in disbelief. Then the Pro hero started lecturing him that being a hero always involves risking their lives, and villains can't be defeated without powers.

"So, can you be a hero? Not without a Quirk." He quoted.

He told the Boy that if he wanted to help people, he should take a different path other than become a hero, "Be realistic." he said. After that, he left Midoriya alone on the rooftop.

BOOM!!!

— ITSUKI POV —

"Whoa! What happened?!"

"I don't know!"

"Um, Ling-san is everything all right?" I asked.

"There seems to be an incident going on nearby. We will have to cancel the photoshoot and head home." Ling-san replied.

"Oh, then I'll go ahead now, see you next time. Thank you for your hard work, everyone." I left early than I expected.

I stared at the smoke coming from afar.

"Hmm... that place..."

— MEANWHILE, AT THE EXPLOSION SITE —

"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧. 𝙄 𝙝𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙟𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙥𝙤𝙩. 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙠 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙈𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝." The Sludge Villain said while taking hold of Bakugo and keeping him hostage.

The Boy is struggling and tries to escape from the Villain's grasp. Even the Pro Heroes attempted to beat the Villain but failed.

Mt. Lady arrives at the scene but cannot go in because she's too big.

"My only weakness! I need at least a two-lane road if I'm gonna make my way through here." She said.

"Fire and wood don't exactly make a good combination. I'll let someone else stop this guy." Kamui Woods reasoned while rescuing four civilians.

"Don't look at me. I've got my hands full here. Where are those fire trucks? Can you guys get to him?" Back draft said while extinguishing the fire.

"Can't get a grip on his weird body. Plus, that kid's Quirk's causing explosions left and right." Death Arms said. The Sludge Villain attacks the Pro Heroes. Thankfully, they dodged. "It's no good. None of us has the right Quirks to stop a villain like this!"

"We'll do damage control until someone with the right powers shows up." Another hero commented.

The Pro Heroes couldn't think of a way to save the young man, so they had no choice but to stand by and watch. Even the No. 1 Hero was watching from the sidelines.

— IZUKU POV —

"He'll never be a hero. Better to find out now instead of later.

"Make sure your dreams are attainable."

'I was devastated hearing that reality, deep down I've known all along but continued avoiding it, even All Might said it. A hero needs a Quirk.' I thought while staring at my notebook. "I'm sorry Itsuki-chan..."

BOOM!!!

"That's strange. Is the fight from earlier still going on?"

'Why am I here? Did I subconsciously walk this way to check it out? I shouldn't even stop. All my notes are useless.'

"𝙂𝙍𝘼𝘼𝘼𝘼𝘼𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃!!!!"

'That's the guy who attacked me!' I gasped in shock when I saw the sludge villain that had attacked me earlier.

Then I remembered that time with All Might. I realized that the bottle was gone from his pocket.

'That means... It's my fault.'

I feel so guilty it's my fault that he dropped the Villain.

"Wait, I'm confused. Isn't that the Villain All Might was chasing earlier today?" An onlooker said.

I gasped at hearing that.

"What? All Might?! No way he lost, where is he?" Another man asked.

"Well, can someone call him or something?" A woman asked this time.

"Seriously! Why hasn't he shown up to help the heroes?"

— THIRD-PERSON POV —

'I'm the one to blame. He wasted his energy on me.'

'I'm worthless.' All Might while clutching his chest.

'He can't power up yet. And none of the other heroes have the Quirks to stop this monster.'

'So pathetic...'

'It's my fault. I'm sorry. So sorry.'

'A disgrace.'

'Help will show up and save the day, I'm sure.'

'I'm not a real hero.'

'Someone... A real hero will come soon.'

Itsuki was almost at the scene, and she saw Midoriya.

"Zuzu?"

Midoriya didn't notice her, but he saw his childhood friend Bakugo was the one taken hostage, and he saw an expression he had never seen before

FEAR

and without knowing...

"ZUZU!!"

He started running. All Might, Pro Heroes, and the spectators were shocked to see the Boy running towards the Villain.

"No, you idiot! Stop! You're gonna get yourself killed!" Death Arms warned him, but he didn't listen.

"Zuzu, wait! Stop!" Itsuki shouted while trying to pass the crowd.

"𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣." Sludge Villain

'Deku?' Bakugo thought.

'What am I doing? Why am I running? Why can't I stop?' Midoriya asked himself.

"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙠𝙞𝙙!" The Villain was about to attack the young Boy.

'What do I do? What would a hero do right now?' Then he remembered something.

Pre-emptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison:

Quickly stretch out arms (vines) to make the opponent flinch back, and then use that opening to restrain them.

'Page 25! Right!' He threw his backpack at the Villain. "Take this!" The bag hit the villain's eyes.

"Kacchan!" He shouted while trying to free his classmate.

"What the hell? Why are you here?" Bakugo said.

"I dunno. My legs... They just started... moving!" Midoriya replied.

'I don't know why I did what I did.'

'Sorry, kid...'

'I'm the one to blame.'

'Be more confident in yourself.'

'You really think they'd let someone like you...'

'He's the coolest in the universe!'

'Kacchan!'

'I've wanted to be a hero...'

'Zuzu!'

'I honestly don't think you can become a hero...'

'There's always a smile on his face...'

'You can still become a HERO even if your quirkless.'

'Maybe it was the look on his face.'

"Kacchan! I couldn't just stand there and watch you die!"

"Get the hell off me!" Katsuki shouted while trying to free himself.

"I have to do something. No matter the cost." All Might said while trying to transform once more.

"Just a little bit longer, kid. And I'm done playing with you!" The villain was about to hit the green-haired kid.

"Save the boy! This thing'll kill him!"

SWOOSH!!!

Midoriya felt something wrapped around his waist and was pulled away. He grunted when he hit on his butt on the ground. He look at the thing on his waist and saw chains wrapping around him.

"Are you okay, Izu?!"

"HUH?! Itsuki-chan?!" Midoriya asked in shock when he saw Itsuki.

"Damn, you—!" The Sludge launched at himself the girl to swipe her away.

Itsuki dodged by jumping in the air and drop-kicked the Sludge's eyes. Which made the villain grunt in pain again. Itsuki used her chains once more and wrapped Bakugo with them. With enough strength, she was able to free him and was brought to her side.

"You okay?!" Itsuki asked in worry but was answered by coughing for air.

"You little bitch! I'LL KILL YAH!!!!!" The villain attempted to hit again but was blocked by All Might.

"I really am pathetic." The No. 1 Hero commented himself.

"All Might. But..." Midoriya gasped in disbelief.

"I told you the traits that make a great champion, But I see now I wasn't living up to my own ideal. Pros are always risking their lives! That's the true test of a hero!" All Might said.

"Damn you, All Might!" The Villain said in anger.

"Detroit... Smash!"

Itsuki switched her weapon into her gigantic shield and protected her friends in time.

The No. 1 Hero blew away the villain with his signature move that caused creating a tornado.

Itsuki and the All Might were gasping because they are tired.

Clouds formed in the sky and started raining because of that flames from the buildings have extinguished.

"Holy crap. He changed the weather." Death Arms commented.

The onlookers start cheering for All Might for defeating the Sludge Villain.

"He changed the weather with a single punch like it was nothing!"

"All Might saved the day again, he's amazing!"

The shield that the girl was holding faded away and turned to Midoriya. She grabbed him by the collar and shakes tremendously him.

"What do you think you're doing?!!!!!!!!!" She shouted while ignoring the crowd.

"What were you thinking rushing in recklessly like that?! Do you want to get yourself killed?! You almost gave me a heart attack!!!"She starts yelling at him while shaking him so hard.

"U-U-U-U-UM, I-I-I-ITSUKI-CHAAAAAAN!!!!"

"SAY YOU'RE SORRY!!!"

"I-I-I-I-I'M SO SO SO SORRY!!!!" He said while still being shaken by her friend.

"I'm glad that you're not hurt."

She finally let go and approached Bakugo checking him if his injured.

— IZUKU POV —

'After that, the heroes collected all the scattered mounds of sludge. And the villain went into police custody where he belonged.All Might was now surrounded by reporters and was being interviewed.'

"You moron. Do you have a death wish?" Kamui Woods scolded me.

"There was absolutely no reason for you to put yourself in danger like that!" Followed by Death Arms.

I got chewed out by the heroes, big time. While Kacchan was praisedfor his bravery.

"Hold on! Can't you take it easy on my friend?" Itsuki-chan was trying to defend me.

"This is none of your concern girl. What he did was reckless and could get himself killed." Back Draft said to her.

"I understand that he did something reckless, but Izuku was just trying to save our friend!"

Backdraft stared at her in anger.

"We should say the same to you too. You used your quirk just now." This time it was Kamui Woods. "You know, you will get yourself in jail by using it."

"So you're saying I'm supposed to wait on the sidelines like YOU who did nothing!" She retorted that made the two Heroes silent. "You did nothing at all! You just stand there and let my friend suffer!"

"W-Well, our quirks are incompatible and we couldn't hit the villain!"

"So what?! Think outside the box, Man! Use your brain for once! What did you learn in your school?! Just because your quirks aren't a match for this villain doesn't mean you can't do anything!"

"Um, Itsuki-chan... I think you need to calm down." I said to her.

"Don't tell me to calm down!!!" She shouted at me.

"Eeek!!!" I screeched in fear.

She looks back at them.

"Look! Your Heroes, you're supposed to think of another plan to save a hostage. If you guys think your quirks aren't good in these kinds of situations then improvise! And work hard! Do whatever it takes to save everyone!"

Instead of her being scolded by the Heroes. It was Itsuki-chan scolding the Pro-Heroes.

'Itsuki-chan is scary when she's angry!'

"Hey! Aren't you Itsuki Emiya?" A reporter approached us.

"Yeah, you're right it's Itsuki Emiya the famous model!" One of the reporters shouted.

Then all of the attention turned to Itsuki-chan and starts surrounding her.

"Miss Emiya, how does it feel like when you were saved by All Might?"

"How were you able to save the hostage?"

"What is your quirk?"

"Are you aiming to become a Hero?"

"What is your relationship with those two young men?"

I started blushing from that last question.

- /TIME SKIP / -

I was on my way home.

'I wanted to apologize to All Might, but he was swarmed by interviewers. I didn't wanna interrupt. I can always try to send a message through his website when I get home.'

"Deku!" I heard someone shout at me so I turned around and so Kaachan run after me.

"Kacchan?"

He finally caught up to me and said.

"Listen. I would never ask for a weakling like you to help me. Don't think you can look down on me! Huh?! Got that?! I was fine by myself! You're just a Quirkless failure who won't even cut it as a rent‐a‐cop! You didn't help me. You did nothing! Don't forget it!" He turned away. "I don't owe you anything!"

'What was that?' I sweatdropped. 'Kacchan is right, though. It's not like I actually did anything to help today unlike Itsuki-chan she was able to rescue him. But... At least I tried. Guess now I should get back to giving up on my dreams.'

"IZU!!!"

"Huh? Itsuki-chan?!"

"Ha...Ha...Ha...I finally caught you."

"What?"

"Are you okay?"

"Eh?"

"I know that you're feeling down from what they said. So I came to cheer you up to comfort you!"

"It's alright Itsuki-chan, I'm totally fine. Thank you for defending me back there, but they were right though I did something reckless and made you in trouble."

"It's not — "

"I AM HERE!"

"WAAAAAHHHHHH!!! All Might! Where'd you come from? Uh, how'd you get rid of all those reporters?" I said in shock while scanning the area for the paparazzi.

All Might starts laughing at my question.

"I stand for justice! Not soundbites! Because I— I AM ALL MI—*BLEUGHH*" Then his body turned into a skeleton.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" I screamed again.

"Huh? What's going on? Why's All Might here? And why is he like that?!" Itsuki shouted in confusion. "Care to explain?"

'Yikes Itsuki-chan saw him.'

"UHHHHH... He's NOTAll Might... He's just someone I know... UH...UH...UH "FRIEND" in a-a-a store I visited a-a-a a while ago. He's just a NORMAL sickly-looking man. DEFINITELY, NOT All Might!!!" I said in panic hoping she would believe it.

"Izu, this is not the time to lie about this. I can see him transformed right in front of me." She said.

"Hahaha. Well... as you can see it's All Might."

"Yeah, I can tell."

"Can I explain this later, please?"

"Fine, you better be." She sighed.

"Young Emiya, could you keep this a secret?" All Might said to her.

"Okay. But what is your business with Izu?" She asked him.

"I was about to do it." He replied and looked back at me. "Young man. I came here to thank you. And also to discuss your question from earlier."

"Huh?"

"If I you hadn't told me about your life... If you hadn't run into that fight...I would've been a worthless bystander watching from the crowd. So thanks."

"Oh, no. It was my fault he was there to begin with. I got in the way of your hard work. I wasted your energy. And... not to mention your time."

"I'm not done. You told me you didn't have a power. So when I saw this timid, Quirkless boy try to save a life. It inspired me to act, too."

I was shocked by what he said.

"There are stories about every hero. How they became great. Most have one thing in common. Their bodies moved before they had a chance to think. Almost on their own."

'For some reason, I remembered my mother's words in that moment.'

'I'm sorry, Izuku. I wish things were different.'

"And today, that's what happened to you."

'You never told me, Mom. Back then... The thing I wanted you to say... The words I needed to hear.'

— THIRD-PERSON POV —

"Young man. You, too, can become a hero."

All in Midoriya's life only one person believed in him, the words of his friend echo throughout the years keeping him motivated to become a hero. But hearing his own idol was something he had wished for more than anything.

"Dreams can become reality."

[IZUKU] I can't believe I got a chance to become a hero!

[ITSUKI] Hold up! You need to work out before you do that! We need to work on your body first!

[IZUKU] How am I supposed to do that?

[ALL MIGHT] Do not worry young man! I will help you— !

[ITSUKI] Worry not! I will personally train you! So that you can do any kind of Hero work!

[FOU] Fou, fou!

[ALL MIGHT] Why are you interrupting me?

[ITSUKI] Also, I will teach you some combat skills.

[IZUKU] Itsuki-chan... Really thank you...

[ALL MIGHT] Umm, guys...
