Author Notes:
Thanks everyone for reading this story.
I forgot to mention something else in my past notes and it was Mike's label. I changed it because I didn't like it and I didn't feel comfortable that his label was his condition, which is also wrong because they are not personalities.
Killer Bass: B, Brick, Cameron, Dakota, Dawn, Zoey.
Screaming Gophers: Anne Maria, Jo, Lightning, Mike, Sam, Scott, Staci.

The Big Sleep
"Last time on Total Drama Island. Thirteen campers have signed up to spend their time right here at this crummy old summer camp, then have to face the judgment of their fellow campers." Chris introduces. Scenes from the last episode are played to remind the viewer.
/
Main theme (sing it in your head)
Cameras appear all over the island: from the bushes, from the trees, knocking out families of raccoons and beavers. A clipboard shows us a long tracking shot across the island, past Chris in a director's chair, all the way down a cliff to the water.
Cameron is seen trying to get out of the water as he was drowning. A hook enters the scene and throws it at the boy into the air.
The scene changes to the surface and we see B who was making repairs to his invention.
We see Cameron fly until he falls into Jo's arms, who seemed upset since she was exercising, but the girl's focus changes when she sees Brick running and continues to let go of Cameron and leave him on the ground.
We cut to Dawn who was meditating calmly until a seagull dropped a dead fish, scaring the animals around her, making the girl sad.
The camera zooms out to show Scott laughing at this until he realizes that one of the animals was growling at him and gets scared, running away from it.
The scene changes to show Zoey and Mike in a canoe. They were both smiling at each other but they didn't realize there was a waterfall and they fell.
On a log Lightning exercised with a log. Until Mike and Zoey fall on top and the three of them fall because the old log didn't support the three of them.
The scene changes to show the confessional and how Jo and Brick continued their race.
The camera goes into the main lodge to show Chef tired of listening to Staci and putting on headphones that were in the soup, this annoying man takes a spoon and puts it in the girl's mouth to make her shut up. Right next to her Anne Maria was putting spray on her hair until the camera focused on her and she posed for them.
Now we are on the beach to show Jo beat Brick by coming in first and celebrating while Brick looked tired.
We cut to Sam who was playing video games until a yeti took his console. Sam tried to take it off but the Yeti was too big.
A hand moves the camera and Dakota is focused. She gives the camera a kiss, leaving lipstick on it that an intern cleans. She poses and is photographed by paparazzi until they are bathed by water shot by Chris, who is in focus now. He had a water gun and was flying in a hot air balloon.
A transition shows all the campers gathered together with Zoey and Mike looking away because they were nervous. The camera zooms out to show the others and how they whistle the theme song.

The episode begins with a shot of the cabins, which is interrupted by Chris who enters the scene with a megaphone in hand. The scene cut to the interior of one of the cabins as loud noise spread in the background.
Dakota screamed in panic "AHHHH! I need my beauty dream"
The scene changes to show the campers gather, already in their daily outfits, "Morning!" Chris addressed the obviously tired campers. "I hope you guys slept well!"
Most of them complained in low voices.
"I hope you're all ready because your next challenge begins in exactly one minute!" Chris told everyone.
"What?! But Lightning hasn't had his DPA." Lightning complained in annoyance, earning him weird looks from the others. "Daily Protein Allionment, Sha-duh"
"And I haven't had enough beauty sleep." Dakota said with her sunglasses on.
"Come on you still look-" Sam began before Dakota took off her sunglasses showing how red her eyes were.
"Great suns of Orion." Sam shouted.
"Don't worry, there will be plenty of sleeping." Chris se rió para sí mismo. "Right after you complete your twenty-kilometer run around the lake!"
"You really enjoy this, don't you!." shouts Anne Maria.
BZZZZT
"Chris really thinks he can do this to me. Sure, I wanna win some cash but not at the expense of my looks. I mean, check me out, perfect hair, perfect tan. All this is worth a billion easy.
BZZZZT
The campers were lined up, and had taken their starting positions. "Okay runners!" Chris called. "On your marks! Get set! Go!"
The scene skipped ahead to the middle of the race; the sun was beating hard as the camera panned down to the campers. Jo, Lightning, Scott and Brick were in the lead. Walking behind them were Anne Maria, Dawn, Dakota y Sam. B, Mike y Zoey surpass them.
"Hey, sorry about what I said earlier," Sam said. "I was just, uh, so taken by your ear lobes!"
BZZZZT
"Ear lobes?" Sam said in the confessional, bewildered by his own words. "Ear lobes?"
BZZZZT
Dakota gave him a confused look. "Thanks!" she said hesitantly as she looked the gamer over, "I like your, uh...," she trailed off, unable to find something to compliment. "Can I get back to you on that?"
Sam's spirits lowered and got sad when he saw Dakota taking out her cell phone and talking on the phone.
/
The scene cuts to show Staci running with difficulty, "My great…. great… great… great… Uncle… invented… the long runnings… before that people have to walk fast."
The scene cuts again to show Dakota's paparazzi arriving in a hot air balloon.
"Smile for the cameras!" One of the photographers eagerly requested.
Dakota made various poses, until the balloon was burst by Chef who threw a rock with a slingshot. "Hey, Rude!" the girl complained, crossing her arms.
The scene cuts again to show the contestants who had arrived at the main lodge. Jo, Lightning arrived first. "Forks! "Sorry you had to lose a girl." Jo exclaimed arrogantly.
"What girl? Lightning didn't lose, bro." Jo rolled her eyes at this.
Scott entered but didn't say a word, Brick entered and sat at one of the tables, happy to have arrived first of his team.
Soon B arrived and revealed that Cameron climbed on his back. "Thanks B," thanked the bubble boy. The giant just gave him a thumbs up.
not long after Zoey and Mike arrive at the same time. The two stopped to take a breath.
Dawn walked in without making any kind of noise, scaring Mike and Zoey.
The scene cuts to show that a few minutes had already passed, Anne Maria enters and behind her was Dakota, the two of them were walking.
"Hey sprayhead, can you go slower next time?" Jo said sarcastically. Anne Maria just rolled her eyes and sat down.
The scene cuts again to show Sam entering the lodge tired and falling at the entrance. Jo just gave him a dirty look, not long after Staci arrived she was talking but no one couldn't understand anything and it just sounded like gibberish. She fell on top of Sam.
"Hey Pinky, Glasses, Where were you both? We lost the challenge because of you two." Jo scolded angrily.
"Wait but if they lose that means… we won." Cameron pointed out. All the Bass cheer at this.
Chris soon interrupts the Bass celebration "Whoa there! Hold your horses, guys. That wasn't the challenge!"
"What?!" exclaimed some campers.
The camera shifted again to the as-yet-unseen wall not included in the usual cafeteria shot. Chris stepped in front of some purple curtains and at his gesture they were drawn back. "Who's hungry?" he said as an angelic chorus played in the background; hidden behind the curtain, and expertly back-lit so that it appeared to sparkle and glow, was a turkey buffet.
BZZZZT
"After eating yesterday's food, this is simply perfection" Anne Maria says in the confessional
BZZZZT
"That buffet is one of the most wonderful I have ever seen in my life, normally the feasts are small in my house, it's just my parents and me" Zoey says.
BZZZZT
The camera focuses on Chris "This buffet is sponsored by Famffet's, buffets for the whole family."
The scene skipped ahead, panning across the aftermath of the meal. Only a few scraps of food were left, and the groans that played over the shot implied that the bellies of several campers were full to bursting. The shot zoomed out to show Anne Maria, Jo, Staci, Sam, B, Cameron, and Zoey. gathered around the remains, noticeably bloated. Chris hopped on to the table, megaphone in hand and grin on his face. "Okay campers! Time for part two of your challenge!"
"Wait! "Wasn't it just eating?" Lightning asked.
Anne Maria complained "What more do you want from us, Mclean? Haven't we been through enough?"
"Um… Let me think about that. No! It's time for… The Awake-a-thon!"
"The Awake-a-what!?" Mike asked, confused.
"Don't worry!" Chris answered, hopping down to the floor. "This is an easy one! The team with the last camper standing wins invincibility!"
"So, what you're saying is that the running and eating were part of your evil plan to make it harder for us to stay awake" Jo says.
"He's good," Scott said with a sly smile.
"Move! Move! Move!" Chris said into his megaphone, the point-of-view shifting to show all the campers as they reluctantly headed for the door.
"So how long do you think it'll be before everyone's asleep?" Zoey asked Dawn as the others passed them.
"I honestly think it will be more than you expect."
The sun was shown rising high into the sky as the scene transitioned to later in the challenge, it was accompanied by a timer at the top of the screen which implied two hours had passed.
The shot panned down to show the campers gathered at the campfire pit, separated by team thanks to some added seating. "We are now two hours in," Chris begins his voice over "with all thirteen campers still wide awake." The camera panned over the Bass. Most of them seem tired except for Brick and Dawn who seemed more awake. Meanwhile at the Gophers Jo and Lightning seemed to be trying to keep themselves awake while the others were visibly tired.
"Staying awake for more than 24 hours? Piece of cake" Sam took out his console and started playing.
Dakota took out her cell phone and started texting her friends about where she was and receiving gossip from them.
"I'll have to confiscate this" off-camera Chris took the teens' electronic devices with a magnet tied to a fishing rod.
"Hey, you can't do that," Dakota complained. "Actually, I can," Chris laughed to himself as he pulled out the contract as a reminder to Dakota. The blonde just crossed her shoulders.
"Hey, you'll be fine, we can talk to each other to pass the time" Zoey tried to calm the blonde down but the girl didn't seem to change her mood.
"Dakota" the blonde turns her gaze to see Dawn "I know you need gossip to forget about your problems but there are other things you could do, I know deep down you are better than that." The moonchild takes the blonde's hand for comfort, but Dakota doesn't look comfortable with this.
"Who told you that? my therapist?!"
"No, I read people's auras, and with yours I feel a desperation for love and validation."
"Argh just leave me alone, okay?" The blonde said, getting up and leaving.
"Eh… I don't know if she took that well," Zoey commented to Dawn, somewhat uncomfortable and afraid of the girl.
"I imagined that could happen, sometimes it is difficult to accept reality"
"Or to be told so directly," Zoey said in a low voice that the moonchild couldn't hear.
"Zoey, I have noticed something in your aura and I would like to help."
"Uh… what did you notice?" I asked nervously.
"Well… I know you came here to make friends, I know you've had difficulty making them so I offer to be a friend you can trust" the moonchild said with a calm smile.
Zoey didn't seem convinced but accepted. "Eh… I guess it's okay."
BZZZZT
"I'm pretty sure Dawn is a witch, but I don't think she's one of the bad ones, at least I hope not."
BZZZZT
It was Dawn's turn in the confessional. "People usually walk away from me, I have no idea why but it happens often."
BZZZZT
"Excellent! I promise to be a good friend," said Dawn, taking the girl's hand.
"Oh, thanks, I promise too," Zoey smiled. "Wow, so that's how you make friends, I didn't think it would be so easy."
"I guess it's a way to make friends," Dawn replied, smiling back.
/
The scene changes to show Dakota sitting with a sad look at the ground, the camera focuses on Sam looking at the girl with concern. Sam gets up and sits next to Dakota.
"Hey, Dakota are you alright?" He asked kindly.
"Yes…"
"I know it's hard not to be with a device, believe me." Sam scratched the back of his head in nervousness. "We can talk if you want, you know to stay awake."
"I guess it's not a bad idea."
"You know, Dakota, we're kinda similar, y'know?"
"...what? How could you say that?" she said once she'd registered the comment and had offense temporarily overcome exhaustion.
"No, I mean," Sam hastily explained, "we're both pretty dependent on our tech. Your cell phone and my video games, that is. Trust me, we have, like, nothing in common otherwise."
The rich girl shot him a tired smile. "Aww, thanks!". Dakota let out a yawn.
"This dumb challenge will ruin my beauty dream," Dakota sighed sadly. Sam just looks, the gamer didn't know what to answer.
"Well… I think you're pretty cute even so," he said nervously as he looked away. "Oohhh thank you," the blonde said sweetly.
/
The scene cut to show Lightning. The athlete was doing push-ups, squats and stretching.
"Hey, muscle mouth, what the hell are you doing?" Jo asks.
"If Lightning keeps Sha-moving then he is not going to sleep" the jock replied with confidence.
Jo rolled her eyes at this.
BZZZZT
"I know i could make him stop, but it's not a bad thing for the others to see who should be the team leader when Captain muscle falls asleep before me." Jo explained in the confessional.
BZZZZT
The scene shifts attention back to Zoey and Dawn. Dawn was meditating and Zoey stared at Mike who was stretching his arms out of exhaustion. "Hey, Dawn, I have a question." Zoey continued as Dawn opened her eyes to pay attention to her. "Well… you see the guy over there" Dawn turns to look at Mike "Well I would like to talk to him. Do you think he would be nice if I came over?"
"Hmm… he has an interesting aura to say the least, but I think you'll be fine, something tells me he wouldn't mind having a talk with you at all" Dawn responded with a smile.
"Thank you…" The redhead took a deep breath, and stood up to approach Mike.
The camera focuses on Mike who was tapping on his knees to pass the time.
"Hey, Eh… I'm Zoey, although you know that, I wanted to know if you're okay, you know, you seem kind of bored," the girl said nervously.
Mike smiled when he saw her. "Yeah, it's not much fun staying up doing nothing."
"Yes I know, you know this reminds me of Mick R. Jordan's book 'Total Action' but i don't think you would know about it"
"Are you kidding? I love that saga!"
"Really? I've never met anyone who liked them or even knew them. This reminds me of the sixth book in the 'Total Action' saga when the protagonists were locked in the abyss of insomnia for five whole chapters."
"Oh totally, it was difficult to read but very interesting, have you seen the film adaptations? I'm sure the third part will be out in 3 months."
"Of course, I'm excited, 'Total Action 2: Total Warriors' is my favorite movie, I know it's the second part but the book is my favorite and they were able to include many things from the book, it makes me sad that it didn't do as well as the first did."
"Yeah, I hope the third is a total success, the saga deserves more recognition."
A bell sounded, and a scoreboard showing the two team logos and the number of campers still awake appeared on the bottom of the screen. The Bass' score rolled down to 5.
Mike and Zoey turn around, surprised to see that Dakota was asleep. "Well, I guess you guys are winning." Zoey jokes, Mike laughed softly.
/
The scene skipped ahead to the night, the timer marked that twelve hours since the start of the challenge.
The camera focused on Brick, the young man seemed nervous, the boy looked in various directions when he heard a noise. "Did you hear that?" he asked his team.
"Uh… no," Cameron responded. The boy was visibly tired.
"Well… maybe it's just my imagination… AHHH!" Brick screams when he hears the sound again.
"Wow calm down Brick, that sound is coming from an owl" Cameron explained.
"Oh… I… hehe" Brick scratches the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Hey, Brick for brains, are you scared of the dark?!" Jo mocked him. Everyone else paid attention to him, some laughed like Lightning, Scott and Anne Maria. While others looked at him With sympathy like Zoey, Mike, B and Dawn.
"There's nothing wrong with being afraid of something like the dark," Dawn interjected.
"Yes, Nyctophobia is normal, for small children… And for people in general too!" Cameron corrected himself when he realized what he said. The same ones who laughed before did it again.
Brick turned red with embarrassment. "I'm sorry," Cameron apologized.
"My great great great great Uncle Robert invented phobias before that people weren't scared of anything. yah" Staci intervened.
Several of her teammates looked at her irritably.
BZZZZT
Scott was in the confessional playing with a rock, throwing it and catching it. "Does that girl never shut up?, not all your relatives could have invented something, if you're going to lie, do it well."
BZZZZT
"I'm pretty sure Staci is a mythomaniac, nothing she has said is correct," Cameron said in his confessional.
BZZZZT
Dawn was in the confessional in lotus position "It's sad to see Staci's aura and sense a need to feel valued and loved, I would like to talk to her to let her know that she doesn't have to lie for people to think she's interesting. "
BZZZZT
With a transition of the static of the confessional we return to Mike and Zoey lying on the floor. The marker shows that 18 hours have passed and the Gophers scoreboard has one less member, which is Sam who the camera focuses on sleeping along with Dakota.
"Ok, favorite band?" Mike asked.
"The Beatles"
"Favorite Color?" Zoey asks this time.
"Heavenly, easy. yours?"
"Red although I like lavender and blue too"
"Do you have any favorite foods?"
"I like fruits, especially cherries, your's?"
"Pasta, my grandfather used to make when i was sad and always made my day"
"That's cute," Zoey said with a smile.
"Thank you"
/
The scoreboard indicated that 24 hours had already passed, Cameron was staggering. "I think I reached my limit," he said before falling to the ground from exhaustion.
BZZZZT
"That was my first time without sleeping for a whole day!" The boy said excitedly but that spirit quickly faded. "I hope it doesn't happen again."
BZZZZT
"Congratulations, campers!" Chris announced, the camera switching to his close-up. "You've made it to the twenty-four hour mark! Time to take things up a notch!" The shot zoomed out to reveal the host standing next to a large object covered in a sheet, as well as the Chef. The giant man was dressed in, of all things, a light pink sheep costume, and carried a small harp.
"Fairy tales!" the host said, pulling back the sheet to reveal a pile of books.
Jo snorted. "You need to be kidding me!"
"Are you serious?" Scott asked, annoyed.
Chris cleared his throat, and the camera switched back to him as Chef began to strum. "Once...upon a time..." Chris began slowly and softly. "There was...inside this boring kingdom..." Chef was shown scowling at an off-screen snickerer, and B was shown yawning. "...a boring village. And inside this boring, sleepy, village...filled with, very boring children..." Staci was shown trying not to fall asleep.
"My great great great-" the girl couldn't finish speaking and fell to the ground.
The camera panned up to show Chef, now in a ballerina's tutu, jumping across the full moon. He left a trail of glitter as he went, and after landing and dancing off stage right the effects of his performance were shown. First was Lightning, Jo and Scott of the Gophers, getting showered in glitter and immediately yawning. Chef's dance continued, for the Bass Dawn, B and Zoey were hit, they yawned like the others.
/
B took some candy out of his pocket to fill himself with sugar.
Anne Maria let out a whimpering moan "This is enough I can't continue risking my beautiful body for this, bye" shortly after the girl stood up.
"Where are you going?" Jo asked.
"It's not like I'm going to sleep on the floor, I'll go to the cabins," the girl said, leaving without waiting for an answer. Jo just rolled her eyes at this.
The marker showed that 36 hours had passed, Zoey and Mike were reeling, "I don't think I can stay awake any more, it was fun spending time with you" Zoey said with a tired smile.
"I think I won't stay awake either, it was fun spending it with you"
Not long after, the two fell almost at the same time, leaving the score 3-3.
Lightning was sitting in a log. He had finished his stay awake routine a few hours ago. The jock was breathing hard. "Oh man… I think moving was a bad idea."
Jo smirked at this and Scott just rolled his eyes.
50 hours have passed, everyone who fell asleep left the campfire area, the camera focuses on B who seemed to be in a Zombie position, not so long time passes before the giant collapses to the ground.
The camera now focuses on Lightning who collapsed face down on the ground.
"Well it's just you and me" Scott smiled mischievously at Jo.
"I guess so, farmer."
BZZZZT
"My strategy is to let my team lose so the Bass develop a false sense of security," the redhead explained. "Then, once the teams merge, they'll be ripe for the picking! For this challenge, the best thing for me was to be one of the last to stay awake and I did it. The bad thing is that Jo seems difficult to beat, with that desire to win of her, it will be difficult to lose challenges but I am sure I can control this." Scott smiled evilly.
BZZZZT
/
The timer sped up alongside a time-lapse of the sky; it finally rested on the 72 hours mark.
The scene flashed again, focusing on the remaining four.
"What is the matter with you people?" Chris said, with a coffee in hand he took a sip. "Come on, fall asleep already!"
"No until I win this," Jo said.
"Same here," Brick said.
Chris took another sip of coffee, and the music turned ominous. "I didn't want it to come to this, I said that to Chef Hatchet last night, I said, "Chef, I don't want it to come to this. But darn it, these campers are tough. And so… I've come up with the most boring, sleep-inducing activity I can find."
BZZZZT
"Well, I've been awake for 3 consecutive days. Whatever it is, I can handle it." Brick commented in the confessional.
BZZZZT
The footage cut back to a smiling Chris, the camera rapidly zooming out to show him holding a large hardcover book. "The History of Canada," he announced in a dull tone, "A Pop-up Book, Chapter One." He opened the book, and an image of a beaver and a few birch logs popped out. "The Beaver. National symbol, and a 'dam' fine hat." He made air quotes around his pun as the last five campers, now sitting in a single row of stumps, groaned.
Jo and Scott groan at this.
Dawn turned to Brick "As much as it fascinates me to revisit the history of Canada. "Brick, I'm afraid I'll have to leave you," Dawn said.
"Why? "You don't even look tired" Brick responded alarmed.
"I don't know if my body can keep up like this, so I'm passing my energy on to you," Dawn said, taking the cadet's hand. Brick didn't seem sure but he let her.
"I know you can do this," the moonchild said before closing her eyes and falling asleep while sitting up.
"Hey…Dawn…wow you really fell asleep like that."
A bell ring is heard and the score is 1-2 in favor of the Gophers.
Jo smiled at this, Scott looked at her for a few moments and let out a fake yawn and he let himself collapse to the floor.
BZZZZT
Scott was in the confessional once again. "While I would have liked to be the last on my team so I could fall asleep and not be a target, Brick needed a little false confidence."
BZZZZT
80 hours passed in total, Jo and Brick staring at each other, challenging each other, the two staggered, but in the end Jo fell backwards.
"And with that, the winner of the Awake-a-Thon is… BRICK!" Brick falls to sleep when he hears this, "CONGRATS!" the host announced to triumphant music, reaching down and holding the boy's hand up.
/
Cameron, Dakota, and Dawn stood on the stairs of their cabin, Cameron and Dawn celebrating as B and Zoey brought Brick over.
The half-awake cadet could only say "Did I win a medal?"
Chris enters the scene "Killer Bass, for being the winners of the challenge, their reward is…" everyone looked at the host anxiously. "A hot tub that you can use the entire time you are here"
Shouts of celebration were heard, Zoey and B raised their arms for a few seconds, accidentally letting Brick fall, "Sorry," Zoey said when she and B picked him up again.
"And where is it?" Dakota asks excitedly.
"It's coming right away" said the host, the chef enters the scene and drops a giant box.
"Wait, that's a box, not a hot tub," Dakota exclaimed.
Chris laughed at this "you have to build the hot tub, with pieces of the 'Hot Wood' brand, with this promotion of a hot tub for only $80.99, get them now at Zalmart." Chris said, speaking to the camera.
"Well… it can be fun and a good group experience to bond" Zoey encourages.
"Zoey is right, plus B says that he knows techniques to make construction easier for us." Dawn intervened.
"I can help too…" Brick said, still dizzy by lack of sleep.
"Oh no, you have to rest, Brick, you deserve it," Dawn said.
"I agree, you are not in a position to build or do anything right now" Cameron intervened.
"Eh… so we all have to participate?" Dakota asked withdrawn.
Everyone except Brick looked at her with a look of disbelief at the question. "Sure, it will be fun," Dakota said with a forced smile.
/
The scene cuts to show the Gophers gathered near their respective cabin. Jo was awake, she had big circles under her eyes, but more than tired, she seemed upset.
"How did we lose this challenge even with an advantage," Jo growled angrily.
"Oh man! Sha-Lightning is in a team of losers"
"Hey, no need to be mean," Mike said. "Yes, the challenge was difficult, we all did what we could," added Sam.
"I don't think you guys could talk when you were going through the challenge with the enemy," Scott commented with his arms crossed.
"Well at least they didn't leave the challenge like a certain person." Jo said pointing to Anne Maria.
"Well it's not my fault that you don't care about beauty as much as I do."
"My great great great great Aunt invented Skin care routines before that everyone looked like they haven't sleep for days, and before that my great great great great great Uncle Connor invented bed before that people sleep in the floor all the time and-"
"NO ONE CARES!" Everyone screams at the same time.
"Whatever, let's see who falls," Scott said before entering the cabin.
Jo got up and walked into the side of her cabin, Lightning and Anne Maria headed elsewhere and Staci followed Jo.
"Hey, I saw you with Dakota, everything went well," Mike asked friendly.
"I don't know much about girls but I think I passed the level," the gamer responded excitedly.
"Good for you, I'm going to sleep, talk to you later?"
"Sure brother!"
BZZZZT
Mike was in the confessional with a big smile "I'm glad nothing happened when I was with Zoey in the challenge, I was afraid that one of the others would show up and ruin things but it seems like I'm okay for now… I just hope keep going like this"
BZZZZT
/
In a transition to static the scene cuts to a montage of the Basses building their hot tub.
B seemed to lead the construction, Dawn was his second hand telling the others the instructions. Zoey hammered one of the boards and encouraged Dakota to do the same. The girl seemed confused by what she had to do but Dawn explained to her how to do it. Cameron read the manual and checked to see if all the parts were in place.
It was already late and the sun was setting. Everyone celebrated when they saw that the hot tub was ready.
/
The scene skipped forward to the elimination ceremony; the campfire burned brightly and the clearing was lined with torches and strings of lights.
"Screaming Gophers." The camera cut to Chris holding a plate of marshmallows. "At camp," the camera zoomed in on the plate, "marshmallows represent a tasty treat," the camera cut to the mostly-smiling teens, "that you enjoy roasting by the fire." The view went back to a serious Chris. "At this camp, marshmallows represent life."
A cut to Scott faking a yawn, and Anne Maria rolling her eyes, "You've all cast your votes," Chris continued in a close-up, "and made your decision. There are only 6 marshmallows on this plate!" Another brief close-up of the plate. "When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the Dock of Shame, to catch the Boat of Losers." Chris pointed to the off-screen campers. "That means, you're out of the contest," another shot of the expectant campers, "and you can't come back," the campers seemed surprised, "ever."
Chris held up a single marshmallow. "The first marshmallow goes to… Mike" the teen smiled, and calmly approached the host to get a marshmallow put on the stick he carried.
"Jo" the girl smirked before getting up and putting her marshmallow in her stick.
"Scott" the farmer got up calmly with a smirk on his face and did the same as the other two.
"Lightning" The host continued.
"Sha-Yeah"
"Anne Maria" The girl got up and took her marshmallow. She didn't seem to care that she was one of the last ones.
The host quickly regained his groove, and the background music became consistently dramatic. "Campers," he said, the camera focusing once more on the near-empty plate, "this is the final marshmallow of the evening!" The shot quickly changed between Sam and Staci, to Chris and the marshmallow.
Sam seemed nervous, Staci had her hands clenched and her face showed that she was nervous. the shot cut back alternative between the two teens. One final shot of the two stressed-out campers then back to a close-up of the host, leaning forward and peering at them with one open eye. Chris smiled, and held up the last marshmallow. "Sam"
Sam stood up excitedly "Woohoo! level beaten!" he said as the host put the final marshmallow on his stick.
"Aww, I was doing so well…" Staci lamented.
"Maybe you should learn to close your mouth more often" Jo barked.
Chris smiled as he approached the chubby young woman. "You annoyed pretty much everyone here." He gestured for Staci to get up. "Dock of Shame is that way, liar!"
Staci got up and started walking, the music turning solemn as the footage skipped ahead to her walking the Dock of Shame alone.
"The rest of you!" Chris addressed the remaining Gophers at the campfire pit, smiles on their faces and marshmallows on their sticks. "Enjoy your marshmallows! You're all safe." The camera cut to a close-up of the host's evil smirk. "For tonight."
Staci was shown at the end of the dock as the Boat of Losers, driven by the Chef.
The scene cut to outside the Bass cabin, the sounds of a party in the background. Everyone was enjoying the hot tub. "My first build and my first hot tub. This place is great." Cameron exclaimed.
"Killer Bass Rock!" Zoey said as she put her hand out for a joint celebration, everyone quickly put their hands on, "Killer Bass Rocks!" Everyone celebrated by raising their hands.
The scene zoomed out to show the Gophers walking to their cabin. Jo stopped when she noticed the camera. "Still rolling?" she asked, looking directly into the camera and earning a close-up in return. "Good. Because while those idiots may think they've won, a real competitor knows it isn't over until there's only one left standing. And that's gonna be me."

TDLB Elimination Order
Staci - 13rd
Author's Notes:
And with that we finish the second episode of this fic, if I had to guess I guess no one is surprised that Staci was eliminated, I'm sorry for her fans but it was necessary, other characters deserve to stay one more episode and I hope I can do something more with her if I'm making a second part of this fic.
Now let's go with the challenge: I decided that the first challenge was not going to be the iconic one for a simple reason, The Big Sleep is much cheaper than that one, I know I could have made that the pieces they needed were promoted by the brand but I decided that it was better That it was only one, I feel like that makes more sense in terms of marketing, because they don't know if the show will be a hit or not.
I'm sorry if there was anything uncomfortable to read and for any grammatical errors, I hope to improve as a writer throughout the episodes.
There were interesting interactions here, Zoey and Dawn are friends, I know it started somewhat weird but I feel like it makes sense, the two of them don't seem to be very good at making friends so it seemed like the right thing to do to make it weird.
Scott and Jo, an extremely interesting duo, an over competitive person and one who wants to lose, I think that makes them very interesting, let's not forget Lightning who will obviously have a rivalry with Jo along with Anne Maria and something funny that happened is that most of the Gophers are not very nice people except for Mike and Sam of course, I feel that this is interesting in terms of interactions although bad in general terms because the other team has a very good balance although perhaps they lack strength but in general they are all nice even Dakota she's not mean just a Vain.
I hope you liked it and that you are interested in continuing reading this story. Remember to review. I really like reading your opinions and even more so if they are constructive.
