Authors Note:

Hey everyone, this is my wishful thinking of what I kinda wanted to happen for Chapter 321, but if you've seen the RAWs, you know it's not. I guess It could still happen in Chapter 322, but it's doubtful. I actually really want Kuu and Kyoko to meet up again for the first time in front of Murasame and Ceddy-boy, but that didn't work for the way my brain made this story. I don't anticipate any follow-up to this blurb, but who knows, maybe something will trigger, and I will continue, but I don't want to force a story where I really can't see an end.

Kuu Hizuri was hungry. No, that's not right. He was starving. Eh, no, that's still not right. Kuu Hizuri was ravenous. For the past six hours, while on set, his stomach was held at bay, but as soon as the director called cut and excused him for the day, Kuu was out of there and on his way to his snack hoard in his on lot trailer. Solely focused on his treasure trove contained in the mobile palace hidden behind the prop weapons depot, Kuu barely registered the blur of electric pink out of the corner of his eye. His stomach, however, did. His craving shifted from the salty goodness of his favorite brand of imported potato chips to a dish he had only once. A bowl full of slop. Of course, the slop was all his fault. If he had just eaten the meal rather than give the chef a hard time, he could have enjoyed her pristine cooking, but the slop was still delicious. That Kyoko is an awfully good cook. Kyoko. Her name in his brain caused his legs to seize up and stop, and his brain finally caught up with his stomach. Taking several steps backward to where he caught the glimpse of shocking pink, he saw his second son dejectedly wandering back and forth, mumbling to herself in front of the prop weapons depot.

"Kuon?" He called out, almost involuntarily. The change in the girl was instantaneous. One second there was a dejected teenage girl mumbling to herself. In the next, there was a 10-year-old boy shouting, "Father!" causing quite a few startled glances at Kuu from around the studio lot.

Kuu would have been slightly embarrassed by the outburst if he had the time, but in the next second, that 10-year-old boy/teenage girl was doing some crazy whirling summersaults coming straight at him. He was so caught off guard that only his reflexes from years of martial arts training got him to dodge his adopted son's attempt at a revenge flick in the head. Catching her arms with a laugh, he smiled down at Kyoko, "Good try! You almost got me there. But next time, watch where you're attacking someone." He nods to the security guards running up to him and Kyoko. "It's OK, It's OK," Kuu shouts to the incoming security. "My son and I were just sparing!"

The security looked unsure at Kuu's words. For one, this "son" of his was clearly a young girl. For two, they were pretty certain only psychos wore colors that could blind you with a glance. But, after some more reassurance from Mr. Hizuri, they left the girl in pink alone, but they'd be keeping an eye out for sure. They couldn't very well let dangerous people wander the studio.

Finally, alone Kuu looked at the girl again. "Are you here as part of the mystery project, too? I heard from the Boss that that the big guy, the wanna-be-me from Dark Moon. What is his name again? Tortuga? Tsuruga! That's it, is supposed to be in it, are you in it too?"

Kyoko shook her head, "No, I am not acting in the project, but I am here with the project. My friend, Mo…Kotonami-san, is part of it, and I am here as her PA." Kuu frowned at this. It was such a waste for such a talented young actress to come all the way here just to be a PA.

"If you're a PA, why aren't you with your charge?" Kuu wondered, trying not to let his disappointment at her predicament show.

"Ah, Kotonami-san is being fitted for her weapons for the project," she replied, gesturing to the building behind them, "But they wouldn't let me in. So I was debating on if I should wait here for her or run to quickly grab some stuff to make us dinner."

It was at the magical word "dinner" that Kuu's stomach perked up and devised a brilliant plan. "Why don't you and your friend come over to my place for dinner? You and I can cool together like old times! I was just craving some of your delicious cooking."

"Really?!" she exclaimed excitedly. "We'd love to join you." Kyoko agreed without even considering whether Kanae would really want to go, but she figured her friend wouldn't mind spending an evening with such a successful actor.

"Excellent, I'll even be able to introduce you to my wife. She will be home this evening." Based on the past that Kyoko had shared with him, he expected maybe a little apprehension from the girl, but that was not what he got at all. Instead, Kyoko's eyes got wide and sparkly, and he could swear he saw flowers blooming all around her.

"I get to meet the Fairy Queen?" She whispered almost reverently. At this, Kuu couldn't contain a booming laugh. "The Fairy Queen? Oh, she's gonna love you. You make sure you call her that. That type of thing is right up her alley. Let's go get your friend," he gestured to the building behind him and then ushered her inside.
