There was a war in Pac-World's past.
A war between good and evil.
A war between justice and tyranny.
A war between brothers.
When Stratos and Tropos Spheros were young, they had good times together. But as they grew, things changed. In spite of all his good efforts, Tropos was always left with the short end of the stick when it came to family.
When he had reached adulthood, Tropos' anger had reached a boiling point, but he had not yet let it all out.
Instead, he secretly followed the ancient readings and scriptures of an evil wizard named Mezmaron.
Long ago, Mezmaron sought to control all of Pac-World, seeking the magical Tree of Life, which was the source of all life on the planet.
Tropos pretended to be on his brother's side throughout all of this, finally letting loose once Stratos became president of Paclandia.
By that point, Tropos Spheros was effectively dead.
In his place stood Traditorus.
Like what he had read about Mezmaron, Traditorus set his eyes on the Tree of Life, determined to finish what the wizard had started.
But the president took no effort in retaliating against his brother.
The war lasted many years, but the forces of good eventually succeeded.
Traditorus and his allies were put on trial, held guilty, and punished.
Their ghosts were extracted from their Pac-Person bodies and banished to the Netherworld, a frightening and dangerous place below the surface of Pac-World.
The lifeless bodies were placed in a pocket dimension known as the Repository.
For everyone else, good times had begun once more.
But the war was not without its losses, for the biggest loss was all of the yellow Pac-People, swept away by a seemingly unknown force.
All except one.
This lone survivor would be Pac-World's hero in the present day, known as…
Pac-Man.
