So, to start things off... I'd like to clarify that the Sonic related stuff In this fanfiction has quite literally NOTHING to do with the retconned Classic Continuity that Includes Mania, Forces, Mania Plus, and Superstars.

Nor does It have anything to do with the Modern Continuity with everything from Adventure and onward.

Instead, this ENTIRELY takes place In the ORIGINAL continuity, so... Anywhere from Sonic 1 to Sonic 3D Blast.

In terms of RWBY though, It will most likely be Volumes 1 through 3. From there, the story might take some drastic turn, depending on what I want to do with It.

Either that, or this whole thing might not even get finished at all, so don't hold your breath.

In terms of personalities, the RWBY cast will pretty much be the same as they are In The Canon Beacon Arc.

As far as Sonic goes, all the characters will have the personalities from the Original JP Continuity. The lore from Original JP Continuity will also be directly lifted.

Details such as there being multiple sets of Emeralds from each Island that Sonic visits, the fact that every unique set Is Interchangable, and are all compatible with eachother, Sonic being the type of person who fights for things that he only cares for personally, Robotnik/Eggman being Incredibly narcassistic, creating things that are built In his Image, acting like a 5 year old when he doesn't get his way, no mention of mobius with all of the Islands and general locations taking place on earth as these are all Isolated areas on the planet, Metal Sonic being a successor to the Mecha Sonic line as he's a representation of being at the peak of Robotnik's remarkable engineering skills, Metal Sonic's 350CC 4 Valve Orgone Energy Engine that allows him to harness the life Energy of Little Planet and use It to his advantage, etcetera.

Basically ALL of that cool stuff that gets misconstrued and lost In translation nowadays.

I'd change up RWBY more, but I have an entirely unique AU for that, so I'm going to leave that half of the crossover alone for the most part.

With that being said, this Sonic RWBY Crossover Is going to be VERY different from what you're used to seeing.

OH! I actually almost forgot to mention... There will MOST LIKELY be a NEW Mcguffin from Sonic's World that will be used, which should be especially obvious, given the title of this Crossover... As well as the fact that New Mcguffins have pretty much been a reoccurance within and outside the JP Timeline.

And to top things off, the Sonic portion of the Story most likely won't be built off of anything Pre-existing, such as Sonic 3 or CD. But, It WILL either come before or after those games, depending on where I feel like placing this.

I will never have this take place during Sonic 1 because I want Sonic to be more experienced. Sure, he's probably got some level of experience under his belt during Sonic 1, but not quite seasoned enough for my tastes. I feel like If he's gone through all the expeditions of Sonic 1 through 3D Blast... Then he'll be able to share enough of his experiences with people so that can be the voice of reason In some situations.

(I view these as one game because there's nothing In terms of plot relevance that Implies one takes place before the other.)

(Yes, Mecha Sonic MK1 Is Canon.)

Sonic Chaos

Sonic 3 and Knuckles

(Yes, the Super Emeralds, Hyper Sonic, and Mecha MK2 are Canon.)

(Yes, the Time Stones are Canon.)

Sonic Triple Trouble

(Yes, Fang, the Nuclear Winter that happened In Robotnik Winter, and Atomic Destroyer being a Submarine that carried Atomic Bombs are all Canon. Also, side note, If Sonic ever brings this up In the Crossover through a personal story... I'll add that one new Zone from Triple Trouble 16 Bit, Egg Zepplin Into the canon. My Idea Is that another part of Turquoise Hill effectively turns Into Robotnik Winter because of the fact that the Egg Zepplin crashes Into It. Aside from that, the rest of this Is 99 If not 100% faithful to the original JP lore.)

The timeline here for Sonic Is pretty linear and straightforward, so there's no real confusion.

RWBY's side of the Timeline for the Crossover happens between Volumes 1 and 2, so basically some time after Team RWBY stops Torchwick and the White Fang, but before the Food Fight Scene. Look at It as a... "Secret" Volume 1.5, If you will.
