THIS STORY IS TAKING FOREVER AND I'M RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS SO THE CHAPTERS ARE GONNA COME A LITTLE FASTER BECAUSE THEY'RE GONNA BE SHORTER
"And then I told her that she and our sisters can't push me around anymore." Lincoln said on facetime with Maggie.
"Way to go Linc stand firm on that, let them know you're not some pushover anymore and you're not gonna take their crap anymore." Maggie said.
"Yeah not with giving some back." Lincoln said.
"By the way, why'd your friend Stella rat you out like that?" Maggie asked.
"I don't know she's been acting real weird lately." Lincoln said.
"Maybe she's jealous." Maggie said.
"What does Stella have to be jealous of?" Lincoln asked.
"Nothing, forget it." Maggie said, relieved and slightly amused at his cluelessness.
"Anyway I still think they overreacted to the whole concert thing." Lincoln said "I mean i went nothing happened I didn't get hurt that sure didn't
bother them when they kicked me out of the house."
"Oh you mean the bad luck thing you told me about?" Maggie asked.
"Yep." Lincoln said. "And they say they do all this to help me, but I tried to help them once and they said they fixed it by driving me out of the house."
"Right, the sister fight protocol thing." Maggie said.
"Yeah it seems like every time I try to fix something that doesn't seem right or stand up for myself my sisters find a way to ruin it." Lincoln said. "Well, no more, they need to accept that I'm not that geeky little pushover anymore." Maggie looked at Lincoln with a blush and half lidded eyes.
"Mmm you're cute when you get all assertive, I love it when you talk tough." Maggie said.
Lincoln was speechless; all he could do was blush with a foolish grin. "T-thanks Mags." he said nervously scratching the back of his head.
"Think of something else and make that angry face again." Maggie said.
Helpless against the charms of his emo girlfriend, Lincoln complied and thought back to the time his older sisters gave him dirty looks when he went to get them for dinner. The memory made Lincoln grind his teeth and growl with anger. As his face turned red with rage Maggie's turned red with a blush. Maggie's blushing smile made Lincoln cheer up a little.
"Maggie I gotta say you teaching me to stand up for myself is the best thing to happen to me in a long time." Lincoln said.
"Thanks and the angry rebel thing really suits you." Maggie said.
"OH NO IT DOESN'T" Lynn shouted as she suddenly burst into Lincoln's room with warning.
"Lynn what the heck." Lincoln said angrily.
"You downstairs and you stay away from my brother." Lynn said as she closed Lincoln's laptop.
"Lynn, what's the matter with you?" Lincoln asked.
"We need to see you downstairs now." Lynn said.
"For what?" Lincoln asked.
"For you." Lynn said as she grabbed Lincoln's arm and put him over his shoulder and carried him downstairs.
"Lynn, are you nuts? put me down." Lincoln said angrily.
"Fine, there I put you down stinkoln." Lynn said, sitting Lincoln down the living room chair.
"Lynn call me that again and so help me." Lincoln growled before noticing who was in the living room with him.
Lincoln looked around and his whole family and his friends even Stella who he was still less than pleased with.
"Why are you guys here?" Lincoln asked.
"We're here because we love you man." Zach said.
"Lincoln we know you don't but we miss the old you." Leni said.
"Yeah we want the old Linky back." Lola said.
"Why so you could push me around, gang up on me, throw me under the bus, take advantage of me, single me out for unpleasant things like clipping aunt ruth's toenails, changing diapers, giving bad news to a cranky lola." Lincoln said.
"Hey we did some of that stuff too." Lynn said.
"Name one time." Lincoln said.
"Ummm uhhhh." Lynn and the sisters mumbled as she and her sisters tried unsuccessfully to think of a time Lincoln wasn't singled out to do the hard stuff.
"Yeah that's what I thought." Lincoln said. "And I can't believe you guys are siding with these hypocrites." Lincoln said angrily.
"We're not taking sides and we get You wanna start standing up for yourself and make some changes in your life." Liam said.
"But there are better ways to do it than sneaking out, lying and lashing out." Clyde said.
"Yeah I overheard you talking with your so-called girlfriend, this is all her, she's using her feminine wiles to convince you it's okay to lie, act out, act like a punk and hate on your family." Lynn said.
"She hasn't told me anything that's not true." Lincoln said.
"Come on Linky, she's clearly manipulating you." Lola said.
"Can't you see she's no good for you she's turning you into a simp that'll do anything to please her." Luna said
"Yeah Lincoln you're nothing but a piece of clay for her to mold and play with." Stella said.
"I can't believe this, I'm the only one that sees she's helping me change my life." Lincoln said.
"Sweetie There are better ways to change your life that letting that girl turn you against your family." Rita said.
"Baby bro we know we're not exactly the perfect family and we don't always treat you the best but we can change." Luna said.
"I've heard that before, you guys always treat me like an outsider or black sheep, sometimes you apologize but nothing ever changes." Lincoln said.
"Please Lincoln We promise we'll do better." Luan said.
"I wish I could believe that." Lincoln said as got up and headed back up the stairs.
"Lincoln please we…." Lana said before being cut off by her brother.
"Just leave me alone, all of you." Lincoln said as he disappeared into his room.
As Lincoln slammed his door shut his friends and family all looked sad with defeat and failure.
