Perhaps stupidity and primitive violence were advantageous in a battle of spirit. While exertion was clear on their piggish faces, her aggressors seemed to be ignorant of the roiling atmosphere. They charged sluggishly at her with their pikes, and it took all of Yuya's strength defy the invisible weight; using precious energy to sidestep and exploit their momentum to send them sprawling.
Injured pride had them scramble up to begin another futile assault. They were resilient, like pests.
