This village was very sweet, most of the people here seemed to be welcoming and friendly enough but I couldn't help but shake the feeling that I was being watched. Probably the ninja from the ramen shack - he wasn't exactly pleased with the fact that I had bought his student lunch. Kind of childish if you ask me. How I must be a terrible human to do such a thing.

"Is that all you need, love?"

The old lady store owner asks, my blue eyes moving to look at her as she hands me a bag of food and water.

"Yes, thank you. Here, keep the change."

I smile brightly and hand over payment, her head bowing in thanks as I place the bag in my back pack, swinging it over my shoulder as I look down at Kit. His gaze locked on the rooftop of the building behind us.

"He's not going to do anything you know, I doubt he's that stupid to attack someone without cause."

I whisper to my fox as we walk away from the shop owner, my eyes lifting to see where Kit was so focused on as I sigh.

"They have rules here, as long as we don't break them. And they don't find out what we are... There won't be a problem."

I smile at Kit as he lets out a growl, walking along beside me as we make our way out toward a field area surrounded my trees.

"Here comes the rain..."

I mutter as large drops start to fall from the skies, Kit and I running to take cover under a large tree as the heavens open. The sound of the rain hitting the leaves almost therapeutic as I sit down, placing my bag beside me as I take out my sketchbook.

"It's gonna be raining a while, maybe take a nap because you are clearly grumpy and I'm not in the mood for your attitude."

I say bluntly to Kit as he sits beside me, his tail smacking me in the face as I shove him in retaliation, a chuckle escaping my lips.

"Idiot."

I say playfully as he lays down beside me, his head on his front paws as I start to sketch out the masked man I met earlier. My pencil making quiet stokes on the page as I occupy myself while the rain continues to pour, my tongue peaking out of my lips as I concentrate.

"As annoying as the guy was, he's is certainly an interesting subject to draw."

I whisper, my fingers brushing the excess pencil from the page as I start to add the finer details.

"It's always the quiet ones that are the most intriguing."

I whisper as I rub Kits head between the ears, his foot kicking out in satisfaction as I let out a yawn. My eyes lifting to the dark grey skies as I place my sketchbook down in my lap - deciding now would be a great time to catch up on some sleep. I mean, the place was pure tranquility right now. It's still warm, the sound of the rain? A sleeping fox beside me? It's practically idyllic. I'd be a fool not to rest right now.

"Maybe just a hour..."

I whisper again, another yawn escaping my lips as I cross my arms across my chest. My head leaning back against the tree as I close my eyes, my breathing slow as I pretty much drift off to sleep within a few seconds of closing my eyes. My body exhausted from all the traveling the days before.

"This is a great drawing of Kakashi-Sensei..."

I hear a familiar kids voice drawing me out of my slumber, my eyes peeling open to see his head directly above mine as Naruto stands over me, his feet on the trunk of the tree as he holds my sketchbook in his hands.

"Naruto? What are you doing out here?"

I say, my voice croaky from where I've just woken up.

"Well what are you doing out here?"

He asks back, my eyes rolling as Kit just remains in a seated position, his head looking up at the kid as his tail twitches softly.

"I asked you first."

"I asked you second."

He responds and I scoff, my eyes dropping to my sketchbook as I move to grab it, his hand moving quickly out of reach.

"The drawing is uncanny, it looks just like him. You even captured that disapproving look in his eye."

Naruto adds as he walks up the trunk of the tree, staring at the drawing of Kakashi.

"Thanks... Can I have it back?"

The kid ignores me and continues to flick through the pages, my eyes locking onto him as he perches on a branch above me now.

"Why didn't you draw me? I met you first, why did you draw Kakashi-Sensei instead of me?"

I sigh, crossing my arms as I look up at him. My hair falling back off my shoulders as he remains on the branch.

"I'll give you one last chance to give me my sketchbook back, Naruto."

I say, a serious edge to my voice as he laughs. Like it's some kind of game. Completely unaware of the powers and skills I possess.

"Alright kid, don't say I didn't warn you."

As he looks down at me again he gasps, his head looking around as he realizes I'm no longer there, only Kit remaining on the ground as he watches the events unfold.

"Where'd... Where'd she go...?"

When he looks away I drop down from above, hanging upside down and taking the sketchbook in a quick and easy swipe. A small yelp coming from him as he falls backwards off the branch, surprised I was able to get up there so fast.

"What the hell...!?"

I smirk as I grab his ankle, stopping Naruto from falling encase he hurt himself. My fingers holding him tightly before I pull him up toward me, wrapping my arms around him before I swing from the branch I was hanging off and landing gracefully on the ground, a laugh escaping both of us as I mess up his hair.

"You're such a nuisance."

"Sorry to interrupt but I'm going to need you to let the kid go."

I hear a different voice this time, my eyes lifting to see a tall male with long white hair, red facial markings in his cheeks and dark red vest over the rest of his clothes.

"Pervy sage, what are you doing here?"

Naruto asks curious, my arms lowering from the kids body as I slowly stand up, looking at the newcomer. Did he just call the guy Pervy sage?

"Kakashi told me there was someone new sniffing around the kid, I wasn't quite expecting her to be so beautiful though."

Naruto's hand immediately slaps against his forehead as I screw up my nose slightly, my eyes blinking at the guys confidence as Kit moves to stand in between us.

"Ugh..."

"And what did I say about you calling me that!"

He yells at him before looking back to me.

"I guess people probably call you a foxy babe, right?"

He smirks at me, his cheeks tinting pink as Naruto groans, shaking his head in embarrassment as I just stand there confused as to what the hell was happening.

"Pervy Sage! What the hell is wrong with you, can't you focus on anything else?!"

Naruto yells as Kit starts to growl when the white haired old man steps forward.

"Is he always like this?"

I ask to Naruto as he groans before responding to me.

"Unfortunately..."

I chuckle as I slide my sketchbook into my back pocket, Kit starting to get more impatient as the Sage looks down at him.

"Well aren't you a cute little thing, such a adorable little pet."

"I wouldn't do that..."

I warn as the Sage laughs, looking back at me with a 'what can this little fox possible do to hurt me' kinda look.

"Well... Don't say I didn't warn you."

I reply bluntly as Naruto looks between the three of us. The Sage ignoring my warnings as he starts to make cute sounds at Kit, reaching out to try to pet him.

"I..."

I go to tell him to stop but it was too late at this point, Kit had already transformed into his eight foot self and got the Sage pinned to the ground, his teeth close to his face as he growls deeply at him, one of his giant paws pressing hard enough on his chest that he isn't able to move.

"Pervy Sage!!"

Naruto runs forward and I grab him by the back of the shirt, pulling him hard enough to force him off his feet as I sigh, shaking my head as I walk over to Kit. Making sure he isn't doing anything to truly harm the man.

"What the hell is this thing!! Get it off me!"

I heard the Sage pleading now and as I move to tell Kit to get off, I hear a whistle in the wind. My hand raising instinctively to catch the blade of a Kunai before it hit Kit's neck. Blood now trickling through my fingers from my palm before I twist it around, throwing it back in the direction of where it came from, the sound of metal clashing in the shadows of the trees before the ninja from earlier jumps out to face me.

"Great..."
