Chapter 2

Father's wrath and a clown cries

In the shadows a man in a cloak follows after the two Captains as they walk around the town with a frown on his face. 'What is your game here Shanks?' The man wonders to himself as his frown grows even more on his face.

Shanks could feel someone following him. But this person had the aura as Luffy. 'Whose this person? It's not Garp for that fool is still in the Grand Line. But he is making his way here though. So who could this person be?' He wondered as he looked over his shoulder to catch sight of a man with tattoos on his face. Shanks almost froze in step as he saw the ice cold stare that man was giving him. But there was something the man had that reminded him of the girl that was walking next to him. 'Could this be here uncle or brother or something?' He wondered.

"What's wrong Shanks?" Asked Luffy tilting her head to the side looking up at him.

Shanks looked over at her with a smile on his face. "Oh it's nothing Lu-chan." He said with a smile on his face.

She just smiled and nodded her head to him as she also caught out of the corner of her eye of the man in the cloak standing in the alleyway. 'Oh dad is here.' She thought with a smile she shot her father's way.

Dragon was taken back by the action of his daughter. 'She knows who I am? Did my father tell her?' He wondered as he took a step back into the shadows to hid from her before she could come over to him.

Shanks looks over at her. "So would you like some ice cream?" He asked her with a goofy smile on his face.

A large smile crosses Luffy's face. "Yeah! ICE CREAM!" She yells as she jumps into the air.

Shanks just laughs as they walk over to an ice cream stand. "Get whatever you want." He tells her.

Ten scoops later and a large waffle cone. Luffy grins at him as she beings eating her ice cream. Shanks just shook his head at the girls antics. At times she acted like a girl that was older then ebon her years and other times like the little girl he met so long ago.

"So, Lu-chan. Are you going to do a little shopping as well while I show you around town?" Asked Shanks as he could picture her trying out outfits with a slight blush on his cheeks.

Around the corner Zoro and Benn stood listening and watching their two Captains. "I'm going to cut off what makes him a man." Growled Zoro like an over protective brother.

Benn chuckles and places his hand on Zoro's shoulder. "Don't worry he will not try or do anything. If you take a look around you will see his men all around watching them." He pointed out as Zoro looked around and saw the Red-Hair Crew spying on the two Captains as well as he also spotted Nami and Sanji as well.

"Fine." Said Zoro letting out a sigh.

Luffy looked up at Shanks thinking for a second. "Well I could get a few things I will need. For I'm sure Zoro and Benn got me what I need to clean my swords with for how they went to get him two new swords. I know Nami went shopping for Clothes for everyone. But I'm not sure if I will like what she has gotten me. For she told me once I need to dress more like a girl." She told him as she looks up at the sky letting out a sigh. "Sadly in this world of Pirates I am going to have to fight twice as hard to prove myself to the others out there. For they have no love nor respect for female Pirates. I can understand why Alvida is the way she is." She said looking back at Shanks.

Shanks nodded his head to this. "Yes, it's true what you have just said. But in the Grand Line and in the New World there are more female Pirates as they have proven themselves to be powerful and can match any man out there." He told her with a smile on his face.

Luffy smiled. "Yeah, I know. I have heard of Boa one of the seven warlords. She is said to be the most beautiful woman out there." She said with a small smile on her face.

"I don't know about that Luffy. I know one girl that could give Boa a run for her money and she is growing to be a beautiful woman as well." Said Shanks with a goofy smile on his face looking at a confused Luffy.

"Who are you talking about Shanks?" Asked a confused Luffy looking at the red-hair man she looked up to.

"It's a secret. But I'll tell you." Said Shanks leaning in close to Luffy and whispered into her ear. "It's you silly." He said leaning back up as now Luffy was blushing wildly.

On one of the roofs Sanji was growing angry. "What did he tell my little Luffy-chan?" He growled to himself ready to jump down and kick the ever loving shit out of the man talking to his Captain.

Luffy giggled a little as she calmed her blush. "Nah. I'm not beautiful. I'm just a tomgirl that rights with the boys and can kick pretty much anyone's ass." She tells him with a grin.

"I don't think so Luffy. You are a beautiful girl and any girl will be jealous of you in the future and any guy would be lucky to call himself yours." Said Shanks not really meaning to tell her that.

"Yeah, well." Luffy didn't know what to say after that. "Let's go shopping. You already showed me where Roger's grew up at." She said standing up as she finished the rest of her ice cream.

Shanks grinned as he was looking forward to this little shopping trip.

Nami smirked. 'She doesn't even know it. But she has that man wrapped around her little finger.' She thought to herself as she trying to figure how to use it for her own gain.

'Lucky bastard going to watch Luffy-chan try on cute little outfits!' Thought Sanji as he lost it with a nosebleed sending him flying as he pictured Luffy in a bikini.

Zoro rolled his eyes as he saw the stupid love-cook go flying off the roof of the building next to him and Benn.

"Are you going to check on him?" Asked Benn as he looked down at the cook who was passed out form his massive nosebleed.

"No. He had a perverted thought about Luffy. So he can rot there for all I care." Growled out Zoro as the two of them took off to follow the two Captains once more.

"You do know we are being babysat?" Asked Luffy in a hushed voice as she looks up at Shanks with a smile on her face.

Shanks looks down at her with his goofy smile. "Yes, I know. It appears Benn and Zoro are worried about use two." He told the girl next to him.

"Zoro is a great friend and first-mate. I was lucky he joined my crew." Said Luffy with a soft smile on her face.

Shanks nodded his head to this. "So what are we shopping for?" He asked her with a large grin on his face.

Luffy smiled with a thought. "Clothes, I guess. I do need some new shorts and a few new sports bra and vest." She said looking at the man next to her. "You don't mind hanging out while I pick up what need?" She asked him.

"Nope. It will be fun, and I'll buy anything you need and want." He tells her with a grin.

"Are you sure about that?" Asked Luffy looking at Shanks as she was surprised by this.

"Yeah. Let this be a gift to you for making your first bounty." Said Shanks with a grin.

"Oh okay." Said Luffy with a grin on her face. "I know Ace wouldn't do this. He would make me treat him to food." She said with a laugh.

They make their way into a shop and Luffy picks out a few outfits and as she tries them on for Shanks as he was turning bright red from watching all the outfits, she comes out of the dressing room with.

After finishing her shopping and Shanks holding all the bags with her clothing out of the store. "Are you sure you don't need any help?" She asked him.

"Yeah I got it." Said Shanks with a grin. "How about we go drop this all off and I'll take you to where Roger's journey came to an end and the new pirate age began." He told her as Luffy nodded her head to the red-hair man next to her.

Lucky-Roo stepped out of an alleyway. "Hey Captain. I can take that for you two. I'm heading back to the ship with Rockstar." As said named man walked out of the Alleyway as well with several bags in his hands.

Shanks nods his head. "Alright. Takes this to Luffy's ship and tell her crew to put it in her room." He told Lucky. Lucky nods his head and takes all the bags and vanishes with Rockstar.

Shanks offers Luffy his now free arm. "Now shall we head to the center of town?" He asks her.

Luffy smiles nodding her head and takes his offered arm. As they stroll down the street leading to the center of town where a Clown and a woman watched them from the shadows. 'Soon. I will have that brat's head.' Glares the woman as she makes a fist as she watches the girls back.

They make it to the center of town. "See there Luffy. That is the tower where Roger's met his end." He told her pointing to the tower.

Luffy looked up at the tower with stars in her eyes. "I want to go to the top and see what he saw in his final moments." She told him bouncing out of his arm.

"Luffy….wait…..." Called Shanks as the girl was already up the very top of the tower.

Benn and Zoro walked up next to Shanks. "She got away." Asked Benn with a grin on his face.

He let out a sigh. "Yeah. You know Luffy. She can't hold still for even a second." He said shaking his head.

Luffy was grinning looking around the town center at all the people walking around and the few who had stopped that had noticed her standing up there. "Wow this town looks amazing from up here." She said.

As she was going to take a step to the ledge of the tower, her energy began to fade and something heavy was placed on her neck. Turning to look she saw a sea stone collar had been placed on her neck. 'Shit this isn't good.' She thought to herself as someone pulled the chain connected to the collar back and she fell back.

This didn't go unnoticed by the three men at the bottom of the tower. "What is going on up there?" Asked Shanks as he narrowed his eyes as he could see two other people up there as a woman walked up next to him.

"Fancy meeting you here Shanks." Said the woman speaking very freely to him.

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Who are you?" He asked as his voice held a hard edge to it.

Zoro narrows his eyes looking over at the woman as he returns his gaze back up to the top of the tower where now he can see a man with an exceptionally large nose standing at the very top.

"Well good looking. I am Alvida the most beautiful woman in the whole sea." Said the now named Alvida with a cocky tone to her voice.

Shanks blinked his eyes and began laughing. "You mean to tell me your that whale of a Captain that believed herself to be more beautiful than Boa Hancock and Luffy?" He asked between laughter as Benn and Zoro both smirked at the man's answer.

Alvida glared at him and began to growl but couldn't say anything more. For the show had just begun.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN GATHER AROUND TO WITNESS THE DEATH OF ROOKIE PIRATE MONKEY D. LUFFY. THE THORN IN MY SIDE!" Announced Buggy with a large grin on his face.

"LIKE HELL YOUR GOING TO PLACE A DIRTY FINGER ON LUFFY!" Growled out Shanks as he jumped up to stand face to face with Buggy.

Off in the shadows a man with black hair watched the two men a small smile played across his lips.

"What are you going to do? Huh Shanks?" Question Buggy in a mocking tone as he looked his former crewmate up and down, his eyes landing on where the man's arm once been.

Shanks glared at him. "I don't need both my arms to kick your ass Buggy. I'm just warning you now. Step away from Luffy and you'll walk away with all your body parts." He told the clown before him as a shoot rang out and the collar around Luffy's neck shuddered into a million pieces.

Shanks grinned as he knew Yasopp had fired that shot from a roof top not too far away.

Luffy stood up and glared at Buggy. "You bastard. Always getting in the way of my fun." She growled out and shot her both arms back behind her. "Gum-Gum Rocket!" Both fist slammed into Buggy's chest sending him flying off into the sky.

Alvida knew they had lost and took off running with the rest of the crew as the Marines began to show up.

"Well it appears it's time to leave." Said Shanks as he grins at Luffy.

"Yeah I guess so." Said Luffy laughing as they both jump down and land next to their two crews.

"We got to make a break for it Luffy." Said Zoro as he saw the Marines closing in on them.

Just then the sky darken, and lightning began hitting the ground around the two crews making a path for them to the docks. This lightning blocking the Marines from even trying to catch them.

"Come boy's time to return home before we make more trouble." Said Shanks laughing as he ran alongside Luffy.

"AYE!" Yelled the Red-hair Pirates as Luffy's crew just laughed at them.

Dragon moved along the shadows following after his daughter making sure she didn't get into anymore trouble as it appeared, she was a magnet for it. He would do what he is able to protect her from the shadows as he has done since she was little. He just hope the fool found his message once he boarded his ship. For he wasn't against paying Shanks a personal visit anytime soon.

Smoker almost grabbed Luffy when an arm came out of a dark alleyway pulling him back. "Not today Smoker. Just let them go." Said a deep voice.

Smoker looked up to see who held him and stopped his devil fruit from working. "Dragon." Was all Smoker said as he looked back at the raven hair girl running and laughing with the Emperor of the New World.

Once on board their respected ships both Captains smiled at each other. "Well Luffy. It has been fun." Said Shanks looking at the girl with longing in his eyes.

"Yeah, it has been fun Shanks. But I guess we are setting sail to the Grand Line." Said Luffy with a smile on her face.

Shanks reached into his pocket and pulled out a package he bought in town and had a letter wrapped up in it. "Hey Lu-chan." He said as she looked up at him with a smile. "Catch." He said throwing the package at her. She tilted her head to the right looking down at it. "Open it once your in the Grand Line and then call me with your answer." He told her as a strong wind picked up and pushed both ships apart.

"OKAY SHANKS!" Luffy called out him as she waved at him.

Dragon narrowed his eyes at the package his daughter held tight to herself as the wind picked up. 'What are you planning Red-hair?' He wondered as he vanished into the shadows.

Next time we are in the grand line and what did shanks give her?
