Episode 145: Outrageous Fortunes

It's a nice day for Mew and her friends. They continue on their journey to Blackthorn City so Mew can earn her next badge. Right now, she and her friends are in town, looking for the Pokemon Center.

"Let me see. It looks like we're close," Brock says.

Soon, Tomo says, "Hey!"

"Look! There it is!" Misty says.

"The Pokémon Center," Jen says.

"I see it!" Molly says.

"Let's go check in," Mew says.

However, they notice something ahead.

A trainer calls out, "Keep it up, Poliwrath!

Another trainer calls out, "Hitmontop, hang in there!"

The group of friends look and see a bunch of people gathered and cheering what sounds like two trainers in a battle

"Hey, look at that!" Brock says.

"Sounds like lots of fun!" Misy says.

"Sounds like they're having a Pokemon Battle," Mew says.

"Let's check it out," Tomo says.

With that, Mew and her friends investigate to see the battle taking place.

One trainer calls out, "Hitmontop, Triple Kick, now!

Hitmontop closes in with the attack while spinning.

Another trainer calls out, "Dodge it, Poliwrath!"

Poliwrath does so

Then Poliwrath's trainer calls out, "Now, Poliwrath, Double Slap!"

The attack lands.

"Poliwrath and Hitmontop, huh?" Mew says.

"Well, I'm certain that Poliwrath will win, hands down!" Misty says.

"Well, that's no surprise," Mew says.

"We know you'll always take the side of water Pokémon, Misty," Brock says.

Then Poliwrath's trainer calls out, "Poliwrath, Submission, go!"

Poliwrath charges in and rolls Hitmontop around.

Hitmontop's trainer calls out, "Hang in there, Hitmontop!"

However, Hitmontop is thrown clear before landing.

The trainer cries out, "Oh, no!"

"Sorry, Mason," Poliwrath's trainer says.

"Wow! That was an amazing move!

"But, I thought only fighting Pokémon use Submission," Jen says.

"True, but Poliwrath acquired Submission attack when it evolved from a Poliwhirl," Misty says.

"It's true. When Poliwhirl evolves to Poliwrath, it also becomes a Fighting Type," Mew says

One of the crowd calls out, "Poliwrath has seven straight wins!"

"Poliwrath rules!" Another person cheers.

Poliwrath's trainer calls out, "Come on! Anyone else out there want to take a shot at beating my Poliwrath?!"

Soon, Misty steps into the field, "I'll go first."

"Really? You seem eager?" Mew says.

"Well, since it's a Poliwrath, it's only fair that I get to challenge him," Misty says.

"Make sense, I guess," Mew says. "Good luck, Misty."

"Thanks," Misty says.

Soon, both combatants are ready.

The trainer says, "Poliwrath and I are anxious to see what you've got!"

"Then watch and learn, from someone who lives and breathes water Pokemon!" Misty says.

And then calls out, "K, Poliwhirl, let's go!"

Poliwhirl comes out.

Then Misty calls out, "Poliwhirl, Water Gun!"

Poliwhirl fires the attack.

"Poliwrath, use Water Gun, too!" The trainer says.

Poliwrath fires and the clash ends in a stalemate.

"Wow. This is a pretty good match," Tomo says.

Then Misty calls out, "Use Bubble attack, now!"

Poliwhirl dodges the attack.

Then the trainer calls out, "Poliwrath, dodge it and use Double Slap!"

Poliwrath does so and the attack afterwards lands.

Then he calls out, "Poliwrath, Submission!"

Poliwrath rolls Poliwhirl around before throwing it clear, knocking it out.

"Poliwhirl!" Misty cries out.

"Good work! That makes it eight in a row!" Poliwrath's trainer says.

Mew then steps forward, "Mind if I battle next?"

"Sure," The trainer says.

Mew then calls out her Bayleef, "Alright, time for you to check out my Bayleef!"

"Okay. Hit me with your best shot!" the trainer says.

Then Mew calls out, "Bayleef, Razor Leaf, let's go!"

Bayleef launches the attack.

Poliwrath's trainer calls out, "Poliwrath, dodge and use Double Slap!"

Poliwrath does so and the attack lands as Misty helps Poliwhirl to its feet.

"Are you okay, Poliwhirl?" Misty asks.

Poliwhirl confirms.

"Oh, great," Misty says relieved. Then says, "I think we should watch this together. Someday, you'll evolve into a Poliwrath, too. And now you can see what that's gonna be like. Someday soon."

Back on the battlefield, Bayleef and Poliwrath lock up like wrestlers.

"Awesome, Bayleef!" Mew cheers.

The trainer calls out, "Don't give in, Poliwrath! Hang in there!"

Meanwhile, up on a ledge, Team Rocket scopes out the action.

"As usual, dere's Pikachu wit da head twoip," Meowth says

"I'm sick of trying to capture Pikachu and Eevee," Jessie says.

"You are?" James asks.

"But dat's always been our ting," Meowth says.

"I know, but now I want that Poliwrath," Jessie says.

"Oh, boy," Meowth replies.

James looks through the scope and says, "Poliwrath does have the air of a brazing brute."

"You know, I just realized something," Jessie says.

"What? Spill the beans, Jess," James asks, curious.

"I figured out why our plan fails every time we try to capture that yellow annoyance and that beige, uh, brownish fur ball," Jessie says, "We're going about it all wrong! We insist on capturing Pikachu and Eevee by trying to capture Pikachu and Eevee!

"Okay." The boys reply.

Jessie continues, "Don't you get it? If we could steal a stronger Pokemon first, and then go after Pikachu and Eevee, we'd finally win!"

"Oh!" The boys reply.

James turns to Meowth, "Your thoughts?"

"Dat's not bad," Meowth says.

Then James says, "You're brilliant Jessie!

"And so, with Poliwrath in our possession, that Pikachu and Eevee will be a piece of cake to catch!" Jessie says.

"Yippee!" James cheers.

"I'm gettin' tingly just tinking about it!" Meowth says.

"So, I say let's go!" Jessie says.

James and Meowth cheer, "Yo!"

Back on the battlefield, both Pokemon are equally exhausted.

Mew says, "You know, I think we should finish this match. Both our Pokemon are getting tired."

"Yeah. I have to agree, especially Poliwrath," The trainer says.

"I agree with the idea, especially with your Poliwrath," Brock says, agreeing to the idea, "This is the eighth match in a row you've fought, and Poliwrath is exhausted. If you don't quit, Poliwrath could get really sick.

"You're right," The trainer says, and turns to Mew, "By the way, your Bayleef is awesome!"

"Thanks. Poliwrath, too," Mew says.

The trainer lifts his hand to Mew, "Hi, my name's Delaney."

"I'm Mew," Mew says, "And these are my friends, Brock, Misty, Tomo, Jen, and Molly."

"Hi. Nice to meet you, too," Delaney says.

Later, the group enters the Pokemon Center.

"You must be tired, Poliwhril. Let's get you fixed up," Misty says.

"I need to give Bayleef, and my other Pokemon, a rest, too. I also need to send some of them to Professor Oak," Mew says.

"Yeah. With the Pokemon Egg you have and so many Pokemon you caught. I think it's good for some to get a good rest," Brock says.

"Surprised you haven't got tired from carrying so many of them yet," Misty says.

Suddenly, Jen begins slipping on the floor where Chansey is mopping. She then bumps into Tomo, and he bumps into Mew, which also causes her to bump into Misty. That causes all of them to the ground. Mew ends up spilling some of her things. Even some of Misty's Pokeball. Two of her Pokeballs let out her two Clamperl. When some Mew's things spill out, a Deep Sea Tooth lands in the male Clamperl while the Deep Sea Scale lands in the female Clamperl.

"That hurt!" Mew yelps.

"The floor's a little slippery, Mew," Brock says.

Chansey checks on the group who have fallen.

"Oh, we're okay, Chansey," Mew says.

"Yes, next time I'll watch where I'm walking," Jen says.

Misty looks around, "A lot of your stuff went flying, Mew."

"And your two Clamperl came out when you fell, Misty," Jen says.

"Thanks for helping me, guys," Mew says.

While the group is helping Mew with her things, Poliwhirl finds the King's Rock from when Mew won the Pokemon Sumo competition

"I think that's everything," Brock says.

"Okay, let's get you that rest now, Poliwhirl," Misty says, and recalls Poliwhirl.

Unknown to her, the Poliwhirl still has the King Rocks and has taken it in with her.

Then does the same with her Clamperl, "Sorry for the sudden call out you guys. Return."

Soon, Mew hands Nurse Joy some of her Pokemon.

"Here, Nurse Joy. I'll just leave them here with you," Mew says.

"And I'll take care of them all," Nurse Joy says.

Meanwhile, Delaney is seen walking along and holding his Pokéball containing Poliwrath.

"Sorry I overdid it, Poliwrath," Delaney says, "From now on, I promise I'll pay more attention to you next time we battle."

As Delaney talks, Jessie in disguise prepares to make her move.

"Greetings, young traveling stranger," Jessie says.

"Huh? You mean me?" Delaney questions.

"Of course," Jessie says, "I am but a humble fortune teller, and you have caused my humble crystal ball to come alive with your fabulous future."

"What kind of fortune teller would set up shop in a forest?" Delaney questions in thought.

Soon, James and Meowth come by in orange farmer disguises.

Ah, this truly is your lucky day, young man," James says.

Then Meowth says, "Dis lady is famous for predicting tings right."

"Well, talk is cheap, so let's see a little proof," Delaney says.

"Right," James says, and presents the crate, Do you see these oranges? She predicted the price of OJ would soar, so we jumped on the orange bandwagon."

"We grew a bumper crop of dese babies oilyer dis season, now we're rollin' in dough!" Meowth says.

"So we returned to say thanks because we thought she should know," James says.

"We made millions in a minute cause she told us what to grow," Meowth says, juggling the oranges.

But Jessie says, "Now, now. I can't take all of the credit when it was my trusty crystal ball told me so." and laughs.

"On top of all that, she's humble, too. Our gratitude is boundless," James says.

"Please accept da fruits of our labor as a token of our sincere appreciation," Meowth says

Jessie says in thought annoyed, "This has got to be the worst acting I've ever seen. You're selling oranges, not ham."

"I would really have my fortune told here if I were you," James says.

"Just look at what happened to us," Meowth says.

"Toodle-oo!" James says.

James and Meowth depart.

"Now then," Jessie says, and picks up crystal ball, "Shall we change your loser life forever? Hmm. I see you possess a Pokemon, a powerful one. A Poliwrath!"

"How did you know that?" Delaney asks, surprised.

"Yes, your Poliwrath is a fine specimen of strength!" Jessie says.

"What?! You can see how strong Poliwrath is?!" Delaney asks, shocked.

"Darling, I can see what your Poliwrath had for breakfast yesterday," Jessie says.

Delaney is impressed, Awesome! So please, tell me, what do you see in my future?"

"Your future. Let's see," Jessie says, and looks at the ball, "I see a bright, happy, successful future with riches beyond belief, and…" but lets out a gasp, "What's this?"

"What? What do you see in there?" Delaney asks, shocked.

"A dark and angry cloud hangs over your bright future. It's your Poliwrath! It's possessed with evil and angst!" Jessie says.

"But, what can I do about it?" Delaney asks, worried.

"Not to worry, my little friend. My vast powers can remove the evil that haunts your Poliwrath," Jessie says.

"Yeah? Please do!" Delaney says.

"As you wish. If you would please place your Poliwrath before me," Jessie says.

Delaney does so, and places his Pokeball with Poliwrath inside on the table.

Jessie stands up, "I'll eliminate every evil spirit that plagues your poor Pokemon. First, I place my bad begone cloth like so. Now close your eyes and slowly count to thirty, while thinking beautiful thoughts of your poor Poliwrath. Okay! Begin counting slowly and loudly!"

"Now? Right!" Delaney questions.

Delaney starts to count while Team Rocket prepares to make their escape, but Delaney stops at ten.

"Will this really...?" Delaney questions as he opens his eyes, but realizes something is wrong.

Jessie is holding his Pokeball and tries to sneak away with it.

"Uh oh," Jessie asks.

"What are you doing with my Pokéball?!" Delaney exclaims.

"Running!" Team Rocket cries out and dashes off.

"What?!" Delaney cries out in shock, "You were all in on this!"

Shortly after, Mew and her friends walk out of the Pokemon Center when they hear, "Thieves!"

"Wasn't that...?" Brock asks.

"It was Delaney's voice," Misty says.

"Quick! Let's go!" Mew says.

Right!" Everyone agrees.

Meanwhile, Delaney chases Team Rocket down.

Delaney cries out, "Give me back my Poliwrath, you crooks!"

"Delaney!" Misty calls out.

"What happened?!" Tomo asks.

"Those three guys! They stole my Poliwrath!" Delaney says.

They soon see the three thieves.

"I'll be I know who those three are!" Mew says.

And right on cue, Team Rocket begins their motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble, I'm predicting the worse!

James:

And make it double cause you heard it here first!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: (removes disguise)

Jessie!

James: (removes disguise)

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

Wobbuffet:

Wobbuuuuufet!

(Surpiiiiise, folks!)

And soon, Team Rocket are in the basket of their hot air balloon.

"Team Rocket!" The group cries out.

"What were you expecting, some fortune teller?" Jessie says in a mocking tone.

"Hey! I'll tell you your fortune. We steal your Pokemon!" James says.

"Next reading, five o'clock!" Meowth says.

"You won't get away with it!" Mew shouts.

"Come back here with my Poliwrath!" Delaney shouts.

Then Jessie says, "The tarot cards say…"

"We will get away!" James says.

Meowth calls out, "So have a nice day!"

The hot air balloon continues to fly away and soon disappears.

"They're gone!" Mew says.

"I've got to save my Poliwrath!" Delaney says, and hurries off.

Everyone does so and heads down a hill as Team Rocket laughs in triumph .The group shows as they continue to chase. Soon, they start sliding downhill right towards the highway at the bottom before they land in a hay pile on the back of a truck.

Mew turns her head, I can still see em!"

The gang watches to see Team Rocket has already gone.

"There they go behind that mountain top!" Brock says.

"This was a bad time. I ended up leaving many of my Pokemon at the Pokemon Center," Mew says, and none of them can really fly.

Soon, Mew realizes, "Celebi!"

"I'll help too!" Tomo says. Then calls out, "Go Delibird!"

Soon, Celebi and Delibird are released.

"Celebi, we need you to find Team Rocket," Mew says.

"Delibird, help Celebi," Tomo says.

Both Pokemon nod in reply and set off to search for them.

"Thanks guys, I owe you guys one," Delaney says.

Later, the truck comes to a stop and the group quickly jump off and hurry out.

"This way!" Mew says.

Meanwhile, with Team Rocket…

Jessie chuckles, "That went better than expected."

"Yes, it's great that we have such low expectations," James says,

"Now it's time to inspect da spoils!" Meowth says.

Then Jessie calls out, "Alright, Poliwrath, come out!"

Poliwrath is called out.

"Alright! Part one of the plan complete!" James says.

"And part two is catching Pikachu and Eevee!" Meowth says.

Jessie then says, "Now, Poliwrath, from here on you'll refer to me as your master."

Poliwrath, instead, uses Double Slap on her.

Jessie feels the pain on her cheeks, "The nerve! How dare you lay a Double Slap on your master!

"Very feisty, aren't you?" James says.

"But not very smart," Meowth says.

Then Jessie calls out, "Arbok, go, now!"

And Arbok comes out.

"It's time to teach our slap happy friend here some manners!" Jessie shouts.

Poliwrath charges in and uses Double Slap on Arbok, knocking it out easily.

"Arbok!" Jessie cries out.

"Now, perhaps we've all just started off on the wrong foot," James says, and tries to reason with it, "Dear, sweet, strong Poliwrath."

But Poliwrath puts James in a Submission attack.

"Why, you big brute," James says, in pain.

Then Meowth says, "You guys just don't know how to communicate with da big guy!" And says in a singing tone, "Let's be friends. Say yes."

However, Poliwrath blasts Meowth with a Water Gun.

"Was dat a no?" Meowth says, soaked and wet.

"So, part one did go as expected," James says.

But Jessie is not accepting defeat, "No one, but no one Double Slaps me and gets away with it!"

Meanwhile, Mew and her friends continue searching, but soon notice a building that looks like a Pokemon Center.…

"Do you think THIS is a Pokemon Center?" Misty asks.

"It's small, but it's the right address," Brock says.

"Come on," Mew says.

Everyone enters and contacts Nurse Joy at the previous town.

"Nurse Joy, how are the Pokemon we left with you?" Mew asks.

"Joy: They're all back to tip-top shape," Nurse Joy asks.

"Thanks. Could you please send them here?" Mew asks.

"No problem," Nurse Joy says.

In no time, receives her Pokemon and the gang exit out the building.

"Glad I still had Celebi," Mew says.

"And we had other Pokemon who can fly," Tomo says.

"I hope Celebi and Delibird can find them," Jen says.

"Mew!" Celebi's voice calls out.

The group looks to see Celebi and Delibird return.

"Did you find them?" Mew asks.

"We did, but they're doing something terrible," Celebi says.

"What did they do?" Misty asks, worried.

Suddenly, someone cries out, "Oh, this is terrible!"

Someone comes running up to the group.

"What's wrong," Misty asks.

"It's awful! There's this Poliwrath that challenged an Ursaring to battle, and now they're feudin' like crazy!" The old man says.

"Poliwrath?" Delaney says, confused.

"Yeah! And, you know, there's three other folks, too," The man says.

"Team Rocket," Mew says, realizing who they are.

Celebi nods, "Yes. That's them alright."

Meanwhile, Delaney's Poliwrath is seen in some kind of harness device and battling an Ursaring as Jessie laughs.

"Save your bad breath for someone else. Now that Poliwrath has been pacified with our mark 3 Matter Minder, you'll be next!" Jessie says.

Then calls out, " Now, Poliwrath, show me a Double Slap!"

The device forces Poliwrath to comply, but Ursaring retaliates.

"No, that's wrong! Get on your feet!" Jessie shouts, using the controlling device.

Poliwrath does so by force.

"Obedient Submission!" Jessie calls out.

Poliwrath performs the move against its will and throws far into the distance.

"Jessie Say! I didn't know you were mechanically inclined," James says.

"Now we're ready to get dat Pikachu and Eevee," James says.

"No way!" Mew shouts.

Team Rocket looks and sees Mew and the others show up.

"Hold it!" Brock says.

"That's MY Poliwrath!" Delaney angrily shouts.

"I'm afraid your ownership days are over, young man. Right, dear?" Jessie says.

The group get a close look at what Poliwrath is strapped in,"

"Poliwrath!" Misty cries out.

"There, see? Poliwrath is part of Team Rocket now," Jessie says.

"You're using that thing to control it! Stop it right now!" Delaney says.

Mew then calls out, "Phanpy, I choose you!"

Phanpy appears.

"Obedience Water Gun!" Jessie says.

Poliwrath is forced to perform the attack and hit Phanpy.

"Don't give in, Phanpy, Take Down!" Mew calls out.

Phanpy charges in, but…

"Hold on, guys. That's my Poliwrath you're battling," Delaney says.

"We know, but we need to get that control off of it," Mew says.

"Good. Now then, Obedience Double Slap!" Jessie says.

Delaney's Poliwrath is forced to hit with the attack.

"Hang in there, Phanpy!" Mew calls out

Then Misty says, "Leave this to me. Corsola, I choose you!" and calls out Corsola.

Soon, Corsola comes out.

Misty calls out, "Now, Corsola, aim for the center of that awful machine! Tackle!"

Corosola charges at the device and lands.

Then Misty calls out, "Now use Spike Cannon!"

Corsola uses Spike Cannon and it sends the device clamping onto Jessie

"What's going on?" Jessie panics.

Meowth soon catches the device, "Dis is great! Jessie, I choose yous!"

"I'm not a Pokemon!" Jessie cries out.

Meowth soon makes Jessie do as he commands.

"Cool. Obedient Scratch attack, now!" Meowth says.

Jessie charges in.

Misty calls out, "Now, Tackle!"

Corsola nails Jessie easily.

"Now, Jessie, use Obedience Tackle!" Meowth says, using the control.

"No!" Jessie cries out.

Jessie is flung into battle again while Delaney checks on Poliwrath.

"Hey. Wake up. Please," Delaney says, concerned.

Poliwrath gets up as Jessie is hit by both Spike Cannon and Astonish, knocking her down and out.

"How come you get all the fun?" James asks.

"Okay, here," Meowth says, and hands the control box to James, "Why don't you give her a spin?"

"Thanks," James says, and uses the control, "Jess, Obedience Flamethrower."

"And how am I supposed to pull THAT off?!" Jessie cires out.

"How about Obedience Hyper Beam?" James says.

Jessie angrily shouts, "Sorry, I can't."

"Why?" James asks.

"Anybody can do a Hyper Beam," Meowth says.

"Maybe you can, I can't!" Jessie says.

"Drat. Oh well. Submission!" James says, and uses the control

Jessie is flung into the fray once more, When I get ahold of you, I'll…"

Jessie ends up stumbling onto her back.

"Oh well," James says.

"Uh oh. I guess you should never use a human to do a Pokémon's job," Meowth replies.

"From now on, your job is to watch your back!" Jessie shouts.

Then Delaney calls out, "Poliwrath, Double Slap, now!"

Poliwrath uses the attack on Jessie, causing her to be on her back hard enough to get the harness off.

"Well, thank you," Jessie says.

Alright, Victreebel, it's your turn!" James calls out.

Victreebel comes out of the pokeball, but tries to eat James' head.

"This is getting very old!" James cries out.

"You know, I think dat Matter Minder Mark tree would do a lot for dat Victreebel, I do, I do," Meowth says with a nod.

Jessie calls out her Pokemon, "Arbok, now, go!"

"Alright, go, Phanpy!" Mew calls out.

Phanpy prepares for battle.

"Now it's our turn! Poliwhirl, let's go!" Misty says.

Poliwhirl comes out, but with the King's Rock on its head.

Misty soon notices, "What's that?"

"Wait, is that…" Jen asks.

"It's wearing my King's Rock!" Mew says.

"You must have dropped it when you feel at the Pokemon Center, and Poliwhirl picked it up," Tomo says

The rock starts glowing and Poliwhirl follows soon after.

Team Rocket shouts, "Shazam!"

"I think Poliwhirl's evolving!" Misty says.

The glow fades to reveal Misty's new Pokemon. A green, bipedal, amphibian Pokémon with yellow hands, belly, throat, and toes. It has a long, curled hair on top of its head and pink cheek spots. There is a green swirl on its belly. Its legs are well developed and it has bulbous toes and fingers.

And soon, it begins dancing.

"Poliwhirl evolved into a Politoed," Brock says

"Whoa," Misty says.

"That's pretty," Tomo says.

"Aww, it's cute," Jen says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Politoed, the Frog Pokemon. A Water Type. Politoed likes to expand its throat and sing out, drawing in Poliwag and Poliwhirl from all around.

"Friendly little guy," Mew says.

"And Jen's right, it's pretty cute, too, huh?" Misty says.

"You know, Poliwhirl could've evolved into Politoed or a Poliwrath," Brock says.

"I remember. Poliwhirl can evolve to Poliwrath with a Water Stone, or evolve to Politoed with a King's Rock," Mew says.

"Amazing! I just love it!" Misty says.

Suddenly, Jessie says, "Hate to spoil the moment, but Politoed's ours! Go, Arbok!"

Arbok charges in.

"Phanpy, Take Down!" Mew calls out.

Phanpy charges in.

"Victreebel, get in there!" James says.

Victreebel charges in, but Politoed politely greets it. The girls end up giggling.

Trying her best not to laugh, Misty calls out, "No, that's the enemy! Use your Water Gun and let's show em what an evolved Poliwhirl's really made of!"

Politoed fires the attack.

"Victreebel, Razor Leaf attack! James says.

Both attacks are launched, resulting in a stalemate.

Then Misty calls out, "Politoed, Double Slap!"

Politoed's attack lands, very hard.

"Hey! No fair!" James cries out.

"Great moves, Politoed!" Misty says.

Right on cue, Politoed does a victory dance.

"Uh. Good dance moves, too," Misty sheepishly says.

Molly giggles, "Politoed's funny."

Suddenly, Delaney calls out, "Ash! Phanpy's in trouble!"

Everyone looks and sees Phanpy in a Wrap attack as Delaney talks.

"Phanpy!" Mew says, and runs toward it.

Brock turns to Mist, "Your Politoed, can it use an attack called Swagger?"

"Swagger?" Misty asks.

She then calls out, "Hey, Politoed! Swagger attack, now!

Politoed creates a red aura around itself, confusing Arbok and Victreebel and causing them to fight each other.

"Why are they striking each other?" Jessie asks, confused.

"Maybe dey got Double Slap envy," Meowth says.

"You showed them who's the boss!" Misty says.

As Politoed celebrates, Arbok strikes at it back.

"Oh. That seemed to hit really hard," Misty says.

Brock reads the book, "Although a Swagger attack confuses its opponents, it also raises its opponents' attack power. Sorry."

"Well, that was a big help," Misty says.

Delaney calls out, "Poliwrath, Double Slap!"

Poliwrath charges in and the attack lands while Politoed cheers Poliwrath on.

"Make yourself useful! Politoed, Double Slap attack, now!" Misty calls out.

Politoed uses the attack and lands on Victreebel.

Mew calls out, "Phanpy, Take Down attack!"

Phanpy's attack nails both Arbok and Victreebel, sending them flying into Team Rocket and sending Poliwrath's Pokeball flying as well.

"Grab that ball!" Brock calls out, "

Delaney manages to catch it in time, "Hey! It's MY Pokeball!"

"Great! " Mew says. Then says, "Alright, Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt em, go!"

Both Pokemon launch the attack and send Team Rocket flying.

Dizzy, James says, "So much for your 'first catch a Poliwrath, then catch Pikachu and Eevee' plan!"

"The problem was we first should've caught a Pokemon more powerful than Poliwrath!" Jessie says.

"But in order for us to do dat…" Meowth says.

": We'd have to catch an even more powerful Pokemon!" James says.

"But first we'd need one more powerful than that!" Jessie says.

"I quit," Meowth says.

"So, for now, we're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

"We did it!" Mew cheers.

Politoed continues celebrating with glee.

Then Mew has thought of something, "Hey Misty, do you think the two Clamperl may have got some of my things in them."

"You're right. If Politoed grab one of your stuff, than my Clamperls did too," Misty says.

With that, Misty calls out her two Clamperl. They both open to see them both having the Tooth and the Scale.

"They got the Deep Sea Tooth and Deep Sea Scale," Brock says.

And right on cue, both the Clamperl begin to glow and soon begin to evolve.

"They're evolving," Misty says.

Soon, the female Clamperl changes into pink, serpentine Pokémon with a long, thin mouth. It has pink skin A long, purple-tipped fin extends from the top of its head, and there is a thin, pointed fin extending beneath its head. There are two purple shells on its chest, causing it to somewhat resemble a mermaid. The tail has a purple, circular fin at the tip, and two white bands near its base.

And the Male Clamperl evolves into a light-blue, aquatic Pokémon with a serpentine body. Orange, semi-circular fins run the length of its spine, and there are two additional fins on the underside of its lower jaw. A large, fan-like fin. White spots that are surrounded by orange rings, resembling its eyes, dot its body. It's large mouth features sharp teeth.

"They evolved," Misty says.

"They're Huntail and Gorebyss," Mew says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Huntail, the Deep Sea Pokemon, and the evolved form of Clamperl. A Water Type. Huntail's tail is shaped like a fish. It uses the tail to attract prey, then swallows the prey whole with its large, gaping mouth. This Pokémon swims by wiggling its slender body like a snake. This Pokemon will evolve with the contact of a Deep Sea Tooth."

"Gorebyss, the South Sea Pokemon, and the evolved form of Clamperl. A Water Type. Gorebyss lives in the southern seas at extreme depths. Its body is built to withstand the enormous pressure of water at incredible depths. Because of this, this Pokémon's body is unharmed by ordinary attacks. Clamperl will evolve to Gorebyss with a Deep Sea Scale."

"Wow. All three of your Pokemon evolved," Molly says.

"Yeah, but I kind of feel bad that the items were Mew's things," Misty says.

"That's okay. Things happen. On the bright side, you now have three newly evolved Pokemon," Mew says.

"Thanks," Misty says.

Later that evening…

"Thanks for everything, you guys. I owe you everything for getting back my Poliwrath," Delaney says.

"We're just glad we could help you out," Misty says.

"Now we're headed to the Blackthorn gym," Mew says.

"Great! Go get that last badge, Mew! Good luck!" Delaney says.

"Thank you!" Mew says.

"Take care of Poliwrath!" Brock says.

Everyone says their goodbyes to Delaney as they take off on another adventure. Once again, they helped out someone in need, with Misty's Poliwhirl evolving into a Politoed, along with both Clamperl evolving into Huntail and Gorebyss as a happy result. Now, as their journey continues, they'll have even more memories to carry with them.
