Episode 130: Xatu the Future

On a bright sunny day, Mew and her friends continue on their journey to Mahogany Town. But unknown to them and ahead of the path, Team Rocket is having another pit trap scheme. Team Rocket marvels their pitfall trap.

"Wow. It's so round," James comments.

"And deep enough to trap the most tenacious of twerps," Jessie says.

"Now, for the most important part," James says.

The threesome soon get to work, and filling up the cover of the whole.

Layer one," James says.

"Nowhere to run," Jessie says.

"Now we're done," James says.

"It's absolutely indivisible," Meowth says.

"And you can't see it, either.," Jessie says.

She then looks ahead and spots the group, "Ah. Such impeccable timing."

"Shall we?" James questions.

"To da bushes!" Meowth says.

"Right!" Jessie and James say.

Team Rocket quickly hides in the bushes. Meanwhile, Mew and her friends continue walking along, unaware that a trap is awaiting them.

"It's so pretty and peaceful," Misty says.

"A little too peaceful if you ask me," Brock says.

"You're right. Feels like Team Rocket's up to something," Mew says.

"Like what?" Molly asks.

"Like they set a trap," Tomo says.

"Yeah, let's check this spot out," Mew says.

She then jumps up and down and finds the ground is solid.

"Maybe not," Brock says.

Seeing it, James says, "I think they broke our hole."

"Broke it?!" Meowth questions.

The threesome let themselves be known.

"Hey! Of all the nerve," Jessie angrily says.

Mew and the others exclaim, "Team Rocket!"

"We worked hard on that pitfall, so start falling!" Jessie says.

"That's right and it's a, perfectly, good, hole, so I wanna see some, falling!" James says as he jumps up and down on the spot.

Soon, the trip gives way and everyone falls into the hole.

"So it did work," Mew says.

"We should land on our feet!" Misty says.

"Right!" Everyone replies, and turns upright.

"We already thought of doing that," Team Rocket says.

Team Rocket lands first.

Then Jen shouts, "Look out below!"

And moments later, Mew and the others crash onto Team Rocket.

"Thanks for the soft landing," Mew says.

"Always happy to help out when needed," James says.

Soon, Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuuuuuuuffet!" (Any time!)

The ground suddenly gives way and they all fall deeper until they enter some kind of underground hallway.

"You caused this, Blobbuffet. Now get back in your ball," Jessie cries out and recalls Wobbuffet.

Mew looks around, "Where are we?"

"Is it possible WE dug a hole that deep?" James asks.

"We're better den we tought," Meowth says.

"We're not impressed," Tomo says.

Soon, one of Tomo's Pokeballs lands on the ground and lets out Natu. then Natu perches herself on Tomo's head.

"Natu," (Hello.) Natu says.

"Hi Natu," Tomo says.

Suddenly, they hear ringing and look to see a young woman wearing some tribal outfit with purple eyes and teal hair running toward them.

She says in a panic, "Oh no! I'm so late! I've gotta hurry! I'm in for it big time!"

She then stops to see the two groups, "Who in the world are you?!"

Jessie begins the motto, "Prepare for trouble and make it quick!"

But the girl interrupts, "I don't have time for this silly schtick!"

Jessie stumbles in disbelief.

Then Misty asks, "Excuse me, but where are we?"

"We're lost," Jen says.

And Brock says, blushing"But now that you're here, I've found my way!"

"Well, I suppose you could just follow me," The woman says, and hurries off.

Soon, both groups follow the girl up a flight of stairs, puzzled by their surroundings.

"What is this place?" Tomo asks.

Then Misty notices, "Look up there! Are those Pokemon!"

Everyone looks up to see a group of Pokemon. They area green, condor-like Pokémon with long, red-and-black tipped white wings that cover most of the front. Underneath the wings are designs that resemble red eyes. Along with its main green coloration, their designs have accents of black, yellow, and red. There is an extra set of yellow stripes on a male Xatu. It has almond eyes, a long, slightly hooked beak, and two long, red feather feet have only two toes, one in front and one in back. Their designs are similar to a totem pole or a kachina doll.

"They're Xatus," Mew says and gets out her Pokdex.

Dexter says, "Xatu, the Mystic Pokemon, and the evolved form of Natu. A Psychic and Flying Type. Xatu is said to be able to tell the future with a high degree of accuracy, but it is unknown whether its prophecies are correct."

Tomo looks at Natu, "So you'll evolve into that someday."

The girl says, "People around here have been using Xatu for centuries to make all kinds of important decisions. Fortune telling is very important to us."

"Fortune telling?" Mew asks.

Then Jessie says, "Hello there. My name's Jessie, and I just love fortune telling. Understand?"

Then Misty says, "I'm Misty. Please tell me my fortune."

But Xatu doesn't answer.

But the woman says, "You see, Xatu is constantly in a deep trance because it's always gazing at the past and the future at the same time. By the way, I'm Calista, but I really have to go."

Calista runs further up the stairs.

"Let's follow her," Mew says.

With that, the group follows.

"Calista," Brock says in lovey dovey.

"Even if Xatu's on the level, who would understand what's being said?" James questions.

But Meowth says, "Hello? I tink dat yous forgot dat dis talking Pokemon speaks both Pokemon and human. The twerpette and the little boy twerp can talk to Pokemon as well.

Then Calisty calls out, "Okay. Xatu one and three, let's go!"

The two Xatu quickly fly away.

"Now, just to be clear, I want to hear every last detail about my ever so happy future," Jessie calls out.

"Evah so happy? I don't tink so," Meowth says in remark.

And Jessie responds by pushing Meowth's face down, "Keep your paws off my happiness."

Up the stairs…

"We're just going to make it!" Calista sas.

Calista, the Xatu and our heroes soon reach the top of the stairs and find grandstands filled with people.

Calista comes forward and calls out, "Hi! Are you ready to see Xatu?!"

"Yes, we are!" The Spectators answer.

"This looks like some kind of concert or something," Mew says.

"Now, ready!" Calista says and pulls out two fans, "Red fan, out!"

As Calista speaks, the spectators do as she does.

Calista then says, "White fan, out! Red fan, down! White fan, down!"

"Pika?" (What are...?) Pikachu replies confused.

"Eevee?" (They doing…?" Eevee adds, confused.

Team Rocket soon shows up.

"What is this?" Jessie asks.

"Now let's get on with today's fortune telling! Xatu, tell us today's, weather forecast!" Calista announces.

Both Xatu move their wings in time in different ways.

Confused, Jessie says, "That's odd. They're speaking in flag language."

Jessie turns to Meowth, "Meowth, you've got to tell us what they're saying."

"Me?! Hey, I'm not da coast guard, you know. What do I know about speaking flag language? I only speak Pokemon and humans," Meowth says, confused.

Mew sheepishly says, "I'm afraid I'm stumped as well."

"Me too," Tomo says.

"Thanks a lot," Jessie and James reply, disappointed.

Meowth shouts at them, "Dat's one more dan both of yous!"

Soon, the Xatu have their prediction.

Calista announces, "The great Xatu speaks! If it is not cloudy today, you will be clear with no chance of thunderstorms unless it should rain!"

The spectators are amazed, but Mew and the others are confused.

"What kind of talk is that?" Mew asks.

"Uh, I think it's called double talk," Brock says.

Suddenly, rain falls.

"Rain. But I thought you said…" Misty says, worried.

Calista is getting concerned, "Uh oh. I know that they forecasted clear skies. Hold on. Everyone, I know it's pouring rain out here but please, please stay put! Xatu number 1, Xatu number 3! Come quickly!"

They soon head back towards the stairs.

"Wait," Mew calls out.

"No time to lose," Calista says, "The rain could be a sign that the day is here. I must know!" and runs off.

"What day?" Mew asks.

Brock calls out, "Calista!"

"Wait up!" Tomo calls out.

Soon, the gang follows Calista down the stairs.

Team Rocket watches them head back downstairs.

"That's odd," Jessie says.

"Where are they going?" James says, confused.

"Someting's up," Meowth says.

"I have to agree," Tomo says.

Just then, Natu perches on the railing.

"What is it, girl?" Tomo asks.

Natu looks up at the sky.

Suddenly, a spector begins to complain, "Hey, you three! What about the rest of it?!"

"With the Xatu gone, someone's gotta tell us the forecast!" Another spector shouts.

"But we're not soothsayers," Jessie says.

"We don't even know flag language!" Meowth says.

The crowd keeps shouting.

"It would be a crying shame to let such a big crowd go to waste without a little showbiz," Meowth says.

But the Spectators shout, "No! No! We won't go!"

"How about a song?" Meowth asks.

But Jessie says, "Oh no. A professional such as myself would never go on unprepared. I know! Let's play Rock Paper Scissors! Fortune telling has never been one of my strong suits, but Rock Paper Scissors is! Oh, and one more thing. Make sure you all play paper. Ready? Set? And a one, and a two, and a three!

The crowd, ultimately, plays along with it.

Jessie happily says, "Ha! You lose, so, there's the door. So, buh-bye!"

The crowd keeps going along with it.

"They're awfully quiet," James says.

"I'm used to getting this reaction when I showcase my talents," Jessie says.

Then turns to her teammates, "Now, let's get down to it and tail the twerps."

"Okay!" James and Meowth say.

Then they follow the group. However, Tomo, Skwovet, Meloetta, and Natu stayed behind.

"What's wrong, Natu?" Tomo asks.

"Loetta?" (Are you okay?) Meloetta asks.

"Natu Nat Natu." (Something is wrong.) Natu says.

"What?" Tomo asks.

"Nat Natu." (The weather.) Natu says.

"The weather?" Tomo questions, and looks up on the dark clouds.

Meanwhile, Calista continues running down stairs.

"I have to hurry!" Calista says, in a hurry.

Then calls out, "Xatu two, come along as well!"

Xatu Two follows along and Mew and the others follow Calista and the Xatu into a room with a big screen.

"What's this?" Mew asks.

"This is our weather information control center," Calista says.

"This is fortune telling?" Brock questions.

"Sort of," Calista says, and types on a few keys.

Then a Xatu shaped satellite rises up.

"First, I'll compile the latest date," Calista says.

"What's that?" Molly asks.

"What it looks like is a Xatu, but it's really an antenna," Brock says.

The antenna rises up and in the view of the spectators outside.

Calista continues working on the data, "Let's see. There's a high pressure ridge moving in, which means sunny skies with a chance of very light rain. No real accumulation."

Back with Team Rocket.

"Did you get a load of that metallic Xatu?!" James asks.

"It's an antenna!" Jessie confirms.

Soon, Wobbuffet comes out and ends up sending all of Team Rocket rolling right into the weather information control center and Mew and the others.

"You are so gone!" Jessie shouts, and recalls Wobbuffet.

Calista says to the others, "Please keep it down! I can't think!"

One of the Xatu starts speaking flag.

"Really?" Calista says, surprised. Then turns to the group, "Is it possible that one of you have the ability to forecast the weather?"

"I don't think so," Mew answers.

"Not me," Brock says.

"Me neither," Misty says.

"No," Jen and Molly reply.

Then Brock says, "But, I have heard there are Pokemon that are able to predict the weather."

"It's not a Pokemon I'm talking about, it's a human," Calista says, "Xatu three told me that person who was able to predict the weather would come here today."

"It's not me," James says.

"It's not me," Misty says.

"Me, neither," Mew says.

"Molly and Jen shake their heads.

"I know an awful lot about Pokémon breeding, but I'm clueless about the weather," Bock says.

Calista says in disbelief, "But that can't be! Xatu three predicted it to be a…"

"Maybe it did, but…" Mew says.

Then Calista says, "Well, Xatu three is getting along in years and not quite as accurate at predicting as before. I'm the thirteenth generation of my family to report the Xatu prophecies, but no Xatu can live forever, and perhaps Xatu three is winding down."

"That was harsh," Jessie says, "You should be more sensitive to other's feelings."

Everyone is shocked and surprised to hear Jessie say those things.

"Jessie!" James says, shocked.

"I think I know whereof I speak," Jessie says. Then her eyes sparkle, "As long ago, I worked at a TV station as the weather girl."

Flashback:

Jessie is predicting the weather, "This moving low pressure front should, uh... What I mean to say is the high pressure front will cause some heavy, uh... Well well well, the weather's going to be a big mess tomorrow! That's the deal!" but her prediction seems a bit complex.

Flashback ends:

"I really put my all into it," Jessie says.

"Wow," Calista replies, impressed, "Why would you just quit such a wonderfully exciting career?"

Then Jessie says, "Well, you see, my weather forecasts were sometimes unpredictable so I was let go. But I've gotten my act together since then," and nods.

"So that means, Xatu must've been looking into your past the whole time without knowing it!" Calista says.

As Calista talks, the Xatu looking into her past starts sweating like crazy.

Jessie panics, "What? Whoa, there. Please, let's, look at something else, okay?"

The Xatu sweats more and more until it finally collapses.

"I think Xatu's seen quite enough of your past," Calista says.

"Xatu, Xat Xat Xat, Xatu!" (Jessie is a bit too complex for me!) Calista says.

"Well at least I can understand what's he saying," Mew says.

"What's that?" Misty asks.

"He says that Jessie's past is a bit too complex for him," Mew says.

Calista nods, "Yes. You are correct."

"Of course. True beauty comes from the hard times we can walk away from, eh?" Jessie says.

"Whatever, now tell me what this weather map is saying to you," Calista says, and turns to the mpa.

Jessie looks at it, "Um, let's see. It's not talking about rain."

"But it's raining," Calista says.

"So? Then it's just, a spritz," Jessie responds.

"You sure about that?" Calista questions.

"Huh?" Jessie replies, confused.

Then Calista looks at the data, "First, lets take a look at all the data we've been receiving from our from our weather satellite for the week."

The data is presented on screen.

"So I don't see any major changes," Jessie says.

Soon, all the Xatu start reacting all at once.

Back outside, Natu begins to feel very uneasy.

"Natu, what's wrong?" Tomo asks and holds her in his arms, "Are you okay?"

"Nat Nat Natu Natu," (I'm not sure, but I'm seeing a storm coming doon, and a bad one.) Natu says.

"A storm?" Tomo questions.

Back in the weather room…

The Xatu continues reacting.

Calista says in shock, "Oh my. It's the day."

"What day are you talking about?" Misty asks.

"Long ago, Xatu foretold a great disaster! A hard rain would fall for days! It would flood our community and bring hardship to everyone here!" Calista says.

"A flood?!" Molly asks, shocked.

"And tomorrow is the day!" Calista says.

"Oh no!" Misty and Jen say in sock.

"The rising water will destroy everything in its path, and on that day, my duties and Xatu's will be over," Calista says.

However, Jessie says, "But you know how difficult it can be to predict the weather. I mean, this weather map looks to me like there's only a 1% chance of rain."

"But as long as there's any chance, people will worry," Calista says, "Everyone here lives their daily lives according to the prophecies of the Xatu."

However, Brock says, "You can't have people falling over each other to leave just because of a 1% accurate weather forecast!"

"Someone will get hurt," Mew says.

"And that someone could be me," James says.

"But, don't all of Xatu's prophecies come true," Misty says.

"Sometimes," Calista admits, "Lately, Xatu's been making more and more mistakes, especially with all its weather prophecies. Up to now, I've been able to convince everyone that this weather data was coming from Xatu and keep their confidence. But if this great flood prophecy turns out to be wrong, I just won't know how to explain it to people. I'm afraid they may end up hating the Xatu. I, I just can't let that happen to my sweet Xatu."

And Jessie says, "Oh, give me a break! Do you really believe that Xatu can predict the future? Has it ever once predicted yours? Huh?"

"Oh no! If I thought everything in the future could be predicted, I think I'd probably go crazy!" Calista says, in defense.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Misty says.

"Just imagine everything that's going to happen. No hope or dreams, no goals or wishes," Calista says.

"Yes, I suppose that you're right," Jessie says.

Jessie then explains, "From the time I was a little girl, I've had my fortune read ten thousand times from the four main sources. Dice, cards, a crystal ball, and women's magazines. Those lame fortune tellers end up being wrong and at least as many times as they are right. In the end, you only have yourself to rely on."

"What do we do now?" Mew asks.

"I'll, have to decide," Calista says. Then looks to her Xatu, "I've, decided that, Xatu, is right!"

Then Calista notices, "Hey, wasn't there a little boy with you?"

"You mean little jungle twerp and his Natu. They're still outside. From what I'm getting, Natu is sensing something about the weather," Meowth says.

"The weather," Calista replies, and ponders over it. Then says in her thought, "Could it be, the other part of the prophecy."

Sometime later, everyone arrives, and sees Tomo holding Natu.

"There you are, Tomo," Mew says.

"We were worried," Brock says.

"Sorry guys, but Natu senses something really wrong, and tells me the weather is going to be worse," Tomo says.

Calista steps forward with the Xatu, "I know."

Calista then addresses the crowd, "Attention! A great flood will strike this valley tomorrow!"

The crowd starts to worry as the Xatu speak in flag.

Then Calista says, "The Xatu have prophesied! You must trust this prophecy and feel for your lives!"

Soon, Natu flies over, perches on the railing and begins speaking.

"What's Natu doing?" Misty asks.

"Natu said that they must trust Xatu's prophecy. Even she can sense this flood is upon them," Tomo says.

Calista turns to Tomo, "And?"

Tomo then explains, "Natu also senses something wrong and has been using her psychic powers to see the future. And even she can tell that a great flood will be upon them by tomorrow, maybe even earlier. So please, you must have trust in the prophecy and must leave this place as quickly as you can."

Then Calista says, "Yes. You must trust the prophecy, and the boy and Natu that the Xatu foretold. Prophecy also says that a young boy and a Natu will arrive to help guide us when the day comes. So please, trust the prophecy and leave now."

The crowd suddenly, unexpectedly, puts their most valuable possessions at the top of the stairs. Then they hurry away from the area.

"So, what's with the loot donation?" Jessie asks.

"They're symbols of the people's appreciation, but I'm afraid they're more trouble than they're worth," Calista says.

"Some trouble," Jessie says.

"Looks more like…" James says.

"Fat city!" Misty says.

Misty then asks, "Calista, what will you do if the flood really does come tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure," Calista says, "Figure out my next move, I guess. And, of course, Xatu really knows what's to come, so you can be sure it will go where it will be happy."

"Calsita, what do you mean, about me and Natu?" Tomo asks.

"Yes. The Xatu also prophesied that a boy and his Natu will help the last generation to safety when the day comes. And you are that trainer along with your Natu," Calista says.

Then says, "Thank you, Tomo. Natu."

"It would be a shame if these fortunes were to float away in the flood," Jessie says.

"The flood's tomorrow…" James says.

"So let's steal em today!" Meowth says

The Xatu soon spot something.

"Huh? What is it, Xatu?!" Calista asks.

Team Rocket soon spots what the Xatu spotted, the Team Rocket Debt Deposit Delibird.

"That moneygrubbing Delibird!" Jessie exclaims.

"Isn't that Delibird part of Team Rocket?" Mew questions.

"Is that a bill in its bill?" James asks.

The Delibird drops something with the Team Rocket logo and Jessie catches it.

Jessie then catches the book, "If you mean the bill for our next loan payment and Team Rocket dues, sadly, you're right."

"But, Jessie, with all that treasure…" James says.

"We could pawn da pieces, pump da profits, and pay em off!" Meowth says.

The group Jessie tries to sneak one of the pieces.

Ash: That's not yours! Put that necklace down!" Mew sternly says.

"What…" Jessie says.

"Was…" James adds.

"Dat…" Meowth adds.

And Team Rocket performs their motto.

Jessie:

I predict you prepare for trouble!

James:

The crystal ball says make it double!

Jessie:

To protect the future from devastation!

James:

To unite all psychics within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of non-belief!

Jessie:

To read our fortunes from a green tea leaf!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket searches for mystical truth at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now and tell me your sign, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth:

Dat's Right!

"DELIIIIII!" (Payment please!) Delibird calls out.

"You're not looking at the Team Rocket of old, don't you know?" Jessie says.

"That is correct! With the addition of Delibird into our ranks, we're not four strong!" James says.

"Um, you do realize that Delibird is only here to collect the payment you owed?" Mew questions.

Team Rocket says in deflate, "We know."

Team Rocket looks to a confused Delibird.

"So, if you want the money, honey, you'll have to help us out with one teensy battle," Jessie says.

"But mess this one up, and you'll be getting the kind of payoff you haven't bargained for! Is that clear?" James says.

Delibird panics and agrees.

"Alright, Delibird, Present!" Jessie says.

Delibird tosses some orbs at everyone.

"All Xatu, prepare for battle!" Calista calls out.

The three Xatu charge in.

Natu then flies into battle.

"Looks like Natu wants to battle too," Tomo says. "Let's go."

James throws his Pokeball and calls out, "Now you're up, Weezing! Smokescreen!"

Weezing comes out of the Pokeball and fires the attack.

"Good job, Delibird, just keep on using Present!" Jessie says.

Delibird tosses more orbs, forcing everyone to retreat.

"It's been a long time since we've tasted victory," Jessie says.

"Time to take a look at the spoils. Weezing, you can cut the smog now," James says.

Weezing does so, but the Xatu and Natu are still standing.

"How can they just stand there like nothing happened?!" Jessie says, confused.

"Super job, Xatu!" Calista cheers.

"Alright Natu!" Tomo says.

"What happened?" Mew asks.

"My Xatu were able to predict exactly when and where the presents were going to explode," Calista says. Then turns to Tomo, "And I suspect your Natu was able to as well."

"Life would sure be a big bore if you knew the future, isn't that right? Delibird, shower them with presents, now!" Jessie says.

Delibird throws three more orbs, but the Xatu catch them, to Jessie's confusion. Even Natu grabs it.

Leaving Jessie confused, "Huh? They're gonna blow, but they still caught them."

The orbs do indeed explode.

"Yeah!" Team Rocket cheers.

But instead, the orbs healed them.

"Nothing happened," James says. Then wonders, "I wonder if that means that the Delibird's presents are simply restoring all of the Xatus' energy."

"Wobbuffet." (They sure are!) Wobbuffet says.

Another present orb rolls out of Delibird's bag.

"Uh, you dropped someting?" Meowth replies.

"Wobb-uffet!" (That's not good!) Wobbuffet says.

Natu says to Tomo and says others, "Nat Nat Natu." (I suggest we move back.)"

"Xatu." (Everyone move back.) The Xatu says.

"Natu and the Xatu are telling us to stand back," Tomo says.

Everyone does so in reply.

Delibird tries to fly away as the orb explodes, sending Team Rocket blasting off.

"I'm predicting…" James says.

"Dere's a big trip…" Meowth says.

"In our future!" Jessie says.

"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

"WOBBU!" (WHY ME?!) Wobbuffet cries out.

"Nice work," Tomo says.

Soon, Tomo's Natu begins to glow.

"Tomo, Natu's evolving," Mew says.

And soon enough, Tomo's Natu is now a Xatu.

"Wow. Natu evolved," Tomo says.

"It's a Xatu now," Molly says.

Just then, the Xatu are speaking in flag again, while Xatu flaps her arms and talks to Tomo.

"What's wrong, Xatu?" Tomo asks.

Calista rushes over, "Tell me, quickly!" and gets out her fans.

Both Calista and her Xatus are speaking back and forth in flag language while Tomo's Xatu takes to Tomo. Soon, Tomo and Calista have an idea.

"More bad news," Calista says.

"Tell us what's wrong," Brock says.

"Now that the Xatu are feeling much stronger, and with Tomo's Xatu's help they want to change their earlier prophecy. About the flood," Calista says.

"Is it still coming?" Molly asks.

"Yes, but the flood is coming today!" Tomo says.

"What?! But it's only drizzling," Misty says.

"Yes, but in a second, the rain is going to come down hard," Tomo says.

Suddenly, the rain comes down harder.

Back in the weather information control center, the computer goes haywire and can't predict what's going to happen, while the Xatu speak in flag once more.

"What are they saying?" Misty asks.

Calista says, "They say if you leave now, you'll be alright."

The Xatu continues as Calista explains, "The Xatu are also saying, that although predicting the future is really what they love, it's best to use their predictions for guidance, not to be ruled by them. They don't want us all to be living their lives in fear." With teary eyes, Calista says. "Xatu!"

She then continues, "We should be allowed to decide our lives for ourselves.

She chuckles with a smile, "Okay!"

Xatu continues, Calista then says, "And they're talking about all of us here. That means you, too."

"Yeah. We know that our lives can't be decided by some fortune teller," Mew says.

The Xatu speak in flag again.

"They say it's very important to get away from here, now!" CAlista says.

The Xatu and Tomo's Xatu begin to glow blue.

"Look what's happening!" Misty asks.

"I think my Xatu is helping the other Xatu get us out of here," Tomo says.

The three Xatu bid Calista farewell.

"Goodbye, my Xatu," Calista says.

The three Xatu disappear.

"They're using Teleport!" Brock says.

"So is my Xatu," Tomo says.

Soon, right on cue, everyone starts glowing blue.

"We're going, too!" Mew says.

"Xatu!" Calista says.

In the blink of an eye, they all disappear as the flood waters come rushing in. Later, the storm clouds part and everyone is seen on solid ground. Tomo's Xatu is there with him.

Brock turns to Calista and asks, "So where are you going now, Calista?"

"I think I'm gonna go to the city. And be a TV weather reporter," Calista says.

Soon, the sun starts shining again as everyone looks up.

Later that evening, Team Rocket is seen digging through the buried ruins of the very place they were before.

Jessie calls out, "Hey, Delibird! You mind getting off your tail feathers and lending a couple of wings? We've got some serious treasure hunting to do."

But Delibird says, "Delibird. Deli, Delibird." (My job isn't helping you. I'm a bill collector, so I'll be back to collect.)

"It's saying dat it's job ain't supposed to be helping us. Says it's a bill collector, sos it'll be back to collect," Meowth says.

Delibird then flies away.

"And I thought it was all for one and one for all, you deserter!" James says, calls out.

"Well, I know this much about that disturbing Delibird; we can count on seeing it again tomorrow," Jessie says.

"Do you think we can dig up the treasure in time?" James asks.

"If we don't…" Jessie says.

"It'll bury us," Meowth says.

"Maybe we should rustle us up a few Xatu so they can tell us if there's really a fortune in our future," James says.

But Jessie says, "You know how I feel about fortune telling."

"Translation?" James says.

Team Rocket quickly amscrays.

As Meowth cries out, "Run for it!"

"We don't need a psychic read! Running fast is all we need! Go!" Team Rocket cries.

Team Rocket continues to run into the sunset.

Sometime later, Calista is telling the forecast on the tv "And now, the weather. A high pressure front building in from the west will bring us beautifully clear skies and mild temperatures…"
