Vol.2, Ch.7:
With everyone calling it lights out for the night, it made it a little easier to run through the town to chase the White Fang spy. Blake and Sun ahead while the Doctor follows behind. Something felt off about all this as if this spy wasn't the only one watching them. He stopped to think about it and it hit him, the spaceship that crashed during the storm in Menagerie. Everything was getting out of hand.
The Doctor: DAMNIT!
Using his sonic screwdriver, he causes sparks from a nearby machine which startles the spy and turns around to make a jump to the roofs and continue running. Blake and Sun followed while the Doctor ran towards another direction.
Sun: Hey, wait up! Where's the Doctor?
Blake: Doesn't matter. Don't let her out of your sight! Why are you watching me?
The spy turned around to look at Blake and gave her a smirk. Her run comes to a sudden halt when Sun lands in front of her and Blake is behind her. She pulls out her weapon and turns it into whip mode.
Sun: Give it up! I'm not above hitting a girl, you—WHOA! *Dodges a whip strike*
The spy with her fast attacks tried to strike Sun multiple times while Blake gets the opportunity to kick the scroll out of her hands which the spy gasped. She grabs it once again but is tackled by Sun.
Sun: Grab the Scroll! Seems someone thinks it's important!
Spy: Get off!
The spy headbutts Sun but he uses his semblance to create four clones of himself to trap her once again while Blake grabs the scroll. She looked back at the spy and noticed her cracked mask from the headbutt. Sun, drained from the chase and fighting, loses his semblance which makes his clone disappear which frees the spy who wastes no time in going after Blake.
Sun: Blake, watch out!
Blake turned around and eyes widened as the spy was about to strike her until a familiar box surrounds the spy. Her weapon instead of slashing Blake who was just in front of her seconds ago, slashed a wooden door which had no damage to it. The spy panicked as she looked around what looked like a futuristic room and noticed the controls in the center of this obstacle and right next to it was a young man. The same one she saw with the Belladonnas, The Doctor.
The Doctor: You do realize running won't do much if I could just pinpoint your location.
The spy was about to attack the Doctor until she was knocked from behind by Blake as she and Sun entered the TARDIS to the amazement of Sun from entering for the first time.
Sun: HOOOLLYYY! IT'S...IT'S BIGGER ON THE INSIDE!
The Doctor: Yes it is Sun. *pulls lever* I'd say let's take her in for an interrogation back at your place Blake. If anything, it's not safe out here right now.
Blake only nodded while both the time lord and cat Faunus avoided looking at each other. She looked down at the spy and saw her mask was finally off which revealed a face she hadn't seen in a while.
Blake: *eyes widened* Ilia?!
Sun: Wait, you know her?! But she doesn't even look like a Faunus?
Blake could only stare in disbelief as to why the spy was. It wouldn't be long until the TARDIS landed outside of the Belladonna's household as the trio walked out with Blake holding a knocked-out Ilia. Ghira and Kali bring them inside to Ghira's office but before so, The Doctor looked around knowing he is being watched.
Sun: Yo Doc! You coming in or what?
The Doctor walked inside as two shadows approached the household with low growls. Ghira and Kali looked in shock to see Blake's friend being the spy which began to draw concern of the White Fang around.
Kali: W-Why would she be the spy? What was she intending to do?
Sun: Well, she is part of the White Fang and they want nothing more than trouble.
Blake: She also was carrying a scroll with her and held it close as if she was hiding something important. HEY!
The Doctor: *grabs it* Let's find out. *Uses my sonic screwdriver*
Using his sonic screwdriver, the scroll began to release a lot of hidden information from Ilia's scroll as the others waited. They heard a knock on the door which startled everyone. Ghira was about to head to it until Sun held him back.
Sun: Don't do it sir! Considering what just happened, they could be going after any of you. I'll go check. *Walks to the door*
The Doctor: *eyes widened* SUN DON'T!
Sun was about to respond to the Doctor until the doors broke which sent him flying back to the others. They all watched as Brother Fennec and Corsac of the White Fang emerged which enraged Ghira.
Ghira: What the hell are you doing?! This is trespassing MY HOUSE! And we have agreed to cease more discussion!
Blake: We found ONE of your spies with us here. Mind telling us what Adam is planning?
Corsac: Hmm. It would seem Brother Adam refused to join and sent one of his little treats to find them.
Fennec: Enough time has passed Brother Corsac. These people should be enough for us.
The Doctor: Everyone stand back!
The Doctor goes in between the Belladonnas and the White Fang brothers as he held his sonic screwdriver towards them while handling the scroll to Kali. Ilia slowly wakes up and notices what is going on.
Ilia: Fennec? Corsac? *grunts* Untie me and let's get out here!
Fennec: Now why would we do that?
Corsac: We don't want any witnesses to escape. No evidence. No way of people to know what'll happen tonight.
Ilia: W-What...
The Doctor: Recently, Menagerie had a very terrible storm. A storm that lasted days with minimum damage but lots of trouble. A ship crashed here during the storm, and no one here even noticed it. So, what's one thing an alien would do if a ship crashed in an unknown area full of people? They hid themselves in plain sight.
Fennec: Hmm. You are quite the expert on this young man. Tell me, who exactly are you to know such kind of things?
The Doctor: I won't reveal it until each of you remove your disguise. You think I didn't notice we were being watched by you two as well. I hate to inform the news to all of you, but these two brothers are dead.
Sun: What? Y-You're losing me Doc.
The Doctor: These two brothers were killed in the dark...and eaten up. These creatures skinned them and have used their skins as a disguise. You gained knowledge from what was occurring and took advantage in hoping you could bring Adam Taurus as well. But you were disappointed he sent in a spy to watch us.
Everyone felt cold and the need to throw up hearing what the Doctor was saying. Blake felt the coldest knowing what kind of aliens were out there, especially those coming from the crack of the universe. The brothers looked at each other in a smirk, placed their hands on their heads, and began to unzip from their disguises, shocking everyone but The Doctor. A bright light was flashing out of the zipper as something much scarier, uglier was being released.
Sun: What is that...
Soon, the skins of real men were on the floor like Halloween costumes and out came two green, bulk like alien creatures with sharp claws, long neck with short head, black eyes, and sharp teeth.
The Doctor: Just as I thought, Raxacoricofallapatorian. Read quite a bit about this species. Tell me, what class of your species are you.
Fennec: We are the Slitheen.
The Doctor: Well, you just made it easier for these humans to pronounce it. Give me your full name and the reason you are here before I blast any of you with my sonic screwdriver.
Fennec: Oltorf Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day-Slitheen
Corsac: Djokovic Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day-Slitheen. We were not expecting to crash land on a forsaken rock like this place. We were in a fleet heading towards when a sudden crack in the stars opened and sent two ships including ours through it. Next thing you know, we crashed here. And who exactly are you to know so much of us? You certainly aren't him because he died like the others.
The Doctor: Well, bad news. I am one of them. You have very good hearing, don't you? Don't my two hearts ring a bell.
The Slitheen moved a bit back startled by this sudden statement given by the Doctor. They looked at each other with disbelief.
Fennec: Impossible! No time lords survived the Last Great Time War.
The Doctor: Well, here I am, in person and alive. I escaped the Time War.
Sun: What happened...in the Time War?
Fennec: The most well-known and biggest war the universe has ever known. A battle between two supreme races: The Daleks and the Time Lords. None of us participated but we heard. The war for supremacy and yet...it was the war that wiped out both races. Daleks are no more and so are the Time Lords. No one won and we assumed all were dead...until now.
Everyone was left gutted knowing the man who left an impact in remnant, the man right in front of them, is the very last of his race. Blake looked down knowing how painful it still is for the Doctor and how alone he is in this universe. The Doctor took a deep breath and stood his ground. It always hurt him, but it wouldn't bring him down any longer. He did not know if he was truly the last time lord, but he is the one who stands tall.
The Doctor: One man ended the war. That is why the Daleks lost and so did the Time Lords. That one man did not want this to continue or for one to be victorious, so he ended it. I saw him and he saved me. He died as well in the Time War, but I continued his doing, and I am making it my own now. I am the Doctor. And if there is a reason why I am here standing between you and them. Why planets already know of me, it's because I am making sure none will fall like Gallifrey did.
Corsac: Well now there's a change of plan. We now know we will be the ones who KILL the last time lord in existence.
The Doctor: There's one other thing you should know very well and unfortunately the rest of your family won't know until it happens. The Daleks. They are alive.
Slitheen moved back in fear now hearing that the deadliest alien race had survived the time war as well which meant their species are in peril in the other universe. Both roared in anger and grew out their claws.
The Doctor: Everyone...RUN!
Everyone makes a run for it and scatters as the Slitheen brothers begin their chase around the house and destroying things in their way. Ilia hid beneath a table and tried to break the ropes holding her hands together. One of the Slitheen was already chasing Blake and the Doctor. The other was going after Sun and Blake's parents.
Blake: I thought you said you were going to blast them with your screwdriver.
The Doctor: Yeah, no. That was only a diversion to threaten them, but it didn't last long.
As they went downstairs, the Slitheen went on all fours which made it closer to catching the duo. Blake used her weapon to shoot the Slitheen which made him lose balance and crash through a wall. They kept running until Blake remembered someone.
Blake: *stops and looks back* Ilia. I have to go back and get her out.
The Doctor: Nope. Not happening. We release her, she'll try to escape!
Blake: That's not true! I know her and she would at least listen to me.
The duo continued running to a different section of the house but are soon confronted with Corsac Slitheen. Blake pulls out her weapon as the Slitheen gives a slight chuckle in return.
Corsac: Tell me Faunus, do you really think your weapon could withstand us?
Blake: Not unless I find your weak spot.
The Doctor: They have thick skin which is for their bulk bodies.
Blake: You're not helping! *Shoots the Slitheen*
The bullets were nothing for the Slitheen as he continued to laugh. Blake then charged towards the Slitheen as she dodged big strikes by the cretaure and uses Gambol Shroud as a rope around the Slitheen neck, pulling it back as the creature gags from choking. He managed to grab her and launched her hard to the ground as the Doctor helped her out.
The Doctor: This is going to take a while.
On the other side of the household, Fennec Slitheen crashed through still chasing Sun, Ghira, and Kali until they reached a spare room where Ghira and Blake would sometimes practice their combat as Ghira and Sun both had an idea and looked at each other.
Ghira: Kali! Get yourself a hiding spot while we handle this one.
Fennec: Oh? Fighting, are we now?
Sun created 3 clones of himself while Ghira took off his coat and let out his own claws from his hands. The Slitheen could only give a chuckle as this would be fun for him. Sun charges with his clones to go around the Slitheen as Ghira lunges at it and punches the creature which impressed him.
Ghira: Hard skin but nothing too amusing. *smirks*
Fennec: Hmm. Not bad. *Charges at them*
Sheer strength and fast strikes are what gives the Slitheen a slight advantage as both men never faced anything like this before. Ghira didn't mind it much as he returned a few jabs and strikes to the Slitheen. Fennec had enough, grabs Ghira, and slams him to the wall with one arm then launches him to Sun which sends both men crashing.
Fennec: You both fight well. But you are very weak. *sniffs* I sense the wife is nearby.
Kali hid behind a bookshelf until she could figure out an idea how to help but time was running out. Ghira noticed and made full speed as he tackled the Slitheen to the ground, beating the creature down. Sun used his staff and turned it into a shotgun trying to go for the legs. Bullets were not effective, so Sun reverted to nun chucks and jumped around the neck of the Slitheen. Meanwhile, Blake and the Doctor continued their fight with Corsac Slitheen as he keeps lunging his claws at them for which they dodge.
Corsac: You can't keep dodging forever. All it takes is one slash and you're done. I'll make sure to do it twice to you TIME LORD! *roars*
The Doctor moved aside and lunged a bookshelf on top of the Slitheen which gave time for the Doctor to think of a next plan. Blake however, saw an opening to go rescue Ilia. She stopped for a moment to think it through whether to help the Doctor or save Ilia. She made a run for it and the Doctor noticed.
The Doctor: Blake! *grunts* She's gonna get her-GAH!
The Slitheen got up and instantly slammed the Doctor onto the wall and leading him to drop his Sonic Screwdriver on the ground. The Slitheen laughed as the time lord was trapped painfully and nothing to use for escape.
Corsac: *laughs* A Slitheen killing the last existing time lord in the face of the universe. I will enjoy this, nice and slow.
The Slitheen laughed once again as he began to slowly crush the Doctor which was becoming painful as The Doctor let out a painful scream. Blake runs to her father's office and notices Ilia under the desk.
Blake: I'm going to cut you free and you better NOT do anything before I hurt her. My friends and family need help right now!
Ilia looked at Blake with guilt and sighed before nodding in agreement. Blake used her blade and cut the rope that held Ilia's hands together. As they both got up, Blake heard the Doctor's scream and was going to run back until she got dropkicked by Ilia on the ground.
Ilia: *looks down at her angrily* You shouldn't have come back. Here and Menagerie at all. *Jumps out the window*
Blake: NO!
And just like that, another fatal mistake by Blake led to Ilia escaping. She thought perhaps her friend was still there but instead it was only someone who remained loyal to Adam. Getting up slowly, she ran back downstairs to help the Doctor. When she did, she saw the Slitheen crushing him, but it gave her an idea. Acting as fast as she could, she wrapped Gambol Shroud around the creature's arm and through the door of her father's office.
Blake: HEY UGLY! You said you got sheer strength? How about something to withhold Sheer PRESSURE!
Blake aggressively yanks the door which tightens the rope and cuts off the Slitheen arm, dropping the Doctor as well and the creature screaming in pain as green blood squirted out. Recovering a bit, the Doctor grabs his screwdriver and shoots a small shockwave that sends the Slitheen crashing back into the wall knocking itself out. The Doctor continued to catch his breath until he looked over at Blake and noticed the guilty look.
The Doctor: She's gone, isn't she?
Back in the combat room, Ghira and Sun continued to fight the remaining Slitheen as it became an even fight. Ghira was able to leave a good mark on Fennec's chest after his claws were able to go through the thick skin of the creature which created a weak spot.
Ghira: We need to keep going for his chest, the bigger the opening, the faster we can kill it!
Sun created his clones once again as they all jumped towards the creature as it tried to find the real Sun, but Ghira tackled them to the ground and punctured its claws once again onto the Slitheen which caused it to roar. He grabbed Ghira by the head and slammed him through the floor before giving him a massive punch knocking him out cold.
Kali: GHIRA!
Blake: DAD!
Fennec drops Sun to the ground as he turns around to see Blake and the Doctor. They somehow overcame his brother, which he did not like at all. He roared once again from pain and fury as they both noticed the wound on his chest.
Blake: His chest.
The Doctor: One or two bullets can kill him.
Fennec: You think you'll win it this easily? *Grabs Ghira* I certainly don't think so. Here is what we'll do, you'll let me escape and your father will live. Try to fight or kill me and I'll chomp him up right in front of you.
Blake shook as she didn't know what to do. She made the mistake of releasing Ilia and now she did not want to commit another mistake of potentially losing her father. She dropped Gambol Shroud as the Doctor dropped his Sonic Screwdriver.
The Doctor: You got your request Fennec. Now let him go and leave. Just one thing, don't ever come back.
Fennec laughed at the warning given by the Doctor and drops Ghira on the ground for Blake to check up on him. The Slitheen and Time Lord looked right into each other's eyes.
Fennec: You may not be him, but you certainly are like him Doctor. You have a code of not killing and that is what makes you weak. You may have defeated my brother, but we will still win this because soon, we will bring more of us to invade this planet.
The Doctor: No. Because as long as I'm here or these people aren't afraid to fight you, you'll lose.
Fennec laughed and was making his leave until Sun jumped on the creature again and changed his staff into a shotgun, trying to aim it for the Slitheen's chest.
The Doctor: SUN! GET DOWN FROM THERE!
Sun: NOT. UNTIL. HE'S. DEAD!
Fennec: You pathetic creatures! *Sways Sun's shotgun and grabs him*
Sun's eyes widened as well as The Doctor and Blake when they witnessed the Slitheen punctured its three claws onto Sun's chest and slash him deeply. A fire shot came out of nowhere as well as the Doctor saw Kali wielding Sun's shotgun and noticed the bullet hit the creature's chest. Kali took another shot and once again into the Slitheen's chest causing it to bleed massively. The Slitheen falls back onto the ground dead and drops Sun as well onto the ground, unconscious and bleeding from the slash.
Blake: SUN! SUN! No, no, no, not again, please! Hold on, Sun, just hold on! *Tears up*
The Doctor took off his jacket and wrapped it around Sun's wounds to stop the bleeding as much as he could while instructing Kali to find the medical kit fast. Blake saw blood in her hands from Sun and looked over to see her unconscious father and the dead Slitheen while the Doctor tried calling out to her but her mind went clouded and everything went to black.
The Doctor: BLAKE!
Out of Oniyuri and onto the next day of walking, Team RNJR continued to their destination, but they couldn't help but feel something was off. As if they weren't alone at all but they chose to ignore it for the time being. It wouldn't be long before Ren stopped to sense that feeling again and the other three looked around in concern. Someone was running very fast and leaped over everyone while aiming right at Ruby. She dodges fast and uses Crescent Rose to block a few strikes from his weapons and moves back once RNJ gets involved with their weapons ready. It was Tyrian Callows who attacked them and looked at them with a smirk
Jaune: We're not looking for a fight!
Ren: Who are you?
Tyrian: *looks at Ren* Who I am matters not to you. *Looks at Nora* Or you. Or- *looks at Jaune* Well... you do interest me.
Jaune: Grrr. Are you one working with Cinder?
Tyrian: Spoilers. *Laughs and looks at Ruby* No, I only matter to you!
Ruby: Me?
Tyrian: *Laughs more* BAHAHAHAA! You, you haven't the slightest clue, do you? Oh, how exciting this must be.
Ruby: What do you want?
Tyrian: Ooooooooh, the rose has thorns! My little flower, I'm here to whisk you away with me!
Nora: Well, what if she doesn't want to go with you?
Tyrian: *stops and smirks* Well, I'll take her.
Ruby: M-Me?
Jaune: *gets in front of Ruby* We're not going to let you do that.
Ren and Nora followed as the three shielded Ruby while Tyrian took a deep breath and grinned at the group.
Tyrian: Good. *Lunges at Jaune*
Ren: JAUNE!
Ruby: WATCH OUT!
Ren uses his weapon and shoots Jaune's shield sending the blast to hit Tyrian, but he dodges it then cartwheels onto Jaune's shield, using his claw blades to spin in the air against it. Ruby tries to fight Tyrian, only for him to kick her off to the side. She gets back up by using Crescent Rose while Jaune swings his sword at Tyrian multiple times, and he simply dodges in return until he kicks him away.
Ruby: He's too fast!
Nora: Not on my watch!
He noticed Nora and made a run for it as she did. With a little bit of assistance from Ruby, Nora gets charged with lightning Dust and aims fire. Tyrian just let it pass by his left shoulder before returning the lightning back to Nora which knocked her down. The others regroup as Tyrian gives a maniacal laugh.
Nora: *charges up* Now he's pissing me off!
Nora gets more charged up into supercharged with electricity and goes for another strike for Tyrian while he remained there awaiting it. Nora makes the hit as everyone takes cover from the impact. They all looked over to where Tyrian was struck and as the smoke cleared out, he was still there as he kicked Nora back. He blocked the strike with his scorpion tail.
Tyrian: Surprise.
Ren: He's... a Faunus.
Ruby: What is this about? The White Fang? Roman Torchwick?
Tyrian: Plastic soldiers and pawns. My heart and body belong only to our goddess!
Ruby: Cinder...
Tyrian: Hmph, only in her wildest dreams.
He lunges towards Ruby and uses his tail to strike Crescent Rose down, but she holds on to it with a tight grip. He keeps striking and she keeps blocking, Ruby needed an opening to strike him back as time was running out before she gets tired out or cause a slip. Tyrian kicks her back as Ren now goes after him, but Tyrian sped past him as he preps his tail for the final blow on Ruby.
Ren: NOOO!
The tail struck right at Ruby, but it didn't hit her. Instead, it hit a large blade as Tyrian gave out at worried chuckle looking at who it was. Ruby looked up slowly to see a familiar face, one that made her relief he was here just in time: Her Uncle Qrow.
Ruby: Uncle Qrow...
Qrow: *smiles* Hey.
