Upon getting off the train, no surprise, there were already a bunch of reporters waiting for him. They all surrounded him with cameras and microphones. "Woah woah woah, that's enough, back off" said Laurie. She was trying her best to get the reporters away from Junior. Sam then whispered in Junior's year. "Quick, slip out of the crowd while nobody is looking." Junior did just that, and made it to the forest.
Junior made it safely onto the school grounds without too much trouble. He had actually gotten there before anyone on the train. It wasn't long before the rest of the students came in. "I highly doubt i'll ever be able to set foot outside these grounds during my spare time" said Junior. "Don't worry, I can escort you where you need to go" said Laurie. "Don't you have your own work to do as groundskeeper?" asked Junior. "I'm sure I can fit you into my schedule" said Laurie. She and Sam then began giving the freshmen a tour of the school. Junior found it hard to believe that he was one of those kids a year ago.
Before long, the entire school was in the cafeteria having dinner. Junior was currently sitting with his classmates. "How the heck did you and Miles pull off that trick at Daytona?" asked Maple. "Exactly, it completely threw all logic out the window" said Maslynn. "A magician never reveals his secrets" said Junior. "Considering how you can see things that NASCAR can't, you should be an official" said Mason. "Actually, my ambition in life is to own my own car company" said Junior. "I thought your ambition in life was to be a professional magician" said Lucas. "I don't mean to sound cocky or anything, but i'm pretty sure I already proved that i'm a professional" said Junior.
Dinner was eventually over, and Junior was ready to go to bed. Before walking through the door that led to the boy's dormitory, Laurie put a hand on his shoulder. "You know, ever since you and Miles starting going out, i've kinda been feeling like a third wheel" said Laurie. "Maybe this weekend you can hang out at my place, and I can teach you how to make vegan meat that tastes better than the real thing." "Okay, I think we can do that" said Junior. "Night" said Laurie. "Good night" said Junior.
Junior then walked down the the stairs, and entered the door that had the word sophomore on it. The sophomore dorm didn't look any different from the freshman dorm he slept in last year. As he walked into the door that had his name on it, he sat down on his bed, lost in thought. While he and Laurie were friends, they rarely ever hung out with it being just the two of them. Maybe this weekend he could get to know her a little better.
Authors note: Usually when a celebrity is still in school, the school grounds are off limits to the press. Now if the celebrity is a college athlete, that might be a different story.
While my goal in life is to have a job working for NASCAR, i'm not sure what it's going to be. But if that job is triggering the caution lights via pushing the button, i'm pushing that button as soon as I see rain. I'm not going to be the cause of half the field being taken out.
Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
