"School will finish up for the summer in a couple of days." Giles said. "I should have a good list of ways of testing the possible effects the coach's formula had on you together by then, Xander. In the meantime, my research has found no concerns over moving or destroying the Acathla statue. Aside from the fact that it's probably very heavy."
"I can get the guys from Dingoes Ate My Baby to help Xander and me move it into my van and from there into the crusher at the junkyard." Oz offered.
"Wow, Oz can talk." Cordelia snarked, grinning good naturedly at him.
"Werewolf."
"That's right, the full moon is in two days." Xander said. "Oz will be providing most of the heavy lifting anyway since the wolf makes him stronger during the full moon phase. The girls can supervise and make sure we're not tripping over each other's feet."
"Oh and I had a thought." Cordelia said. "Kendra died. What's happened to her body?"
"Her Watcher, Sam Zabuto, has made arrangements for it to be shipped to Jamaica." Giles said. "He'll arrange for a burial."
"She was our friend, Giles." Xander said. "I get that we can't bury her ourselves, but if she hasn't been sent back yet, can we say goodbye?"
"I'll find out where her body is being held until it's sent back. I should be able to arrange a few minutes for you each to see her and say your goodbyes."
"She died trying to protect us." Cordelia said softly. "Like Buffy did in the Master's lair. I'm willing to cover the cost of a memorial stone."
"We can put it next to the one Jesse's parents put up for him." Xander said, taking her hand in his. "It's a good thought." He complemented her.
"Indeed, most fitting." Giles agreed.
"Willow, I do know of a way you can help with the Slaying." Xander offered. "Because let's face it, whether Buffy's here or not, vampires are not going to stop coming to Sunnydale. Which means we need to step up and figure out ways to take care of ourselves and others. And you Willow, you know alot about chemistry. And we can't get our hands on guns and ammo because of our ages."
"Guns don't work on vampires anyway, Xander." Giles said.
"Bull crap, Giles. You use enough bullets and you can destroy a head or heart. Beyond that there's a number of different sizes of bullets and some are large enough to take a head off pretty much completely. And then there's incendiary rounds which were invented about a century ago. They're an example of chemistry. They're coated in phosphorus and friction from the air is all that's needed to ignite them. Depending on the caliber, they can even turn a shotgun into a flamethrower. And shotguns can be packed with wood pellets. The Watchers Council is so out of touch with reality that apparently they can't even be bothered to watch shows about vampires. Because I guarantee humans are always coming up with new ways of destroying them."
"Seriously?" Giles asked, incredulous. He'd never considered such things before.
"Seriously, Giles." Xander confirmed. "But like I said, we're too young to buy, own or publicly use any of it. And in some states incendiary rounds are illegal anyway. But that doesn't mean we can't come up with other ways of fighting. Which is where Willow and her knowledge of chemistry comes in. We are legally allowed to own super soakers. They're just toys after all. Water is cheap and easy to come by. Getting it blessed, that's not quite so easy. It's why we don't have much holy water on hand. Giles just orders it once in a while. But if Willow can find chemicals that can be used in super soakers that will cause anything from temporary blindness to pain in vampires, or both, then we can use them to distract the vampires long enough to dust them more conventionally. Working as a team, we can be very effective."
"You'd have to work as a team." Giles said. "Vampires can handle alot of pain. You wouldn't have alot of time between injuring them and dusting them. But as a plan it presents an intriguing possibility. Very well, Willow if you're interested in trying, go ahead."
"I am. Thanks, Xander. It is a way I can help."
"I had another thought." Cordelia said. "The Watchers Council never bothered to tell you Kendra existed. Have they informed you of the new Slayer that was Called when she died?"
"No, they haven't. I have contacts within the Council. I'll confirm it. I doubt they'll transfer her here, since I haven't informed them Buffy isn't currently here. At some point I probably will have to, but I'm hoping we find her quickly enough that it's not an issue."
"And leaving her wherever she currently is, means she can be effective there, while we're being effective here." Xander added. "There are only two Slayers currently, after all. Never understood that. An army of Slayers could wipe out the demon and vampire populations. Unless having more then one damages what makes a Slayer in the first place. Which is probably why the Watchers Council never got the bright idea to kill and revive Slayers to activate massive numbers of Potentials. They must know that's a Bad Idea."
