"Two questions" Remus began in a patronizing voice" how many days have we been at school? "
"2... " I replied slowly, wondering where he was going with this.
" And how many detentions have u lot got us already?"
I chuckled softly under my breath, leave it to Remus to be the fatherly figure.
"Uhhh... None? " Peter asked hopefully.
"15" Remus replied accusingly, "that's 3 for each of us. We've only been at school for2 days! "
"Sorry dad... " we all replied harmoniously. It was a running joke with the marauders to call our friend, Remus Lupin, dad. After all he was clearly the parental figure in the group.
And there you have it, only 48 hours into our fourth year and we had ourselves 3 detentions each. I can't say I am at all looking forward to detentions. At all. However it had been so worth it. Pranking students is fun and all but pranking teachers... now that is something else. And of course the marauders being the marauders, what did we go and do? We pranked the teachers. And were did that land us? Detention. Three! I mean it wasn't even that bad, all we did was putting laughing gas in the staff room. It probably didn't help that the first teacher to walk in just happened to be the headmaster, Armando Dippet, and therefore got the worst case of laughing fits. But even so, it wasn't that bad. I mean we've done worse. Like a lot worse.

"Miss Lizere!" The voice of our transfiguration teacher rung into my ears arising me from my sleep," If you find your intelligence so high above the rest of the year to not see the need to stay awake in my class why don't you answer the question on the board for us"
Still only half awake I looked at Sirius who sat next to me and gave him a pleading look. He shrugged and looked to his left to look at James who shrugged again. Where was Remus when you needed him?
Sighing I looked towards the front of the classrom trying to avoid our teachers gaze.
"I don't know sir" I said quietly.
"As I expected" he sighed, " See me after class please Clara. "
"Ok sir, sorry sir"
I groaned internally, moony was gonna kill me. Another detention already, it was only the first lesson of the day! Maybe he'll be nice and not give me a detention? What am I saying? I was getting a detention no way around that. Great. Just great.
