While Weiss Is Confronting Her Inner Demons

BGM: Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story plus Bowser Jr's Journey)

Nyx sat on her chair with her Yoshi snuggled up next to her as she was reading a book, while in the middle of the room was Xena meditating with items slowly swirling around her. Items included the TV remote, paper plates, cups, a few books, magazines, their Quagsire and Clodsire, not that the Pokemon were complaining as they simply vibed through the meditation without a care in the world.

"Mmmm…" Nyx stretched, putting a bookmark in her book. "Well, that's enough reading for now." She said as she put the book on the table. "It's kinda quiet without everyone here."

"Indeed." Xena said through her meditation.

Nyx smiled at Xena. "A lot roomier in here, no?"

"Yeah. Feels nice to meditate in a different room that's not ours." She chuckled.

"Still… I feel like we ought to do something while the others are out helping Weiss." Nyx said. "You wanna do something?"

"We're up for anything." Xena said, slowly descending and putting everything back while petting Screamy and Swampy.

Nyx got up, stretching. "So, what do you-"

Knock knock knock

"Hmm?" Nyx wondered as Xena walked over to the door and opened it up, revealing Peach herself.

"Oh! Hey Peach." Xena smiled.

"Hi." Peach waved. "I would have knocked earlier, but I was too busy wondering who replaced your home without me knowing about it."

Nyx giggled sheepishly. "Sorry, princess. It got a bit too crowded with everyone living here or crashing here so I thought we'd expand a little bit."

"That's understandable." Peach giggled. "Futaba?"

Both girls nodded.

"I thought so." Peach smiled. "Mind if we come in?"

"We?" Xena wondered as Myra peeked her head from behind Peach.

"Heya~!" Myra waved.

"Myra!" Nyx smiled warmly as the ladies walked in, with Myra hugging Xena on her way in and then happily hugged Nyx, the latter wrapping her arms around her gladly. "How've you been lately?"

Myra smiled. "I've been feeling a lot better lately, especially serving as the Princess's court mage. I feel right at home, practicing my magic. Although… it feels a bit strange to be "knighted" by umbrella but… apparently she did the same with the Ashen Wolves."

Peach giggled. "Swords aren't my cup of tea, that's typically Daisy's department."

"Honestly, knowing her, she'd be knighting someone with her fists." Nyx snickered.

Peach couldn't help but snicker with her. "I wouldn't put it past her."

"So, what brings you here, your highness? I imagine this is more than just a friendly visit." Nyx said while Myra wandered over and started to pet Nyx's Yoshi.

"Well… it's a bit embarrassing to say but… I'm sure you're aware of Moonview City, yes?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Well, it turns out that it's a great source of income for the Kingdom, especially since Moonview is the place where they make and distribute vehicles, movies, special types of clothing, not to mention it's a great fishing spot at Moonview Lake. Sure, Toad Harbor provides the fishing market but there are certain fish at Moonview Lake that are transported all over the Kingdom that Toad Harbor doesn't have. It's got a little bit of everything."

"We've heard it's under new leadership… Kazuya." Xena said.

"Indeed. Ever since he took over, he's been ignoring my emails and to top it off, he cut off all communication from outside of the city. I've tried to be patient but I'm nearing my limit with the man. I could go over there myself, but considering what I've heard he's done to everyone in their first meeting with him, not to mention how he made certain people upset with him…"

"Byleth comes to mind." Nyx said. "Hell, dude kept insulting Ruby to the point where Sephiroth and Akuma had to step in to defend her. He brings out the worst in everyone."

"Indeed. I do not remember if I ever interacted with the man when my team and I came in to help out. Honestly, I think I was too focused on trying to save Ruby from her dark counterpart. But being around him made me feel uneasy…"

"I don't blame you. He's such a pompous asshole that he puts other pompous assholes to shame." Nyx shook her head.

"...He's that bad?" Myra asked. "Yikes."

"As I've said, I've wanted to go over there myself but I feel as if it'd be a fool's errand… and, well, considering how he tends to… throw people off of high places…"

"Don't you have floating abilities?" Xena asked.

"Yes, but I'm worried that he may knock me out first." Peach admitted. "Which is why I figured I'd come to ask you and your team for help… although the house feels empty."

"That's because Iris, Rantaro and Jade went off to help Weiss with Eggman."

"Oh! Is he up to no good again? That man, I swear…" Peach shook her head. "Regardless, I personally believe you four will handle it if you go in my stead and see what Kazuya is up to."

"Four? Oh, that's why Myra's here." Xena said.

"Indeed. She feels most comfortable around you, especially when it concerns you, Nyx." Peach said.

Nyx smiled. "She told me that after our pizza party was over, as a matter of fact."

"You guys make me feel the most comfortable to be around. Well, you and the Phantom Thieves. Though… for some reason, I feel cozy around you in particular. I don't know why, to be honest."

"Heh, guess I'm just that type of woman."

"Probably!" Myra giggled with Nyx.

Myra smiled warmly. "I still don't know why, but, hey, I'm cool with it."

Peach giggled. "You two just have a good connection." She said. "Plus, she feels safe around you."

"Aw, come on, princess. I feel safe around JINXY as a whole."

"That's true." Peach softly giggled. "So, as I said, will you go to Moonview City in my stead? I don't normally request for help outside of being kidnapped, but… I'm at the end of my rope with Kazuya."

Nyx nodded. "We'll see what the man is up to."

"Thank you." Peach smiled. "If he's too much trouble, call me and I'll send the Ashen Wolves as back up. Maybe I'll send the Espinas too." She winked as she walked off.

"Yo yo?" Yoshi offered as Nyx hopped on his saddle.

"I'm going to be honest… I'm still not used to black colored Yoshis. I don't think they were a thing back in my time." Myra admitted.

"They're pretty rare present day." Xena said. "Heck, white colored Yoshis are extremely rare too."

"Hmmm… maybe I was just unlucky every time I visited the island." Myra shrugged as they walked out together, Nyx locking the door behind her as they headed off to a bus stop where a Wiggler Bus pulled up.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

"Moonview City." Nyx requested.

"You got it." He nodded as they drove off.

Later…

The Wiggler Bus stopped by the bridge. "This is as far as I can take you."

"Huh?" Nyx looked out front. "But the city is just over the bridge."

"I know, but for some reason, the new leader doesn't allow traffic to go inside…"

"That would explain the detour around the mountain…" Xena mumbled as the four hopped off as Nyx patted the driver on the shoulder.

"We'll see what we can do about it."

"Good luck. Whoever's running the joint is a hardass." He said as Nyx hopped off as the Wiggler Bus turned around and drove off.

"Tourists can't go inside? What the hell is all that about?" Xena wondered.

"Tell me about it." Nyx mumbled while Myra looked at the city in awe.

"And to think this was just "Moonview Mountain" back then." Myra said. "A place where everyone can camp out and go swimming at Moonview Lake. Now it's-... how the hell did they manage to build a city on a mountain? I'm genuinely impressed and… a bit sad, honestly. It was a gorgeous view of the lake."

She turned her head to see the lake from the distance. "I mean, it's still a great view but still…"

"Come on, let's go." Nyx said as they started to walk.

"Um… guys?" Xena spoke up as the girls turned their heads to see what Xena was looking at… where they would see Akuma pacing around near some trees as he was grumbling.

"What the hell is Akuma doing here?" Nyx wondered. "...Hey, Akuma! What the heck are you doing here?"

Akuma turned his head to the girls. "I remember you from that Grimm world." He said and turned to Myra. "Who is she? I do not recognize her."

"I'm Myra Shadowheart, a woman out of my time." Myra said as Akuma raised an eyebrow.

"Basically, she was betrayed by a so-called friend four hundred years ago and froze herself in a cryogenic chamber and Myra froze herself in time until someone awakened her so-called friend. Unfortunately, Myra was weakened in combat and had to flee." Nyx explained.

"Is that right? …My condolences." Akuma nodded.

"So, about my question?" Nyx mentioned.

Akuma turned his attention back to the city. "Kazuya." He folded his arms. "At first glance, it looks nothing of the sort, yet he managed to somehow make a force field to where only I cannot enter. No matter what I throw at it, it repairs itself…"

"He did that? That's impress-" Akuma gave Xena a sharp glare. "-Really really shitty of Kazuya."

"Indeed."

"Kazuya was with us when we were storming the Death Egg. Where were you then? In fact, he was having a hard time against Sonic." Nyx pointed out.

"Hmph."

Flashback!

Akuma walked through the Kingdom, straight to where Kazuya was.

However, robots made in his image landed on the ground in front of him to surround him… and more just kept coming.

"Hmph. An endless supply of robots in my image? You disgust me."

Akuma proceeded to fight them off, throwing them around and punching through them. By the time he was done, he looked up to see the Death Egg falling through the sky. Next thing he saw was Kazuya flying through the sky as Akuma turned around and followed him.

End Flashback

Nyx sweatdropped. "An endless supply of Akuma bots and they all picked a fight with you."

"They were no match." Akuma said confidently.

"Riiiight… well, keep working on that barrier. We'll just go on in to see what Kazuya's up to."

"Hmph. Do not let down your guard around Kazuya."

"We won't." Nyx said as they walked across the bridge.

"What's with him?" Myra wondered.

"That'd be Akuma. Apparently he and Kazuya have had a history together when the former was requested to take down Kazuya, if I'm remembering right."

"Huh… that makes sense. Also, I sensed extreme darkness from the man. It… honestly made my blood run cold."

"Akuma's… interesting. From what we can understand, he just wants a good fight." Xena said.

"And for a really insane reason." Nyx added. "He wants his opponent to tap into their full potential, hence why he has it out for Ryu as well… and I think he wants another crack at Yang. You see, the real reason is because-"

Meanwhile, inside Moonview City…

BGM: Castelia City (Pokemon Black/White)

Kazuya walked through the streets while munching on an ice cream cone. He glanced over to see a homeless man sitting against a wall.

"Mr. Mishima…" The man greeted.

Kazuya paid no attention to him as he kept walking… but stopped himself as he turned to see what the man was wearing.

"Ah, you've finally paid attention to me." He said. "Listen, I was wondering if you could help me out. Help me find a job in this town so I can get back on my feet?"

Kazuya said nothing, tossing his ice cream cone in the air and proceeded to beat the homeless man up before he took his sneakers, then grabbed the ice cream cone on its descent.

"You can start getting a job by getting better sneakers, you bum." He said.

"Oooogh… duly noted…"

Kazuya continued to wander around the city, finishing his ice cream as he put the sneakers away in a briefcase tied to his hip.

"Seems highly unusual to put sneakers in a briefcase."

Kazuya turned his head to see Nyx, Xena and Myra. "Hmph. I remember you two. Who's the plus one?"

"A friend of ours." Nyx said, while Myra was still trying to process what she had heard.

"Satsui no Hado… what the heck…" She mumbled under her breath.

"Seems like she has something on her mind." Kazuya said. "Regardless… what do you three want."

"Oh, ya know, Princess Peach was growing concerned about you cutting off communication with the rest of the kingdom, so she sent us to-"

Kazuya started to laugh. "The Princess grew concerned so she sent her lap dogs to sniff me out? Spineless. If she wanted to have a meeting with me, she would have come here herself. She's a coward."

Myra snapped out of her daze. "Hey!" She glared, angrily summoning her staff and pointing it at Kazuya, getting closer as the staff poked his chest. "Don't you ever talk about the princess that way in my presence. I will not hesitate to shove magic into your body if you so much as disrespect the fair princess. Do I make myself clear?"

Kazuya scoffed, smirking at Myra. "This one's an attack dog. How adorable." He brushed the staff to the side. "I could easily turn your so-called staff into a backscratcher and use you as my footrest."

"You son of a-"

"Easy, easy…" Nyx said softly as Xena telekinetically pulled Myra back. "We're not here to pick a fight… though given what he said in that Grimm world earlier is highly tempting."

"So you are here on business. What exactly do you want?" Kazuya asked.

"We just want to see what you are up to." Nyx said. "Considering, as I've said, you've cut off communication, the princess wants to know what you're doing recently. You haven't responded to her emails."

"What emails? I haven't received any." Kazuya folded his arms.

"She said that-"

"I know what she said… but I have not received any. Your princess is telling white lies. Honestly, I feel like I should take over the Mushroom Kingdom to run things around here."

A shadowy aura surrounded Myra, gritting her teeth as Xena had to put a force field around Myra just in case if she lashed out. "I thank you for holding me back, Xena…" She said with a growl under her breath.

"But, if you are curious about what I have done after the mayor… stepped down, I will gladly show you around." Kazuya turned around. "Come. Try to keep up." He walked off.

"I can see why he brings out the worst in people." Myra grumbled as they walked after Kazuya.

Pit Stop #1!

"Here is where our tourism industry is at." Kazuya said as they had gotten closer to Moonview Lake via Warp Pipe.

"Oh, so tourism goes through here?" Nyx asked. "From what I've gathered, you did away with tourism."

"Nonsense. Whoever told you that is a liar. I do not want radical tourists messing up my city, so I simply redirected it to the lake."

"Explain the Wiggler Bus then." Myra said.

"Vehicles are not to be segmented in my city, so I had banned those obnoxiously long Wiggler busses."

"...What kind of city ordinance is THAT?!" Myra wondered in disbelief. "Shadow almighty, this is a dictatorship!"

"It is not." Kazuya smirked as he guided them to the lake itself with Myra stewing in her own anger while Xena and Nyx were giving him the stink eye.

"I really want to turn him into something worse than a pretzel knot." Yagami said to the girls.

I want to turn him into a magical pincushion. Myra grumbled.

"Here is where you'll find the activities." Kazuya said as they saw tourists fishing, surfing, swimming, not to mention playing corn hole or dirt biking through the woods. There was even a few hotels and a run down grocery store.

"...So you're treating them as second class citizens." Nyx said.

"Come. On to the next area." Kazuya walked off.

"He didn't even deny it." Xena said.

"Now my blood is boiling…" Nyx growled with her Yoshi growling in agreement.

Pit Stop #2!

"Here is the entertainment industry." Kazuya said. "Musical theater, arcades, movie theaters, the works."

"Mishima of the Opera?" Myra tilted her head.

"It's a really good musical. I recommend it." Kazuya said as he kept walking.

"...He did away with a classic. Why would he do that?" Nyx sighed. "He even did away with the mask!"

"Masks are for cowards who do not wish to show their true selves." Kazuya said.

"Okay, but what about masks for like, paintball or Halloween parties?"

"Paintballs to the face build character." Kazuya said.

"...What the fuck is wrong with you." Xena muttered under her breath.

"Ah yes, that's a way to lose an eye." Nyx rolled her eyes.

"Unbelievable…" Myra groaned.

"You can only find the good entertainment here in this city. If people outside want it, they can just see it from the lake."

Probably a bootleg version… Nyx thought.

"Ah, now here is where I put my heart and soul into." He said as they looked to see a stadium.

Pit Stop #3!

"A stadium? Oh, you a fan of baseball?" Xena asked as Kazuya turned his head with a smirk. "Football?"

"Strikers?" Nyx guessed.

"Tennis? Badminton?" Xena wondered.

"Swimming?" Myra guessed. "...Volleyball?"

"Hahaha. Take a look for yourself."

The ladies curiously walked in to see what it was… and were met with people sparring against each other.

"...It's a combat arena. Of course it is." Nyx facepalmed.

"You were half right about volleyball." Kazuya pointed to the right as they would see two people playing volleyball… only they were attacking the volleyball and shoving it into each other's faces to score a point.

"That's not- but- what-..." Xena rubbed her temples with a groan. "Do you NOT understand how volleyball works?!"

"Hmph. I revamped it. The old system was boring. The new one is a lot more fun."

"Concussion city, here we come…" Nyx snarked.

"This is… I have no words." Myra said.

"Come." Kazuya walked off as the ladies and Yoshi followed once more.

Pit Stop #4!

"And here is the shopping district, where you will find only the best items you can find only here."

"And yet, you're not sending them all to places like Toad Town, Mushroom City or other districts?" Nyx asked.

"It is because I am revamping things. It takes time."

"I… suppose…"

"That and they do not deserve our items until I feel they deserve it."

"Aaaand there it is."

"Like you four, you don't deserve to see any of this. Come." Kazuya walked off as the four walked after him while also giving him the stink eye.

Pit Stop #5 - Kazuya's Office

"That is what I am doing in my city." Kazuya said. "Do you have any questions?"

"Yeah. Why the hell are you such a dick?" Myra demanded.

"I can help answer that for you!" A voice said as Hades appeared. "Helloooo!"

"Who-what-where-... Who are you and WHERE did you come from?!" Myra wondered, pointing her staff at him in fright.

"Oh… right, we never told her about Hades." Nyx said.

"Hades, charming lord of the Underworld, nice to meet you!" Hades said with a bow. "And if you're wanting to know on why Kazuya is the way he is-" He pulled out a laptop. "Allow me to show you a video on why he's like this."

One Tekken lore video later…

Myra blinked, smoke coming out of her ears. "So much… info…"

"Well, that explains a few things. Doesn't excuse what you've done." Nyx glared at Kazuya. "And it doesn't excuse the fact that you're a horrible person."

"Hmph! It matters not what you say to me, huntress."

"Rrrgh…" Nyx shook her head. "Okay, the good news is, everyone seems happy to be here. The bad news is that you're a fuckin' asshole who is somehow managing to keep the city in good shape."

Kazuya said nothing, but he smirked.

"Okay… let's get out of here, guys… before I lose my patience with him."

"Tell your spineless princess I said "hello"." Kazuya said as they walked out, which earned a middle finger from Xena on their way out while Hades disappeared.

He simply let out a chuckle as he turned around and pressed a button, pulling out the sneakers from his briefcase and walked into his massive shoe closet, proceeding to put them on a rack at the far back and walked off with a laugh.

He then returned to his desk and looked through his computer, finding that he had one new email.

Urgent!

"Please, Kazuya. If you are getting my emails, I want to ask why you cut off communication from the outside world. I am only genuinely curious and wish to speak business with you!

Yours truly, Princess Toadstool

Peach"

"Hmph." Kazuya smirked as he marked the email as spam before he went to the spam folder and saw a whole wall of Peach's emails to him. He casually clicked the "Trash" button, then went to the Trash folder and proceeded to delete them all.

"What emails?" He chuckled to himself.

Back at Peach's Castle via Xena's teleportation…

"Is that so?" Peach asked once Nyx reported. "So everyone is happy there, it's just that it's run by a horrible person and tourism is just an afterthought to him?"

"Yeah, not to mention he hasn't been getting your emails."

"What?" Peach wondered. "But it always goes through… I wonder if he put them in his spam folder by accident… or it just disappeared in the void…"

"He also called you spineless and a coward for sending "lap dogs" to him." Myra said in disgust.

"Oh, let him think that." Peach waved it off. "Still, the fact that he says we "do not deserve" what Moonview City has made is highly questionable…"

"Tell me about it. I was this close to shoving an arrow up his ass." Nyx said.

"I was about to sic Yagami on him." Xena said.

Peach sighed. "He really does bring out the worst in people. I do not blame Byleth for getting all uppity with him. Still… you have my thanks. I'll send some cupcakes over to your home."

"Thank you." Nyx smiled as Peach embraced them as Nyx and Xena walked out after hugging Myra as well.

"Hmm…" Peach mused. "I wonder if I should give him a video call."

"Honestly, princess? He's not worth the time and energy." Myra said as she walked off.

"You may be right… but it is worth a shot."

Meanwhile, with Kazuya…

Kazuya approached the combat arena, and walked into a room. He looked both ways before entering in a code before a secret door opened up. He walked inside as an elevator moved its way underground until it stopped.

Kazuya walked out and turned on the lights, revealing an underground workshop with soldiers on standby, tubes having been plugged into them as power ups were being pumped into their systems.

"Fire Flowers for Pyrokinesis. Ice Flowers for Cryokinesis. Mega Mushrooms for added strength. Tanooki Leaves for wind powers. Propellor Mushrooms and Cape Feathers for flight. Rock Mushrooms for earth powers."

Kazuya smirked. "My army will be top notch in Remnant. And no one will stand in my way. Not even that pathetic witch Salem will stop me."

He folded his arms.

"Hmhmhmhmhm~ Hahahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHA-"

BGM: Peach's Email (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

Kazuya blinked, pulling out his tablet as he was getting a video call.

"Princess Peach is calling"

"...Why do I have this for my ringtone?" He wondered as he hung up on her.

With Peach…

"Did he… did he ghost me?!" Peach asked, completely appalled as her eye twitched, slowly gritting her teeth…

…Before she took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.

"Don't worry. I will try again later. He is probably in a meeting. Deep breath, Peach… deep breath…"

Back with Nyx and the twins…

"Okay, so… that was something." Nyx said. "I need something to do to combat my anger against that asshole."

"Yeah, but should we-"

Ding dong!

The duo turned their heads as Nyx walked over and answered the door, seeing a hooded woman.

"Can I help you?" Nyx asked, trying to keep her frustrations with Kazuya in check.

"Is Jade Gadd here?"

"Um, no. You need her for something?"

"I'm a fan of her work."

"Ah. Who are you, by the way?"

"Oh me?"

The woman took off her hood.

"I'm Viola Silverlung."

Deadpool: Aw! Darn these cliffhangers!
