Peter and Zarda were dragged through the corridors though they kept protesting and and they had a look through the windows and saw that outside the gates of whatever palace they were in; there were crowds of people in what could only be called a more populated slums in Space. They were shown to a dungeon area and shoved into cells.
"Look everyone... new meat..." snapped out a prisoner as they looked towards them.
"Welcome to your new life as gladiators; try and not start something with the rest of us and we could get along... If you survive the Contest of Champions that is..." muttered a large humanoid muscular man with long blonde hair, a blonde heard, a silver winged hemet and a red cape. "Wait... A minute... Zarda?" spoke the man eyes widening after he looked at Zarda's direction and she looked at him and did the same.
"Thor?" Zarda asked eyes widened as they looked glad to see eachother.
"This is your friend that you told me about? I'm Spider-Man from Earth and I'm Zarda's boyfriend. You have kind of messed a lot from Earth..." Peter then greeted Thor wondering if this really was the Norse God of Thunder that he was seeing.
"Welcome Man of Spiders and Midgard has; they produced the Destroyer of Worlds." Thor ended up saying as Zarda and Peter's eyes widened.
"Destroyer of Worlds?" Peter asked shaking his head.
"See... The Destroyer of Worlds travels the skies with his multi colored suit and his Power Prism and he devastates communities and populations around the world. Setting them aside for when his world starts to travel the stars and build colonies. Those who refuses to listen to his demands are swiftly destroyed. Happened to my friends... We went from our world of Krona and to his Solar System and settled on a nice planet called Saturn. The Destroyer didn't like us in his solar system so he attacked and I escaped here..." a large bulky creature with a friendly smile that looked to be made of yellwo rocks explained in his warrior's outfit. "Hello Zarda and Spider-Man; I'm Korg!" he then explained as Zarda and Peter's eyes widened.
"Doctor Spectrum..." Zarda asked and they nodded.
"Ah yes... Most of the planet's population are made out of refugees whose homes were devastated by the Destroyer. We have to live at the mercy of the Grandmaster and only true joy is watching his Contest of Champions gladitorial games... As long as we don't take part but if we cause a ruckus then we get sent here... Only those he favors or sucks up to him are allowed to live in luxury in his palace..." said another gladiator.
"Ah yes... I tried to start a rebellion but no one turned up as I didn't make enough pamphlets so I was sent here..." Korg then expained happily as Zarda looked guilty and in horror.
"Was Ledger being like this all this time... How ignorant have I been for how bad they all have been... I knew he was a jerk..." Zarda muttered as eyes were on her.
"You're friends with the Destroyer... You are so dead..." muttered another as they furiously looked at her with death in her eyes as Zarda looked down sighing and Peter then looked at them to dare try anything with her.
"How did you get here Thor?" Peter asked Thor who coughed.
"Ragnarok came and my father Odin brought all of his mighty power of the Odinforce into my hammer Mjolnir and helped me survive... To build a new Asgard with the survivors but I got separated... We came here and one thing led to another... I was here while my fellow Asgardians cheer me on... I was the longest reigning Champion this place ever had!" Thor explained and boasted proudly.
"Until the Incredible came and took your title... Thor has been trying to beat him ever since." Korg then said as Thor glared.
"I would take care of him if I had Mjolnir... Has the Odinforce in it..." Thor muttered as Peter then thought of something and Zarda spotted this and could see what he was thinking.
The Squadron Supreme were all gathered to the Rocket Central to look over what had happened with the attack; no one was angrier at all this than Stark and Ledger. "This is great... We lost Power Princess, Spider-Man and Nuke... Not only that but whoever is responsible set him up to lose control and he died at my hands... I always liked him..." Ledger fumed and then looked to Stark who was ready to kick something. "Let me search the globe and the cosmos to find them..." Ledger then said as Stark shook his head.
"You are needed here... You are to act as acting leader of the Squadron as we investigate and have the spin doctors work on something to tell the public..." Stark then told him as Ledger at first looked annoyed but grinned at his new role.
Then there was Richmond behind them; "Spider-Man... Nick Fury was there along with the Punisher and said that Spider-Man got them up there... He has been a mole in the Squadron all along." Richmond told them as he then showed the security footage as Richmond and Ledger stared.
"It looks like you and Hyperion didn't do a good enough job at eliminating him and who knows who else survived... Fury knows too much sensitive information... When Spidey and Zarda are found... Alive and as unharmed as possible.. Bring them forward and I can convince Spidey to spill whatever nonsense Fury filled his head with." Stark said as Ledger stared at him.
"What? If he sided with a traitor to the military and the country..." Ledger demanded as Stark shook his head.
"He is lucrative and valuable IP. The Spider-Man brand is too valuable to let a public outcry destroy. He is young and impressionable enough." Stark finished as Ledger walked away in a huff as Richmond then said.
"As usual Stark; your priorities are in order." RIchmond told him as Stark went to face him but then he was gone.
"You would have thought that I would have been used to that by now..." Stark muttered shaking his head.
After hours Peter, Zarda and Thor dragged from their cells were taken to the entrance of the arena and shown which had an area to get weapons. Zarda got a sword and shield ready while Thor got an axe. A guard came up to them and said "Zarda... Grandmaster has gotten word about you being friends with the Destroyer and arranged for it to be spread around the populace who are eager to see the Champion rip you to shreds... He is willing to have you spared from your place as gladiator and join his harem..."
The guard yelled as he was punched hard in the face from a glaring Zarda as the guards then had a 'have it your way' look on their faces. The door then opened as they all entered what seemed to be a huge colliseum.
The crowd was packed and at the balcony there was the Grandmaster with some importantly dressed indivuals as he held up the Space Stone. "My wonderful audience of subjects... I am your ruler Grandmaster gracing you all with the latest Contest Champions! Here with the Space Stone itself so we will be able to find and claim more gladiators to fight for your enjoyment!" Grandmaster told them.
"Let's meet our new gladiators after we get reintroduced to former Champion and longtime veteran... Give it a a hand to the God of Thunder himself Thor!" Grandmaster said as the crowd cheered and Thor put his arm up.
"Now here is Spider-Man!" Grandmaster then said as there were mostly silence and polite clapping from some which Peter found insulting and embarassing.
"Plus here is the lovely Power Princess Zarda who is good friends with the Destroyer of Worlds!" Grandmaster said as the crowd roared into boos and started throwing trash her way which had Zarda look down.
"Now for the one you all want to see... Your undefeated reigning Champion... The Incredible Hulk!" the Grandmaster said and the electricity and excitement of the crowd was if this was a wrestling event where you had Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock all rolled into one. Peter and Zarda's eyes widened at the name as crashing through the doors was an angry looking green bulky creature in armor.
"Can't be..." Peter muttered with Zarda as Thor grinned as he went in to fight and Hulk used his axe to trade blows at Thor's axe before Thor was tossed away. Zarda used her bracelets to take the blows coming from Hulk's fists as she went in ito attack but he sent her back with a clap of his hands. Peter then swooped in and helepd her up and stood before Hulk.
Hulk looked down at Peter and stared at him; it turned from inquisite to realisation as the crowd started booing impatiently. "It's you... You listened to me as I told you that I only wanted to be alone... You're that Spider-Man..." Hulk whispered as Peter took this in.
"Is this the Hulk talking or Bruce Banner?" Peter asked as Hulk scoffed.
"We are one and the same now... All this time and our minds became one... We were found on that planet and brought here... The crowd cheers me on and are not afraid of me but... Grandmaster treats me like his little show animal and prized toy..." Hulk replied stomping the ground as Peter thought that this was what he needed to hear.
"I have a plan to take Grandmaster down..." Peter told him as Hulk grinned.
"What is going on here..." Thor asked confused as Zarda told him to just watch as she smirked.
Peter whispered at Hulk what to do as he then grabbed him and faced the balcony; "Are you not entertained..." Peter shouted to the booing crowd as Grandmaster frowned. Hulk took steps back and leaped at the balcony smashing around it. The Grandmaster's guests and scantily clad harem ran away screaming as Peter (after taking a minute to catch his breath) used a web to yank the Space Stone away from the Grandmaster.
He then felt the power in it as he opened up a portal to Zarda's room and then got out Mijolnir and the Chain of Veracity. Hulk jumped back down to the arena as Peter tossed Zarda the Chain and Thor the hammer as the crowd were fleeing. "All these years..." Thor muttered in awe and happiness as he put Mjolnir up and storm clouds filled the sky and he was flowing with electricity as it was zapped.
"The Allfather is now me... Father's Odinforce is now my Thorforce... Grandmaster... I will have words with thee!" Thor yelled as the guards scrambled into the arena as Thor then sent thunder at the balcony destroying and then tossed the gaurds back as he went in and freed all the gladiators.
Soon Grandmaster and his allies were tossed outside the palace as the gladiators along with Peter and Zarda watched with them looking fearfully at the angry crowd of citizens. "Should we call it a draw..." Grandmaster asked as he was then attacked by the mob.
"Let's hear it for King Thor!" shouted out an Asgardian as the crowd were cheering him on.
"I am supposed to accept you as my king Blondie?" Hulk retorted looking at Thor.
"How about if I make you the general of my army and my right hand man?" Thor then asked as Hulk laughed as he relented.
"How about you come with us to Earth... It really needs fixing and we could use your help..." Zarda suggested as Thor shook his head.
"This world needs fixing and needs help more..." Thor then told them as they knew that he was right.
"Just send us back to Earth and the Space Stone is safer with you... A lot of bad people who would want to use it..." Peter then said as Thor nodded and they said their goodbyes as Peter jumped as he got a pat on the back from Hulk.
Thor then opened up a portal as Peter and Zarda then exitted through to find themselves in some sort of jungle. "Really should have specified WHERE on Earth..." Peter groaned as Zarda facepalmed as they noticed that they didn't have their communication devices.
