The twelve digidestined met up to discuss matters, but Davis left a heavy burden on everyone. He's having a hard time forgiving the others because it felt like Tai and the others just forgot them, and that's something friends and a team can't do. Tai and the others try to justify it, but they do feel rather guilty.

"Guys, maybe we should go check on Davis." Yolei said.

"Kari and Veemon are up there with him. I'm sure he's fine." Hawkmon said. They were assure of that, but what was when they heard some sort of commotion and that caused the office to actually shake.

"What was that?!" Ken said. That was when they all saw something pass through the window. All of them hurried out and looked saw ExVeemon fighting against some sort of knight. ExVeemon tried attacking with a powerful strike, but that knight easily blocked it. He didn't even move an inch. Then, the knight fired a powerful blast from his lance and knocked him away.

"Izzy, who is that digimon?!" Tai questioned.

"Hang on. I'm looking." Izzy said as he used his computer to try and find more about that digimon. "Got it! His name is Gallantmon. He's a mega!"

"A mega?! ExVeemon doesn't stand a chance against him alone." Ken said.

"We've got to help him!" Mimi said as all of them hurried out and tried to help ExVeemon.

Outside

"V-Laster!" ExVeemon kept trying to fight off Gallantmon, but Gallantmon was able to block the attack easily. ExVeemon was clearly outmatched in this fight. Gallantmon jumped straight at him and thrusted his lance forward and was able to use it to knock ExVeemon away instead of piercing him.

"ExVeemon!" Davis called as he and Kari made it down to the streets and saw he was getting thrashed. "What's the deal with this guy? He comes out of some freaky portal and just attacks us?"

"I don't know, but there's no way ExVeemon can fight him alone. Gatomon, help him!" Kari said.

"I got it!" Gatomon said as she ran straight at Gallantmon.

"Lightning Paw!" She tried attacking him from right behind and managed to land a strike right in his back, but even the force of that attack didn't do anything. All it did was cause Gallantmon to turn to her. He grabbed a hold of her and tossed her roughly into the air.

"Gatomon, digivolve!" Kari called as she unleashed the power Gatomon needed.

"Gatomon digivolve to...Angewomon!"

"Angewomon digivolve to...Magnadramon!"

Knowing a mega was needed for this fight, Gatomon became Magnadramon. Magnadramon flew around and shot mystical fire at Gallantmon, but Gallantmon was able to block those attacks and unleashed another powerful blast from his lance. Magnadramon got hit rather hard by the attack and was knocked out of the ground. Meanwhile, Tai and the others were heading for the fight to help the others. They were just about to step in and help when two more giant digimon got in their way. One was a centaur-like creature six legs and red armor. The other was more human-like with a white cape.

"Two more?" Matt said.

"Izzy?" Tentomon said.

"Hang on." Izzy said as he looked up for more data on them. "I got it. They're both mega digimon, too. One is named Kentaurosmon and the other is named Gankoomon."

"No worries. Palmon, let's show them what we can do now." Mimi said.

"Oh yeah. I love becoming Rosemon." Palmon said.

"Gomamon, let's help them out!" Joe said.

"You got it!" Gomamon said. That was when they were both unleashing their power to fight.

"Palmon digivolve to...Togemon!"

"Togemon digivolve to...Lilymon!"

"Lilymon digivolve to...Rosemon!"

"Gomamon digivolve to...Ikkakumon!"

"Ikkakumon digivolve to...Zudomon!"

"Zudomon digivolve to...Vikemon!"

When those two digivolved, they got straight to work in fighting off the two megas. Rosemon used her whip to lasso Kentaurosmon while Vikemon smashed into Gankoomon. While they were fighting, the rest of the team tried to move around the two megas so they could help Davis and Kari. However, their enemies wouldn't allow it as Kentaurosmon fired with a crossbow and unleashed a few arrows that exploded into ice and blocked off their path. After he did that, Kentaurosmon easily broke free from Rosemon's whip and Gankoomon struck Vikemon right in the face and knocked him to the ground.

"Oh man! These two are stronger than they look!" Joe said.

"Yeah, but there's something else." Izzy said. "Those two don't appear to be infected like other digimon were. If they're not infected, what they even doing here?" Things seemed rather odd. With the others occupied, Magnadramon and ExVeemon and fought Gallantmon.

"V-Laser!" ExVeemon attacked again, but his attack was easily blocked. When that didn't work, he tried smashing his fists against him. ExVeemon attacked a couple times and then tried smashing them straight down from above, but they were all blocked. Gallantmon pushed him off and gave him a powerful kick that knocked him down. Magnadramon flew around and came straight at him. However, Gallantmon just stepped to the side and grabbed her by the tail. When he did that, he just tossed her away.

"Magnadramon!" Kari called in concern.

"What's with this guy?!" Davis said as this wasn't looking good at all. This digimon seemed stronger than anything they've faced before. Magnadramon looked down for the count. A perfect opportunity to finish her, but he didn't. He went for ExVeemon again.

"Wait. It looks like he's only interested in ExVeemon." Kari said.

"But why only him?" Davis questioned. Something weird was going on. It was like Gallantmon was waiting for something. Meanwhile, Rosemon and Vikemon continued to fight off Gankoomon and Kentaurusmon. Despite their efforts, they were both rather strong.

"Forbidden Temptation!"

"Arctic Blizzard!" Both of them tried attacking together, but it wasn't enough. Kentaurosmon unleashed his own blizzard with Gankoomon unleashing some sort of dragon-like beast made of energy. Their attacks were much stronger and blasted Rosemon and Vikemon with such power that they were forced to revert to Bukamon and Tanemon.

"Bukamon!" Joe called.

"I'm coming, Tanemon!" Mimi called as they hurried to their partners.

"I can't believe how strong those two are!" Sora said.

"Sora, we've got to do something!" Biyomon said.

"T.K., you and the others go help Davis and Kari. We'll take care of these two." Matt said.

"You got it." T.K. said as he, Ken, Cody, and Yolei tried to make their way around the ice to help their friends.

"Gabumon, are you ready?" Matt asked.

"I am." Gabumon said.

"Tai, we're going to fight, right?" Agumon asked.

"Yeah, but be careful. With the kind of power those two have, the area is going to change pretty quickly." Tai said as he's a little worried about the damage that's going to be done. Regardless of that, the others had their digimon digivolve into their mega levels and tried to fight off those two powerful digimon. Meanwhile, ExVeemon managed to get back up and was still willing to fight. As for Gallantmon, he just stood there and appeared to be waiting for ExVeemon to attack first.

"I don't get it. What's he waiting for? What does this guy even want?" Davis said as he didn't like how things were unfolding.

"Davis, hold on!" Ken called as he and the others were on their way. "Wormmon, let him have it!"

"Gladly!" Wormmon said.

"Wormmon digivolve to...Stingmon!"

When Wormmon digivolved, he flew at Gallantmon with his stinger ready to strike. He thrusted it forward, but it didn't even penetrate Gallantmon's armor. All Gallantmon did was just simply knock him away like the bug he was.

"Hawkmon, get in there!" Yolei said.

"Armadillomon, help them!" Cody said.

"Right!"

"Hawkmon digivolve to...Aquilamon!"

"Armadillomon digivolve to...Ankylomon!"

Both digimon charged right at Gallantmon, but he didn't even flinch or anything. He was able to knock them both away rather easily as well. It wasn't because they all have been out of it for a while. It was because this digimon is just that much stronger than them. Then, he looked up and saw that Patamon already became Angemon. Angemon flew straight down and tried to strike with that staff, but Gallantmon stopped that as well.

"Angemon! Kick it up to the next level!" T.K. called as Angemon was thinking the same thing.

"Angemon digivolve to...MagnaAngemon!"

"MagnaAngemon digivolve to...Seraphimon!"

"Wow! Amazing!" Yolei said as she and the others were impressed with what they saw.

"So Patamon and the others really can reach their mega level. That's incredible." Cody said as he felt the same way. Once Angemon became Seraphimon, he tried to strike Gallantmon, but Gallantmon actually moved this time. He avoided Seraphimon's attack and started to charge his shield with power. Once it was fully powered, Gallantmon unleashed a powerful beam that blasted against Seraphimon and pushed him back.

"Even a mega digimon can't seem to overpower him!" Cody said as they were all amazed with Gallantmon's power.

"What does he even want? What is it with these guys?" Yolei questioned as she didn't like how things were unfolding. Magnadramon pulled herself together and tried getting back in the fight as well. However, He just struck her right in the face and knocked her down again.

"Even Magnadramon and Seraphimon can't seem to stop him." Kari said.

"Well, we've got our own mega power as well!" Davis said as he wasn't backing down just yet. "Ken, let's do it!"

"Right! Stingmon, get ready!" Ken called. "We need Imperialdramon for this one!"

"Right. ExVeemon, do you think you can DNA digivolve?" Stingmon questioned.

"Don't worry about me. I'm still ready for a fight." ExVeemon said.

"Let's do it!" Davis and Ken said as they both held up their D3s and were about to have their digimon reach their strongest combined form, but Gallantmon noticed it himself.

"Exveemon!"

"Stingmon!"

"DNA digivolve to..."

Both of them were about to DNA digivolve, but Gallantmon actually managed to interrupt the process. He jumped in the way just as the two of them were about to merge and knocked both of them away from each other. Davis and the others were flabbergasted. Nothing like that has ever happened before.

"There's no way!" Davis voiced what they were all thinking. Gallantmon didn't stop his assault as he managed to grab a hold of ExVeemon and smashed him against the ground. "ExVeemon!"

"I can't believe what I just saw! His timing was perfect!" Ken said. "He got in the way just as they were about to merge and interrupted the digivolution process. I've never seen a digimon do anything like that before."

"Should we try Sylphymon and Shakkoumon?" Yolei questioned.

"That won't do any good." Cody said. "If even two megas like Seraphimon and Magnadramon can't even lay a scratch on him, how can those two? Besides, if he could intervene like he just did with ExVeemon and Stingmon, there would be no point. We haven't been this overpowered since the times we fought BlackWarGreymon."

"Who is this guy?" Davis said as he was getting frustrated. As for poor ExVeemon, he appeared to be at Gallantmon's mercy with how he was held down.

"That is not the form I want you to become." Gallantmon said as he actually spoke for the first time.

"Oh, look... He actually speaks." ExVeemon mocked. "What do you mean that's not the form you want me to become?"

"I want you to become the form I want to face you in." Gallantmon said, but none of them understood what that meant. What he said next was another surprise to the others. He's asking him to become someone ExVeemon might not even be able to become. "Become Magnamon."
