The party in the common room lasted for quite a long time. I had bowed out of the party after the first hour and was now laying on my bed with Adom. Adom had taken his necklace off so now he looked like Imhotep.
"You know it is dangerous for you to have that off. Someone could walk in at any moment." I said
"No one would dare enter without your permission." Imhotep said
I went to say something but felt a shift in the air. I flicked my hand towards the door and heard it lock.
"Speak." I said
The sand moved and a soldier.
"After the incident on the field. I followed like always. They went into the room with lots of beds, and a short chubby lady came running over. The chubby lady kept yelling about how stupid someone must be to vanish bone. The woman made him drink something and he made a weird face, then started making the noise one does when in pain." the soldier reported
"Did anyone else say anything?" I asked
"No, however a woman with fire hair cried a lot. Other than that nothing else was said or done." the soldier said
"Thank you. You may return to watching." I said
The soldier nods his head and leaves. I continue to just look at the spot where the soldier once was.
"What has you thinking so hard?" Imhotep asked
"One would think they would want something to happen to the guy that made bones vanish from their son." I said
"Maybe they are just horrible people." Imhotep said
"You know what, I don't want to waste any more time talking or thinking about them." I said
"Okay." Imhotep said

A few days had passed since the Quidditch incident. My sand soldiers were keeping an eye on the annoying trio. My group was currently sitting in the common room, once again talking about the chamber.
"So I was looking back through the school archives. It would seem that this is the second time the chamber has been opened." Marcus said
"How long ago?" Theo asked
"1942-1943" Marcus said
"So about 50 years ago." Cassius said
We were all quiet for a moment.
"So how come it is just now reopening?" Draco asked
"He has a point, if the person who opened it 50 years ago was at the minimum a first year, they would have had a child long before now. I would guess they would have a grandchild." Adrian said
We were all quiet after that statement.
"What are you thinking about Amara?" Neville asked
"I don't think the heir is the one who opened it this time around." I said
"Why?" Adam asked
"Because it doesn't make sense that there is such a large gap of time. Plus a true heir wouldn't broadcast to the entire school that they were here. It goes back to the point I made the other day in Transfiguration. A true Slytherin wouldn't let their intentions known." I said
"I agree. None of this seems like anything a true Slytherin would do." Adrian said
"So if it's not a Slytherin, then who is it?" Neville asked
"That is the question. I would guess that they would have to have some ties to Slytherin to even remotely know about the chamber." Cassius said
"We will just have to keep our eyes and ears open. I have spent a year remaking our house and I won't let anyone undo or slow down the progress we have made." I said
"Do the annoying trio still believe that I opened the chamber?" Draco asked
"That they do. They believe that your father opened it while he was here, and now you are the one opening it." Adom said
Draco then lets out a laugh.
"That is hilarious, my father the Heir of Slytherin." Draco said
Theo and Neville also let out a little laugh.
"Back to the topic at hand, are they still planning on brewing the Polyjuice Potion?" Cassius asked
"Yes, they are in the process of brewing it now." I said
"Where? I doubt they would risk doing it in a potion lab which is the saftest place." Adrian said
"They are not using a potion lab, nor are they using an empty classroom. They are using the girls' lavatory on the second floor." Adom said
"The one that is haunted by Moaning Myrtle?" Marcus asked
"Yes." I said

A golden stage has been erected. Lockhart struts atop it. All of us second-years surround the stage on either side.
"Gather round! Gather round! Can everyone see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little Dueling Club, to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves as I myself have done on countless occasions - for full details, see my published works." Fakehart said
I see a boy from Hufflepuff lean over and say something to Jr. Jr. in turn listens but gives him a small glare the entire time. The boy says a few more things and then looks back up at the stage.
"What do you think they were talking about?" Theo asked
"Who cares." I said
Fakehart soon starts to talk again.
"Let me introduce my assistant Professor Snape. He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now I don't want any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have your Potions Master when I'm through with him, never fear!" Fakehart said
"This should be fun." I said
Fakehart and Snape face each other and bow. They turn, walk ten paces, then…spin…wands poised like swords.
"As you can see, we are holding our wands in the accepted combative position. On the count of three, we will cast our first spells. Neither of us will be aiming to kill, of course." Fakehart said
"I agree, this should be good." Theo said
"One-two-three -" Fakehart starts
"Expelliarmus!" Snap says
A dazzling flash of scarlet light bursts forth and blasts Fakehart off his feet and into the wall behind him.
"That was great." I said
"I agree I think that is a top ten memory." Theo said
Fakehart unsteadily gets to his feet.
"Well, there you have it. That was a Disarming Charm. As you see, I've lost my wand." Fakehart said
The squirrel picks up his wand and hands it back to him.
"Ah, thank you, Miss Granger. Yes, an excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don't mind my saying so, it was very obvious what you were about to do. If I had wanted to stop you it would have been only too easy…" Fakehart said
"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor." Snape said
"An excellent suggestion, Professor Snape. Let's have a volunteer pair. Potter, Weasley, how about you?" Fakehart asked
"Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox. Might I suggest someone from my own house? O'Connell, perhaps." Snape said
Adom, Theo, and Neville look at me, while I look at Snape. I walk up the steps and take my place on the stage across from Jr. We bow to each other, turn, walk ten paces, then whirl, wands poised.
"Wands at the ready! When I count to three, cast your charms to disarm your opponent - only to disarm. We don't want any accidents. One, two -" Fakehart started
Jr fires early, I am prepared for it and throw up a shield. Jr looks shocked, I raise an eyebrow at him.
"Rictusempra." I said
The silver-colored light hit Jr, making him double over, wheezing. I then take the chance and cast another spell.
"Expelliarmus" I said
The spell hits Jr, who just like Fakehart goes flying backwards into the wall. His wand goes falling out of his hand.
"That was a great example of not only a block but also the disarming spell. Five points to Slytherin. I also am quite disappointed you Mr. Potter for breaking the rules of a duel and firing early." Fakehart said
I got applause from the Slytherins and glares from the Gryffindors. I gave a small bow and got off the stage. Carrot Top helped Jr off the stage, and the squirrel gave him back his wand. Fakehart and Snap took turns calling people up onto the sage and having them practice the disarming charm and shield charm.
That was very good. -Tom said
Thank you, it was pretty simple actually compared to other spells I've cast.
Of course it was, they were after all second-year spells. -Tom said
Why do I feel as if you just insulted me?
That was not my attention. -Tom said
I don't want to hear it.
Amara I didn't mean-
I cut Tom off.
"Trouble in paradise?" Adom asked
"Funny. He basically insulted me and is trying to say he did not mean to." I said
"Do not let him get to you." Adom said
"I will not, I shut him out for the moment." I said
"Good girl." Adom said

It's been a few days since the dueling club happened, and still have Tom shut out of my mind. He's upset I can tell because he is trying to get back in which is giving me a raging headache. Somehow a rumor had gotten spread that Jr could talk to snakes. We were walking down a corridor talking about this new rumor.
"So anyone know where this rumor came from or how it started?" I asked
"Not really. It appeared out of nowhere overnight." Theo said
"Why would someone start a rumor like that? I mean what is there to gain from such a rumor?" Cassius asked
"I have no clue. If anything I half expected a Slytherin to start a rumor that they were the heir." I said
The entire group stopped walking and just looked at me.
"Why is that?" Adrian asked
"Why wouldn't a Slytherin want to be known as the heir? Other than the fact that they would be the de facto ruler of Slytherin. They would have a fourth ownership of Hogwarts. As well as having the prestige of being a descendent of one of the founders." Adom said
"That does all make sense." Marcus said
"I still want to know who started the rumor and what they have to gain from it." I said
"I can ask around and see what I can find out." Cassius said
"Also get a message to Neville and see what he can find out from the Gryffindors." I said
"Of course." Cassius said
We turn to walk around the corner and come face-to-face with Jr. standing over a petrified Hufflepuff.
"Well, this is a development." I said
Jr whipped around and looked at us.
"I didn't do it swear." Jr said
"Are you sure because this all looks very suspicious." I said
We heard someone else come walking towards us and Professor McGonagall came around the corner.
"Professor, I swear I didn't-" Jr starts
"This is out of my hands, Potter. Mr. Filch, will you take care of this, please?" McGonagall asked
We look behind McGonagall where Filch stands in the shadows.
"Caught in the act. I'll have you out this time, Potter. Mark my words…" Filch trails off
"I promise Professor, those Slytherins can prove that I didn't do it." Jr said
McGonagall looked over at us and raised an eyebrow.
"Is that true, Miss. O'Connell?" McGonagall asked
"I can't say for sure Professor. We came around the corner and all we saw was Potter standing over the Hufflepuff." I said
Jr glared at us.
"Thank you for your honesty, Miss. O'Connell. Mr. Potter once again follow me." McGonagall said
They left the corridor and so did we.
"Did he honestly think we would lie for him?" Marcus asked
"Evidently." Adrian said
"Cassius, if you would please go find Neville and find out what all he knows." I said
"Of course." Cassius said
He turned and headed off on the hunt for Neville.
"You know we should have some sort of way to communicate with each other. One of these days someone is going to catch Neville with us, which will only raise questions." I said
"I'll look into it." Adrian said
We continued down the hallway, we passed by an abandoned classroom and I heard a noise. I stopped and continued to listen. It took the others a moment to notice that I had stopped walking.
"What's wrong?" Theo asked
"I heard something." I said
"From the classroom. No one uses this classroom." Adrian said
I moved to open the door but the boys stopped me.
"Why did you stop me?" I asked
"Who knows what is on the other side of these doors? Stand back and let us open them." Draco said
I rolled my eyes and let out a small huff. I made a motion with my hand.
"Very well." I said
Draco and Theo both grabbed a hold of a handle, and Marcus and Adrian both had their wands in hand ready to fire off a spell ready to fire if needed. Adam was standing in front of me.

They opened the doors and the room was dark, and looked empty. However, I could feel the magic of someone inside. I stepped around Adam, moved past Marcus and Adrian, and walked right into the room.
"Light" I said
A ball of light appeared in my hand, which I then threw into the air. The light spread to every corner of the room. Once the room was full of light I noticed a girl in the corner of the room. I moved towards her. The girl was awake, her clothes were covered in some type of liquid. Upon closer look, I concluded that it was water. She also looked like someone had beat her up. I heard footsteps and turned to notice that Marcus, Adrian, and Adam had entered the classroom and the doors were once again closed.
"Theo and Draco are guarding the door." Marcus said
I nodded my head and then turned back to the girl.
"I'm going to take my wand out and cast a spell okay? I will not hurt you." I said
I took out my wand and pointed it at her.
"Finite Incantatem" I said
The spell left my wand wrapped around the girl, and then it disappeared. The girl's fingers started to move, she then turned her head and looked at me and the boys.
"Thank you." she said
"How long have you been in here?" I asked
"I'm not too sure, I would think not too long." the girl said
"Who did this to you?" Marcus asked
She didn't say anything.
"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to." I said
She looked at me, it was a weird look.
"My housemates. They call me weird because I see things that they don't believe in." she said
The boys and I shared a look.
"Let's get you cleaned up, and into some dry clothes. It is far too cold in this room to be covered in so much water. You'll catch your death." I said
"I think that was their plan." she said
I gave her my hand to help her stand, and she gladly took it and stood. She went to take a step but almost fell if it wasn't for Adrian catching her. He then picked her up and carried her out of the classroom. The classroom was rather close to the Slytherin common room. We made it to the common room without anyone seeing us. We walked into the common room.
"Adrian if you would please follow me." I said
We walked out of the common room and down the girls' dorm hall. We entered my room.
"I will start a warm bath, give me a moment." I said
They both nod their heads. I quickly moved into the bathroom to start the bath, once the bath was full and at a good temp I called Adrian in.
"Sit her down here." I said
He did that and then left the bathroom. I knew he didn't leave my room.
"Let's get you undressed and into the bath." I said
She helps me and soon she is in the bath. I notice the small breeze and a small pile of sand appear.
"You can call the sand if you need to. It must have information for you." the girl said
My eyes go wide and I look at her.
"How did you know?" I asked
"The Nargles told me." She said
I just stare at her for a few moments.
"It's safe" I said
The soldier soon forms.
"Jr was taken to the headmaster. His parents were there, he was not in any sort of trouble. He did talk about the fact that you and your group could have helped him. A very bad man came and kept going on about how the boy was innocent. They also talked about a weird bird that burst into flames and then came back from the ashes. The headmaster did ask the boy a lot if there was anything he wanted to tell him. The boy said no. " the soldier said
"Thank you. You have been the reporting to me often, so rest and send someone else for a little while" I said
"Of course." the soldier said
He bowed and then disappeared into the sand.
"What did the sand man say, about the boy and the old goat?" the girl asked
"The goat has a Phoenix and doesn't think the boy has anything to do with what has been happening." I said
Everything was quiet for a moment.
"Wait, how did you know that is where I sent the solider?'" I asked
The girl blinked, then smiled.
"It was the logical guess. I am a Ravenclaw." she said
I smiled at her.
"Will you be okay for a second while I find you something to wear?" I asked
"Yes." she said
I nodded my head and left the bathroom. I walked into my room to see Adrian standing by the door. We nodded at each other and I headed over to my closet to look for something she might like. I stood there for a good few minutes simply looking.
"Would you like help?" Adrian asked
"Yes. I have a brother so I'm not too sure what to grab. Plus I don't own that many girly things." I said
"I understand." Adrian said
He looked at my clothes and ended up grabbing a dress that my mom had bought me a while back. He then took out his wand and shot a spell at the dress.
"Now it will fit her." Adrian said
"Thank you, We will be out shortly." I said
I grabbed the dress and then headed over to the dresser and grabbed a brand-new pair of underwear for her. After that, I headed back into the bathroom. She was already out and had a towel wrapped around her.
"Sorry that took so long, I've never picked out clothes for someone other than me. Adrian had to help. It should also fit, Adrian cast a spell on it." I said
I handed her the two items and turned around so she could change. We were silent while she put them on.
"I'm done." She said
I turned back around. The dress looked better on her than it did on me the one time I wore it.
"Does everything fit okay?" I asked
"Yes, it does." She said
"I'm glad, Let's head out of the common room the others are waiting." I said
She nods her and we leave the bathroom and enter my room where Adrian is waiting for us.
"We are heading out to the common room now." I said
Adrian nodded his head and followed us out of the room. We made our way to the common room. When we entered the common room everything went quiet and everyone looked toward us,
"Since I have everyone's attention. This is…" I trial off just now realizing I didn't know her name.
"Luna Lovegood." She said
"This is Luna Lovegood, she is a first-year Ravenclaw. She is also under my protection from now on. So make sure everyone in Slytherin knows. If you see anyone from a different house bullying her or trying to hurt her, you stop it. " I said
Everyone nods their heads in understanding and then goes back to what they were doing. Luna, Adrian, and I take our seats and the conversation picks back up. Adom leaned over so his head was closer to mine.
"Anything interesting happen?" Adom asked
"A sand soldier showed up, I wasn't going to have him report his information to me later. But she knew he was there?" I said
I could see the shock in his eyes, but he hid it pretty well.
"How?" Adom asked
"She said that a creature told her. A creature I have never heard of before." I said
"What was the name of the creature? Maybe it is from ancient times?" Adom asked
I went to answer his question, but Luna bet me to it
"Nargle."
Both Adom and I look at her.
"Luna, do you understand us?" I asked
She just laughed.
"That is so unfair." Theo said
"Luna?" I asked
"Nargles." Luna said
Adom and I looked at each other.
"What do you think?" I asked
"I do not know what to think. What did the soldier tell you?" Adom asked
"Jr was taken to the headmaster. His parents were there, he did not get into any sort of trouble. He did talk about the fact that we could have helped him. That half-giant man came and kept going on about how the boy was innocent. They also talked about a Phoenix. The headmaster did ask the boy a lot if there was anything he wanted to tell him. The boy said no. " I said
"I have a feeling the headmaster knows more than he is letting on." Adom said
I nod my head in agreement.
"Um, do you care about sharing with the rest of us." Theo said
I shot him a look.
"What? That was a lot of Ancient Egyptian so it must have been something important." Theo said
"Jr didn't get into trouble nor was he really questioned about what happened. It would also seem that our great Headmaster may be more than he is letting on." I said
"Well, that is not all that surprising." Marcus said
Draco was about to add to the conversation when the common room door opened and Neville and Cassius walked in. They walked over and gave a side look to Luna. Both shared a quick bow and took their seats. They once again gave Luna a look.
"You don't have to worry about me. I am loyal to our one true queen. A queen who wears a crown even outside of this castle." Luna said
Adom and I once again exchange a look, and then we both look at Luna.
"Luna how?" I asked
"As I said earlier I see things that others don't," Luna said
"Very well." I said
I then look at Neville.
"No one in Gryffindor knows where the rumor came from. Lavender Brown however did mention she heard the paintings talking about it." Neville said
"On the way down here, I heard a few of the Hufflepuffs talking about it. It has already gotten around the school that Jr. was found standing over the petrified body of one of their own They no longer trust Jr. A few of them actually think he is the heir." Cassius said
I nod my head and think over all the information I currently had. From the paintings talking about it, the mandrake roots already being so close to maturity, Dumbdoor not being worried about it.
"Neville, how long does it take a Mandrake to go through all the stages of maturity?" I asked
"Um, about a year and a half. They start as a baby, then have a few months in their teen years, before moving on to the adult stage which is when they are usually used for potions." Neville said
"Why are you asking about Mandrakes? You will learn all about them in the fifth year." Marcus said
"We learned about this year." Draco said
"That's not right. We didn't learn about them till fifth year because of their ability to kill." Marcus said
Our group was quiet for a moment.
"The old goat started the rumor." I said
Everyone looked at me.
"Why do you think that?" Marcus asked
"It makes the most sense. He is not worried about the chamber being opened, the paintings who answer to him talking about the rumor of Jr. being able to talk to snakes. Also, the fact that we learned about them this year instead of in fifth year. Almost as if he knew what was going to happen. When we found the cat and I went back to listen to their conversation, he told Flinch that the mandrakes only had a few more months till they were ready." I said
"Do you think he knows who is behind it?" Theo asked
"I bet he has a guess, but no real proof." I said
" I wonder who opened it last time?" Draco asked
"The voice in your head holds all the answers." Luna said
I once again look at Luna with a look of surprise. At the same time, everyone else looks at her as if she is crazy.
"When are the things you say going to stop surprising me?" I asked
Luna simply smiles.
"When the demon twins join in on all the fun." Luna said
